Had a wonderful experience. Amazing burgers, so good I got three! It was hard to choose just one. So if your uncertain about a burger Star and Strips are a way to go. Environment was totally inviting. Real milkshakes are great addition! Staff always had a smile!! We live over 200 miles away, but well be back soon!!!
I was so excited to try Nitro Burger has it’s been around for quite awhile. I’ve always wondered why the parking lot is always empty and today still had me wondering why. The greeting was great, food was good, but the menu seemed empty for a burger specialty restaurant. 6 burgers and no other options? The shake list was really impressive though! Cute decor but modernized for the 1950s theme they were going for.
The burgers are delicious and huge. Sweet potato fries are a must. Will have to save room for a shake or float with their homemade icecream next time.

Its a shame to give a bad review because this place looks kinda neat but everything about the food was weird and it felt like this must be what prison food tastes like. The worst part has to be the patty itself.. You can even see in other peoples pictures on here that theyre the driest things on earth and burnt to a crisp. I dont even know how you can make a patty so dry, Ive had burnt burgers that were more juicy than these so it leads me to believe that theyre using the lowest quality hamburger meat they cant find and not cooking it well. On top of this, every thing you get has some weird aspect to it. You cant get normal ketchup, it has some gross spice to it, I got a ranch for my tots and it was literally as thick as sour cream (you could tip the little tub of it upside down and it seriously would not spill out) and it was totally bland and had no ranch flavor at all so it was odd.. You cant get a cup of water, you have to buy a bottle of water, and bottles of soda.... I saw some people play a few songs on the jukebox and it literally cut the songs that they paid for short and they were confused lol. The decor was kinda cool but then half of the place looks like a flea market.. Theres like randomly some flea market living room set in the middle of the place and cardboard cutouts of movie characters for some reason. then half of the building is closed off and has a bunch of storage stuff.. The service at mcdonalds is better than this place and the food as well, which I never thought I would say about any restaurant... It shouldnt be this hard to make a burger taste decent, I couldnt even finish half of it because it was so weird...
Very unique ginormous burgers! Love the originality and uniqueness of the place. I ordered the Stars and Stripes with sweet potato fries. Come hungry for some fresh quality ingredients. Dining room was chilly and they dont have fountain drinks otherwise five stars. Hopefully they will read this and upgrade to a fountain machine. They could double the price of the drinks and cut there input cost. Drinks should be your most profitable item on the menu.

The Westery-style burger checked all the boxes.The BadThe bean burger was under seasoned, overcooked, and reminded us of refried beans with some black beans added. The sweet potato fries were almost burnt with no seasoning. We ate in and there were alternating scents of cleaning chemicals and bathroom.VerdictWe would order fries and shakes to go but will get burgers elsewhere in the future.
I love the burgers, shakes and rings. Last time I ordered I got a Good burger. It has fried green beans on it. The peppermint shake was amazing.

Honestly was really excited to try this place. Huge burger lover. Menu is interesting, the restaurant itself was cool, FOH was so nice. Which bums me out to leave such a bad review. Because not only did it make me sick to my stomach, and my wife, but even my dog who stole a bite ended up getting sick.All in all it wasn’t cool/great enough of experience to try again and hope for better.
My hamburger was extremely rare. The prices are high and the food was not that good. I wanted to love it but was disappointed.

Huge burgers with fun toppings. I had a gluten free bun that was a bit dry and hard on the bottom but it did not take away from the burger. The tomatoes and cucumbers were fresh and beautiful. The fries werent crispy but tasted good. The place was super clean and fun.
Creative and fun burgers that are huge. We picked them up for an office lunch and I had lunch for two days. I also have eaten in the restaurant and it is a fun atmosphere. This is now our familys favorite burger joint. We like to support locally owned business and they make it easy to do so.
Thick hamburgers. Large hamburgers. Better buns. Several different toppings to choose from. I had the tsunami burger. I liked it in general but the sour cream flavor was over whelming. I had the sweet potato fries. They were cooked like American fries. I also had the brownie shake. It was good. Basically a fancy chocolate shake. The restaurant has kind of a rough retro look with mostly cement floors
Great food and value! Clean, bright, and inviting atmosphere. Will return soon. Compared to other places in town that offer similar food, Nitro Burger is a step above in my opinion. The burger was much larger and didnt taste like it just came out of the freezer. The bun was large enough to handle the burger and its toppings, which I really appreciate. French fries were great! Seasoning (on the fries) was unexpected but very good. Overall a great experience!
On 7/1/20 my family and I visited Nitro Burger for the first time. We were pretty excited to try something new and wanted to try some fun things on our burgers. We were a little surprised at the cost but were still willing to try it since we are totally over cooking. The young girl taking our order was less than helpful, with no personality at all and pretty much just stared at us until I asked are you ready?. I ordered the build your cheeseburger and very clearly and specifically (while counting on my fingers) asked to add bacon, cream cheese and sauteed onions. When we get our food, my sons order was correct, my husbands order was correct, but mine showed up with mushrooms (eww) and no cream cheese or onions. I take my basket up to the counter and explain I had asked for cream cheese and onions and this has mushrooms. The girl who took our order had the audacity to not only argue with me once, but three times claiming I said mushrooms not onions. I am sorry, but I dont like mushrooms, I would have NEVER said mushrooms. Plus when did the Customer Service point of the customer is always right get thrown out the window. I still cannot believe that rather than apologizing and taking the food back and getting me a new one, she chose to stand there and argue with me. Honestly, she should not have a job and her manager needs to reevaluate her employment. After the 3rd time of arguing, my voice level was just below screaming when the other cashier (lovely woman) came over to see what was wrong. I explained what happened, she offered her profound apology and immediately went back to have it corrected. She deserves all of the praise and understands what it takes to make a customer happy. I personally have worked in Customer Service for 15+ years, in various roles: server, hair stylist and now a supervisor of a large company working in Customer Service. There is no excuse for how the young girl dealt with the situation but the woman working with her deserves praise! Thank you for making it right! Needless to say, we will still not be returning to this establish EVER!
Wonderful food! Well worth the money. Burger was really huge and done to perfection. Not salty, not a whole lot of grease. I am so full. Ice cream I am told is homemade. I was too full to get any, so I will be going back to get some..

This is hands down the best burger in Lincoln! Pattys are easily 1/2 pound AFTER being cooked - you will leave full. Friendly employees and great atmosphere. Only downside is the wait can be long to get your food... However, the food quality made up for this and thus 5 stars.

We went this week for my husbands birthday. The restaurant is adorable and the shakes were delicious. My positive review ends here. The building is FREEZING which makes it feel sterile, despite the cute decor. The food is really pricey and the burgers HUGE. It would be great if you had a smaller burger choice for folks the dont want to eat that much. Even with four of us sharing 2 burgers, it was still over $70 to feed 7 of us, two of which were small kids. You cant even get a glass of water to drink, but must purchase a bottle. The food is just NOT good. The burgers are oversized, messy and tasteless. The buns were like rubber. If you tried to bite it, the whole thing fell apart. Even with a folk and knife, I could barely cut the bun. No one in our group liked it. We will not be back. I wish we had believed the poor reviews and not put this damper on my husbands birthday.
I Do Not Recommend! I ignored the negative reviews and went in with high hopes. I should have listened. The food tastes bland and the buns are oversized and chewy. Like eating a sponge. Saw several patrons eating theirs with a fork and knife because it fell apart. We had the bean burger, philly and regular burger. The place was cold inside compounding the bad experience. There were some pros. The chocolate shake was money and the diner deco was very cool. 1 star without this.
The double Dutch fudge shake was the best thing my husband and I have ever had! Going to have to try ordering every kind they have! Will most definitely be back.

Pretty disappointed.. my mom told me to try this place because it was “amazing” well we tried it. Food came out fast about 5 min which was nice but man our fries where so soggy from being drenched in grease we ended up not even eating them. Our burgers wernt all that, the buns are very dry besides the bottom bun that was drenched in grease (but what do you expect when you have a huge burger, so no big deal) but the sandwich didn’t have much flavor all I could taste was the Sweet bbq. For 2 burgers,2 fries and 2 drinks for $28 for this quality is disappointing and overrated. Could of had a better burger/fries at sonic.

Wanted to check out what all the hype was about... But my experience was just ok. Dont get me wrong: the hamburger patties themselves are pretty good but 1) we got there at a busy time and service was really slow. 2) my Buffalo Bill bacon burger tasted like... SUGAR. Molasses was so overpowering that I couldnt taste anything else: what a shame.
They’re back at it again. I’ve had a romance with these burgers since day 1. Juicy, innovative recipes, yet steeped in burger tradition, delicious smile inducing food. The new brick and mortar local takes everything to a new level with friendly staff (still), and dinner feel that’ll make James Dean blush. Try their shakes, jalapeño poppers, crop duster burger, the tried and trusted gunslinger, it’s all good.
This place is just as amazing as it was when they were first starting out. Always good food, drive 8 hours just for the food here.
You can argue all day on who has the best burger in town and not get much of a consensus. But Nitro Burger would definitely be in the conversation and would get my vote.8 ounce pattys. Fantastic combinations. Soft, yet firm buns. Just the way you like it. I highly recommend the Gunsllinger.And their new actual sit down restaurant location has that locals only, mom and pop feel. The smell is fantastic. The staff is as nice as could be. Its great to see a local familys hard work paying off.

We loved the food milk shakes oh my order the sweet potato fries I dont want o spoil it but the best ever price compared to burger joints was comparable but these burgers were huge jalapeno hotties they were very good will go back
One word best describes this place: meh.I was here with my wife and another couple. My burger was ok but 2 of the people I was with were not impressed at all. I will say that Im open to trying it again and updating my review if I think its necessary.Maybe if the price wasnt as expensive as ordering a steak at Texas Roadhouse I wouldve given it 3 stars.
Over priced for what you get. I got the royal burger had no flavor. Macaroni was bland the hamburger had no seasoning. The fries were good though. The burger was 8.50 fries was 2.75 too much money for bbq. I eat lots of bbq and I know a good deal when I see it. Service is the best part of the restaurant. People here are kind and keep checking on you but the food left me a little short of what the price would reflect the quality to be.

It is fifty decor really cute. You better be hungry when you go there burger are 8oz. Next time i think I ge for the kid burger whichis 5oz. I had what they call a Betty burger it had cream cheese cucumber tomato lettuce and there on versions of catsup. Which great. They have malts or shake which is made with homemade ice cream.

Absolutely terrible. My wife and I went to eat a few weeks ago and got the worst excuse for food Ive ever had. The steak on my philly was extremely chewy and impossible to eat. The bun was saturated with juice and was just mush. Even the vegetables tasted very odd, possibly old. The fries were also limp and cold. My wifes Burger was on an extremely dry bun, with exception of the bottom bun which was also soaked in juice. To be polite we decided not to return our food, of which we ate almost none, in front of Customers who had just shown up. We did however send an email and still have not received a response back. We have had nitroBurger before when they were in the food truck and did not seem to bad, however the restaurant is a far departure. We will be avoiding it all cost.
Big burgers, but not much flavor in meat. Sweet potatoe fries need to be sliced thinner strips, fried linger to be crispies, they were still hard potatoes.Milk shakes 5 stars!
The food was over rated. It tasted like cheap meat, and breading made me feel Ill. The environment was very sad to say the least. No fountain drinks. To top it all off, it was expensive for the quality of food.

They have friendly staff with a widely creative burger menu, beginning with a custom crafted juicy beef patty. Flavor is never lacking whether you look to the burgers, steak fries, sweet potatoes or any other option they are offering. There is no reason for you to leave hungry when you visit Nitro Burger!
