Good store. Kind of isolated from other retail shopping stores. It is good and bad in this case. The store feels kind of boring because it is isolated from other retail stores. The way it is situated, it makes it hard to get to. However, the staff is friendly and they have good products at very reasonable prices! Selection is pretty limited however.

Showed up 10 minutes before closing time, was going to come back the next day. Staff saw me looking at store hours and came out to invite us in. Never had that happen before. The staff was eager to help and didnt act like we were a burden. Good couple of youngsters, polite and helpful.

These were awesome! Came in looking for gym equipment and left very satisfied. Not only were they helpful but they discounted items as I am a first responder and observed without being told. They helped load the equipment into my pickup and asked me to call if I needed any assistance in the future. Great service here.

Breyden was happy to greet my boyfriend and I and pointed us directly to the hiking boots. We always leave with more than we come for because the DEALS ROCK!! 2 pairs of hiking boots, wind breaker jacket, and an 18 pack Cooler later we couldnt be more happy!

Good prices, friendly, helpful staff. I shopped all over town and came back to Big 5 and bought a new gun case. I have purchased Serengeti sunglasses at Big 5 and been very happy with them, so much so that I came back and bought a second pair. I recently was looking for a small lawn chair to take to a concert. Big 5 had the best selection and prices of the five stores I checked.

Aaron is great elliot is not so great. Cant put information into system correctly for firearm purchases stay away from this store.

Excellent customer service! The staff went out of their way to get me the hiking boots I wanted. They didnt have them in stock, so they contacted another Big 5 store in the area and had them sent over to my local store. Also, the staff is always professional yet personable. On top of that, the prices are great. I really recommend the Longmont Big 5.

This place has its charms even if it doesnt have the best selection on every sporting good. Great deals on shoes and sometimes you can find the occasional Kayak for cheap.

Saturday at about 1:30 we went to buy shoes for 4 people but after a flippant greeting and a finger pointing to the giant wall of shoes, three employees stood at the front talking instead of offering assistance. Prices here arent really lower than other places. Disappointing visit and a waste of our time.

Prices are okay, I always know what Im looking for when I go in, usually shoes. Issue is, the staff always follow me and breathe down my neck like Im trying to steal. Im just trying to find the shoe I like that fits right. I have brushed this off the other times Ive visited. This time though, I literally overheard the short haired (really short) lady clerk talking to another employee about watching me carefully because I am probably trying to steal stuff. I will be taking my business elsewhere from here on out. I will gladly pay the extra money to shop at a store with better selection and helpful staff that dont accuse you of stealing items with no reason to believe that. When checking out, that same lady wasnt very friendly and didnt seem happy about helping me PAY for the goods that I wanted. It almost seemed like she was hoping I would be stealing things from the store.

They very often have just what youre looking for, at the right price.

Pretty decent outdoor outfitter with good sales weekly. They do seem to have to brand items almost exclusively, but if youre willing to hide your time and watch for sales, this seems to me a good place to go.

Customer service is terrible I was waiting for 10 long minutes waiting for help until I went to the front desk to ask for help. The cashier was so rude she didnt even say thanks or have a good day when I say that to her she didnt even respond when I said that for a second time. Thats the worst experience.

Prices are okay-to-good. Selection is limited. They carry lots of traditional sporting goods, but not much in the way of hiking, climbing, or snowsports.

Horrible customer service! Asked the lady working their for a pair of shoes in a size she grab the shoe out of my hand and rolled her eyes. Then I asked for a different size, she said the shoe doesn’t come in 7.5 so I called a different Big 5 and they had it! I will never go back to that store!

The staff was real helpful getting whatever we needed when they had the size. They only had two options for womens baseball metal cleats. That stinks.

Make sure you price shop sometimes you think its a deal and Walmart has it for $20 cheaper. NOT that theres no deals to be had just check. Love their pocket knives they always got a good deal on a Kershaw and crkt and a couple other off brands. But love a good beater of a knife for $20. Also other deals grabbed up some goggles for my kids for $12 total and the rubber around the face wasnt hard like cheap pairs usually are. Got my summer sleeping bags here they are okay. Great deals on shoes as well but mainly adult sizes and few kids sizes.

This is a review edit from 5 stars to 1. I came in to buy a pair of shoes. 4 people working and all of them are standing by the register. The lady who helped me in the shoe department had to go be found, despite the fact that I was the only customer. She seemed really put out that she had to help me get shoes. After handing me a shoe box she went right back up to the front and started gabbing. The girl stood there talking to her coworkers and never once asked of I needed help. Shes a useless employee. I decided to buy the shoes on Amazon. They cost me $4 more, but $4 is not a lot of peace of mind. I was a customer here for years and now I am no longer. My advice...... pass on Big 5.
