As a recent transplant and previous store manager for a Rasputins location, this store has an impressive and diverse selection. Vinyl inventory is much larger and more interesting compared to the 5-6 other Colorado record stores Ive visited, with prices on-par with other stores selling similar quality vinyl (Paradise Found). The records I checked in store were all cleaned (record and sleeve) and VG to M condition.Yes, the prices are an order of magnitude higher than a bargain bin or garage sale, but are an accurate reflection of the current market. When it comes to rare, hard-to-find records, I am always willing to pay for quality and support any small business that affords one the opportunity to find such records. Saving money on Discogs today may put places like this out of business tomorrow, and Ill gladly pay for the experience of flipping wax instead of clicking mice.

I love buying musical records. Most stores only have two or three bins of “soundtracks.” This store has the largest selection of musicals I have ever seen!I was surprised to find Xanadu (not the $5,000 record), Peter Pan with Mary Martin, and so much more.I look forward to browsing the rest of the store soon!

This is by far one of my favorite stores for buying vinyls. Their collection is MASSIVE. The pictures of this store do not do it justice to just how many they have.Additionally the pricing complaints some others have clearly have only shopped at flea markets or bargain stores for vinyls and not actual dedicated vinyl stores.I am absolutely coming back here.

This adorable store has everything you need for your vinyl, cassette and CD needs. I love this store I felt like I was on a huge nostalgic trip. They even collect vinyl for children’s shows and radio shows!! This is a must go to for people who enjoy music. They do also cater to newer genres as well!! You gotta take time to come see this store even if you only like one type of music

This is a hard review for me to write because the store is incredible for the vast selection of rare vinyl. However the prices have to be some of the highest I have ever seen in any city. Now while some of these prices are fair for the rarity most of the records should not be worth that. Most vinyl in the store is $15 and up with nothing under it except for the “value bin.” However the staff is friendly and it’s a very clean place. If you have lots of money to burn this is the place.

Visited here not too long ago and the older women working here was unbelievably rude. I was showing my daughter one of the records and the lady started screaming that she isnt allowed to touch anything in the store. Not to mention most of the records I had looked at werent even in good enough condition to play. Very bad quality/ human decency. Highly recommend not buying from here.

Best Selection out of any record store Ive ever been to. A lot of people claim that the store is overpriced but Ive regularly found items 20-30 dollars under Ebay/Discogs/Amazon prices. Yes that vinyl you found on amazon is cheaper but its not the same press. I would 100% recommend Recycled Records LP.

We stopped in a few weeks ago and while they do have a great selection, everything is EXTREMELY over priced. Everything we were interested in was at least $15 more than other stores. We purchased a few that weve had a hard time finding at other stores. We were willing to pay more since we werent able to find them elsewhere. We got them home and most of them were in such bad condition that we cant even listen to them. One of the other very overpriced records we purchased didnt even have the correct album in the sleeve. I found the same record, with the correct album in sleeve at another store today for 1/3 of the price. we certainly learned our lesson shopping here. We will definitely not be back.

Never ever shop here if your looking for good quality records. I’ve tried multiple times to try and buy them this owner. Every time I end up mad and disappointed, I bought a Mac Miller vinyl and it came with cracks in the records and one of the records didn’t even play. I also bought a suicideboys one and on almost every single song it skips. She is selling overpriced records just them to be terrible quality. The owner is also always out of it. When they were off of Main Street I bought a CD and she told me CDs were a certain price then when I went up to pay she completely changed the price that she said before and said that I didn’t remember correctly. I wouldn’t recommend going there. Good selection but not good quality

Store has a very large selection of LPs new and used. You can find high quality turn tables cheeper then any other store or on line.

RR does a fantastic job cleaning old records. You will likely pay a bit of a premium but these items are held in better condition than your average record shop

Overpriced is an understatement, common albums for $8 minimum, more than likely $15, $20 or $25 for albums that would be under $10 anywhere else. Huge selection but they must go to Discogs and check what the highest price ever paid was and then add from there. New albums seem to be $30+. First time I have visited since their old location, never again, waste of time.

This place is awesome! Well organized and clean, and Gale was really friendly. She even tested out a record for me on the spot so that I could be sure of my purchase!

I came in to sell my records one day but the owner was out of town, so they had me leave them there with my name and number. I never received a call, so I later came in to see if they had a chance to look them over. Even before I could explain the problem the owner was very rude to me. She then claimed that there was nothing they could do. So basically my records were somewhere in the store, so they had essentially stolen them. She ended up giving me some cash, but was extremely rude throughout the entire ordeal, to the point where she (a grown woman) nearly made me (a kid) cry when I was the one that was wronged. Just bizarre.

Whether youre just getting into vinyl or youve been in the vinyl for years this is the place for you! friendly staff super helpful well-organized place! I just went for my first time the other day and spent maybe an hour gliding around on the chairs they provide you going through boxes of treasures

I am relatively new to vinyl but have visited a sufficient number of stores around the US to know that this place is special. They have the best selection of new and used vinyl records that I’ve seen, and the quality of their vinyl is superb. They also have a great selection of new and used audio equipment including turntables. The vinyl selection is crazy good; Gale uses her store space better than any other vinyl store Ive visited. Also, Gale and Elijah know their music and always give me great recommendations. Seriously, Longmont is lucky to have this store as I do believe it will start to draw people nationally. Finally, I agree with another reviewer, that this store has a great vibe. No matter when walk in, theyre playing something new and different. Will want to hang out here whenever I have some time, I find it spiritually uplifting!

This shop makes for a fun visit. Youll find a nicely curated large vinyl selection and they clean the vinyl with an inhouse ultrasonic cleaning machine before putting anything out for sale. The staff is always friendly and helpful and willing to chat with you. I see a lot of negative reviews which seem to be mostly about cost. This is a curated vinyl store, not a bargain basement kind of place and the prices are going to be higher for a place with curated vinyl. Just my 2 cents.

Gale was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We troubleshooted an old record player that was giving me trouble but realized the repairs were not worth it. Even so she gave me a good trade in price and sent me away with a fantastic new model.All of the vinyl was in superb condition, I would highly recommend stopping by!

I took my son here a couple of times and he loves it! The first visit he found a CD he wanted and it was only 6.00. The owner is a really sweet lady. The only reason I give the store 4 stars is its a bit overpriced but the cds are good priced. I will definitely return though.

Lady that runs this place, I think she said her name is Dale, is pretty chill and was willing to help me find some things. This place has a seriously impressive amount of media and it entices you to come back to see what obscure find you can get for your collection. I will say, 6 dollars a disc might be a bit high in todays era but still better than online full sale price. Would be cool if they did discount sales every once in a while or bulk sales. Still love it here, great vibe and would recommend 10/10! Thanks!

Always a pleasure! Gale is knowledgeable and happy to help with any rare problem that may arise. (We bought an old original Dead record that was slightly damaged, which she readily replaced.) Pretty great selection; prices generally higher than on Amazon but still very reasonable. Youre given good customer service but you can browse peacefully as well, which is nice because there are lots of cool finds to stumble upon. If you like vinyl, youre doing yourself a disservice if you dont check it out.

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL PLACE! Been going here since before they moved from downtown area. Selection is gigantic and varied, with even a corner for 1/4 inch tape selection (rare to see these days). If its a weird record you may find it as Ive been surprised more then three times while looking about. They recently expanded their Record Player/Amplifier selection for getting you started on a good note. Players range from vintage to modern.Gale is lovely and offers help if your unsure on what your looking for (if you dont bring your prejudices or ego above yourself) and loves conversing if your open to it. Be aware that pricing is impacted by original sleeves and posters being included or not. See a lot of complaining in these reviews without reading stickers.PS their is a lot of idiots coming in here expecting royal treatment and immaculate MINT grading in every single sleeve and tub. Get real and take it or leave it!

I am getting back into vinyl and WOW this store has a lot of new and used vinyl records. They also sell CDS too. A nice selection of turntables in different price ranges. Some speakers and used/vintage amps. Other new and used audio equipment too. Gale and the new dude are both knowledgeable and happy to help! The selection is crazy, the prices are about the same I have found on eBay stores and Longmont second hand stores that have LPs for sale. You can not expect a small store with large over head to have bargain basement prices. The Records are cleaned and ready to go. I buy local before I buy online. The store has a great vibe kinda like a used bookstore but for music.

Im not sure what these other reviewers are doing and Im sorry that they experienced anything but a pleasure. I walked in and was greeted but left alone to wander the wonderfully organized catalog. This store caters to collectors, audiophiles, and the casual vinyl listener. They have rare albums and everything under the sun. If youre looking for Rock & Roll youll find it. Metal and Progressive? On LP, what are you mad? Its there too. Old bookends box sets and originally wrapped presses. Professionally cleaned if not sealed and clearly labeled. Somehow in my visit I walked out with live versions of LPs that I was looking for and surprisingly found. Not another store on the front range has what they have and in such good condition. Be pleasant and youll find everyone to be your friend.

I want to give this store a higher review but I cannot. On the positive side, they have an impressive collection of used CDs that are decently priced. As for their records; they have MANY records Ive not seen in ages and the selection is quite diverse. The downside is, like many other stores selling vinyl, their prices are astronomical. Ive been in the store on numerous occasions, been impressed with the selection, but left because a $40 price tag for an LP is outrageous.

Yes, some of the records are priced higher than what you may find on Discogs. There is no way a bricks-and-mortar store can compete with an online retailer. This store gives you a chance to browse and hold the record in your hand before you decide to buy. Some bargains can be found. I have found many. The extra percentage you might pay is well worth the price to have a local record shop that stock quality discs.Yes, the store owner is a little quirky. She gets stressed and can be a little short under pressure. Just give her a chance and some grace. You might find her to be quite pleasant after you get to know her.As for the quality. If you find a record in poor condition at this store its only because it slipped through the cracks. They try to stock VG+ or better records only. (look up the rating system, Good does not mean good)

I would say this place has a great selection but I never got the chance to look at anything. While flipping through my first box of records, which are way overpriced, the owner copped a nasty attitude with my daughter. I decided to grab my daughter and leave and the owner proceeded to yell at us on our way out. I’ve seen a lot of reviews on the store that talk about this lady’s nasty attitude. I can tell you firsthand that it’s true she is a very rude person with no customer service skills.

Terrible customer service. Id been looking for a specific record at a few places, so I call Recycled Records. The owner picks up, and she seems extremely inconvenienced that Im asking her whether she has a record in stock (she sighs heavily, doesnt seem to know where to look for the record in the shop, complains that the band doesnt list the titles on the front of the albums, so shes going to have to pull out *every one* to read the spine), and cross-examines me on why I cant just come to the store to look myself (where do you live? how far is that? cant you just drive here?). Finally, she finds the record and tells me its $20. Thats really exciting to me, because Ive been looking for this record for a while, and thats a really good price, so I double-check: really? $20? Yes. I ask her for the hours of the shop, and she doesnt seem to really know (huh?), but says theyll be open for a while today.Okay, so I call up a friend in Boulder and ask her to drive up to Longmont to pick up the record for me. Friend shows up and the record is priced at $62... over THREE TIMES what she told me on the phone. When my friend says, I thought it was $20? she patronizingly responds, Oh no, this is a *very* rare record! Well no sh**. Thanks but no thanks... Ill spend my money elsewhere.TL;DR: The owner of this shop doesnt know: 1) what she has in stock; 2) where her records are located in her shop; 3) the hours of her shop; 4) how to read a price tag; 5) how to talk to customers.

I just found this place over the weekend. Service was great, they even set up my new turntable as Im relativity new to vinyl. Prices were great, at or below amazon on a lot of things. Really glade a place like this is in my town.

Avoid this record store, make the trip to Boulder and go to Barts instead. Recycled Records overcharges for everything and the owner is not organized enough to be running a business. She short changed me and didnt believe me when i said how much i expected back, and didnt have any archives to verify my claim. Lost $10 plus however much Ive been overpaying the whole time. Any other record store in Boulder County is more deserving of your money.

Im a lifelong record collector and have been in record stores all over the U.S., but Ive never seen such overpriced records! Seriously, most of their display records are easily 2-3x Discogs or even Ebay prices. I know that they recently changed locations so I dont know if this is temporary, but their entire stock is in plastic tubs. PLASTIC TUBS! Im not talking about milk crates, I mean flimsy plastic storage tubs with curved sides. Expect the records in the back 1/4 of each tub to be warped. I can easily spend 2+ hours in a well-stocked store (and can spend hundreds of $$$ at one go), but I walked out of this place empty-handed after about 10 minutes of looking. Definitely wont be back unless the owner has a moment of clarity/sanity and rethinks the prices.

I use Recycled Records for their cd collection, not their album collection which is huge. I do not go in very often, only when I have time to kill and when I am close by. I give them four stars because the cds are a little over priced and some of them are in bad shape (heavily scratched). The employee is very nice and helpful and the owner is a little rough around the edges, which I kind of like.

Most albums are around the same price as the internet (without shipping) and she guarantees all she sells, which is great for me because Ive had a lot of bad luck buying vinyls online lately.Went in yesterday looking to upgrade my record player, and was very happy with what I found. Denon DP-15F turn table and a Onkyo receiver for $200!!! She saved me hundreds!

I am a Longmont High School student who is doing a final project. We are painting on vinyl records. We are depending on this to pass our 9th grade year. So we called this place to see if they could donate some records.When we asked politely if they would be willing to donate some records the lady on the phone laughed and said no. Their costumer service is very rude and unwelcoming. We will not be calling or visiting this store again. We give a shout out to Goodwill and MCHS thrift store for donating to our project.

Decent selection, but the prices are outrageous. Also, found a white power metal record (big swastika in the middle of the cover) and when my friend pointed it out to the woman who worked there (owner?) she got defensive and threw the record at him. This was in front of my two kids. They also had a few LPs of speeches by Adolph Hitler.Im not saying this woman is a Nazi, but Im also not saying shes not a Nazi. Spend your money elsewhere.

My teen age son and I have been going to Recycled Records for some time now, great selection of vinyl, very good selection of CDs. We buy mostly CDs. We can always find something we dont have yet. New location is much better than the old downtown store. Very good selection of new and used turn tables and pre-owned audio.

Great Vibs, reminds me of the record store of the 60s and 70s, where the employees knew everything about every record they sold. Very pleasant experience.Just wish they had a little more room for the volume of inventory they have, but thats what actually sets the VIB. Have a great selection of titles, most I pulled were G to VG at best in condition, if they werent sealed new. Who cares if you professionally vacuum cleaned a record if it looks like you also ice skated on it?? New MFSL records way overpriced compared to elsewhere. Most record collectors who arent new to hobby, or at least have half a brain can do better elsewhere. I mean I expect to pay more than online prices at a brick and mortar but their prices are crazy. Old lady owner gave me a little attitude til I checked her and told her I used to run a store also. From the reviews it seems she is a real peach.
