This place is SO cool! The drink designs sold me when I was looking for a good cafe. I tried the Cookie Monster latte and my friend had the birthday cake one. I took pics of it because it looked so cool. The only reason I would give this place 4 out of 5 stars is because of the seating. It took forever to get our drinks (the place was so busy so I understood why), but to find a seat was another story.

At 10:20 AM on Sunday there was one person working. I waited 10 minutes in the line hardly moved. I could tell that I would be there another 20 to 30 minutes before I would be able to order. It wasn’t the workers fault she was alone and clearly the line in front of me and behind me was long. The coffee must be great. But I have other things to do with my day other than waiting 30 minutes or more for a cup of coffee. Go around the corner to Wolf’s coffee on Norse Way you’ll get served right away in the coffee is great.I hope these folks can afford to add another server at Portola. I’d be glad to try it again as long is the wait is in a half an hour.

Portola - Delicious Coffee @ the Hangar.While it may not stand out as the best coffee anyone has ever had, it is good and it is a nice fix after a delicious, filling meal at the Hangar. 👍 Each time Ive visited, it has become a ritual to grab a coffee on the way out - and I look forward to it. The baristas are courteous and professional, and the price isnt bad. And lastly, depending on the day/time you arrive, there are some decadent little pastries one can indulge in. Never displeased. 😊 Recommend for a caffeine fix (and maybe throw in a few extra carbs/calories while youre at it).

Portola is a way above average coffee bar. All coffee is brewed to order with a selection of beans and brewing methods. As of March 20, 2021, indoor and outdoor seating available.

Unfortunately I didn’t get the employees name but she was very nice and understanding. Customer service was above and beyond. Coffee was A+, I don’t think there is a better coffee place in 3 miles from this place.

The employees at this particular coffee shop make me feel welcome every time I am at their store. Hands down one of my favorite coffee spots in Long Beach.

Had the most delicious black cold brew coffee from this spot. They called it their Kyoto cold brew which just sounds like a fancy way to make it sound exotic. I mean heck I have been to Kyoto and the Kansai area dozens of times and had never seen cold brew made that way but the product it supposedly makes was amazing.The coffee was surprisingly smooth with plenty of flavor and notes, and as the ice melted while I sipped it a few other flavors really popped out more. If it wasnt for the crazy parking here I would probably come a lot more often but for now this coffee shop will continue to be a place I go to treat myself.

We had a couple hours to kill before our flight home from Long Beach so stopped by Long Beach Exchange. Grabbed a vanilla latte and matcha frosted croissant for a snack at Portola Coffee Roasters. Wow and wow. Loved the latte - best I’ve had in a while and the croissant was equally amazing. Not too sweet, just enough matcha. Now how can we get Portola out to Salt Lake City?!

I ordered an ice late coffee with a little sugar. It was extremely sweet and I had to ask him to change it. When he has done it again, he has put me cold filter coffee or cool brew with a little milk. This is not a recipe for a latex coffee. (You can see it in the photo) If I go to a specialized cafe, I hope to meet coffee professionals, baristas. The coffee that they have put me is terrible ..... A shame because the previous one was well prepared but with an excess of sugar impossible to drink ...... Lack of professionalism for not preparing it correctly
