Our transmission cooler hose sprung a leak and dumped a lot of fluid. I called AAMCO a very nice man took my information so AAA could drop my car off. When it arrived, he called to inform me he had it. Within hours he called to say he fixed it, test drove and it drives right no transmission problems. The charge was very reasonable and no up sales. I know my other two shops I use couldnt do it that fast and that cost. Very professional at AAMCO I highly recommend this location.

Had my transmission service and had to return and needed help with getting the dip stick out. Manager, Mr. T was obnoxious and rude.screaming, Im busy. He was paid $269.00 to service my car but he wont get another dollar from me. Further,. I went to another trans shop where the gentleman removed the dip stick whereby he did not have to put it on a rack. Maybe its time fir Mr.T to retire. He surely does not have the personality to deal with the public. Good bye and good luck Mr. T.

2oo6 Jeep Commander with 91968 miles on it, for about a month it would Intermittently downshift to 3rd and basically just lose power its my wifes Suv, AAMCO had it a day an noted a list of Fault code and offered Trans; Option 3. $5900 3yrs, unlimited mileage warranty. Option 2. $4891 2yrs or 24K miles Option 1. $1298 labor, plus any additional parts 1yr 12K warranty $150 Diagnostic apply to all options. They waved the diagnostic fee. A church member referred us to One Stop Auto in Bellflower, Johnny a super nice guy, and the Technician off the charts Id given him a copy of AAMCO recommendations And And did his own research kept it for day, Call me the next day which was Thursday morning told me hed reset all of the fok colds and the car was driving fine driver for couple days let me know yesterday being Saturday we drove it to San Diego towing a 4 by 8 trailer from you haul not a peep out of it it drove beautifully. One Stop Autos hourly diagnostic was $65 they charge me a $150 I gave him a $170 all some service ammco maybe I had stupid written on my head. Always get a second opinion after visiting ammco just my personal advice.

I was very pleased with the service I received. Chris and Carlton were very honest and professional. They ran a diagnostic check on my car and told me that they weren’t able to perform that service and they didn’t want me to waste money. They recommended a shop close by. I will definitely recommend this shop and these two guys in particular. I know it is stressful dealing with cars and expensive repair bills and there are many unscrupulous individuals. This shop is very honest and I had a great experience.

Carlton I believe thats the gentlemans name who assisted me with a diagnostic for my car. He was polite, professional and extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend AAMCO.

Ive been to this location twice, and both times Ive had a great experience. Ive predominately spoken to Richard, and hes always been very transparent with me on the process of whatever theyve done to my car. Everyone here is very flexible and patient (as I have a hectic work schedule and theyve accommodated me as best as they could). I appreciate the honesty and care here, and wouldnt mind bringing my car back. Thank you!

I took my jeep to this location with a check engine light before coming to this location I went to a dealership it took them 3 days to tell me they need more time with my jeep I took it to this location and I got not only a call telling me whats wrong with my engine but also had a quote written in a day ( this was almost 2 years ago) today I was leaking transmission fluid I took it too them and they had the repairs fixed in under an hour I do plan on bringing all my engine and transmission problems here because I TRUST these people with my vehicles

Mike saved my life. My other mechanic said that I had a minor transmission leak and I could drive on it for at least 6 months and be fine. I knew that was not accurate so I took it over to Mike and come to find out that not only did it have several leaks but the pressure was bad and all kinds of things were wrong.I basically needed a new transmission. CRAP! I couldnt afford a new transmission and Mike and Carlton went over some different options. I went with the first option and I have to say that Mike was honest, straightforward, knowledgeable, and courteous.Not only that he totally worked with me and my situation. They fixed my transmission and pointed out some other issues that I have to take back to my other mechanic that need to be fixed because they are under warranty.And to top it all off, they are TOTALLY concerned about their customer sanctification. They were honest, through, and well I just cant say enough.When I went to pick up my car they waited to show me what they did, gave me a detailed invoice, and because I got their late stayed past the time they closed to give me some information regarding the rules and requirements of mechanics for when I go back to my other mechanic.I would recommend them to EVERYONE. The North Long Beach location is where I went. When I arrived I was greeted by the manager Richard, he was very friendly and he was very knowledgable. He explained things very well. The shop was full on the 1st day I went so I had to come back but once a spot opened up they got me right in. I received outstanding service and highly recommend this location.Thanks Richard

I wanted to thank AAMCO of Long Beach for the splendid work they did on my Ford Ranger! Before I came to your shop I had firmly believed that the Ranger transmission was at fault. But boy was I wrong! Your ability and super diagnostics showed it to be an intermittent short in the wiring. Well, you guys certainly fixed that and more. Was coming back to Sacramento from Arizona.... our ride broke down in L.a... we were able to get it to AAMCO thank goodness and they took it in, did a full thorough inspection and found a few problems! They dealt with my warranty extension company and got my ride fixed, and fixed properly.... with OEM parts and performed a job as if it came out of the factory like this! Thats why I choose these guys... I wanted a dealership fix without the dealership price and thats exactly what I got! These guys are straight up from the jump! No messing about and nothing to hide. Honest with integrity is all I have to say!

I was considering buying a truck. The transmission sounded rough to me so I wanted a second opinion. Found AAMCO Transmission through an online search and headed over there. They did a thorough inspection and gave the truck a clean bill of health and said that it would need new brakes in the future, but the need wasn’t immediate. These guys seemed very confident in their area of expertise and were very personable. Id say if youre in the area and need work done, this is the place to be.

Took my truck to them before I take off to Alaska these guys r the best customer service people I have seen in a long time they serviced my trans and checked everything under the hood and all the moving parts as a mechanic my self these guys r the best. Mike and Richard were a BIG help to me! I travel, a LOT, and was passing through Los Angeles. My transmission developed a major leak in my truck, and needed to be resealed. I was given a ride to the mall to wait until my hotel would allow me to check in, a ride back to the shop to get my things, and a ride to/from the hotel. Mike and Richard did exactly what they said they would, for the VERY competitive price they said they would, no surprises. AND no more leaks! I would strongly recommend their service to anyone! Eric

Their radio ad states that inspections are free but when we got there they wanted to charge to inspect the transmission and give a price quote. Ammco had a really bad reputation for taking advantage of unsuspecting people I had hoped that had changed, Looks like it is the same old scam.

Sadly these people are not professional. Their website clearly states their hours of operation and I waited for almost an hour after the time they were said to open and no one showed up! Very poor for business.

I called to get a quote for a spark plug replacement. I spoke with Chris he was the most condescending rude individual at any Aamco I’ve ever spoken with. I have used other M Kos in the past and while they didn’t have the best customer service they were able to help me. I will never go to the Samco after being treated so poorly by Chris.

Had a weird font end lurching and grinding vibration when doing a downhill sharp turn in my Passat Wagon in San Pedro this week. The Aamco in Dana Point had rebuilt the transmission and installed a new transfer case but the same pre-new transmission transfer case repair issue happened once again. They told me to take it to the Aamco on South Street ASAP. Met Mike and we went for a very long test drive. He was super courteous and must have spent 20 minutes driving the car with me. I have never had any mechanic spend so much time in the car with me trying to find the problem. Unfortunately, that exact same downhill hairpin turn doing 30 mph could not be duplicated but Mike was awesome and helped me the best he could. If I did not live 60 miles away, I would most definitely bring my car there everytime.

A few years back the transmission on our chevy silverado was skipping. We took it to them paid in full but as we drove away the problem was still there. We brought it back 3 times, after 2nd time we were suspicious that they were not even doing anything to fix it, so third time around we put an identifying mark on transmission needless to say, the mark was still there when they returned the truck back to us still with the same problem. They werent even looking at it.

Came there having clutch problems plus other things going on with my transmissions to the point that my Jeep couldn’t even start. They fixed everything up and now the gears shift like butter.

I brought my 1997 Ford F-150 To Richard and the guys.Truck was not shifting correctly.They did a outstanding job on rebuilding my transmission.I took it back because I thought it was having problems again.Richard and the guys took the truck back with no problem.They troubleshoot the problem as an electric problem.Not only did they look at the truck again at no charge.Richard and the guys gave me information ware to take the truck for my electric issue.I will be bring all my cars to there shop for transmissions problems if I start having problems.I strongly recommend their service to anyone.
