Empathy in a situation when you have a much anticipated event is important in beauty service, Ulta Beauty lacked that in the way they handled a last minute cancellation.On the day of our event we got a call from Kat saying the only hair stylist for the appointment called in sick. Thats understandable, it happens with the times we are in, but when we tried to let them know it couldnt be rescheduled due to the event happening today. Kat instantly became defensive and her words and tone were hugely insulting. We then tried to ask if we still had our eyelashes appointment, but then we were hung up on! There was not even an apology during the conversation, which would make the news go down easier. We called back to respectfully share our thoughts on how we were treated and there was just silence from Kat, she can dish out disrespect, but cant handle being called out for it.Please be aware that some people at this business think of you as dirt to step on so they can just get to the end of the day.

This is a great location. The staff is very attentive and helpful. On my recent visit an employee helped me shade match by eye and made a spot on recommendation. Ive been a manager in retail, I know good customer service is tough. Your team is rocking it.

Just thought Id write a quick review. The Lompoc store, and staff are AWESOME! Every time my son and I go in, we are treated with respect, kindness lots of smiles and classy customer service. I mean, EVERYTIME! All the young ladies and men that help us are always so knowledgeable, and professional always making wonderful suggestions. I have never felt like I have been watched or made to feel uncomfortable at all. We have gotten suggestions on hair products, cologne, perfumes and Makeup. Their salon did a beautiful job on my sons hair. He was super pleased! Theyre all great at what they do, and it shows(You can really tell they love what they do). I love going to this store and always leave happy and feeling nice about the products I have purchased. I must not forget, this is one of the cleanest and most organized stores I have been to and I have been to a few. You will be pleased with the staff and your shopping experience. Give the Lompoc store a go. A true class act, no joke.Thanks Lompoc store for making me and my sons shopping experiences, just that, and great experience. You guys ROCK! You have customers for life.

The young man that was working was so kind and helpful. Loved him. Chick at the counter was a bit rude but they were closing up for the day so I understand. Thanks ulta! Love my purchases.

Ulta has a terrible customer service policy. So many times, sales are mis-labeled and incorrectly represented. And the associates never makes things right. No wonder this place is getting shut down.

I went into the store to grab some eyeliner from Morphe really quick with my friend. We were next in line and the line was long with only one cashier. Another person came to help and said, The next person in line, please. We were next so we went to the other cashier, and another lady cut right in front of us and the cashier said nothing. We said Excuse me, we are next. He still said nothing, and then look at us, ignored us, and then started cashing the lady out. We complained, but they said there been two lines the whole time. When we were there when there was only one cashier. So lying as well to top it off. This is the 2nd time it has happened. This is NOT okay. They need to pay attention, and have better customer service.

Let’s talk about SERVICE!!!! When I walk in I am greeted by name! That is beyond. I love everyone who works here. The management is amazing, my Clinique girl is never pushy and will suggest things that she thinks i would love. I’m sad I never got my hair done by the new hair department girl, but she SAVED my damaged bleached hair. This Ulta made me not go back to sephora in SB, it’s down the street from my office and it’s so friendly. I can’t wait to see my lovely people again once it reopens

I was extremely impressed with how quick and professional ulta was when my online order was never delivered, I emailed them and not only did they reship, they gave me a $10 gift card for the inconvenience 😁 staff instore are always friendly and helpful as well

I like the Lompoc Ulta better than the Santa Maria Ulta. The Lompoc Ulta is much cleaner and the staff is way more friendly.

Came to visit my family for the week and decided to drop in on a Sunday. Upon entering, my sister and I were greeted by the cashier in the front. As we began browsing around, two employees kept coming back and forth asking us if we needed help and even though we said no each time, they were relentless. At that point it became annoying because it felt as if they thought we were going to steal something and also seemed like they were just following us around to make sure we wouldn’t. Maybe because I was carrying a huge tote? But it was a damn LV and I’m freaken 8 months pregnant. I can afford to buy things and I’m not trying to run away from someone whilst pregnant, let alone go to jail! But one of the two employees seemed to be keeping an extra close eye on us the whole time. She stood next to us for a long minute by the brow bar and just stared at us before she even asked us if we needed help - which I found very weird because she made it so obvious that she was following us and keeping tabs for nothing. That same employee followed us to the checkout line and as we were browsing through the little travel sized items at the front, she just stood there and continued to stare...did not like the atmosphere here at all. Made us feel like criminals the whole time we were there but we ended up spending about $200 on products. So, I don’t get the deal. I understand, Lompoc is not the same as it used to be but to be singling us out like that? I don’t appreciate it at all. Glad I don’t live in Lompoc anymore and that I have many other Ulta’s to choose from that won’t make me seem like a damn criminal.
