Debbie, the owner, is so nice and knowledgeable. And her mechanics are very good. Left my 1980 Caddy that wasnt running, and they diagnosed the issue and had it fixed quickly and affordably. Debbie even went as far as replacing two tires that had been slashed overnight, for free. Great, friendly service.

I was in a pinch and had some timing constraints where I had a 1965 VW Bus shipped in from Europe to Oxnard on a ship to connect to another vessel to Honolulu out of Long Beach. When I got to the bus it wouldnt run. I had the bus towed down to West Coast VW Repair after calling dozens of shops that wouldnt take the bus in for repair for a simple starter & wiring swap out. West Coast VW Repair accepted the bus with no issues right away. Manny was awesome and took care of the issue and was very communicative as I couldnt be at the shop. Thank you Manny & Debbie, you made my logistical headache go away and the Bus is running great! Next time I am in Long Beach, Ill be sure to stop by.

My volkswagen jetta wasnt starting so I had it towed over to Westcoast vw repair shop. Debbie, the owner, greeted me and had me leave my jetta to be checked out. She later called me after her mechanics found out what was causing the problem. I agreed to have the work done as the price seemed extremeley fair. I picked up my jetta the next day and it started up wonderfully. I now bring my jetta here for all the maintnance and oil changes and stuff like that. I also like to support women owned local businesses.

I called and asked for a price on a specific service. I was asked how it was diagnosed and what symptoms i was experiencing. I explained; the mechanic asked me to stop by because he felt this repair would not be needed. Rather than trying to sell me on a service i requested, Manny and Jose read the computer errors and reset the system. They suggested that i drive it for a day then come back to read again. They charged nothing. I came back and they looked it over again and suggested a possible issue that i could fix (a sensor). Since they didnt have the part available they suggested that I purchase it elsewhere. The service i initially had requested would have been about $300. As it turns out i am likely able to take care of this for less than $50 once the part arrives. They charged nothing, but they gained a customer. Ill be doing all my regular services with them.

Just had some work done at West Coast and everything was exceptional. I brought my GTI in partially torn down and they finished the work I started, changed out the timing belt, water pump, oil change, and few other things. All that and they got it out by the end of the day. To top it off everyone was really friendly and easy to work with. Highly recommended.

Horrible experience. Chose this location based on good reviews and proximity to my house. Had minor repair work done and an oil change. I had items stolen from my vehicle and a month later my transmission blew. Current AAA certified repair shop states that their is zero fluid in the transmission and that this should have been caught with oil change and service. $7000 mistake.

Worst customer service experience of my life!! BE WARNEDI’ll say this I’m not sure if the work they do is good or bad compared to other places…but the customer service is TERRIBLE. Read the other reviews listed here on Yelp…see all the ones warning about the attitude and lack of customer care?...they are totally and completely accurate! I thought, “well it won’t be like that for me.” WRONG. Take it from me…STAY AWAY! Take your hard earned money somewhere else and help a business owner who actually knows the value of respecting customers. I’m not even mad at how much I paid…I’m pissed that a single cent when to this establishment. To start it off, it was clear that the receptionist had no idea what was going on as she had to call the owner about every, single little question. To the point that, when she asked one of the mechanics over to help answer a question, he rolled his eyes and shook his head in frustration at her three times because she “wasn’t getting it.” Even their own employees see how useless she is. It’s actually almost sad.And the owner…what a piece of work! Not only was she curt on the phone, she took it as a personal insult that I was asking so many questions about what exactly she was recommending and how much each cost. And when I called to get clarification on what they had or hadn’t already started so I could budget accordingly I was met with an abrasive voicemail message telling me to “pick up my car immediately.” Upon arriving to pick it up and pay I was fully attacked. The owner took my credit card but wouldn’t actually run it until she “made me listen first” and yelled at me for 5 straight minutes. Even when I told her to stop and to just charge me so I could leave she kept going. Personally, I do not need to be spoken to that way or held hostage so someone can verbally attack me.I find behavior like this to be completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I love Long Beach and pride myself at going to little mom & pop shops…but I see no value in an owner like this staying in business.

Suspect business model. no reservations accepted, cash only, just first come first served. many individuals as a result of employment, etc. do not have that flexibility. As i was waiting to speak to the mamager she turned two others away, me being the third. i suspect they will not return. i certainly will not.
