I’m not one to write reviews, certainly not negative reviews, but I just had a very weird interaction with the cashier who works here that I felt compelled to share.I’ve been to Ulta maybe twice in my life and have no interest in opening up an account. I only purchased a few items, a curling iron and some odds and ends.The girl behind the counter copped a major attitude when I refused to give her my phone number. She kept insisting I open an account and despite politely telling her no she wouldn’t drop it and acted really put out that I wouldn’t give her the information she was demanding. She then lied and said that I’d be unable to make a return if I didn’t have an account, which is just really weird? Who goes that hard for the store they work for that they’d lie to a customer about the corporate return policy.I was honestly shocked by her persistence and how rude she was as she put my items into the bag. I tried to get an email receipt and she was like “cant do it without an account” as she threw the paper receipt in the bag. No “thank you” or “have a nice day”, just an “I’d really look into opening an account” as I walked away.This interaction bothered me, so when I got home I looked up the return policy and lo and behold, it isn’t contingent upon opening an Ulta account. So I called back to clarify that the Ulta website clearly states that any purchase returned within 60 days receive a full refund when presented with a receipt. The girl sounded super flustered, didn’t really give me a good response then hung up on me. Solid customer service. 0/10. Not that I was a frequent flier here but you can find better deals online and I’ll pass on the overt hostility next time I need some bobby pins.Edit: I forgot to add! The weirdest part! When I refused to give her my number she wanted me to give her one of my friends numbers? So so odd. I reckon they’re thirsty for personal data. I’d be very very cautious signing up for an account here.this occurred on 9/8.

Big inventory, sparse, aloof young staff..i found a hairstylist coming back from break and she was very helpful, kind and informative. She was the reason I spent money on products. Plenty of parking, quick checkout.
I purchased a bottle of hair spray under the mistaken notion that it was hair mousse. When I went to the counter to pay for it I was asked for “a good phone number “. Well I really don’t think I need to give my phone number to every place of business that I shop at so I declined. I paid in cash, got my receipt and left.When I realized my mistake that I had not gotten hair mousse, I went back to the store several days later to return it. The item was unused and I had my receipt. I didn’t expect the hassle I received! First I was told that since I didn’t have an “account “ with them I would have to take the lowest price that this item has ever sold for in their store. I had paid $16.00 and they offered me $3.50. But I have the receipt! I said. You can see I spent $16 plus tax on it just a few days ago. The sales associate insisted that I had to have given them my personal information at purchase time in order to be able to return an item for the price paid! I said I don’t think that is legal and I don’t see anywhere on your signage around the store that states that. At that point she amazingly was able to give me my full refund.I would caution anyone considering doing business with this company. When a company is this insistent on getting your name and phone number they must have a strong motivation. They “supposedly “ don’t sell your personal information but there are easy ways companies make money “sharing “ with their “partners “ your information. Plus I doubt that they spend a whole lot on data security. Many companies get hacked and rarely are you the customer notified. I would suggest that if you absolutely need to shop at Ulta, that you use a fake name and phone number.

Finally, a friendly employee. She was awesome her cotton candy hair just added to her personality. Best experience to date. I will say the floor employees are always looking at you shopping as if you are going to steal. I was happy with this clerk!! Weve even heard employees being rude or ignoring our obvious need for assistance. Gave me hope one employee can make a difference!!!

I live very close to this store and go to this one often. I was just in the store this past Saturday. I just left the store not to long ago today and it was the worst experience I ever had. I was browsing the store for heat protector and a new hair. brush. A woman with longer brown hair followed me around the store. I’m not sure if she was the manager or not but she followed me and I could hear her following me because she was wearing heals. Each isle I went down she would walk by and go to the next isle to keep her eye on me. When I got toward the front of the store she offered to give me a basket and I told her I didn’t need one as I only had two items in my hand. Looking at other reviews it looks like this is an issue with certain employees at your store. I have never been profiled and followed in my life like I was going to steal something. I’ll now be going out of my way to another store because this is uncalled for and embarrassing.
Burlynn is hands down the best hair stylist there. I highly recommend her! Especially if you have thick hair, she knows what to do. 10/10
OK, so I walked in an immediately was greeted and was able to get assistance immediately but they didnt vulture around and try to make me buy things I didnt need. I ended up getting assistance from the beautiful and amazing Saymone. I have never had a bad experience here and Ive been coming for years!!
Offers curbside pickup, all employees and customers were wearing masks and social distancing. They did still offer to help find what I was looking for as soon as I walked in the door which was nice. The line was fairly short with spots on the floor showing where to stand. The selection was really good especially given that many places are low on stock.
Worst customers service sherry manager supposedly would not help me with a return when on the back of the receipt it stayed you only need receipt. She wanted me to create and account for points which I did not want. First time buying on this store definitely the last one. Even the young lady at the front was scare of her and suggested to come back when another manger would be there.

This in regards to the online website. Shipping and customer service AWFUL! Paid extra money to have quicker shipping only to have my order shipped in regular business time frame. Asked for a refund was told after review they felt it wasn’t warranted. Second time I have paid for extra shipping and order didn’t arrive on time. Will no longer order from ulta.

Tell your employees to stop following people of color around your store. I barely got to an aisle browsing shampoos today & right away, an employee stood by until I walked to the register, then she followed me again. This isn’t the first time this has happened, which is why I rarely go to this store. And, tell your cashiers to stop standing around talking while people are waiting to be checked out. Your store is unprofessional, do better.
Make sure when the cashier offers you to sign up for the “loyalty” program they explain it’s an actual credit card you’d have to use monthly! My score went down because of it. I was never told it was running like a credit card. I even asked and was told no ! Very upset

I have really long hair and because of that I hardly ever get my hair done. In the past, every time I go to get my hair done, I warn the stylist that I have very long hair and I am given an estimate that is always about half of what they end up charging me. Because I am never certain of the actual cost I just dont get it done but every few years. Its so nice to go to a place and know from the start what youll end up paying . I went there yesterday and had my hair cut and highlighted by Priscilla. She did an amazing job and I am so happy with the results. I will definitely go back again.

Don’t order anything for pick up because they won’t give you a heads up if it’s out of stock. I just wasted my time and gas going all the way there for skin care and I got attitude from an employee who said “we actually don’t even have that.” The right thing to do would’ve been to call the number I provided them, but they have their heads shoved so far up their a** they don’t know how to provide helpful customer service.
Online reservation doesnt work, confirmation code while creating the account isnt linked. You have to call to book. Also arriving to my scheduled appointment, can hear the conversation regarding a disconnect between the system And calling in to book with two other clients that same day.... then waiting for my turn to be politely cancelled due to under allocating time frames on an appointment before mine. You would think you would give the courtesy of a cancellation text so people would not arrive only to be told otherwise upon arrival. Im sure the service may be good, just be cautious if you are booking online and who you speak to at the store to schedule an appointment.
Paid 320 for balayage + cut etc. looked like something I did when when I was 13. Too bad cuz I use to get what I paid for. Now, it’s 1/2 a** at best. There are other salons that are worth it. This place could care less if they lose clients.

I don’t shop here, but my wife and daughter loves this place. I spend the time in the truck listening to a podcast about hiking while I am waiting. I know that they enjoy coming here because they will come out with bags of stuff. I don’t know what, but they seem happy. Oh and if she’s happy I am happy.
The staff was not only rude but had no knowledge of basic hair care products. After the lady at the front of the store was clueless as to what hair toner is and couldnt even point me in the direction of the hair products, she then followed my friend and I around the store acting like we were going to steal something. When my friend asked her about a certain product, she then interrupted my friend and didnt even know if the product was sold at that store and wouldnt help her look for it either. Overall, very disappointing experience. I would assume that to work at am establishment such as ULTA, knowledge of basic hair products or even of the inventory would be required. Or at least good people skills and basic customer service.
The staff is so helpful and knowledgeable about their products. i was told that what i was using at home wasn’t the best for my dry skin, and i was a little skeptical at first but they took the time to explain things to me and it made much more sense. most of the time when i go to an ulta location, i feel very rushed and pressured into buying things when i ask questions, but it really really felt that they were caring for my needs and actually recommending things that would help. my skin feels amazing even after a week of using what the recommended. i have NEVER seen anything work this fast! the facial i had was also amazing!! Peggy did an awesome job and she made me feel so much better about my skin after! so relaxing!! i will definitely be coming back, the staff was AMAZING to me. thank you so much!!!!!❤️❤️❤️
The girls are nice once you get them to actually help you. I stood and looked in 3 different isles for a foundation for over 20 min one day going back and forth trying testers on my hand. Associates walking past me multiple times. Not 1 asked if I needed help or said hi or anything. After I got help they were very nice and super helpful.

I went here to get my wedding makeup and hair done. The person that I scheduled who was the best makeup artist did not show up and a hairstylist had to do my makeup. My makeup was so bad and I did not feel like a bride on my wedding day. My hair was really pretty for an hour until the curls fell out. I spend $150 on hair and makeup and I will never go here again! I wanted to feel beautiful on my wedding day, but I did not. Invest your money in a real makeup artist even if it cost $500...its worth it to look great on your wedding day (youll have those pictures forever).
Great store, employees are very helpful. Although they need to watch people more carefully. I watched a lady who didnt think anyone was paying attention pocket a bunch of urban decay, so I went up to her and said are you paying for those? She turned bright red and acted dumbfounded lol told her to put it back or Id call an employee over. She put it back and continued to cuss me out in Spanish lol
The only couple bad things that were bad about this place is that they didn’t dye my hair all the way when I wanted platinum. Also, I don’t know why the reviews are so good on the makeup part. I’d like to say my makeup was alright but it wasn’t fully put together because the staff were in a rush. I’m not sure why? It also made me mad when I asked for one of the ladies to do my eyeliner and they told me they don’t do eyeliner. I feel like I could work here even though I’m not a professional at makeup. The worker seemed like she had little experience on makeup but she was alright. I’d like to say the shops pretty good but not really the salon
Not terribly happy with this place. I went to go pick up my first KKW bronzer for Mothers Day and you had to order online or if the page kept crashing which mine did you got nothing but a number to call. If ask the woman on the phone what kind of KKW brozers you sale she wants exact product name and product number like I would know his its my first time buying. It was to much trouble and left frustrated.

The store itself seems “ok”. The cashier was flippant and insistent about why I needed to join with all my information that I ... I choose who & where I share with/at. Said if I needed to make a return that I couldn’t without being a member. So I left without making a purchase. Obviously they won’t go broke because I don’t shop there but... I will tell all my friends & anyone I come across NOT to shop there. Since they can’t treat their customers with respect!Besides the fact... everything they sell can be found much cheaper elsewhere. If you love makeup this is the place to go. The staff is always so friendly and knowledgeable. Plus unlike other places there is more then just a couple working so you dont have to search or wait for someone to help you. The sales at Ulta are the best!! Cannot wait until they are all selling Morphie in store!!
Went to this store twice. The 1st time I could not find anyone to help me. This time I asked an employee where to find a product and she said she didnt know and did not offer to find out. Training? Undoubtedly this business will blame Amazon for putting them out of business, but they are doing it to themselves. The one thing an in store experience should provide is help.

I gave two stars because staff is nice. This ulta location is consecutively out of the products I buy everytime I come here. Ive come here 4 or 5 times for them to be out of my favorite eyeliner and mascara. If a product is THAT popular maybe you should order more every week so customers dont leave unhappy and go elsewhere.

AMAZING PEOPLE! Ive been going to this store for a couple years now. One associate here helped me truly find the best, cheapest shampoo & conditioner for my hair. Another, Heather, who is was in from Tarte, WAS WONDERFUL! She is great and knowledgeable and taught me a lot. Then there was Joe!!! I cannot rave about him enough! Salon is great, too!
I am updating my review from three stars to one. I expressed my frustration below with Alta and the fact that the coupons that they send you are never applicable to anything. They have now increased the exclusions from those coupons. They expect you to spend $20 or $40 on over priced counter make up like cover girl or Maybelline. These coupons are completely pointless.I get most of my makeup here. I have gotten good service from the retail workers as well as the hairstylists, though they have never actually styled/cut my hair. One thing that bugs me is they offer coupons that never work or are ever valid unless you only buy the non-prestige items... guess what... 90% of what they sell is labeled prestige. The non-prestige item like revlon or loreal, when used with the coupon they cost about what they would at walmart, still sadly sometimes more..
Theres nothing bad here only all wonderful shopping experience... they help you with everything

I have shopped this Ulta since they opened several years ago. I am always greeted 😊when I enter this srore. I always get product 💄💅questions answered. Yay Ulta staff!(3-16-19) It was a very busy Saturday yet Mackenzie was attentive to the customer before me, helping them find a product. When she turned her attention to me, she gave me the same great customer service 🙂
The staff Ive interacted with are helpful. This location used to offer really decent, convenient facial services but now they dont. Definitely a disappointment.
This Ulta is consistently out of stock of at least one if not several items that Im looking for every single time I go. Half the cashiers act like helping customers is an inconvenience. Disappointing.Update 1/26/17- they were out of stock of my shade of foundation yet again yesterday, they told me they get their product shipment in on Friday mornings so I called this morning to ask them to set it aside for me and the lady I spoke with said she would certainly do that for me, then told me to have a good day- uh, she didnt even ask my name?? I told her what my name was and what time I would be here and... can you guys guess what happened?? She did not set it aside for me. I hate this place. I will try to shop online as much as possible from here on out because the good Ulta store in superior is too far for me.
So I exchanged an item that was $36 for an item that was $36.... was charged 32 cents because of a tax difference not a huge deal at all except for that I didnt have any change... im not upset about the price difference but as far as customer service adjusting the price 32 cents would have gone a long way but she wouldnt budge and it was really annoying. I will shop at the loveland branch from now on. No customer service and in Loveland there is someone to help me almost immediately if i need it! No one ever to be found in Longmont!
I appreciated the staff in this store. The AC was broken so it was pretty awful inside, especially for ladies having to do hair & makeup for customers. I can imagine how that can affect someone’s tips so I hope corporate is resolving this issue for them! Several girls took the initiate to approach me & help but not make me feel harassed constantly which is important for me. I don’t like to be bothered so a good balance & tech to communicating with customers is appreciated! I spent $360 this day on various products but again, I can’t thank the tattooed girls in the hair department enough who took the time to read ingredients & help me narrow down a product that would meet my expectations! Very friendly and sweet group of girls at this location! Thank you!!!!

Sales staff uninterested in helping. What they carry is inconsistent - find something you like and buy it, but it wont be there next time. Discounts inconsistent, and today they overcharged me - didnt apologize or recognize that they did until I pointed it out, then I had to wait while they corrected their mistake.
Line is always incredibly long and they only have one employee working the register (I come here once a month for two years, so this is not an isolated incident). Its faster to drive to the Ulta in Superior.
Recently, my entire make up bag was stolen. I went to the Ulta here in Longmont as soon as I could. Three ladies, Bri, Janelle, and Megan ALL were fantastic. I was super bummed walking in and they helped me find the products I needed in addition to walking around with me for an hour helping me find a new and improved version of my old make up bag and products. I had to return a few things the next evening and Brian took great care of me again. I loved how great my experience here was especially when I really needed their help.
The friendliness of the staff is really hit or miss. The person that waits on you is either so nice you want to tip them or so rude you NEVER want to come back again. Sadly, I keep coming back (sometimes for more abuse) because of their good selection.
The staff here is awful. I have had a few bad experiences here and this past week was the last straw. I booked a hair appointment, showed up and the salon manager (Donna?) said I was scheduled for the following week by accident. She didnt try to make it right all she said was come back another time. She was so rude. Further Im constantly treated like a second class citizen here. No one offers to help me. I have been a loyal Ulta costumer for YEARS. I will no longer give this company my business because of this store.

DO NOT GET YOUR HAIRCUT HERE! Very disappointed with the Ulta management team. I went in for a simple bang trim recently - the girl who cut my hair- seemed to have absolutely no experience. She took 1 giant whack at my bangs - she didnt even separate the hair that was going to be cut, just went for it. Didnt take a comb to my hair either. I was horrified. She took 1 cut, then apologized for it being too short. I left with crooked, blunt, and jagged bangs. After that I called 2 times to speak to manager - I was requesting a refund as I had to go elsewhere to fix the damage. Both times I was told that a regional manger would need to be contacted. Both times I never heard back. Left me wondering how long it takes for a store manager to contact their regional manager. Apparently, over 2 months. Ladies, dont go here for a haircut. It may seem quick and convenient but it is not worth the hassle. If they cant handle my $10 request to fix something they f**ked up - then how can they possibly handle larger, more complex issues. Their lack of consideration speaks volumes.
I can walk around clearly lost and trying to find things and noone will help me, especially if im not wearing makeup or looking nice. I watch them pass me and go help the older women who look like they have money. Recently went in for a lip plumper, took 15 minutes for someone to ask if I needed help when there were several people working. Asked for clear and she tried to sell me on a tinted one saying itll looks clear after applying when it was clearly black/purple. Then was passed off to two people at once who wouldnt stop chatting about their favorites to each other ignoring me and finally showed me one I thought would be good but it was JUST a clear 20$ lip gloss not plumper so I had to go back and return it. I never get good help from ulta,its like they are there to chat with coworkers not help.
I love ulta . I am a big makeup lover and I get excited every time I go . BUT the people who work there are so disrespectful and discriminating most of all!!! This place is just racial thats all Im going to say.
Big selection. Wish they had more TRAINED staff helping pick out colors. That is the most important thing in this type of store. Always long lines at checkout. But they seem to get you out fast.

Can never find someone to help you find/look for a product and when you do they are in such a bad mood. Called to check on product inventory and was put on hold for 6 min and got hung up on.. Called back and was put on hold no questions asked. Got hung up on again after 6-7 min. Called back again and Danita who answered all 3 times said shes got a line of a whole billion people and to hold on? Really?? Then explain what the microphones you guys have are for?? Cant you holler at someone else to help you out or are you the only one running the store? Ridiculous. Called on a Monday night. Didnt bother calling again. Wanted to save a trip to the store but ended up wasting even more time by calling

Not friendly. An item I was holding had a security tag and it randomly went off while I was shopping. I was looked at and treated like I was being dishonest. Their security member was eying me while I was checking out. Not once was I asked if I needed assistance and was offered no greeting. When I finally got to the register, my beeping item wasnt addressed with charisma but with contempt. I will not be going here again.
Front desk was nice but very unwilling to help. I asked to have my summer color matched, the employee put next to zero effort into the decision. Store was out of multiple products and had lots of it in the wrong sections.

Jenn at the Clinique counter! She was extremely helpful, she helped me get all the things I needed for my skin type, she gave me samples to try out, and she took my name and number to follow up. Shes super professional and passionate about what she does. I never ask for help at this Ulta because everyone seems to hate their job, so I was a bit hesitant, but she immediately made me feel comfortable. (The 5 stars are only for Jenn at the Clinique Counter) Thanks!

All the staff are always super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. They are always willing to answer every question I have without seeming uninterested or in a hurry. I shop here often and will continue to do so.

Bad customer service called to hold an item and said it wasnt in storage went in the next day and another employee said they just sold out that morning from their shipment the day before. Not sure what the problem is but if they dont want to help people then maybe they are at the wrong job.
Geez, Im glad a never got into wearing makeup, some of this stuff is ridiculously expensive. I go here to get gifts for my girlfriend. The store looks nice and the employees are friendly and helpful, but they could have a better organization structure.
