Great store for ebikes with surprisingly good inventory considering pandemic shortages. Tom patiently explained the differe ces between models and let us test ride a couple of them as well which helped us make a decision.

Ive been researching Onewheel for a few months and didnt know they sold them here. The owners let me test ride the demo Onewheel and I was hooked. Had a good selection of accessories and matched bundle prices. Great experience!

Excellent experience with this group. The staff is friendly and helpful, they were more than accommodating with an exchange. Are they fast? No, but theyre good people that care about what they do.

I brought my e-bike battery in to see if they could repair a broken terminal. They popped open the battery and had it fixed in 15 minutes and for $30. He told me to test it and bring both the bike and the battery in if it didn’t work. When I got the battery home and in the bike, it worked perfectly! I was afraid I was going to have to buy a whole new battery so this saved a ton of money! I’ll definitely be back in the future!

Small Planet just completed a Bafang 1000 on my Fuji Mt Fuji carbon frame mountain bike and I’m very pleased with the results. These guys know what they are doing and do it well! Kept me updated with progress, they had some chain alignment issues which were solved with a different ring and the result is great. I would highly recommend this shop for converting to an e-ride.

They dont tell you all the add fees they are charging until your at the register confused. Just assume its okay to add on more money.. Customer service is terrible, I love my bike and want to support a local shop but I will go to another one up the street instead.

This place is extremely unprofessional I called them and asked if they could look at my Onewheel to see what was wrong with it they said “bring it in no problem we will take a look at it to see if we can fix it”. I brought it in the guy told me he would look at it and give me a call. A week went by with no response I went in to see what was going on and after waiting for the lady to get off the phone and as soon as she started talking to me she answered the phone again (this happened two more times) just to find out nobody had even looked at it just to even see if it could be fixed. In the end they wasted my time they lost two Onewheel sales (because we were going to buy 2 new ones). It does not take weeks to look at something to see if it could be fixed or not. I was also informed bikes had been sitting there for weeks I would suggest going anywhere else.

Horrible, horrible customer service experience with Tom. I called 4 days ago looking for an Aventon Sinch. He said he had one in stock but needed some time to put it together. He asked me for a few days. I said fine but learned the bike comes almost fully assembled. He showed no eagerness to sell me the bike. I then called back and said to please call me when it is ready and Ill come up to make the purchase. 4 days go by, I just called him and asked if I can come up and buy the bike. He told me to hold and then I overheard him talking to another associate. I could hear them say they had one on the floor but they had no idea if it was sold or not. I then heard the other associate say, tell him we dont have one. My whole week was wasted and I now dont have a bike for a trip Im leaving for today. Horrible, horrible customer service. Ill be calling Aventon to let them know this is the type of customer service that is representing their brand. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM SMALL PLANET BIKES.

Terrible service. Emailed for test ride appt online, never received response. Went to shop, first man too busy on computer to help us, second (older) man unable to locate a bike for me to test ride, walked away from us without a word and disappeared into the back. Waited for over five minutes for him to return or for anyone at all to help us but zero customer service. We stood in the middle of store completely ignored. Ended up walking out door, driving to Boulder and buying two ebikes there.

I have nothing but good things to say about this business. We made our first purchase from them in 2017 when we fell in love with our ebikes on a unconditional test ride. Nearly four years and 11,000 miles later we have received great service from Small Planet. Occasional software updates, mechanical service, parts shipped to us in various parts of the country; these people do it all.

Initially, went in to a bigger bicycle shop here in Aurora (who I wont name outright), to try to look at ebikes, their stock was minimal at best- and the staff try to direct you to the most expensive bikes when you walk in. After signing a consent, left a credit card and id at the front, I was allowed to take out one ebike out for a test ride. I was completely unimpressed by the whole experience at this other establishment and decided to drive up to Longmont to check out Small Planet ebikes. Small Planet ebikes has a great stock of bikes to choose from and the I thought Tom was a big help. Needless to say, I ended up purchasing a bike from Small Planet eBikes and would refer any of my friends there- A+. Thanks Tom!

Very poorly managed shop and service center. The owner, Tom, consistently lies to customers about when bikes will be ready. A bike dropped off on a Wednesday for Friday pickup is still not ready 8 days later, despite Tom promising and guaranteeing it would be ready on the 8th day at 12 PM. Guess what, not ready yet and no idea when it will be fixed. Unprofessional doesnt even begin to describe this place, worst bike shop in Boulder County.

Small Planet is a great shop. Ive bought one bike from them and had them assemble another bike for me. They really know what theyre doing and care about their customers. I went in to get a helmet for my son and they remembered who I was and asked about whether or not I was enjoying my bike (I really am). Highly recommended!

We wanted Aventon electric bikes and made the trip to Longmont to Small Planet eBikes. The team is knowledgeable and friendly. We took our bikes to Breckenridge and used the #5 speed to get up Ski Hill. We would have been walking our bikes up the hill if it werent for our eBikes! Just took them in yesterday for our FREE tune-up, and they helped a lot. Great team, and I tell my friends about them and our eBikes all the time!

Most incompetent bike shop I’ve ever worked with. The owner, Tom, is nice but doesn’t know anything about the bikes. They desperately need a knowledgeable sales person and an office manager. The store is a disorganized mess. He has you call Ed who was helpful in the beginning on the phone to select a model, but was rude in person (Hey remember we are the ones who bought that Bulls Xx? E: Congratulations. I don’t know what’s going on here I just take the bikes and repair them.) I did end up buying a bike because I couldn’t find the Bulls I wanted anywhere else. When I brought it in for its first service last week, they said it would be ready in three days. When I called to find out, Zach said he didn’t know what I was talking about. When I reminded him that I helped him fill out the slip, he said he didn’t see the bike and he was too busy to work on it. I said I could come and take it elsewhere, and he said that’d be good. The next day someone else from the shop called me and asked if I was sure I left it there, because they couldn’t find it! We went the next morning in a panic, thinking we’d have to report it stolen, but found Ed at the store who said it was at his house. So clearly a huge lack of communication among the staff. I finally picked it up a week after I had dropped it off. Walked in and told Tom I was taking my bike. He didn’t ask to see my slip and didn’t ask for my name. Anyone could have walked in and grabbed my bike.Finally, if you are concerned about your health, despite the most recent governor’s order, Tom neither wears a mask nor provides 6 ft distance.

Recently I bought an ebike online. The bike is awesome. However, after 120 miles, I was still experiencing metallic rubbing noises when I rode it. Zach quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem by swapping the factory Type A hydraulic brake pads with higher quality Type E ones that silenced the metal rubbing and decreased the grabbing. The manufacturer even reimbursed me after seeing the receipt and explanation of the fix. My ebike runs like a charm now. Because they specialize in ebikes and fixed on the first look an ongoing problem that others couldnt, theyre my new go-to for maintenance and other ebike needs. Much appreciated! Thanks.

I purchased a Motiv, it took a couple weeks to come in and then the controller was not good. Zach kept me informed and let me know what was going on with the bike. I picked it up today and so far so good. The upgraded tubes are on back order but will get them at my tune up. They were great when i bought the bike and the lady that helped me took her time, we went on a long ride to test it out and made a difference in my decision. I am a novice at riding and am excited to start riding a bike on a regular basis. Thank you for great service and a very cool bike.

My wife and I both just bought two Bulls eBikes at Small Planet E Bikes and could not be happier. I wanted the Como Specialized eBike but could not pass up the deal that Tom gave us on a new Bulls. Zach set everything up perfectly for us and was very helpful, even took the time to download the new software for my eBike which gives it more power. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff (Zach and Edward).After extensive research online, I found the E-Mtb I wanted (Bulls Evo E-stream FS 3 29er). I was glad to find a retailer in Colorado (Small Planet E Bikes), but not glad to see they were all the way up in Longmont. However, they agreed to deliver the bike to me all the way down in Denver! I also got the bike at a great price. This kind of customer service is unheard of in this day and age.I had an issue and Edward came all the way back to Denver to rectify the situation. Edward really went above and beyond making me a huge fan of this bike shop.They also will bring bikes to you for a free demo!

RAVE REVIEW AHEAD! Best customer service, best e-bike selection, most knowledgeable staff...you get the idea! I have been shopping for an e-bike for about 2 years and have left other shops in Fort Collins, Boulder and Denver frustrated and confused. I called Small Planet in January while I was out of the country and talked to them at length about what I was looking for. They suggested several brands and models for me to check out before I returned in April. I scheduled a test ride appointment with Zach (even though you can just walk in and they will enthusiastically help you!) and proceeded to have my mind blown by the patience, LISTENING and attention he showed me during the 3+ hours I tested bikes in their parking lot and around the neighborhood. After buying the perfect bike I have had at least 3 followup emails from Zach checking on things and answering some questions Id asked during the test ride that he wanted to more thoroughly research. I am rarely impressed by extraordinary customer service, but Zach and the Small Planet staff impressed the hell out of me! If you are shopping e-bikes dont waste time going anywhere else but Small Planet!

Excellent experience. I was going to mail order an Aventon Level Commuter bike, but decided to go out to Longmont and see these folks. I got it from these folks all setup and tuned for the same price. Both Tom and Zach were really helpful and informative. I definitely recommend these guys. Also just loving my ebike.

This shop has an awesome selection of E-Bikes, with a wide variety of motors from Bosch to Shimano and much more! Their staff is super knowledgeable and easy to work with. If you are in the market for an E-bike this place should be your first stop. Talk to Zach if hes available, he definitely knows his stuff, but Im betting you cant go wrong with anyone there.

They stole my $800 bike! Told me to drop it off for a battery replacement, to have a quote by end of day -- I had to call them every 3 days and eventually gave up. About a month later, I got a bunch of sketchy voicemails and emails! Small Planet tried to charge me over $100 for doing NOTHING! They even lied and said that this ebike (which had their chop shop sticker on it) was practically worthless despite being in great conditions! Never trust their quotes or words, I guarantee 90% of these reviews are fake! INSANE!SMALL PLANET IS LONGMONT TRASH

Giving 4 stars for very prompt service on a new bike I bought. The derailleur keeps skipping. They worked on it immediately and it seemed to work fine until I got about a quarter mile down the road and it got worse. They fixed it again and the same thing. Their willingness to take care of it is worth 5 but so far the ability to fix it is worth 2. I’ll bump this to 5 if it gets fixed next time I visit. Hope 3 is a charm.

This is the e-bike store that you have been looking for! The shop offers an impressive range of products, but it is the service that makes Small Planet such a great place to go. The team, particularly in the shop, is highly competent and very friendly. Once I decided to go car-free, they helped me convert my regular cargo bike to an e-bike, a process that was too daunting for me to do alone. Zach advised me on what motor to get and then made sure that everything went smoothly. It was an enjoyable process and I love my “new” bike! I highly recommend them.

My wife and I visited the Small Planet E Bikes store in Longmont, CO last weekend. I had been interested in bikes for a while and decided to check them out. We were helped by Sherri and Edward who helped us test ride several different bikes, including changing out saddles several times to determine the best fit for my wife. After spending about 3 hours test riding the bikes, we ended up buying two bikes. We would highly recommend this store and their great staff!!

Wanted a quote to replace three spokes on a bicycle, was told it would cost at least 150$. Ive worked on my own bicycles in the past, but no longer have the tools, so I thought Id give some business to my neighborhood bike shop. What a scam! I wont be back. Off to amazon to get a spoke wrench!

This was an awesome experience, Edward met us at the trailhead of our choice. Our ride was fantastic, the bikes are amazing machines that maximize the experience of mountain biking. Edward was incredibly knowledgeable and super helpful with showing us how to work the bikes properly and safely. Thoroughly recommended.

I have a Swagcycle that had a flat back tire. Small Planer E-Cycles got me in & was able to patch my inner tube. They were extremely helpful & made sure the patch was going to hold. I’d highly recommend them for your e-cycle repairs!

Ren and the whole team at Small Planet E Bikes are great. I used to like my commute; now I love it! They set me up with a mid-drive motor on my regular commuter bike. Everyone was friendly and they care about customer service. I highly recommend them!

I was looking at an electric mountain bike - a special style that required ordering direct, and I was concerned about size and whether I would like it once I got it. Their customer service is tremendous - they agreed to contact a customer of theirs who already had one and they brought it to my house to test on the trials and roads I ride regularly - NOW THAT is Customer Service! Very knowledgeable about variety of ebikes.

Went in to have repair help on a bike I had not purchased there. I was pleasantly surprised by their willingness to help and the skills they brought to bear in resolving my bicycle issue. I like these guys and will do a lot of business with them in the future. The price was modest and the repair was spot on.

I assembled a Prodeco Tech Phantom X3 last spring and took it in for service prior to this season. They did a great job with cleaning the chain, adjusting the brakes, and (my favorite) getting the gears in top-notch shape (I wasnt very skilled in the art when I originally assembled the bike). They also cleaned last seasons mud off and the charge for the seasonal tune-up was much lower than expected. Highly recommended.

I bought my first trike from them about 6 years ago...they replaced it under warranty with no fuss when the rear axle broke. When that bike was stolen outside the senior center no, I immediately bought a replacement from them. This is a terrific E-bike shop! Sherri and her crew are very attentive and accommodating. I had planned a long E-bike road trip and the bike technician, Zach, took me through all the steps of how to do an on-the-road repair of a rear flat on a Pedego and did a full safety check before my departure. It was a grueling trip and the hub burned out in Death Valley. On my return, this was immediately remediated on warranty and Gary, the other tech, set me up for final inspection; it feels like new! I highly recommend this bike shop for their enthusiasm and assistance!

I got to admit to being a bit surprised by their offer to let me perform the conversion to electric at the S.P.E.B. store for a small fee. Clearly they had just saved me a bunch of money I would have spent on a few new tools I might not put to use very often, By offering me the use of the shop and the use of the tools I need to properly install the BBSHD kit on to my bicycle, they made me feel like my ebike project was as important to them as it is for me. Not to mention, its a huge bonus if I happen to need any assistance, I will have a pit crew of ebike pros there to lend a hand or word of advice.Unless they open a shop closer to Loveland, I will continue to shop at this store for all my future ebike needs, and I would highly recommend you to go down and see them if you are in the market for a prebuilt or diy personal electric transportation solution or repair.

He brought his show van and after some short instruction we were off on a great ride. This is high standard of customer service has set the bar very high. First off if youre looking to get an EBike start at Small Planet. I started my hunt almost a year ago, and have done a lot of reading about E Bikes. I started demoing at multiple bike shops and different models, I tried bike source, Pedago, full cycle, and a shop in Denver. All good shops. E Planets I appreciated because they where able to answer all my questions, Pedego I would say dont go to (sorry had to slip that in, pedago was not a good experience) honest, and no pressure. Tom, in my opinion, really wanted to make sure I found the bike that was right for me. I greatly appreciate that. Also a day after I picked up my bike I got a flat tire, no fault to Stromer or E Planet, just a goat head. They fixed it and had me own the way the next day.I enjoy laid back down to earth folks that just enjoy what they do and truly have a passion.

Zac was AMAZING! My daughter and I fought forever to try and change the back tire on her bike, we needed rideable and safe by end of day.. When I called, Zac said to bring it right in, no wait :-)It turned out to be more than we all thought.. The valve was busted . The front brakes were bad... All that was fixed in just a few minutes. Then to top the service off, he took the bolt cutters to the combination lock as no one could remember the combination... Busted his glasses and cut his eye in the process:(I will recommend these guys to everyone

Very disappointed. Looking to buy ebike. Checked website today and it said OPEN. Drove to Longmont and CLOSED!!! Bad advertising.

This shop carries all of the top ebike brands including Pedego, iZip, Hebb and Stromer and has been in Longmont since 2009. The location is very convenient, right at 724 on Main Street, and there are several places to get food nearby if youre dropping your bike off for repairs. They are open 7 days a week from 10am to 5:30pm on Monday through Saturday and 12pm to 5pm Sundays. Note that they used to also have a shop in Fort Collins which closed, Ive been told they are planning to open another shop in Denver soon.
