Local fabric store in Lakewood, and surprisingly well stock. I needed quilting thread and beeswax and they had it.

Needed backing for a quilt and they actually had a wonderful selection of high-quality cotton fabrics to choose from. Also nice to know that they are GLBTQ+ friendly, unlike certain Baptist-run stores with the initials Hobby Lobby…. Joann’s is our craft chain store of choice.

This JoAnns was so organized and clean !! There were only 2 employees working in the store at the time, they were very helpful and patient with the costomers. excelent job JoAnn employees great attitude!

They need more help at this location. Guy at register was not helpful and blew off this 70+ yr old lady when I asked for assist with their coupons on my phone!A sweet young girl behind me offered me help with it with her phone! Maybe he was having a bad day?

The staff was not helpful at all. Theres a large amount of fabrics to choose from but other than that theres not a whole lot of other crafting supplies. Disappointed this is the only one in the LB area.

Not the largest Joanns. Might be the smallest Ive been in but everything was very efficiently displayed and thoroughly stocked. Very helpful staff.

Went in looking for a specific frame size and managed to find the last one. Since this is a smaller location, i feel like your options overall are a a bit more limited because they can only stock so much on their shelves. that being said, its a lot quieter and slower then the bigger locations and has more basic items. so go with what works for you. staff are nice too and they usually have a sale running on stuff.

Best craft & fabric store in Long Beach

They only have one line open to call in and you have to spam call to try and get service for curbside pickup. Others had better luck than I did and came and left while I was still waiting. How can they get this so wrong.

Great store for fabrics of all kinds. Tons of fleece as well to make fleece blankets. which are Great as gifts and also fun to do with your littles. They also have a ton of crafty things for all ages. The ladies there are very helpful and knowledgeable. they even check their other stores for u if they are out if what you need. :)

This location is very small and messy. Almost nothing has price tags unless the price is already on the product by the manufacturer. That is super obnoxious as a consumer. I would have spent a lot more money if things had prices. I bought a couple small things and left. Friendly staff but would not go back to this location.

Im a beginner with sewing, so it can be intimidating going in to find things for a project. Everyone there is helpful, and one person went out of their way to make sure I could find the things I needed. There are some small things they didnt have at this location, but I did start a weird project and they definitely had the majority of what I wanted and then some.

This store is my go to place for my craft needs. Everyone is a so nice. My only complaint is there are not enough childrens craft kits. Melissa and Doug have a great verity to start our crafters on a much needed path.

The people here are always kind and helpful. I had someone who was noticeably new and got to watch how her superiors treated her. Just watching them I would come back here and only spend my money here. They trained her and were patient and kind. I can appreciate that. Also the line was short and everything easy to find.

This store has it all!!! Everyone is very nice and a wealth of knowledge regardless of the project you have. Very nice and helpful employees and the location is fantastic. The prices on fabric is very competitive. Same goes with yarn. Always have great sales. Huge selection of Cricut products. Love this store!!!

I’ve gone to pick up online order from this store and They always tell me just come in today I did that and the guy at the front was so rude and told me no you need to get the store wait outside. When I told him I’m just here for a pick up and your phone is busy and he was extremely rude gave me attitude so of course I return the attitude and he was just a pain to work with.

Great for buying fabrics. They even got Dodgers fabric you could make something custom. You could get scissors and felt also scrab booking (whatever that is)

The last three time i have been in there they did not have what I needed. I had to drive to Buena Park store.

While a little smaller than other JoAnn stores, this one has the friendliest employees and a great selection of fabrics, plus a very well organized and stocked pattern section. They also have a great variety of clearance fabric remnants and are very helpful with matching fabrics together for your projects.

Hit and miss here. Sometimes the employees seem to be in a bad mood, other times they are super friendly and helpful. Fabrics are decent, and if you use the coupons and sales you can get really good deals.

I dont know but it seems that of late this store has hired inexperienced, young people who do not go out of their way to assist. If it is store policy not to open a package then so be it but if thats the case then tell me so, dont just ignore my request. I had to look up the answer on the internet but the clerk never acknowledged my question, Can you just open the package and let me compare my own bobbin (the one I had brought from home) to see if they match? I have an old machine and havent shopped for bobbins in quite some time. I asked her this question at least 3 times and she simply said nothing and kept on saying she thought it looked like the right one by holding it up to the outside of one of the packages (of which there were 3 different sizes). She did call back to someone in the back but they never came up so in the mean time (and while a line was forming), I looked up what fit my machine and it ended up being one of the other packages, not the one she suggested. I didnt want to have to go home and try it and have to come back. At that point, I would have had an open package anyway. Ive seen repacked items on the shelves before and even purchased some because I get that sometimes we buy the wrong item and dont know until we open it but I have little patience for this younger generation who doesnt think things out or through. At least she wasnt rude but it makes me wonder how youre training the newcomers and if you ask what sewing background they have. I will still use this store as it is close and Ive been using them for years. I havent had any other problems other than the younger ones not being the type of clerk Im used to which is a servant mentality (and I dont mean slave). I mean general good-service type of assistance. If they dont know, they should volunteer to see if they can find out. I noticed what looked like some good training at the store in Lakewood but Im not gonna drive up there when I can walk to this one.

Today was just a return, which was super easy. Friendly cashier. My last visit however, when I was planning to purchase fabric, ended with me not buying it since I couldnt find anyone to answer my questions. I found most of their prices kind of high but with sale prices, some were comparable to other stores. They do have a nice selection of fabrics.

They have exactly what you need in a fabric and craft store. They have plenty of patterns and fabric to choose from along with tons of craft supplies. This location may be a bit on the small side for what Im used to, but it is just what I need. It has the perfect fabric Im looking to use in my next project.

I visited this store this morning, on my break-time, looking for miniature Halloween figurines for my daughter & niece. The two old women that were working there were literally on me watching my every move. Im sure that they were thinking that I went in to shoplift. Im a 39 yr. old man who was dressed in my company uniform. Im not one to pull the race card, but this is exactly what that was. It was a racial thing. I didnt give them my business nor do I plan to in the future.

Joann fabric store... You always find something to buy. Always makes me find more projects to work on as well... So enter with caution. The coupon game in this store is hardcore as well.

Shopped for material to make cushions for a boat. It was tedious to say the least. The staff had very bright colored hair lol, but the customer service was AWESOME!!

This location is quiet and peaceful most of the time and I like that. However, they seem a little short staffed at times and it can take a long time to get your fabrics cut, etc. Also, the clearance items are priced too high in my opinion. They hardly ever seem a deal.
