While I ended up purchasing elsewhere, Hometown was exceptionally helpful in refunding my credit card on an order. It was for a chest freezer and I knew while ordering that it may take several weeks to arrive. I kept looking and found one elsewhere on about the same day Hometown contacted me that my order had arrived. They were gracious and understood my situation and refunded my credit card promptly. I will be shopping with them in the future.

Came in on a Thursday night. There was two people in their early twenties behind the counter. Very rude. I attempted to exchange a couple of broken Craftsman hand tools. One they accommodated, the other they couldn’t find in their computer so all I got was a shoulder shrug and an oh well. I asked how we can get this resolved and I was told smugly to go to Lowes, since they sell Craftsman tools now.Really!?! I came here, because I shop here. This is where I choose to spend my money. I can’t believe the rude service and suggestion I go to a competitor. So, that’s what I’ll do from now on. Congratulations- You just lost a customer over a screwdriver. How incredibly short sighted.

Ordered a freezer in June promise date of August Called them every week and they kept telling me it’s not here but also told me it would be here the falling week it never showed up. Told me I would get a 20 percent discount on the order which was a lie. Ended up canceling the order mostly because of their lying. Manager is the worst manager I have ever dealt with. Will never buy anything from them again,

I will never go to this store again!! I have been waiting for my refrigerator for over a month and now they have had it at their shop for over a week and they are trying to find someone to deliver it for free because they dont want to. Deliver was supposed to be set up, with another company, but that company has decided not to work with them any longer because of what is going on. I have had to call them to get updates every step of the way, they never call back when they say they will. Theyve got new ownership and employees and not a single one of them seems to know what is going on or how to solve a problem. HORRIBLE customer service, the employees are nice enough but to have a refrigerator come in a month late and have it at your shop for over a week and not be able to deliver is ridiculous! Customer service and making customers happy is obviously not a priority here.

I ordered a freezer from them in june, I was told it wouldnt be until the 5th of july, I waited no call from them to say it has come in, it is the 18th of September, still no freezer, I call or show up in the store to check on if they have date it will be there, Im either told a future date or they know nothing. I have always loved buying from Sears in the past, but this has not been a good experience! They havent called me once, I always have to call them or go to store to check on it. Poor customer service I think.

Worst customer service Ive ever experienced. Will not return calls. Ordered a stove in December was told it would be here January 27th. Called 8 different times to find about a home delivery the girls were very nice but could never get the manager to get back to me, so I gave up on that. Called yesterday to see about progress because when i ordered it they said it could be early. I found out they took my money and never even ordered the stove so 3 days before pickup date i find out it never even got ordered. Now manager still wont return my calls but they still have my $756.00 wrote this review in Hopes owner or someone will get ahold of me

Bought a $1200 dishwasher plus $159 for installation, their manager installed it after Sear’s installer backed out of their contact with them. Ran a load twice and water came out the front twice. It was installed unleveled. Called Sears got ran through the ringer. Finally had to get a hold of Kitchen Aid themselves to get a repairman to the house. They Re-installed the dishwasher level and ran like a champ after that. However, got charged $159.99 for that installation. Sear’s told me that I have to pay it or handle it with the repair company. It got installed wrong, yet I have to pay an additional $159. Will never buy from Sears Hometown in Longview again and will tell everyone I know to do the same.

We ordered a dishwasher from this store a few months ago and our experience has been fantastic. We had a problem on our end toward the beginning and management was very helpful in getting it resolved. Havent had any problems since. Great store with a great staff!

I always like coming here. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a good variety of home appliances. They also have a good supply of Craftsman and other tools, although a larger selection would be nice.

They were amazing. I ordered a Maytag, after a month of waiting I went in to cancel my order and get something else. The owner was very kind and gave me a very nice discount on a more expensive set, because I had to wait so long. This was something completely out of her control, she made it right. I will never go anywhere else for any appliances, I will refer everyone I know to her. This truly is Hometown.

This isnt #Sears. They should be ashamed to have their name associated with this place. I visited this place when it first opened looking for a sunshade for my Craftsman Lawn Tractor. It seemed a bother for someone to get up and help me. Almost like they didnt want to sell anything so I left. Its been about a year so I decided to give it another try. Went there today and found one of the employees was actually pleasant and helpful. When I went to the counter the woman was one of the rudest people Ive ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Arguing about everything. She wouldnt honor the Sears Rewards coupon but somehow was able to access our Sears Rewards account and take payment. I brought up a 6 pack of oil I had gotten from a display that was clearly marked at $9.99 and she rung it up. $1.99 for each one in the pack. Um no it was right here behind the price. She repliedWell someone must have JUST put it there like she was implying that I had done it. Right in front of the check stand. Right next to the other 6 packs of oil? Next to the single bottles? And faced it? By this point I was so mad I told my wife lets go. The woman continued arguing and I had to leave. My wife somehow managed to finish the transaction. She got in the car talking about wanting to punch the rude woman in the face lol. Thats why I left. Going into a store to make a purchase shouldnt make me feel like that. Maybe waiting a year wasnt long enough. Ive managed much bigger stores and if my employees behaved like that theyd be hittin the bricks. In any case Ill be taking my business elsewhere. If I want something from Sears Ill order it online and let this Hometown store whither and die. I hope the nice lady finds a better job.Update: To her credit the manager responded to this review. Honestly, Im unsure how to respond. True to my word I made my Sears purchases online. Perhaps, in time, I will once again wander into this store. Had it not been for her response it would be a hard Never again! But at least now Im considering it.

Sears Hometown in Longview is an amazing environment to shop in the customer service is top notch Tammy Drury is the wonderful sales agent who assisted me while I was looking into purchasing a new freezer. She was kind and so informative and I left completely satisfied and I can garentee that my freezer will be bought from Sears Hometown in Longview and rung up by Tammy Drury in December. One of the best places I could shop at for tools and appliances. Very friendly staff and delivery Team. I wish this store would carry electronics like TVs sound systems exc. But overall amazing experience. I would recommend this store to anyone looking to get the best experience. I tried homedepote and lowes and there service doesnt even compare meaning I have to find someone to help me. With sears hometown I was greeted when I came in and was helped. They were nice enough to let me use there restroom even when it was in the back.

I have had a very bad experience with the Longview store. I ordered a stove they told me it would be two weeks out and here on jan 9th. Jan 9th came around and they called me saying it would not be here until Jan 23. At this time i have been without a stove since the Jan 9th morning because i sold my old one to make room for the new. Today is Jan 23 and i was very excited to have a stove back, noooooo. Sears hometown called me and said they will not have it tell the 30th, what the f#%k. I have already been without no way of cooking since the 9th and guess what. I call the damn store and its closed until further notice. I am not very happy with this place. Really sucks because we Re remodeling and we had all of our appliances picked out, never again.This is horrible.

This store has THE WORST customer service ever. I bought a washer on close out. The washer I really wanted was on display right next to it but was not available for 30 days. The close out was available to be delivered on Tuesday Tuesday came & 930 AM came & I called to see what time to be available - I was told I would be called within 45 minutes. 2 hours later 2nd call to ask a time frame. I was told the delivery truck was 11/2 hrs away & out of cell service. Still no time & 1/2 my day waiting. One hour later and no call I called & canceled the washer. Ordered the original washer I wanted from Home Depot, delivery in 7 days, a call the day before with 4 hr time frame for delivery, and no bait & switch to a model available sooner. Take a lesson Sears Home Store in Longview Washington, poor customer service will shut down your store.
