This store has to be one of my all time favorite places to be! Great staff, friendly community, and tons of awesome products. Their prices are totally reasonable, too! Any game fan is going to feel right at home here. As a Magic: the Gathering player, I’m always happy to visit.

Absolutely love coming here. They get a great variety of mtg packs and Pokémon packs. The singles they offer are also very reasonably priced. My only complaint is the booster box prices are a little bit higher then compared online (typically around $20-$40 more) so I order those online which sucks not supporting them. But otherwise a great LGS to be at. The staff is usually very friendly(unless really busy but I completely understand). I would definitely buy your singles from here or a number of other single packs and miniatures as well.They also get foreign packs in from time to time and those are always a hit for me. Would recommend this store to anyone/everyone even if your starting off or just collecting. They cater to the player and the collector both.

I cant recommend Mythic Games enough. If youre on Google looking for nearby card shops, consider your search over. Mythic Games is a great place to play, hosting multiple events each week (even multiple events at once some nights) with great prize support. In all the times Ive played, the staff and my fellow players have been incredible. People are honest here (I know, because I left a box of cards on accident and got it back next day by reaching out on their Discord). Mythic Games gets a lot of rare singles and sealed product in stock so every visit is exciting. Prices are fair, both when buying and selling. Ive lost track of how many times Ive looked through their cases and asked to buy a card, then been surprised at the register when they mark the price down because of condition - and they definitely err on the side of the buyer when it comes to that. As a player first and collector second, I really appreciate that aspect.And of course, Mythic Games sells a lot of other products including other TCG games, board games, and miniatures. Whether youre looking to shop or play, youll be glad you went to Mythic Games.

There are several local game stores on the metro Denver area, and I’ve visited them all. Mythic Games is my favorite by a long shot! The owners, a husband and wife team, are extremely friendly and knowledgeable, always ready with a recommendation for the type of game you’re looking for. The interior space is large, uncluttered, and comfortably laid out. Their selection of games is unmatched, and all at extremely competitive prices. Their D&D product is consistently 10+% off list price, which is what your local big-box book store would charge. Their Magic and other card game singles are priced exactly at online market average, with live updates done before every sale, and they offer 50% this amount in trade-in value for your singles. In non-pandemic times, Mythic runs upwards of 10 events per week for Magic, Pokémon, D&D, and other games, and the community is very friendly and welcoming. All of this works together to form the Denver-area game shop where I most look forward to spending my time and money. Cheers!

The staff is outstanding just have some patience if its busy, they will let you know all information about MTG they possibly can, prices are good to great depending on what you have. They do take trade ins, and depending on the cards yes they will pay you out or you can take store credit witch is going to be a better option. They host MTG gathering nights too just ask the cashier. ps their library is extensive.

You know, this place is always friendly. A life line oddly enough through the pandemic even if it was curbside pick up during the worst of it. Thanks Mike & Shannan; you guys and crew are always great. They have a great selection of board games, MTG stock (acquired plenty of it) and knowledge is always strong, and Ive even been working up the nerve to try and get back into D&D after decades away by picking up some source books there. Now we gotta pop in once a weekend just cause. Cant wait for the tables to open up fully!

Love mythic games for many reasons like how the people help you if your confused on a game or need something specific or if you need help knowing what came out, how something works or how to play the game they got you, they also have a great game selection to choose from not like alot of places these days plus they have tables where you can play mtg, dnd and ect. the only compliant i would have to say is that its a little pricy but they do have sales sometimes. so i give it 5 stars because 1. workers know there stuff and 2. great selection of games and 3. a good community.

Hands down the best store for games in the entire Denver area. Amazing selection of tabletop games and Magic: the Gathering. Owners and staff are friendly, knowledgable, and incredibly helpful. The play space is cleaner than any other. The trash and recycling bins at each table help keep it so. I only wish I lived closer but the drive is always worth it.

I have been coming to this shop just under a year now and they have the best local collection of 93/94 cards.The staff that the owner has selected are top notch. They are polite, helpful and have remembered me despite not having spent much time in the shop playing.Great experience all around, especially given many younger employees in jobs like this are still learning how to communicate with people.In short, clean/safe shop, great selection and awesome staff.

My friends and I love shopping at Mythic Games! We are avid board gamers and have nothing but positive things to say. The selection at Mythic is unlike anything I have seen in the Denver area. Im a semi-regular customer here and everytime I have been impressed. Im a Warhammer 40k player and a few months back I was so happy to see they carry it now! They have a good selection and I have been able to find what I need. They have really knowledgeable staff. Siprein has been able to give me really useful painting advice. They have a amazing collection of board games and I was able to find several ones to play with my girlfriend and her family thanks to Matt. I always refer my friends here as I know the staff will take the time to help their customers. A great place to have nerdy conversations.

Lovely store for Magic the Gathering and board games. Been coming here with my friends recently. Players are pretty chill for MtG, its a similar level of friendliness that youll find at Enchanted Grounds. The staff is very helpful and friendly as well. Will definitely be coming here often, its a great LGS with a good selection of singles, sealed, and supplies. They also have quite a few people playing Warhammer 40k and such on the regular.

This is my favorite store in the area. My friend and his wife started playing magic and I got a deck to be relevant and every other store I went to the people sucked. I was just going to order stuff online until my friend told me about this store. This is where I will go in the future

Decent store overall but I messaged ahaed and had them gather up a bunch of mtg singles and I knew I should have check everything before leaving (I live about an hour from here so its a bit of a trip to come here for me) but when I got home I found one of the foils was heavily bent to the point I consider it damaged and none playable as well as 2 Japanese cards Im unable to use. They werent very expensive cards but it is frustrating knowing they never bothered to consult me about the cards and now I have to drive to a different shop to get the cards I already bought from these guys. If you live close to here its pry a decent option but for me it really isnt worth going out of your way to visit these guys.

I have visited several MTG establishments recently for various reasons and although some were staffed with professional and friendly employees, etc., none were as friendly and welcoming as Mythic. Ian, ( the employee who assisted me during my visit ) was incredibly knowledgeable and courteous. He stopped what he was doing in order to assist me and although he was working on an incredibly time consuming task, he put it aside to make sure I was taken care of. I would definitely recommend this store to anyone looking for great service, great products in a very welcoming atmosphere.

This is one of my Fiancees and Is top three favorite gaming stores in the Denver Metro area. They have pretty much any card, minitures, board or table top game you can thing of! Along with of course all the accessories you could ever want and more!We frequently come here from MTG or Star Wars Armada. Infact, I got my absolute favorite set of confetti dice and deck box here along with some amazing card sleeves. New or Veteran players are always welcome here!

Terrible people. They drive over to the target across the road from them and buy all their stock to then sell at twice the price. I know because I saw a car with the logo of the building next to them (which they own too).

Solid store that has a really good selection of games across the spectrum regardless what genre youre into. But more importantly it is a welcoming place to actually play games - something I enjoyed pre-COVID and will enjoy post-COVID. Is it as cheap as Amazon or big box stores? Often not is more the case, but can you play your games at those places? Nope. The term Friendly Local Game Store (FLGS) exists for a reason and Mythic certainly fits that bill for me.

What a great local game store! Amazing selection of board games -- vastly larger than any other stores Ive visited in the Denver area. They carry some rare ones, including Lord of the Rings LCG packs and expansions that are hard to find. Nice lot of X-wing, Legion, and Armada for Star Wars fans; Ive played X-wing there for two years (before the pandemic hit) and am looking forward to being back. They also have a great selection of minifigs and paints, D&D books, dice, mats, maps, you name it. I will say it again -- best selection of board games around.

New to the area and wanted to pick up a couple games for myself and my partners as weve literally exhausted everything of interest in streaming services due to Covid. I had done a little research before on things I was interested in and was pleasantly surprised by staff that knew way more than an internet search could bring up. Met the owners, Mike and Shannon (I hope I remembered that right) and they both went above and beyond making me feel welcome and comfortable asking a bunch of questions. The selection is incredible! Even after answering my questions I still spent another 20 minutes just looking at everything.There was no comic book guy attitude at all! Also really appreciate the conversation as this unique time we find ourselves in has left us all a bit cut off from any interaction.

They were pretty busy and I didnt make a point to go and ask for help, but help picking out some fun new board games wouldve been appreciated.

This place is freaking awesome

Very polite and knowledgeable staff. I went in today to pick up some penny sleeves and to my surprise they were stocking the shelves with shining fates ETB. I rushed to buy a box for my nephew but it was priced around $125. I thought that was pretty steep but I haven’t seen a box in weeks. Afterwards I stopped by the Target down the street and I was utterly shocked to see their shelves being stocked with more Pokémon cards. They also had Shining Fates ETB which were $49.90! Also I just learned eBay sells them for $70. Honestly, I understand Mythic is a small shop so they need to surcharge their items but maybe not over 100%. I wish I could return the item. But overall nice store, friendly staff. But maybe not the best place to purchase Pokémon cards during a card shortage.

Awesome little game store. Well, it looks little but has thousands of games inside. My interests are tabletop RPGs. Great selection and great prices, too. They even have D&D and Pathfinder pre-painted singles (pictured). Very friendly & helpful staff & patrons. I had difficulty trying to find a parking spot at 5pm but it was because of the fitness gym nearby. I went on a Tuesday for their first ever Pathfinder 2e game. I really enjoyed spending time there and will return for more Pathfinder Society games. It was pretty crowded with MtG players so it was quite noisy, though. They do have canned soda & microwave snacks. I do not know what their outside food policy is, but, Id like to know because there are several decent to-go places nearby. Thanks for a great time!

All I can say is you guys lost a potential customer. Purchased a Champions Path ETB today. It was marked up by $35. I could understand $10 or even $20 but this wasnt okay. When I asked if you guys could lower the price a bit I was told you cant find them any cheaper than this. False. Last night I couldve purchased one for $84 shipping included. (But I decided to support local business instead) After tax, your ETB was $90.I understand you are running a business but trying to make a quick buck off of your customers is very short sighted and not cool.

Black Gold is my go to shop for cards, competition, and casual play. The staff is awesome, Rob is hilarious and extremely knowledgeable. Sam and Ethan are both extremely helpful and nice. The community of players are kind and receptive to new faces/players. The weekly tournaments always have a good turn out, FNM is always packed with a huge turn out for Standard, Modern, and Drafting. Plus it’s one of the only shops I’ve been to that lets you bring outside food and drink in!

The best LGS in the area!

This store seems to deal in a lot if trading cards, like Magic the Gathering. They have a lot of table to play at. They also had some puppies in the shop, which was just great! I went to see if they carried board games, which they do. It has been maybe just this year they started board games, but I love it. They also have a few shelves of demo board games, if you want to try them out. Remember its a good idea when hanging out at a game store to at least buy something.

Shady collectible store. I called looking for an out of print item to see if they had it there. They said they had it I told the guy I was in my way. I get to the store literally 20 minutes later and the sales person says someone bought it 30 minutes ago. I guarantee the pulled it off the shelves to resell. Enjoy the tip on the markup. For starters if you are looking for a MTG shop look no further. This is it.My home is a 20 min drive from this shop and its always worth the drive. Ive been to many shops and this one has the best layout and is best at displaying price.I have noticed that when the staff is busy, the whole dynamic can change and you may be overlooked or even just treated like your window shopping and asked to step aside. I play board games regularly here about once a week. The remodel has really opened up the store and everything is organized, nice and clean. I dont play MTG, but know many who do. Mike the owner is extremely knowledgeable and Ive seen him rattle off many different card text from memory! Great place to shop, hang out and play!

Black and Gold is easily the best hobby shop in the state. Staff is most knowledgeable regarding anything you might have to ask and provide great input for deck ideas or suggestions. The magic community can appreciate when a legend starts their own store.

I love this place! Big remodel since I last visited. Its huge and has tons of board games and you can get your fill of Magic the Gathering! Tournaments, draft, standard and sealed.

Although I do admit that I used to recommend this store to all of my friends and called it the best magic store in Colorado, the customer service in this store has plummeted. I have gone into the store 3 times now to buy product, and all three times I wasnt even acknowledged. The experience has been very frustrating, and the only reason I didnt leave is because of their lower prices. Although now, I have realized that Id rather pay more at other stores, who at least say hi to me. My review of the store used to be a five, and Ill gladly change it back when I have a good customer service experience.

Best Mtg and CCG store in the Denver metro area. Constantly hosting tournaments and pre-release events. Knowledgeable staff with great stock of singles, packs, boxes, and Dragon Shields. Also the best place for Mtg singles, as they have all of their cards organized and the customer doesnt have to sift through boxes and binders, if you just hand them your list, they will pull and price it. This is a true luxury, and a rarity in the business.
