They worked VERY quickly to fix the issues with my Chevy. The work was finished within 24 hours. They were respectful enough to call before doing the work after the diagnosis. I was greeted warmly, fully engaged with eye contact, and a handshake upon leaving with my fixed vehicle. It has been a week since getting my vehicle back and everything is working smoothly. I’m not going anywhere else for repairs unless Hartman cannot complete the fix. Highly satisfied customer.

They always solve my car problems and are very thorough. Fast too. I trust them whether its repairs or something I hadnt yet noticed but my car did! They do point out what should be done and what will eventually need to be done, but are not high pressure. Recommend them.

These guys rock. I brought them my 06 4Runner because it was making several odd noises while driving. I initially brought it to the Toyota dealership on Broadway, but they were unable to find anything. The Hartman crew was able to accurately and quickly diagnose all of the cars issues and explain those issues to me in terms I could understand. We’ve been looking for a good mechanic for our vehicles for a while now and I think we finally found them. When the window motor on our truck quit working I called to see if they could fix it. We were able to bring it in that same evening and they had it back to us by the next afternoon. Communication with Gerry was also great throughout the entire process. He was upfront with us about price and there were no surprise add-on costs like we’ve had in the past with other mechanics. We will definitely be bringing our vehicles back.

Gerry and his staff have serviced 3 of my vehicles over time and they have a helpful attitude especially Gerry. No scare tactics just what should be done and what can be postponed. Detailed records are kept so I can see what has been done as my files can be less than reliable.

I had taken my car to the dealership twice and two other mechanics, none of who actually addressed the heart of the problem but all found parts to replace and charged lots of money. At Hartman automotive they actually took the time to do proper diagnostics, found the problem and fixed it! I am so thankful.

Highly recommended! I have had extensive repair work done and they are awesome! Auto repair shop that has been around for a long time and the owner and the mechanics are very knowledgeable! Jerry is a great person to deal with also! My wife even knitted him a pair of wool socks! They are very honest and they are experienced. I wish there were more auto repair shops like this one!

Gerry does things the right way. He is thorough in the explanation of what needs to be done. I feel he is very honest and when I suggested a few parts that I though needed replacement Gerry actually said that they still had quite a bit of life in them. I took my husband’s somewhat neglected Nissan in for maintenance and expected it to need work. Gerry was extremely thorough in his review on the headlight to taillight inspection he performed and informed me of systems that were in great shape, would need attention down the road, or needed immediate repair. Gerry has the best communication skills of any auto mechanic I’ve ever spoken with and, after he clearly explained the problems and rationale for fixing them, I felt I could trust his recommendations. The Nissan is driving excellently and I think I’ve found our new mechanic!

Gerry and his mechanics are thorough. We have an older vehicle and one of the door sensors was not working properly. They could not find the part so they cleaned it up and it is working great now. I would highly recommend Hartman Automotive.

Jerry Hartman and his team are extremely knowledgeable about their work and make communication with their customers a priority about the specific repairs needed. Their rates are very fair and often much lower than dealerships for the same maintenance. I have been using Hartman for my maintenance and repairs for nearly 15 years and I have never had a problem with their service.

I have a 2001 Ford F150 that is my baby. I needed to get the A/C repaired. I took the truck to Gerry and Skip to get it fixed. Gerry gave me an estimate and then Skip fixed the A/C in less time than expected AND under budget! Now I should be all set for the hot summer ahead. I am very pleased to find a mechanic in the neighborhood that I can trust. I will be returning to Hartman Automotive anytime I need service in the future.

I went here for the 1st (and only) time in a pinch because my car was having difficulty starting, they opened very early, and had good reviews. The staff was nice and it seems like they do a good job, but holy cow, what high prices!!! I was quoted about $50 each to replace a rear tail light and a rear license light, which of course I did not do. That is absurd! How many people have you taken advantage of that didnt know any better? How can a mechanic like this be trusted for anything? I was so put off I wanted to give 1 star, but they at least did their due diligence on my car so that bumped them to 2 stars.

Have been using Hartman Auto going on four years; have had 4 different vehicles worked on; always a candid estimate of repairs and work needed; NO surprises! I have worked on my vehicles for over 30 years but prefer Jerry and his team to do the repairs as age has diminished my ability; Jerry has no problem when I ask questions; he calls me if an item needs attention; his team will not repair without my okay. Again no surprises; in addition, knowing I have experience in car repair, they volunteer to show me the faulty removed items! Not many shops do that! So for me to read the FEW negative comments, all I can say is you folks did not go to the same shop; no need to get personal on Jerry; take your repair somewhere else and pay accordingly; I will gladly stay with Jerry and team!

Honest, hard working, fair pricing, automotive repair! Ive been a regular (and at times, too regular) customer of Jerry Hartmans for almost 20 years- several vehicles later, and I still very much rely on, and trust, his personal diagnosis, estimates and advice! Of course every repair cannot go like clockwork, but Jerry has always been quick to determine the challenge, and then affect the solution.... always to my personal requirements and level of expectation. Cant say enough good comments about Hartman, except to say, Ive been to all the chain repair shops, dealer shops, etc. and have without question or hesitation, determined to never try them again. I have been using Hartman Automotive for 19 years and will never go anywhere else! I call and he works me in with no problems. Last fall I drove up with my husband and children in the car in a panic, the car was overheating, and he drove all of us home and had the car back to me the next afternoon. The estimates are always to the penny and he is very good at explaining what is wrong with my Jeep. He has been servicing this auto since I purchased it new! Gerry has done all of the repairs on my 2000 Ford Focus that I havent done myself. Im a mechanical engineer and have worked on my own cars up until recently. He is not the cheapest, but his prices are fair and he has always done good work. He will always clearly outline the problem possible solutions and estimated price, which is always correct. Highly recommend.

I have taken my vehicles to Hartman for over 35 yrs. I live across the city and still only take my vehicles to Hartman. Its worth the drive. Gerry will call you with an estimate and its right on the money every time. The repairs are done when he says theyll be done. I have never had an issue with a repair done at Hartman and after 35 yrs, that says a lot. Thoughtful, caring, and honest are all traits that come naturally to Gerry. I wont take my vehicles anywhere else.

I have brought my vehicles to Hartman Automotive exclusively for over five years. Estimates are always accurate, prices are reasonable, and the mechanics do a great job. They also dont try to fix anything that doesnt need repair.

Called and asked for a 2nd opinion but Gerry said that was a waste of his time. Guess he is not interested in working with folks who have identified the problem but want to shop around for the solution. Apparently capitalism doesnt work for him! All other garages where very receptive to giving a second opinion. Dont waste his or your time.

My parents used this company for years before I was even around, and now I am moved out and use them as well. The mechanics are honest, straightforward, hardworking, and best of all, they look out for other things as they are fixing your vehicle, they keep an eye out for anything that is out of the ordinary.
