Great food in an old fashioned diner. A short walk from the covered bridge. Hand painted mural around the back dining room. I wanted to try their famous pancakes and able to order just one with a side of ham and local maple syrup added for additional $.99. my beloved ordered liver and onions topped with bacon. He enjoyed every bite.
The coziest, friendliest diner you could ask for in the cutest small town in northern New Hampshire. Stopped in for dinner on Indigenous Peoples Day weekend along with the other seemingly 10000 leaf peepers up here for the fall holiday. They got us a booth right away though and the service was prompt and kind. I got a perfect french onion soup and the small curly fries which were plenty enough that i felt no qualms about getting the small instead of the large! My friends got the turkey dinner and pasta with sauce and enjoyed those as well - classic diner fare. Lots of good diner food, no frills, just delicious. Well be back again soon!
Littleton Diner is just what you would expect from a traditional diner. They serve breakfast all day, lunch and dinner. Soups, salad, sandwiches, burgers and homemade dinners like meatloaf and turkey dinner with the fixins. They have daily specials and lots of desserts as well. You can sit in the dining room, choose a booth by the window or sit at the counter . The diner is typically a bustling place. It is located right on Main St and an easy walk from just about anywhere near Main Street.
This wonderful place has the potential to be a 5 star. The food was served hot, and it was excellent. Though it was awfully busy the day I went in it was on a Tuesday, they were still very friendly. Keep in mind that when a place is swamped the servers can appear distracted, or at worse rude . The negative is not entirely the fault of the establishment. The parking is atrocious as its located downtown near on a main thorough fare. When its busy it gets really crowded as its a small diner. If you can look past these negatives the food and service is well worth it. As I mentioned it deserves a 5, but I like to do honest reviews. I will mention if a place deserves less. This is not one of those.
I love a good diner. What’s not to love? Especially when they are as great as this one. Two mornings in a row my family and I enjoyed great breakfasts as we socked away energy for a long day of hiking. I highly recommend their corned beef hash and get the grilled English muffin. Those nooks and crannies caramelized to perfection. Service was fast and friendly. And for my gluten intolerant daughter-no problem whatsoever to switch out toast for fruit.
Delicious food - great friendly service all at very low cost for breakfast - lunch and dinner. I highly recommend this place for any meal. Their specials are a must see every time. I have been going here for over 25 years and have rarely been disappointed. I will always be a customer. This place is a gem with its historical structure and history pictures hanging every where inside. One of little greatest places to eat. Since the beginning of January 16, 1930 (the Diners construction start date) people have been excited to see it come and prosper into a thriving success.
Such a wholesome and friendly experience. The diner gives off those adorable small town vibes. The staff was friendly and cheerful and breakfast was delicious and served fast. I would highly recommend! Will definitely come back the next time we visit the area!
Nothing to write home about. Coffee was very weak and watery. Pancakes were bland. They did have good crispy bacon and gave 4 pieces with the Hungryman breakfast. Best part was listening to the old townies at the table next to us with all their stories.
The food was surprisingly good. We had excellent breakfast food, and decent service, which was actually unexpected because the place looks like a total dump inside. It is also a bonus that they serve real maple syrup!
A very nice cute little local place to have a meal. The staff is so nice and the food is so so good! I was impressed by how much they offered on their menu; there was a pretty wide selection and they have breakfast all day. I had the grilled cheese and it was very good. Note that they are cash-only so make sure you have some money (but they do have an ATM). I would highly recommend to anyone coming through the area.
Had a good breakfast there. Everything was good, good food, good waitress and great place. They were short staff which kinda stunk but its like that everywhere.
Very busy place. Service was good despite being understaffed, Clam chowder was good. Fried scallops and shrimp bland with small portions for price.
Cozy diner with excellent food. The homemade hash is amazing and a must have.
We were on a family history tour and decided to eat at the Diner Mom worked in when living there in Littleton. Mom would be 90 this year which also tells you how good the Diner was. Still open, food is still great, and the people are awesome.
We were out of towers but the hospitality was warm & friendly. Food was delicious
Average diner. My prime rib sandwich was good. My wife enjoyed the grilled cheese, but the French Onion soup could use some work. Cost about $25 for the two of us.
Staff was pleasant and interactive. We ate breakfast hear, basic egg breakfasts so nothing super special to critique, but their Canadian bacon was true ham steaks and not strips like others try to push off on you. Did notice that the phone orders that came in while there all came with a cup of coffee, which I thought was unique and different.
Ive been here many times and definitely highly recommend to those visiting Littleton. The inside is super interesting and unique. The pancakes and waffles are fluffy and flavorful. Service has always been fantastic, and everything is very affordable.
While visiting Littleton for the day, I tried this restaurant and loved it! Its an old-fashioned diner with a good-sized menu and great prices. The food was great and the portions were big. The entrees come with a salad or soup included which is nice. The staff was friendly and accomodating. Its a little small, but that adds to its charm. They accept cash only and they have an ATM inside.
Great breakfast. It has been a favorite for over 50 years.
The service and food was top notch. With being as busy as they were I was pleasantly surprised at how attentive the staff was.
Great food really good corned beef hash. Cash only but theres an ATM
Great place to eat however they only accept cash
Love the omlets here. Great waffles too
I’m writing this as I sit here devouring the #3 eggs, corn beef hash with a grilled English muffin and a side order of baked beans. I couldn’t wait to post!!! Hands down one of the best corn beef hash ever!!! Frankly it was all delicious, but that corn beef was the star! Last day went back here for breakfast, was not disappointed! We got the hash & cheese omelets (comes with hash browns & toast) this time with a side Belgian Waffle with blueberries... to die for!!! Service wonderful as always!!! This will be a permanent spot for us to hit when we’re up here!
Great, homey feeling. Very well priced and great tasting food, service was great! Cash only, and there is an ATM on site.
Dinner very busy😊. That got you in as quickly as they could. Very nice people. Down to earth. Food was very good. Great place😊
The hubby and I went out on a date for what seemed like the 1st time in forever and it was fast, the food was delicious and the waitress was super friendly. She was attentive and engaging. Highly recommend
Cash only. Good food. Convenient location in town.
Corned beef hash is *really* good here and the staff are always really friendly. Great place for breakfast.
My husbands prime rib was juicy, tender and a large portion. Wishes the aujus was on the side and not all over the plate. My cheese omelet was good, but they cannot serve limp bacon because its precooked. That was a complete disappointment. Otherwise, good portions with fair prices...worth the trip!
Clam chowder was very good,Waiter friendly, service fairly quick
I ordered so much food and it was good. Cheap also! Thumbs up! Waitress was awesome. Sorry cant remember names
Definitely a place to visit. The food was great. The only thing that was inconvenient is they only accept cash. So be sure to bring cash.
This was hands down the best diner i’ve ever been to. it felt like i was at home. the food is delicious & the pancakes are to die for. everything was prepared in less than 15 minutes, servers were outstanding! 11/10, wish i could give this place 100 stars
Great food, good service and clean restaurant. The only reason I gave a 4 was that they do not accept credit cards.
Best best best breakfasts! Excellent service, fantastic food.
Loved our waiter Dennis he was just great and joined in our fun and the food was wonderful reay enjoyed our experience.
Have eaten here a number of time in the past, but the last two times have not been very good. Am going to look for a different place to eat when I visit Littleton.
The food was good, the location was good, the server, well, he must have been stressed or something, he was curt and inflexible.
The buckwheat pancakes were incredible. Get them with walnuts, whip cream and real maple syrup
Awesome! Very good food and friendly service.
Decent food. Decent price.
Good food we had Rubens with fries and split a slice of cheese cake. Servers were.all friendly and attentive.
Worth waiting to get a table!GREAT SERVICE and GREAT FOOD! I would have taken pictures of the food but it didnt last that long☺☺
Love this diner!! We visit every time were in New Hampshire!!
Eggs were amazing loved the service
Good food. But can veggies.
The food was good the waitress was great. Very polite.
The food was awesome and the staff was really nice and helpful. Full review going on our ConfectioNerds youtube channel as soon as we get home and edit it.If youre looking for diner food in Littleton or any towns even remotely close, you need to come try this!!
BLT was not so good. Bacon was cold with a rancid taste. Toast was cold and not fresh. French fries tasted of old oil. Waitress was very pleastant.
Typical small town diner. Food was average. However, we got breakfast and a show. There was definitely something going on in the kitchen and their backroom staff wasnt getting along well. A decent amount of cursing and insults were being passed between the kitchen and wait staff. Other than the tension from that, the overall experience was average.
Typical American Diner with delicious food for a very reasonable price! Really good pancakes and homemade corned beef hash!Definitely try to get a booth or place at the bar as the tables in the back are not so nice if it’s very busy.Perfect place to get a good basis for a day hike in the White Mountains 😋
Nice folks, good coffee, reassuring victuals. Perfect ❤️
Cash only..did not see the little signs. They have an atm they point too at check out. The waiter took my order wrong and clearly did not want another table and gave us no attention. Wont go back..
Great food, awesome staff and service. Would return. Eggs, waffles, bacon, etc..
Every time Im in Littleton (4 or 5 times a year) I stop in and sit down for meatloaf, mashed potatoes and a cup of homemade soup. Always something to look forward to.
Food was ok. Service was average. The waitresses did not wear masks or gloves even when handling silverware. One waitress coughed a lot, and was sniffling around food. Very concerning!
Good breakfast, make sure you bring cash or pay 2 bucks for atm
First visit. Good food and good service but I didnt experience anything that whispered 5 stars to me. Id visit again.
What a great little spot! We stopped here for lunch on our way to Maine from Montreal. The staff was super friendly, and the establishment provided that quint essential diner feel we were looking for. We asked our server what they would order if they only had the chance to come here once. We werent disappointed!
Food was excellent and service was prompt and friendly, even though it was busy. 10/10 will dine again next time Im in the area.
The food was good an the server was nice, the price of the food was good 👍
The guy serving us was kinda rude. He asked if we wanted a to go box and we kept saying no and finally we told him we didnt really like the food because the mixed veggies tasted like they were from a can and the toast for the open face sandwich wasnt even toasted. His reply was actually they were frozen so you know. Clam chowder was too salty. And apparently they are cash only and there is no signage to tell you so on the way in. The sign is on an inside wall in a place not easy to see. This place has awards that they have won posted all over, like they are desperate for approval. Topic of the Town is better.
Always great food, nice size portions and great prices.
When places say, Best Corned Beef Hash, Im automatically skeptical. This place isnt lying. Its literally the best.Everything else was spectacular too, but that hash really brought it home. This is my new spot when coming up to The White Mountains ♥️
Good Service and Food.
Got seated right away, put order in within 5 minutes and it seemed like a few minutes later our meal arrived. Great service and an awesome waitress.
Nice place, good food
This place was outstanding. The food and service was spectacular i got the tower club w/ onion rings and a bowl of the clam chowder
Really good food at reasonable prices!!
Friendly people .good food for the price. Breakfast all day
Recently had breakfast at Littleton Diner. Delicious food, great staff,a gem to find. I would highly recommend it to breakfast lovers. The pancakes were so light snd fluffy with real maple syrup🙂
So many options! Inexpensive and great service! Cash only.
Very loud environment. Food is good, server seemed less than helpful.
Good food, fast service.
Always a great time, excellent food, friendly staff, all around good place to eat.
Good food and friendly staff
Great french toast and bacon but cash only
Great food great service but cash only
Great atmosphere, home made food!
Super great place, good people, tasty coffee and amazing community. Definitely coming back for food next time. Thank you for being such an awesome business. Edit: went back for breakfast, perfect crispy bacon and eggs with a side of maple syrup which I drenched my eggs and bacon in. Super tasty.
Fresh Brewed Iced Tea, great French Onion soup, hot dog and curly fries... reasonably priced and good portions. Clam Chowder was excellent (according to my son), Club Sandwich and fries also good portion. Diner Food. Great Service. Old Rail Car Diner setting. Will visit again when were in the area.
