Best breakfast food Ive had in a very long time.... Tasted almost like Mama cooked it... I had the breakfast burrito, hash browns, and a side of bacon. Normally when I eat in a restaurant and I get hash browns I have to have steak sauce, because hash browns taste bad but not here. Best has browns Ive ever had. Good flavor, great quantity... The burrito was HUGE, and stuffed to overflowing with sausage, scrambled eggs, onions and green peppers... Highly recommended

First time eating here. The atmosphere was nice. I ordered the eggs Benedict which was delicious and the portions was big. The service was lacking. The waitress never came to my table once to see if I needed anything else. When I was done eating I waited till she made eye contact with me to come to my table. Mind you I’ve been sitting there awhile for someone to refill me something to drink. Had to finish my plate with no drink of water nor did she refill my coffee. By the time she came to my table she asked me if my coffee needed a refill. I said no, I just want the bill. I paid for the food because that was the only thing that was good. No tip was given to this waitress.

Best Breakfast Ever! My wife and I had Eggs Benedict with hash browns. Huge portions and the hollandaise sauce was perfect. Prompt service worth going out of your way!

Took my mom and daughter here for brunch. A nice experience with good food and lots of options. Chairs short for some reason and hard to get my 84 year old mother out of it. Loved the atmosphere and was very busy. Great servers.

Ive lived in Lincoln off and on for most of my life and finally checked this place out. Food was good and not over priced. The place was packed! Im not sure how long we waited for a table, and then for our food, but the company was great, so I didnt mind too much. Not really a place to go if youre in a hurry or if you suffer from anxiety, or are prone to sensory overload. So loud I couldnt hear what anyone on the other side of our table was saying.

Had the Veggie Eggs Benedict. Good portion size. The hash browns were frozen, not fresh, but seasoned nicely.

This was exactly what I was looking for in a breakfast spot. Amazing bacon! Food came out fast and the service was good. Very affordable.

Engine House CaféThis was a unique little place to have breakfast. It was originally a fire station. It has been restored to it’s interior brick walls. The walls have antique fire equipment and photos. They have great food. I would recommend the biscuits and gravy. Prices are reasonable and in the low – moderate range. The staff was friendly and attentive. When it started getting busy, I thought the tables were a little too close for comfort during Covid pandemic. Read the menu to learn the history of the Engine House.

So yummy! Never have had bad food or service here. It is small and hard to get into on weekends but worth it!

Cozy small town restaurant feel. great traditional menu. we had a great breakfast there, and would like to return for lunch or dinner on next trip to NE Lincoln. morning waitress was exceptionally friendly, biscuits and gravy were fantastic and my coffee cup stayed full. couldnt ask for more. enjoy the fire house memorabilia!

We had excellent breakfasts. The service was very good. A word to the wise, if you are going on a Saturday morning try to be there before 8:30. By nine there was a pretty good line outside. The place was packed. Obviously a favorite of the local people, which also seems like a good recommendation.

Food was phenomenal! Hot and flavorful! But, there are a ton of people. We had to wait about 20-25 min for a table (which tells you how good the food is). Definitely worth the wait!!

Nice simple selection on good to choose from. I had the breakfast and the French toast was so light and fluffy, was amazing indeed. Im going again justi so i can add pictures this time lol

The food was so amazing! Good seasoning and spices, perfect temperature, overall great quality. Service was absolutely fantastic! Never had to look for our waitress once. She was very helpful at suggesting items and describing them. She checked on the seasoning for our green beans because it was so freaking good! Not too salty and so flavorful! The atmosphere is very calm and welcoming. I definitely recommend if you are looking for great home cooked kind of food and a great place to relax and enjoy some conversations.

I called them 6 times during off-peak hours while they were open and nobody answered. Being a small cafe is great, but it doesn’t excuse the lack of attention to inquiring customers.

My first experience at Engine House Cafe was a great one! I came here with my family for brunch, and although it was quite busy, we were able to get our food in a timely manner. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was welcoming. We will definitely be coming back.

Had an amazing bacon avocado Benedict. The service was great, neat atmosphere inside an old fire house. Waitress kept our coffee full. Eggs Benedict seems to be their thing but others in our group ordered things that looked great as well. Would return the next time we are in Lincoln!

I love stopping here for breakfast! The staff is so nice and makes you feel like youre family. Its always busy and full of people which makes it feel cozy, and the decorations give it the feel of the old Firehouse. The biscuit breakfast combo with sausage gravy is delicious (and more than enough food)! I highly recommend trying them out.

This does not in any way take away from the quality of this establishment. my one recommendation for this business is expansion. I expect my five-star rating with engine house to hold its presence here on Google as well as in my opinion.
