Amazing selection, friendly and helpful staff, and its a great place to explore! They have tons of guitars and also a selection of rare drums, woodwinds, classical instruments, and various accessories. Prices ended up being equal or cheaper than online due to their loyalty program rewards.
Everyone is always friendly and helpful. There are no pressure sales and they are happy to answer questions. I purchased an acoustic guitar a few months back, and it has been working perfectly. Will visit them again for my next guitar/amp purchase.
I ordered a lefty G&L Tribute Legacy Blue from California and I couldnt be happier. It arrived in the time expected and in better quality that Ive ever received other guitars from a major retailer. Thank you guys for offering lefties options and for the amazing customer service I received when inquiring about the guitars specs.
Fantastic local shop. I was in a bind and the luthier saved me. Great work at a good price and fast.
Service is always great here. Innumerable varieties of Ukuleles and sorts of diverse instruments, including guitars for left handed people. They also offer repairs and music lessons.
I love Jensen guitars. I always get great service and all my questions answered and believe me when I tell you that Im a very inquisitive guy lol. The repairs and setups are unmatched. Staff always steers me in the right direction to ensure that I ultimately get what I am REALLY looking for as half the time I dont really know. Jensen is the first place I go for music needs. The community support and charitable acts by Jensen Guitars is also very impressive. I only wish that they would open around 7 am. 😆
Excellent variety of instruments, accessories with knowledgeble and friendly staff.
Great service. Knowledgeable staff. Lots of products to check out.
Don has been great to us. He is always friendly and willing to help. The best guitar shop in town. Thank you Don!
Don and his team are always very knowledgeable and helpful. He has been fixing my guitars for over 15 years.
Awesome music store. Very friendly.
Great customer service !!! Order new Seymour Duncan pickups, on Wednesday, in my mailbox Saturday !!! Thanks guys!!!
Don Jensen (owner) is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The shop is a real nice, locally-owned and operated store. Great alternative to massive, online behemoths. Highly recommended!
Awesome music store! The people who work there are friendly and knowledgeable and thank you Don for restricting my classical guitar! You guys Rock!
Gave me incredible advice on a PA system, had the entire line up of products for me to choose from and the unit I picked was on sale for a great discount. In addition, I now have a discount for another future purchase and I will definitely be spending my money at Jensen again.
These folks are fantastic, excellent customer service, friendly, and great for providing information, nice gear selection.
Nice selection but not very good customer service. The cashier seemed more interested in planning his next ski trip than helping us out.Edit: I did not review the wrong place. We watched the cashier playing around with Google Maps on the store computer (maybe not skiing, but definitely not work). We spent about 15 minutes there and he never greeted or acknowledged us. We had much better experiences at Larrys and Guitars Etc.
Don, Sandy, Connor, Darren and everyone else down at Jensen are incredibly nice and helpful. They run a tight shift and no guitar is off limits. They have an incredible selection of new guitars from all quality levels and prices and have some awesome rare used gear.
It was my first time in here today and I was treated very kindly! Im new to playing but the guy behind the counter took the time to answer all my questions and explain things to me politely. Ill definitely be coming back.
Nice selection of gear & guitars. Ive been 100% satisfied with minor repairs, setups and guitar purchases. Don is knowledgable, competent and sincere. He makes Jensen Guitars stand out among nearby competitors.
These guys are awesome! Whether youve been playing for years or just thinking about starting they are a fantastic resource and give absolutely perfect customer service. Cant highly enough reccomend seeing these fine folks!
Awesome local guitar shop. Excellent selection of used gear too, fun stuff like pedals and microphones from time to time. The selection changes, so I like to check it out frequently. Staff is great, owner is great.
I would like to thank Don Jensen and his team for donating guitar strings to my Cuba Mission in March. Apparently, guitar strings are hard to come by and very expensive down there (especially when the average Cuban makes less then $40 a week) Lets keep those great Cuban Musicians playing the good stuff! Check out Jensen Guitars, Main St. Longmont, they care!
Welcoming environment, helpful staff, and a fantastic selection of new, used, and handmade instruments. Really enjoyed my visit and cant wait to come back!
Fantastic service and knowledge staff!
I always love coming in to Jensens. They carry unique brands of guitars and have used items for great prices. They also set up the guitars very well and have great consumer service.
A beloved music store and luthier among the local musicians here. Don’t expect same-day service as Don’s work is in high demand. He is very knowledgeable and loves to share what he knows with his customers. Great selection of gear and accessories, great lesson programs, and has sponsored some awesome workshops as well.
Great selection of guitars. Very welcoming. I took my guitar in for a quick fix and they were very prompt. Connor fixed it in twenty minutes and was very professional.
Very helpful, had a beautiful mandolin at a great price, plus plenty of case and pick options. The store is beautiful, cozy, and worth going in just to look! I so appreciate the great service!
I have not been in town long, and when I asked around about the best music shop, almost everyone recommended that I go to Jensen Guitars. So I listened and when I walked in, I was greeted within seconds and asked if I needed help. (Good start) I asked about a product and the gentleman who was helping me pulled out every different brand of that product and explained to me the difference and the pros and cons. He was also able to give me an answer or suggestion for every question I had. Plus when I checked out, he extended a new customer 10% discount to me. The prices are a little higher than other music stores, but I will continue to spend with Jensen Guitars. You cant replace the one on one time and attention to detail the employee who helped me showed me. This shop also seems to be more plugged in to the local artists, musicians, and bands.
I walked into this store today for the first time, didnt even realize it was there before (I havent lived in longmont for almost 10 years but I visit family there frequently) so I thought Id check it out. I came through the door to what seemed like the owner of the shop having a conversation with one of his employees. They initially acknowledge me and quickly said hello before going back to a heated conversation about what seemed to be the employees incompetence. This is a very small store, so I was inevitably able to hear the entire conversation whether it was of interest to me or not. I picked up a few guitars, played one or two, and I made a full circle around the store checking out the inventory before I walked out unnoticed after 10 minutes or so. Not once was I spoken to, but I was able to gain some insight about the employee and his peremptory store owner. It appears there had been a customer service issue and the employee was unable to accomplish something for a customer due to his lack of knowledge and confidence with the point of sale system. The manager then proceeded to train his employee as he made several comments about the store computer being nothing like his at home and that he didnt understand the system. As a retail manager myself, I have an above average understanding (at the very least) of what good customer service in a properly managed business should look like. Im writing this review less in distaste at the fact that I was not engaged by either of you in your store, but because I am a supporter of local businesses and I enjoy seeing them thrive in my hometown. Employees should be coached away from the vicinity of customers, and EVERY customer should be greeted and engaged if you expect your business to succeed. I didnt need to hear your conversation, but I did, and my advice for you would be to let that particular employee go - he is old and unable to adapt to the point of sale system you have in place, and he doesnt seem to have a basic instinct for customer service.
Jensen Guitar Shop is phenomenal! Great selection of new and pre-owned equipment and instruments, rental program, lessons, repair, etc. Recently, Don Jensen had the opportunity to prove once again why my son frequents this shop. Don went out of his way to take care of my son when he certainly didnt have to. I let my teenager handle the transaction from start to finish and Don not only was courteous, he went above and beyond to make sure that everything was understood without any stress whatsoever. As for repairs, Don and Darrin are both superb in fixing any instrument issue we have had. I really appreciate everything that they have done! Highly recommend (Stay out of Guitars Etc, they are terrible!!!).
They have more than just guitars they also sell wind instruments and string instruments
Great selection of instruments, amps & cabinets, friendly & knowledgeable staff. Highly competitive pricing! Repair & tuning services offered for just about everything. There are other music stores around, but youd do well to start here first!
Took my guitar in, and they dropped what they were doing to pay attention to me and fix it❤️
I cant get over how kind, honest, and good the people were here. They have earned a loyal customer. Conner and samantha!!!!
Sam Marvin is the BEST, and a GREAT guitar teacher too! He gave me a good deal on a condenser mic and speaker too.
Great personalized service. Took the time to properly prepare and tune the instruments for immediate use. Highly recommend.
This little guitar shop is wonderful. The owners and staff are immensely knowledgeable, helpful and always welcoming. Jensen also offers lessons for adults and children who are wanting to learn guitar, ukulele, etc.
Ive gotten several guitars and mandolins from here and they are always super helpful. I really appreciated when my girlfriend went in to get her first ukelele they helped a ton and were super patient and friendly.
Great store, with a great selection, and staff that is extremely helpful. They have odd-ball strings for things as well! It’s a must for any guitar enthusiast.
My absolute favorite music shop in Longmont. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent knowledge and services on tap.I make it a point to stop in whenever I pass by.
These guys are great. No big guitar store attitudes. Friendly, communicative and their repair guy, Darren, is excellent
Re-strung my guitar. They are always great. I have bought multiple instruments here.
Best place in town for sure. Jensens always has a good amount of very reasonably priced and worth while instruments. Great customer service too.
Most helpful and had more stuff than we had money for! If they dont have it, theyll order it for you...
Friendly and knowledgable people who seem to work very hard to make sure that when you leave you are 100% satisfied. Its the only music store I go to.
Fantastic store and employees. Super helpful and give back to the community with their donation program. Couldnt recommend higher!
An awesome store with an owner who has decades of experience. Best repair shop in Colorado.
Don is one of the nicest and most knowledgeable person Ive ever met.
Dons been my go-to guitar tech for 4+ years now. Being a semi-pro picker who has built and modified my own guitars for decades, when I need a PRO to work on one of my babies, Don is my absolute first choice. Every guitar hes worked on for me has become a part of my never sell! collection, and sees use at a lot of shows that I have played. The #1 shop in Longmont as far as Im concerned!
Great place if you are looking for a cheap jangly Chinese made guitar. Spend a few minutes with the owner so he can brag about his skills and insult your intelligence!
They didnt communicate with me and made me wait a month for a simple violin repair. The repair also wasnt done well and had to be brought back days later to have bridge fixed again. Days later it only broke yet again......
Friendly staff and excellent service.
My sweetheart and I are new to Longmont. She is a artist and I am a musician so naturally we fell in love with the area.Ive got to know quite a few local musicians here from open mics etc..and when talking guitars which is what we do😁 more than once Jensens came up. So I popped in and I love this little store.Whenever I walk into the store I am always greeted and feel at home. I never have to ask to check out an instrument.Even when they are busy they find time to help me or answer a question. I just dropped off my brand new American strat for a setup thats how much I trust the service here. When your peers recommend a place I listen
This is a cool music shop. They have an excellent selection of American flutes that sound great but look tacky and are a bit over priced. Most wooden American flutes go for $200 and under. Theirs are $250-$350.
Don did excellent professional luthier work on my old Ovation and made it play substantially better, for a reasonable price. I would not hesitate to recommend him.
Top notch customer service from people who really know what theyre about. You could be a full time professional, a weekend warrior, or have never held an instrument in your life; The guys at Jensen can set you up with something thatll really work for you.
Very helpful staff! Willing to let us test things, gave recommendations, very nice people! Our go-to guitar store!
Super nice, helpful, and great selection of ukuleles
Staff was friendly and fast! He replaced a tuning knob, put on new guitar strings and tuned it for me.
Very knowledgeable about everything musical. 😘
We love this place. Kids do lessons here and the teachers are great. Friendly staff.
There is a great respect to new customers.
Great work on my Chapman ML-1 Modern!
Took my cracked guitar in for repair. Was quoted a week and about 200$. Repair took about 3 days and came in about 50$ under estimate.
Egotistical manager with a vindictive streak. No idea what these people are doing in the customer service industry. In the era of internet shopping you would think they would be more friendly.Nope.Stay away.
I came in to the Jensen Guitars store last summer vacation, just to pass the time of day. I found myself fully engaged with a bevy of acoustic beauties from the wall. I learned a ton of information about the Blueridge line from the store owner. Very gracious and helpful guy. Why am I writing a review several months later? Because there is a serious lack of good customer service in instrument shops, particularly in my area (Sacramento). You wouldnt believe the incompetence of staff around here. Jensen was uber-helpful and got me stoked about playing guitar again. So, frankly, Id rather buy one from him (1,100 miles away) than one from the snobs down my street. Go Jensen Guitars!
They repaired my broken guitar string on the spot right in front of me. They only charged me for the string. Cost me $1.50 ($1.62 with tax)
Helen is an excellent and kind voice coach!
I like the guitar selection
Great place with great people.
Super friendly staff!
We absolutely love this place!
