Livermore Barber Shop is the best barber shop in town. Neal Steward is the best barber I have ever had. Always consistently good cuts. Accommodates any changes I ask for. Versed in many styles. Highly recommend going to Livermore Barber and if you have the pleasure of booking with Neal, you will be satisfied with the work he does.

I had my first hair cut at Livermore Barber Shop on Third Street today. The business is outstanding! Very comfortable shop, friendly staff and exceptionally clean. It has been over seven months from my last haircut so it was quite a task to get me cleaned up. Steve did a fantastic job!!! I a going to make this my new Barber Shop! I highly recommend them! What a fantastic local Barber. My son and I went and we just loved our haircuts. The atmosphere during the experience was great: lively, hip, social, professional. I think it was the owner who was there and he took excellent care of all customers. I loved the complimentary beverages. I will be back. We love this place. Zack Bias is the best barber! My 5-year old has been getting his hair cut here for about a year. Zack is always super kind and does a great job with hi.. Hes the kind of barber you want... he listens to what you want, but also isnt afraid to speak up if it will not look good. My husband enjoys the beer while he waits for my son.

This was my first time going to the barbershop. I made an appointment for a beard trim, but while I was there Blake was doing a great job and I asked if he had time for a haircut as well. He was more than accommodating and he was great with my 7 y/o whom I brought with me. Had a great beard trim, good haircut, and great conversation/banter while I was there. The beard trim wasnt exactly what I was hoping for, but I got a great trim without really explaining what I was looking to have done. The combo haircut and trim was a bit on the pricey side since I keep a shaved head, but I really enjoyed my experience. I will definitely be back again for a trim, but will pass on the haircut.I highly recommend Blake if you are looking for an enjoyable experience at the shop.

Top notch haircuts and barber services. Incredibly welcoming and cheery staff. I always end up having a great time to merely go get my hair cut. Also offers beard lineups. One of my favorite parts is that all haircuts come with a hot towel on your face at the end.

I’ve been here about 5 times for hair cuts from multiple barbers. Each time I showed up a few minutes early and still had to wait about 15-20 minutes for them to be finished with the previous client. I never had any issues with this, until...The one time I showed up 10 minutes late, they refused to serve me because I was not on time. They refused to be flexible and stressed that 45 minutes is required for a haircut (even though every other time it only took 30, and even if it did take longer than 45 minutes they have no issues making the next client wait for 15-20 minutes).So now my barber is going to sit around for 30 minutes and not make money because it would be “too difficult” to do in 35 minutes what they usually do in 45. At some point, common sense should just tell you that some flexibility would be better for both the barber and the client so both get what they want.Overall, the haircuts are pretty decent. They offer some beer that tends to taste watered-down, and they’re usually good when they cut hair. But their timing and flexibility could use some major improvement.I don’t know of any other barbershop or salon that would force a strict 45 minute requirement like this. Ask any good barber or hair stylist and they’ll tell you they can make something work in 35 minutes instead of 45 if needed.EDIT:Owner reached out to me to apologize and admitted there should have been more flexibility. I was offered a free hair cut with the barber of my choosing. (No longer live in the area so I couldn’t accept) It’s evident they do care greatly about their customers and the quality of their service. I would still highly recommend going here, as the people are generally very friendly and care about their product. Just make sure you’re on time or be willing to argue your point if you’re a few minutes late.

Cool trendy place. Very nice crew. They even offer you a beer while you wait. Pricey than usual chains but I loved the work they did. All crew is knowledgeable. Real barber experience in these days is hard to come.

So glad they opened this place. Everyone there is awesome. You always feel welcome, they have beer and sports on. Barbers are top notch and spend a little more time getting your hair looking on point. Definitely worth ponying up a little more than the cost of a super cut.

I would give them a three, except this: I walked in, asked if they take walk-ins and they said I could wait but that all barbers were booked through end of day. Exterior signage doesnt list hours or expectations of appointment. They did try to schedule me twice for an appointment tomorrow but that wouldnt work for me so I had to politely decline. They didnt make it clear that they prefer appointments and I didnt really get the hint until, left to my own I started browsing the reviews and other nearby barbers... Thats when I noticed others have complained they dont take walk-ins. And so, I think they should have been a little more forthcoming about that, or posted signage on the exterior or something.

Martìn is one of the best barbers I have ever met... Go check this place out. All the barbers rock and you get free beer or whisky while you wait. So arrive early, have a drink and enjoy the vibe. Yeeee!

Great spot for a cut with free beer while you wait.I booked an appointment very easily online and found something that fit my schedule. I was informed by a very apologetic Jerome that my original stylist(who I chose solely on reviews) had to leave early due to an emergency. I was set up with Zach who did a great job deciphering my vague request and provided me with an excellent haircut.I will definitely return

Since I moved to Livermore 9 months ago I have been going here. Staff is cool and the cuts are good. They always do a good job on my beard. Recommend to any guy who has a beard and you need it cleaned/styled up.

If you enjoy being mocked and ridiculed for who you are and what you wear, then step into this garbage can of a place. The minute I entered an employee stood up and laughed at my attire and yelled out to everyone inside. Look at this guyI had an appointment which I booked a month prior.I was 5-10 minutes late due to traffic/accident and they said I was a no show. Even though I confirmed I would be there a day before the appointment.The barber who was a 14 year old punky Brewster gave me attitude and barley wanted to seat me due to my tardiness.I was offered a beer and I accepted but the beer never came. I watched other people get their free beer but none for me.While in the chair the same mocker came up to me again and ridiculed me for my appearance.All I did was smile. Inside I knew I would never return to this place. The mocker can watch his back on the streets. Hell get his.

Very unprofessional. The barbers were playing tag and slapping each other around, drinking on the job, not paying attention to their customers. The time to get a regular hair trim took more than an hour. I heard good things about this barber shop and was very disappointed.

I’m not sure who cut my hair but he was in the chair furthest away from the foot but I told him to give my a line up and take a quarter inch off the top but he ended up taking over 3 inches off the top and Messing up the fade maybe if your employees would stop drinking and talking to their friends on the job it would have been better haircut

Music beer soda conversation all while someone pays very close attention to making you look good. My barber (Blake?) took me from a 6 to a 7. (His words lol). I decided to try this barber shop since they seemed to have a small hometown feel. I did not book an appointment (I was unaware it was mandatory), so I decided to try and walk-in and get a cut for my son. When I walked in the place was very clean and neat looking inside, but since I did not have an appointment the receptionist told me, in a very condescending tone, that they could not get my son in. If you are not treated well was you walk into the front door then it makes you think twice about coming back with an appointment.I really was hoping that the customer service was better and truly made you feel welcome. I was very disappointed because I really wanted a place to call my barbershop. Also, sometimes exceptions should be made to new customers who are unaware that making an appointment at a barbershop is mandatory! The small hometown feel of a local barbershop is missing from this place.

What an experience! I came in from Texas and had one of the best haircuts of my life. The staff was friendly and extremely welcoming. They made it a point to get to know me on a first name basis. My brother-in-law has been ranting and raving about this place and they did a great haircut on myself, him and my nephew. I am normally a solid 10 but they broke the scale and I walked out of there a cool 100! 5 out of 5 Stars would highly recommend to a friend! Thank you guys for the awesome cut and beard trim and I will be back next time I am home!

Great spot with an awesome staff. Ive been here three times now and the service is consistently good and the haircuts great. From what I can tell they are Appt Only (book on their website) but if youre lucky you may catch a cancellation slot. Arrive 15 mins early for a nice cold Altamont beer! (included with your haircut) Everyone here is always joking and in a lively mood just like a barber shop should be.

Cant say anything bad about free beer while you wait and cutting your hair. The staff is friendly and courteous, and theyll cut your hair however you ask.
