I really like this bike shop. The people here really care about you. I bought a bike for my son and it was a little big for him, which I knew. I really appreciated how they went out of their way to make sure he was a good enough rider to overcome the larger size and then spent some time to ensure a better fit by making adjustments to the seat position and the handle bars.

I got a bike roughly 10 months ago to both get back into shape and save money commuting.Since it was a first purchase, I got something reasonably priced and fairly old.I’ve taken my little green machine to Longmont Velo several times, for tune ups, and they taught me how to change a flat.They’re super quick, helpful and friendly. Im looking forward to upgrading soon, and I’m definitely taking it to Velo.

I just purchased a road bike from my brother in law and needed it to be put together as I am new to road cycling. I brought everything to Longmont Velo and Paul said it would be no problem and gave me a great price. Since I got the bike back and started riding, the seat would keep going down and felt loose. I went back in, Paul remembered me and took care of the issue right away and made sure I was good before riding off. I highly recommend Long Mont Velo to anybody who is looking to purchase a bike/accessories or needs service. I will definitely be going back.

I come from a strong road biking background in WI, and I thought I knew about bikes until I bought a mountain bike on fb marketplace.These amazing people have been so helpful getting things setup, they recommended some spectacular tires right off the bat.A few weeks later and I already broke my crank set and they helped guide me through replacing it, they even had all the parts I needed in stock. I needed a bit more guidance than I care to admit and they were extremely patient and helpful the entire time.Make this your go-to local shop. You wont regret it.

Fastest turn around on a tune up EVER in Longmont. I grew up at Bike-n-Hike but Ive never had a tune up turned around in 24 hours. Granted they didnt need to order parts, but they said max is 5 days. Thats Amazing!

First off they were open on Sunday! I had a flat and arrived as the shop opened. 3 other customers were there and we were all handled with courtesy and skill. I have my new neighborhood bike shop!

What a great bike shop! I am a handcyclist, and Paul went out of his way to research and implement a shifting setup for me so that I can ride without pain. Paul and Anthony do excellent work, and really care about their customers.

Took bike in for a rear brake bleed. Got bike back with squishy rear brake lever. Mechanic said I just had to pump the brake to build pressure and that some brakes are just harder to bleed. Lost my money on this place. He even offered to add more fluid. Umm, that is the wrong answer. That is the only $25 this place will get from me.

Theres simply no equal to Longmont Velo. I have been to probably a dozen bike shops in the Boulder/Longmont area and Longmont Velo is a notch above. Many times fancy bikes come with an air of pretentiousness, but that is not the case at Longmont Velo. Whether your bringing in a 10k bike or a beater, they will help you out. I had a carbon bike project with a bunch of loose parts and several missing parts. Paul was able to track down the correct parts and get everything to fit like a glove. Not only did Paul and his crew deliver a beautiful finished product, but he did so at a great price. The quality of the work is amazing and Paul is super down to earth. I cant recommend this place enough, I wont go anywhere else for my bike needs going forward.

This place is amazing! I was in a hurry, leaving for a trip and I had my wife’s cannondale bike that needed some minor tweaking before the trip. I brought the bike in with minor questions and Paul the owner along with Maritzo totally helped me get the bike in shape. Went in to Long Mont Velo to have some minor adjustments done on my mountain bike. First of all, you wont find a nicer, honest and more trustworthy person than Paul. Paul has excellent knowledge of bikes, service is fast and prices are fair and reasonable. Paul wants you to be 100% satisfied and will make sure you leave happy. I now know where to take my bike when future issues arise and will return in the future. I would not hesitate to recommend to any of my friends.

Stopped into this shop for my first time to get my gears adjusted and a new chain put on. I got to meet Paul (the owner) and Eric (mechanic) who were humming away on other customers rides. Dont think people realize how many new cyclists are hitting the road because of the Covid19 crisis, but you could tell these guys were working hard to get everyones bikes back up and ready to rock. They were very friendly and answered all my questions, plus showed me a few new tricks which Im always appreciative of. You can tell they love bikes because they both had awesome road recommendations for my upcoming travels. Ill for sure be going back to them next time I need help.

In the days of disappearing customer service, this place is a nice surprise. Paul went out of his way to help when my son needed a rim at a good price and needed it done before a race. Paul and his staff are top notch and Ill go out of my way (and past another bike shop) to shop here and have these guys do my repairs.

Long Mont Velo is a friendly bike shop in the heart of Longmont. There are bike paths leading to the shop from all directions, and plenty of bicycle parking out front. The owner, Paul, was very helpful when I contacted him about ordering a Surly for commuting. He thoroughly measured me to ensure I ordered the right size, and when I fell between sizes, his experience was evident as he pointed out the pros/cons of going with the larger vs smaller frame size. After ordering the bike on a Sunday, I was able to pick it up that Wednesday! Im very happy with my purchase, and the assistance and expertise I received from Paul at Long Mont Velo.

Cant believe Long Mont Velo has been in Longmont for 3 years and I have never been there. Needed a new chain for my wifes bike and stopped in to check it out. Will never go to another bike shop as long as they are around. Eric and Paul are awesome.

He is totally able to take care of triathletes and Road Racers (maybe because he is one) but then can turn around and help out a local kid with a tricycle or work on an old 3 speed cruiser.He really goes beyond to do what is best for his customers.

This shop is awesome! Went in to see if if annoying shifts was a real problem. Paul explained issue, made an adjustment (BIG improvement) and simply said, Hey, no problem for the season - come back when youre ready for the full tune-up to make everything better.

Wanted to upgrade a cheap bike, he ordered metal pedals with screws sticking out of them, got grip on the entire stroke. super nice place to get work done

Longmont Velo is my go-to bike store now. They take good care of their customers. They are friendly *and* good--most shops are one or the other. Good to see they have started carrying Rocky Mountain bikes.Ive had them do several minor repairs, like truing a wheel, all the way to building a custom wheelset. They do a great job, and turnaround is great. That said, I save all my major projects for the WINTER, when they are not so busy.

This bike shop believes in and demonstrates extraordinary customer service. I am here from Bremerton, Washington to Ride the Rockies with a friend of mine who lives in Longmont. Owner Paul and his staff assisted me with my bike assembly and then with gear train adjustments. Paul found a problem with my bike frame that eluded my local shop back home, and I left Velo with a bike that shifted smoother and more accurately than ever before. Paul also resolved a problem my friend was having with his disc brakes. My friend said later that Paul will be his new bike tech, glad that he doesnt have to drive to Boulder again for his bike service needs. Thank you Paul! Went to this place with the intention to just get sized for a used bianchi bike I found online. Turns out the bike online was the completely wrong size (way too big) the guys at this store sized me for a small bianchi and gave me 30% off. I ended up buying a brand new bike and I absolutely love it. I am so thankful I found this shop, plus they threw in free pedals for me! go here!

No matter what you ride, a $4 Huffy or a $4000 road rasher, you get a respectable, competent crew that will give you what you need be it sales or service. Glad to have them in Longmont !

Unfortunately I busted my mavic hub (was hoping beyond hope just spoke broke)...I came in on Sunday and despite their being busy with weeks backlog (and probably annoyed by my have to have bike back for big ride next weekend attitude) looked at it right away to confirm worst. This is how all bike shops should be. You can grab a beer from the frig, sit on the couch and watch bike racing, or just hang out and talk bikes with the owner, Paul. This is a shop run by cyclists, for cyclists, but also a great local shop for anybody in the neighborhood needing supplies or repairs.

Called a few times to see if they were open per their advertised times on their website and call eventually went to voicemail, so I presumed they were just busy. Drove to their shop and, straight out of 1974, there was a piece of paper taped to their door saying they were closed for the day and that they had planned to be closed. Too bad they couldnt have included that nugget of info on their voicemail.

I race road, cross, and mountain and have been looking for a bike shop since moving to Longmont. Today, I dropped by Longmont Velo, and was extremely impressed. They handled my simple repair request on the spot, have a well stocked store, demonstrated great mechanical ability, and I enjoyed speaking with the owner about his business. With confidence, I can say I wont be driving down to Boulder for my cycling needs any longer, and Id encourage any serious rider in the Longmont area to consider bringing their business to Longmont Velo as well!
