Stop and shop is awesome. Its a big supermarket and price is pretty good. Foods they sell are good but I miss theyre cheader and sour creme chips and I wish they had gushers. Stop and shop is so cool.

Bakery is fresh and delicious… ordered cakes for bdays and had so many compliments

Great grocery store. Parking is easy and Ive never been on a line for more than 5 minutes. Aisles are stocked and cleaned and the bakery and deli selection is great.

I had a great experience shopping here probably my favorite supermarket. Every visit is super easy and convenient. The grocery manager Christopher vogt is always super helpful. If it wasnt for him I honestly may start shopping at a different supermarket! Such a great atmosphere. LOVE THE STORE❤

While many other Long Island stores have been renovated the the stop and shop located in Long Beach New York is terrible, when you first enter the store you can tell the building has never been updated you would think after taking over walbuams that they would renovate it, this area also smells like drugs and never seems to be cleaned, even thought there is an entrance to the produce department as the main entrance if you come at night hours before the store closes or will be locked and you have to go through the back checkout area. This store also isn’t stocked well and other stop and shop store items wouldn’t be carried here, the store has a lot of potential but needs to be fixed, It’s the only main grocery store in town, besides that they employees are very nice and work hard, just please get this store back to the way it should.

Big selection of products and produce. great deals every week. sometimes the store is a little messy because of so many people but in general I would recommend this store.

Massive, very well stocked supermarket in the heart of Long Beach, a block from the LIRR Long Beach Station.

It would be better if they were better stocked and if self check out consistently took cash.

The staff are abusive to their employees. They have berated and humiliated them in front of customers countless times. The cashiers are treated horribly. I’ve seen this lady verbally abuse cashiers before assuming she’s probably a manager & no one even flinched about it. This wasn’t just a one time occasion. I will not return as a customer again.

This place is HUGE! They have a wonderfully large fruit and veggie section. It is well maintained and clean. The pharmacist is the sweetest and most helpful man. This is one of the nicest Stop & Shops I have been to.

I have yet to come across a single employee at this store who has not been polite and helpful. Their early adoption of early shopping access for seniors was particularly appreciated as a way for those of us who are most vulnerable to the virus to avoid unnecessary social contact. Both management and their employees deserve five stars for their constant attention to their customers safety and ease of shopping.

Smells like a sewer in there. Your store isnt that bad but it did smell in an area. I love stop and shop stores but maybe because of it being a new store from waldbaums they prolly didnt care to take care of it. No disrespect

It has been downhill ever since Stop & Shop (European owned) took over from Waldbaums. In all fairness, Stop & Shop has a very good produce department. But, having said that, they are almost always under-stocked, lately blaming Covid, but Stew Leonards/King Kullen doesnt seem to have that problem. I always leave this store wishing I went somewhere else.

Overall experience in store has always been positive. I shop primarily in the evening to avoid the larger crowds and the workers have always been helpful and polite. However, a couple of nights ago one particular associate that was helping me find a product was drunk. He was slurring his speech, staggering and reaked of alcohol. This worker has helped me in the past and is absolutely delightful but as a business owner myself, this cannot be tolerated. I was trying to find a way to contact the company on line but the new website is dreadful and I couldnt find a link to email. The worker told me his name is Jorge. Again, I dont want to cause an issue but in the state he was in he couldve done damage or caused an accident.

Terribly organized supermarket. There are two aisles of Mexican/Asian food. Meaning that they could easily just have one of each but instead it is a confusing mess of two aisles of both. On top of this they dont even bother to fix their hours. On Sunday they close at 8pm even though it says 10 online. Shows up at 8:10 and the door was locked and had a stack of shopping baskets in front of it. Very annoying.

I have never had an issue at the Long Beach Stop N Shop before. Been shopping there many years. Yesterday I purchased a pre sliced package of German bologna from the Deli Department that was cut on the 6/11, purchased on 6/13. When I got it home and opened it for lunch for the family it smelled bad, it was slimy and it was discolored around the edges. In other words it was rotten. So I had to come up with another lunch plan for the family. Having other things to do today, I had to make a trip back to the store with the rotten bologna, customer service said to go to the Deli and just tell them to cut me the same amount of bologna again as an exchange. I believe it was probably the Manager of the Deli Dept. asked me what was wrong with the bologna, I explained and the Manager argued with me with an attitude that the bologna was not rotten, this is German bologna and that’s how it is. And no matter what I said she kept it up and insisted on how the lighting they use in the cases makes it look like that. I am a Chef and I know food VERY well and the Germans would be insulted if they knew you presented their bologna as discolored, rotten smelling and slimy. The bologna was rotten! And “the customer is always right”!

It is a nice place to shop. But only thing is that vegetables were not fresh.

Very low on certain products

I have a confession to make, I really dislike food shopping. Its not that I dont like food -because that would not be the case. Its more that food shopping has become tedious, and I cant blame stop & shop for that. That being said I do miss Wallbaums, and I do most of my food shopping at Trader Joes.

I love Long Beach and this Stop& Shop is the best.

Fair to average supermarket. Pricing is generally sharp and the service personnel are great. The produce department is especially good amd I get most of my fruits and vegetables there. The meat department is passable but I find the fish department pricey and very average.

Each trip I discover something new. Typically I shop TJs so Im familiar with the flow of the store. Today I finally figured out where the hummus is stocked. I will attribute managing social distancing, fogging up my glasses wearing a mask, and other stressors to why my mind couldnt previously figure it out.My new normal is shopping based on my sacral needs so I try to hunt for different things hence my discoveries. So far I loved stumbling on single pack frozen salmon. Theres nothing like thawing out two pieces [TJs] like the 🙄😏 dinner for one. 🤦🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️Anyway, the floor is labeled one-way and I doubt people are present of mind so go with the flow. So far patrons have been respectful and not people policing azzhats. The shopping vibe is chill and patrons manage social distancing.The store is clean and well stocked. The Starbucks inside is a plus though I havent felt that at ease to order a drink while managing my personal circus of positioning my glasses over my mask to avoid fogging yet not smash my magnetic lashes while doing so. Theres also my latex gloves, carring recycled bags, social distancing, and avoiding putting 10 crunchy snacks in my cart [self soothing] to manage.When its time to check out Ive opted for self-serve for peace of mind. Im glad no one is policing that area when I pull up with more than 20 items. Ive found it difficult to avoid plastic bags while watching my items being rung up. Remember the store employee cannot touch your recycled bags then my anxiety kicks up self packing while another customer waits.I think this was more journaling than store review. For other empaths I know its just what you need.

Always good sales every week I like how they have the new three items on sale for great prices for 3 days most of the time its always something I can use

Burnside Ave. store periodically gets in new items that are hard to find in my area. Variety and sales are a great selling point. Roomy even when busy.

Friendly service. Has everything you need. If its too hot outside just take a stroll down the frozen section hahaha

Its a good place to shop

Only had self checkout open when we were leaving and we had a full cart. Had to wait in line for awhile, and then the self checkout kept on glitching. There has never been great service there but this was by far our worst experience. We asked the ONE woman who was helping out with self checkout to help us but she had so many people to help that she couldn’t help us. This all happened on mother’s day as well where you would expect better service. Would not recommend going here!

There were no wipes at the door to clean the scanner or cart at 6:00am.The plastic bag recycling bin shouldbe put back in the front lobby area.

I went the day before Christmas Eve, so you can imagine that the place would be low on stock and messy, but it was very clean. I asked a gentleman who works there if he could help me. There was a few items that I had been unable to locate. He was the nicest guy, and went all over the store, and even checking a delivery that had just come in to help me find everything I needed. GREAT experience in my opinion, will def be shopping there more often!

Dirty bathrooms and they did not have what we went in for. We are regular customers at a different Stop & Shop and were quite disappointed in our experience with this one.

I dont understand the Deli department. Stop and Shop sells there own brand of pickles. They sell mini dill chip pickles and they sell Horseradish dill dill chip pickles. The long Beach Store cant keep enough of this product on the shelves. For the last couple of weeks there havent been any of Stop and Shops products on the shelves. Who ever is running that department needs to know what the phrase Supply and Demands actually means. When the store does have the product it sells out quickly. This pickles are some of the best tasting pickles you sell. Maybe its time for some to talk to who ever runs this department and have them stay on top of the products that sell.

Im giving this well stocked store a 1 star because of the poorly maintained mens bathroom. The floor was just mopped, but the toilet bowl apparently not been scrubbed for weeks. The baby changing table is filthy with no obvious attempt to clean it for months???!!!???

Unfortunately in Long Beach aside from small deli s & bodegas this is the only large scale supermarket. There are 2 smaller scale markets, Key Food which I prefer, one in the West End & one in the East End, each are privately owned. I frequent the West End store. There is not as much variety however I find their prices competitive & the deli has everything you could find at Stop & Shop and I often find that their prices are lower. Since there is little competition Stop and Shop has the locals who cant drive no other choice but to do their grocery shopping with them. However they do have everything you need to shop for & other services including a Starbucks & pharmacy. It is a large scale supermarket and I often find that I wind up with a lot of items that were impulse purchases.
