I had a fantastic experience with my lasik procedure. I was far-sighted and could not read without glasses. I am 34 and I have worn glasses since I was 7. Dr Foulkes is a really cool guy who makes you feel very comfortable and explains everything. He is honest about the results you will get and takes away all of the anxiety of having the procedure done. The testing is thorough and the procedure is quick. I was only uncomfortable for the first day. After that, I hardly even had dry eyes. I can now read a book in bed with dim lighting! I could not even do that with my glasses on before. I actually cried happy tears the first time! I would recommend Dr. Foulkes to anyone!

Dr. Foulkes and his staff are wonderful. They are very friendly and informative about the process. Everything was painless, including the surgery. His supporting staff handled everything, including coordinating with my insurance and making sure I had the necessary prescriptions. All I needed to do was show up for the surgery. The surgery was only about ten minutes and I’ve had no complications. I’ve worn glasses since I was 5yrs old, having 20/20 vision is awesome!

This office is great, and the entire staff is very welcoming! I had my Lasik surgery performed last week and everything has been going well so far, its super fast by the way. Dr. Foulkes is very nice with a quirky sense of humor and explained everything to me during the procedure. Joyce was great to communicate with over e-mail and answered all questions/concerns very quickly. Would highly recommend!

Doctor Foulkes is two hours late for his 12:00 appointment. Why bother making appointments?

I had surgery with Dr. Foulkes a week ago, and couldnt be happier! The staff at all steps in the process were comprehensive, friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Henrickson did a great job of evaluating me and preparing me for what to come. Dr. Foulkes did a great job of actually fixing my eyes and explaining everything that was happening - its clear hes passionate about his work and his patients! The first 4-5 hours post-surgery were rough, but I was down to mild discomfort by late afternoon the day of my surgery, and had no pain or discomfort when I woke up the next morning. Im now off restrictions and have 20/20 vision!

I had Dr. Foulkes perform lasik on me in 1999 and couldnt have been happier. He spent a lot of time making sure I understood every facet of the operation. Hopefully they will be able to come up with something to take care of Presbyopia!!!

I highly recommend Foulkes Vision. After researching many options for LASIK, I chose to have surgery at Foulkes Vision since I wanted to go to a doctor that had been in the business for years and was on top of the latest tech and studies. Dr. Foulkes did not disappoint and the staff was pleasant to deal with.

The staff here are all wonderful. I was very pleased to be working with Joyce on scheduling as well as answering my questions through email. The procedure was incredibly easy and I am already encouraging family and friends to go through with LASIK. Money was no concern to me because they offer CareCredit and the option to pay it off in 12 months. The best part about the process was Dr. Foulkes instructing me on what he was doing, what it should feel like, how long it will take, as well as giving many words of encouragement, with some wicked cool music in the background. The recovery time was so quick it was hard to believe! My next day follow-up was also pleasant because of my many other questions being answered. These people care.

Dr. Foulkes is nothing but brilliant. My eyes sight were -10.00 on both eyes & my cornea was too thin for simple lasiks procedure. He performed ICL surgery to add a lens into my eyes to get my cornea thick enough & then performed lasik to fix my astigmatism. Now I am seeing better than 20/20 (20/15 left eye), what he did was nothing short of a miracle. I wish I could give him more stars, in fact I rate him 20/20 (get it). Btw he under sells & over delivers, so if he says he can get you to 20/20, he will most likely get you better than 20/20. Thank you Dr. Foulkes for giving me perfect vision, you truly are the best.

Got LASIK back in 2010 and my vision still is awesome! They are nice, treat you well, and was some of the best money I spent in my life. It was freaky during the operation but Im glad I did it.

Dr. Foulkes was actually recommended to me by my dad who had his LASIK done by Dr. Foulkes over 15 years ago and my experience has been really great. For the most part the staff there are very nice, and Dr. Foulkes especially is awesome. Hes super knowledgeable and you can tell he really cares a lot about his patients and is very passionate about his work. The whole experience was very thorough and I feel that it was reasonably priced with the special of $3500 for both eyes--I dont think I would have been willing to pay much more honestly. After my surgery Dr. Foulkes gave me his personal cell phone number to call him with any questions or concerns which I really appreciated, and it definitely put me more at ease because doctors can be so hard to get a hold of. I had some severe dryness with my eyes about a week after my surgery and called him and he made some helpful recommendations so hes very involved and available if you have any issues. Overall I would highly recommend him to anyone considering getting LASIK.

I had my Lasik surgery last week and have been very happy with results w/ better than perfect 20/15 vision. After doing extensive research on the pros/cons of Lasik, I decided on Dr. Foulkes, and am glad that I did. He was very knowledgeable regarding all details about my eyes, the equipment that he uses, and was able to answer any remaining questions that I had. Overall great surgeon, great staff, and would definitely recommend to someone considering Lasik!

I recently had LASIK here and would describe it as nothing short of a 10/10 experience; anyone in the Chicagoland area considering LASIK should go see Dr. Foulkes. Extremely helpful/friendly staff, reasonable prices, and it certainly helps that Dr. Foulkes is considered one of (if not, the) best people to use this procedure. He and Dr. Hendrickson are some of the coolest guys too. I would recommend FVI to anyone considering LASIK.Thanks!
