Looked online for the products I wanted (harbinger bar pad) and asked the staff in the register (Kameila) where they have them and she said “you might want to try Amazon, they have everything there”. I know Amazon has everything but I wanted the pad then and was in the store for the same reason. She clearly didn’t even know what merchandise the store carries if she was directing me to buy it on Amazon. What a great way to sell at the store she works for.

Horrible customer service they just make you feel very uncomfortable. The moment you walk in the employees look at you like ahh other customer came in. Yes if it wasnt for us going in you have a job because without us you wouldnt. I wont be going there again thats for sure. Just take my business to a other sporting goods.

Called ahead of time to see if their firearms department could help me with a FSC test, required by State of California for Firearm purchase. Woman on the phone said they could do it without purchase. Showed up, manager said purchase was required. When I told him that his staff told me otherwise and that it needs to be made clear to them thats not the case he said No need to give me attitude.Clay has no idea how to provide customer service as what he should have done is apologized and said hell make sure everyone knows the policy so it doesnt happen again.Instead the guy just made things worse by acting like its no big deal for me to drive down here after calling....for nothing.

Terrible terrible terrible!!! Three young girls chatting it up at the cash register and not helping anybody and then smart mouthing me at the checkout for no reason. Manager was on break so he was needed for a sale that I wanted but was unavailable. One really nice guy covering the entire store all by himself lucky he was there handling the entire store. Some people need to be fired and I will be contacting corporate Since the manager doesnt seem to know what hes doing or who hes hiring.

The person who helped me with my return was very unfriendly...no thank you, no your welcome. I asked him that I want the return back in the card Didnt tell me that debit cards you get cash back on returns...he just hand me the cash and when I asked he paused and looked at me like am doing something wrong. Thats when he told me about the debit card policy.

I never get out of this store feeling good about my shopping experience. Either I am returning defective merchandise or I am frustrated by the fact you carry very few larger size ladies shoes or clothing and the sales staff is very rude and seem put out by having to actually help customers. I hate to say this but, I see Big 5 heading toward the retail bone yard with so many others. CUSTOMER SERVICE, CUSTOMER SERVICE, CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

One true hallmark of the Big 5 Sporting Goods. The staff really helped me find a specific shoe I was looking for and he took the liberty and located my specific size while going out of his way. I like the store itself and how well maintained it was. I can say though it does not get any awards on appearance as it does feel cluttered but whatever you have to do to keep prices low I suppose!

Service here is lacking and not really engaging. No one here seems like they really want to help you and seem to try to avoid you when shopping. This place reallt needs some sort of a motivational movement to get people here more excited about the job they have. Cant really always blame the employees as much as management (are they just bosses or are they leaders? ).

Bought some shoes that I didnt even notice they were display, shoelace was defective and when I tried to replace them for other ones they dont even have enough on stock.They wont even give me new shoelaces, Ive been a loyal costumer for a long time but I guess Road Runners got a new costumer because they got better policy.

I’ll never shop at this location again, you have 3 associates working, 1 is busy and the rest were asked for help....and I was told “sorry you’ll have to wait for him” 7pm 4/25/18. I work in retail myself and I don’t help just those in my department. I help anyone in any department. Are you lazy to help another customer? The poor guy helping in the shoe department was the only one helping customers. While the other 2 are just talking.

I got one small item I needed, but when I asked them to price match a grill I found at 5 other places... I was told flat out NO. So im on my way to Dicks to buy the same grill for $75... not $119. Lost a customer big 5....

Big 5 usually has pretty good sales on their shoes. And every Sunday in my newspaper there is a Big 5 ad. So if & when you are in need of athletic shoes, whether it be, forRunning, walking, playing basketball, or soccer, or any other sport, Big 5 has a large selection of shoes. And on top of their shoes being on sale (a different selection each week), you can sometimes find a $10/off coupon in a blue envelope brought 2 you with you mail. Hatt says, valpak.

I have been to this location twice in the past 6 months for two different reasons. The first I needed to buy an air mattress for my mother to come to town. I went into the store and the cashier noted if there was an issue with the mattress I would be able to return it. I went home and noticed the pump that came with it was not working. I took it back to the store where they let me know I was out of luck they could do nothing to help me. I went back on a separate occasion looking for archery arrows. I stood at the desk for upwards of 15 minutes waiting for the cashier to come grab them from behind the counter. I finally asked if she could help me at the counter to which her response was what do you want I stated I was looking for arrows and she said where I said arrows for archery to which she responded what? like for bow and arrows! by this time I realized she was not going to be kind or helpful and asked how much they were. She had no idea and spent an additional 10 minutes trying to figure out the price. I hate this location and have never had good service from even the managers. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! ANYWHERE ELSE!!!
