I always feel like I am a burden to the sales staff.I have purchesed large items, and everytime I go in, they are standoffish and seem irritated that I ask a question, or make another purchase.Despite being the closest quilting store to my house, I am going elsewhere.
I love this shop!!! So, so glad I found it. Im in Denver so its a bit of a drive, but theyre also happy to ship whatever you need. I found SO many things for my cross stitch projects! Aida cloth in every color & size I could want (plus linen & more besides), some great patterns & kits, q-snap frames, DMC & Anchor floss, beads, needles, you name it! If youre looking for anything to further your cross stitch & embroidery look no further. Im SO grateful Ive found somewhere I can bulk buy Aida cloth as well.Everyone was amazingly helpful and it really contributed to having a wonderful experience. I was nervous it would be mostly quilting with only a small needlework section and was presently surprised to see all my options! And they do so much to support the crafting community as well.I would definitely recommend stopping by to check this place out if you have even a passing interest - they will not disappoint!
I’ve gone into the creative needle on two different occasions. Both times the customer service was not a gold star rating. I’m not being negative. I was welcomed when I entered the shop. I love my hobby and I go to shops like yours for help.
This quilt store has lots of patterns, fabrics and everything that you need to make beautiful quilts. As you can see some samples of their patterns in the work pictured for the store. They have lots of patterns for different columbines which are the state flower for Colorado and a flower that I think is intricate and delicate. I would give them 5 stars for quilting supplies.I can only give them three stars for customer focus. I do not understand why the owner does not enjoy running the store more and share her obvious passion more. We watched three people walk into the store so we thought it was open, but when we walked in we were told that they were not open for five more minutes. We were allowed to shop since we were in, but is did not give me warm fuzzies. Other staff were better, and the lady working back in the fabrics section knew where everything was and was very helpful to us.Be sure to stop by here if you are a quilter, if not just to see al the unique patterns they have with a Colorado outdoor theme.
Lovely place and awesome customer service. I just bought my first sewing machine and Monica walked me through everything I needed to know to start sewing right away. Prices are great and it’s worth every penny when you have sweet kind ladies teaching you. Definitely scheduling private classes.
I was disappointed with the return/exchange policy for my sewing machine because I did not understand the terms. After I complained, it is my understanding that they started putting their return/exchange policy in writing, so at least no one else will experience the same confusion I did. Marge and the other ladies at the store are EXTREMELY knowledgeable about sewing, and have been helpful to me even after I posted an awful review while I was angry.
Wanted to support a local shop during this time, but unfortunately I experienced a very rude salesperson and highly overpriced product. The elderly saleswoman asked for my phone number when I took my fabric up to purchase. With all of the hacks and viruses out there in our cyberworld, I was not comfortable giving my phone number and she refused to ring up my purchase! Sure, I could give her a fake phone number, but what kind of business insists on a customer giving them private information? Ended up going to Joanns Fabric and had a lovely experience, and they didnt even ask for my phone number. Hmm...guess one CAN make a sale without such information.
0 Stars if I could. The store is big and the people are friendly at first. But upon leaving my girlfriends beloved Elna sewing machine that used to belong to her grandmother (I never shouldve told them that), I was told the machine would be fixed with a maximum repair cost of $200, maybe less. I was then not called for over a month, and when I called in to check on my girlfriends machine, I was informed that someone tried to call me but they did not leave any messages. Furthermore, I was informed the repair would now cost $375 or I could come pick it up. At some point in defending my position, the repair cost went up to $425. It now resides at a comfortable $405 to fix a machine I was guaranteed would not cost more than $200. Do not bring your machines here to be repaired. They run a dishonest business that tries to take advantage of customers any chance they get. Stay away from Sherry and Marge. Furthermore, she started asking me about my job and what I do in customer service and went as far as insulting me for attempting to repair the machine myself. Some fine people (sarcasm) that run this shop.
The most helpful ladies ever! I needed help putting together supplies for a gift for my wife and they were able to help figure out what I needed and get me all set up. People that gave low ratings for the speed of the check out should stick to amazon. But if you want to buy from a local store that takes the time to help this IS the place to go. People need to slow down and enjoy the conversation, I really enjoyed my visit.
I went in to buy some needles for attaching buttons to clothing. When I walked in all sound stopped and the females looked shocked to see a man in their girls club. Not friendly nor helpful. A truly sexiest shop. GREAT FOR OLD BITTIES.
Such a cute quilt shop with a large selection of fabric. They also have a huge room of sewing machines to try or demo. The staff is friendly and helpful. They do offer sewing, quilting, and embroidery classes. They carry the accuqilt go items as well. Good prices and so many items to see!
Had just what I needed and helped me find it quickly. Social distance practices are in place.
Wonderful team, they answer questions, make super fabric suggestions. Great selection of fabrics and everyday deal, but 2 yards of each fabric selection and you 20% off what a deal. They have embroidery and cross stitch items as well. Your total one stop shop.
Amazing store and people. Extraordinary selection of fabrics and books. Lots of quilts on display for inspiration. Took a beginning class and learned some great pointers. The class could have been more organized. I think the teacher was more suited to personal instruction, rather than 7-8 students. Even though its over 30 miles away, I will be back often.
I have been shopping at The Creative Needle for 30 years. I bought my first sewing machine from Marge, and also a serger and my second sewing machine. They have a vast inventory and are very helpful. Im not sure where the negative reviews come from? Having been a customer of theirs for 30 years, I have never had an experience like any of the ones mentioned in this review chain.
Fun shop, very friendly. Found a treasure called aunt beas sponge for quilters its a must. Picks up threads, etc off your quilt as you are quilting.
When I need batiks, this is where I go. The whole back wall is batik material, including a lot of low volume batiks. And true to every quilt store I love, lots of other fabrics also. Plus they sell and service Elna sewing machines. I bought one here at a great price, and have it serviced regularly.
The folks at Creative Needle havebeen incredibly helpful and kind over the last five years.
Love visiting quilt shops. So many good ideas & fabric to choose from.
Its been a long time, ok, a very long time, say 30 years, since I have done any cross stitching, and my fingers were itching to get back at it. I asked my sister of any places nearby (from where we were at the time), and she suggested Creative Needle. I am so glad she suggested the Creative Needle.I walked in and immediately felt welcomed. The shop is small, quaint, and has everything you could need to do quilting or needle work. I walked around the small shop first, and just looked at everything. My mind was thinking, If I started doing this, I could purchase that and that... you get what I mean.I found the cross stitch kit section, and started looking through all of their kits. I finally settled on one of them. I then turned the corner and found an embroidery hoop that would work. I purchased what I needed at the counter.Parking is free here, as the store is located in a large L shaped shopping area. The prices are comparable to other craft type shops, but at the Creative Needle, they also offer classes, and will answer your questions as well. While there, the phone rang 2-3 times, and the staff promptly answered questions, giving thorough answers, over the telephone. Excellent customer service. I am sure their customers keep going back, as I dont see why they wouldnt. Thanks, Creative Needle, for getting me back into doing cross stitch.
Wonderful quilt store. Fabulous batik selection. Kind and helpful staff. If you are new to the area or visiting this is definitely worth the trip.
Excellent place, everything is for sewing. And the attendants are very attentive.
Extraordinary store. Havent been in a while since Marge taught me my first serger so I was excited that they had expanded. Batiks galore, sewing machines galore and of course Accuquilt. Thank you so much ladies I really enjoyed my visit and now that I see your fully stocked quilting fabrics Ill definitely be back.
I bought an Elna 720 and took it eight hours away to my home in Dolores, Colorado. Marge and her husband have always answered my questions and helped me solve my problems by phone. Three years after I bought a free motion foot, I tried to use it and it was the wrong shank. I called Marge and although the store had closed, she looked up my purchase and sent me the right foot. Another time I had wanted to make a quilt like one she had done in black and white but I wanted it in red and white. Her staff picked the materials and sent them to me. I love my Elna and appreciate the help I have been given. And one other thing - two years after I bought my machine Marge sat down with me and explained how to use everything on my machine. Another staff member used my machine and worked out the thread, needle, and tension issues for free motion quilting., and Thank you staff at Creative Needle!
Slow Service! I took in a quilt to be machine quilted and the service took over a year. I dont know if they are overbooked or their employees are overworked but they need to deliver on time and faster to their customers.
Holy patch a hole, Batman!+ quilting, embroidery & sewing supplies+ small hand picked selection of good+ locally owned & operated for 60+ years+ rentable sewing machines- staff is helpful; some can be a bit crass- slightly cluttered but worth it for the selection
The lady was not at all nice. A product that I was going to purchase for a friend was there. This was going to be a group gift so I decided to take a photo of it to show the group and they loved it. Instead of her asking me am I purchasing it she stated in a harsh tone I cant take the picture and had to leave. That is not how you conduct business at all.
Was so embarrassed when I took my sewing machine in for servicing. IWas practically chewed out for not bringing my machine in sooner. Well Im poor and a friend offered to pay for it. Maybe they are just to rich for my blood. It was rude and embrassing since they didnt bother to lower their voices. I wont go back in there again. Then a puppy that had very sharp teeth running all over, getting in my sewing machine case. I dont like dog hair all over. This is suppose to be a sewing business, not a kennel.
Not bad. Lots of Aida cloth selection which is great. The ladies were friendly and helpful.
Great batiks, machine counted x stitch and more
Very friendly. Good selection. Slow on register.
Staff friendly and helpful. Willing to order out of stock items I needed.
Excellent quilting shop.
Helpful, friendly staff! Great fabric selections as well!
Sweet shop and see that they have expanded. Am anxious to take some classes.
A nice place to buy a quilt needles
Great place with experienced help and a great inventory.
A real Disneyland for quilters ... fun, fun, fun.
Selection is incredible!!
They have expanded and OMG so many choices in a rainbo of colored materials!
Love it! Great selection & friendly staff.
Lots of fabric and other fun stuff
Best fabrics in town. Knowledgeable staff.
There was a dog in the middle of the store and barking at and freaking out my kid. A dog in a fabric store seems a little iffy since some people have allergies.
Wife enjoyed the selection of fabrics.
Wonderful people with creative minds!
As always friendly staff
The best quilt shop around!!
Great fabric store
Amazing place
Lots of fabric and goodies.
Lots of product to choose from!
