Great experience and we were not pressured at all, with our purchase. My fiancé and I, had a pleasant time, picking out our first purchase together. The new bed and mattress was exactly what we were looking for. We also purchased night stands and a dresser. Easy purchase, easy financing, great delivery, and the men were very careful putting everything together. We will always buy from Ivan Smith Furniture.

I visited 4 furniture stores in Longview looking for a sofa. Not only were the prices best at Ivan Smith, the quality is top notch and the salesman let me just wander around without pestering or pushing me like in other furniture stores. When I had questions, he was helpful and answered them honestly. I ended up calling him back the next day and ordered the sofa and paid over the phone. It came a week later which was really quick. I don’t buy furniture often, but every time I do, I buy from Ivan Smith.

We have been very happy with our many purchases from Ivan Smith Furniture. One exception was a twin mattress. We are very grateful for the professional service evaluation addressing the issue and resulting refund honoring the manufacturers warranty. We have a wonderful replacement from them now and ongoing confidence to continue to recommend our Ivan Smith store. The staff were all cordial and helpful through this process as well.

I would never purchase from Ivan Smith again. We made the mistake of purchasing a mattress with a 100 day trial period. It was very uncomfortable because it was to soft, they exchanged it but charged us a $150 restocking fee, and gave us a one time chance to exchange it for another one, this one was to hard not like the one we laid on in the store. We called and ask to change it and was told that it was not store policy to do so, but they would, although we felt humiliated for asking in the store managers response. We also spent over $4000, at this store.

The salesman was very attentive and eager to make the sale. He then turned it over to the finance dept and they were very quick to get their job done. Once I signed for my merchandise I have been given multiple delivery dates. As for my opinion of the products Ill have to wait till I get them.

I am thoroughly enjoying my sofa. Mary Lou was exemplary in the service she gave. Helpful in every way. I at first ordered a sofa from a different manufacturer and they kept pushing delivery out. She helped me find another sofa they had in stock at the warehouse and we got it in 3 days.

We had a wonderful experience at Ivan Smith’s. Working with Echo (our sales rep) was fun and he was very informative. What he didn’t know he got the answers for us immediately. The delivery went well, we did have one piece damaged, but the delivery guy walked in the door letting us know he had already ordered the replacement. Great service all around. We’ll be back! Was greeted when I entered the store. A salesperson met me on the floor within minutes. He walked with me through the store. He let me shop without being pushy. He kept checking on me in a respectful way. Ive purchased from Ivan Smith several times and have been very pleased with the process every time. Will purchase more in the near future.

I bought my couch in January of 2021. Mary was great. She wasn’t pushy while I was shopping or anything. The only complaint I have would be the fact that three people told me when I’d be notified of when my couch would be in the wear house. First I was told then end of January. Then twice I was told 2/12. I made the final payment on my couch so it wouldn’t be held up for something that was my doing and come to find out now that I won’t be notified until 3/12. It is just VERY frustrating when you are told different information every time you turn around. I have a four year protection plan and now my question would be does it start the day I bought the couch or the day I actually get the couch?

I really hope she got full credit for the sale because she spent hours and hours with me over a few days to help me pick out and order everything I want for my new place! She was not pushy with me at all, very patient when it came to me making the right decisions! Made sure to show me all of my options, was able to start a cart for me, and gave honest opinions! Everyone was great. Delivery was on time and I was given 10 minute notice before arrival. Delivery person went the extra mile to get everything set up. Ivan Smith is a great company. Bryant is my go to sales person. Always helpful.

My wife and purchased a bedroom suit and the nightstands wasnt available at purchase. They told me they will be available in a month later. After a month in a half we havent heard from them at all. My wife had to call them to find out about the nightstands. Then it was only 1 available. So after 4 months we only have 1 nightstand and they dont call to keep us inform on the progress of the other nightstand.

We went to Ivan Smith in Sulphur Springs and worked with Mr. Funderburk. We have not purchased new furniture in almost 20 years and we were pleasantly surprised with the selection & options available. Mr. Funderburk was super knowledgeable about their products and gave great insight and recommendations. We ultimately went with a Mayo custom couch, oversized chair with ottoman and added on a new coffee table. We greatly enjoyed our shopping experience. Lastly, we were originally given a 6-8 week lead time but ended up getting everything delivered in around 3 weeks! Would recommend Ivan Smith Furniture to all my friends and family.

After shopping online we decided on the chair/recliner from Ivan Smith. I visited the local store and Sandy met my wife and me. We loved the showroom and Sandys help in deciding on the right chair. The delivery date was set and the delivery crew delivered and set up the chair as promised.

Update from my post review. It is now 03/24 and still no couch. If I didnt call on the 18th., I would not have known that the date of when the couch would be in the warehouse was changed again. Im close to canceling the entire thing. This is unacceptable.

A truly wonderful experience: Super helpful sales team! Purchase took less than 20 minutes: Didn’t have to spend time filling out ridiculous paperwork (like at Ashley’s) for a receipt. Delivery of 92” TV console only two days later. Delivery team were experts. No pleading to get piece where I wanted it. So happy!

I will never buy another thing from Mary Lou or Ivan Smith! She PROMISED my old mattress and box springs would be hauled off. She promised me this! When my delivery arrived the guys wouldn’t take it per corporate policy. When I called Mary Lou I got some half hearted response and finally acknowledgment they couldn’t haul the old one off! I was lied to for the sake of a sale. This is not the way you do business with me. So long Ivan Smith and Mary Lou. I will be telling everyone I know of this unacceptable treatment and lies told to make a sale.

Furniture was delivered damaged. Waited for my 3 hour window after they call saying I needed to help unload cause he didn’t have a helper. Showed up almost 3 hours late. Didn’t leave until almost 10pm. Was scheduled a redelivery so I had to wait on another 3 hour window for the driver to call and say the furniture was damaged and they would have to redelivery it another day. So much for wasting another 3 hours on a second day and still don’t have the product that I spent lots of money for. No compensation was offered, nothing for wasting my time the previous two times. We will see if the third time is correct.

Purchased a table and chairs from Ivan Smith in Longview and the sales person was great however after waiting almost a month to get it in they didn’t even put it together. I could of gone to Walmart if I wanted to build my own furniture. The manager was rude and said the stopped putting furniture together in March and even when they did they charged $30 to assemble it. Obviously they lack customer service skills through out the sale. I will never purchase furniture from Ivan Smith again because of this. The only reason I gave two stars instead of one is because the sales team does a good job and are friendly. The manager however lacks that quality. Extremely disappointed Ivan Smith thinks having customers assemble their own furniture is quality service.

A Trestle table was delivered to our home instead of the round table that we ordered. The men were courteous and the sales person authorized leaving it until the table that we ordered comes in. All in all my wife and I realize that people make mistakes and it is our belief that Ivan Smith has handled it as good as they possibly could. The only reason that I didn’t give them a five star rating is because the correct table was not delivered. We are still happy and anxiously waiting on the delivery of our new table.

We purchased a dining table and chairs. when delivered 3 of the chairs had one front leg cut short, which caused them to wabbel. We waiting for replacement chairs.

I’m in the process of a house remodel and we chose Ivan Smith in Marshall, Texas. The staff wasn’t able to keep their word so we asked and got a refund from a purchase we had made with them. We left Marshall and drove to the Ivan Smith in Longview, Texas. Salesperson Eric Taylor is the best! He allowed us time and gave suggestions on the furniture we chose. We purchased 3 bedroom sets, and 2 living room sets. We were very, VERY satisfied with the customer service from Eric Taylor. We will definitely shop Longview’s Ivan Smith from here on.

We came in looking for living room furniture etc. One person asked us if we could be helped and at the time we were just looking. Then another lady approached us and we ask her some questions and then she got taken by another customer. We left to go check out Lazy Boy Gallery down the road did not find anything we liked so we returned and then the sales person could help us. So we ended up buying 3 pieces from you guys. The delivery the first time, they damaged the sofa and the delivery man took pictures and said he would let them know so they could schedule another delivery. We went ahead and called the salesperson later in the day to make sure he had contacted them, she looked it up and said that she could see the problem with the delivery. Would let us know when they would have another sofa available for delivery which they did and it was delivered today 10-22 and it is ok.

If I could give 0 stars I would. My husband and myself ordered furniture for our new home a month and a half before our closing day. We bought a house full of furniture and they delivered us an ottoman that we didn’t even order. Mrs Mary Lou was very sweet and helpful but the STORE MANAGER WAS RUDE AND DIDN’T WANT TO DO ANYTHING TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. He treated us like he had better things to do then to address the problem we had. Then told us our refund wouldn’t be available for 6 days. I WILL NEVER BUY OR ORDER ANYTHING ELSE FROM IVAN SMITH LONGVIEW!!

I received excellent service. Showed me exactly what I was looking for and gave me alternatives in price and brand. No pressure, let me make my choice. I was searching for a split king adjustable bed for my 88 year old mother, who will soon be coming home from rehab to convalesce, and Brian was extremely helpful showing me difference in adjustable beds. Since mom isnt tech savvy, I chose not to get the one with all the bells and whistles, bluetooth, etc. Just needed a simple remote adjustable bed, purchased the higher quality mattresses, my choice, because my mom deserves the best; but they were also more suitable to her needs in height. Added the great waterproof mattress covers and threw in a couple of awesome pillows and pillow protectors. It was quick and efficient. Just the way I like. I had my sofa custom made from Mayo. I love that I supported an American company....and a Texas one at that! The sofa is superb quality and very comfortable. My sales person, Jordan, was very helpful even though she was new. All of the store employees I have come in contact with were great. And the delivery men were careful and quick!
