We had 2 horrible bedroom closets and finally decided to fix the problem. The only way to have adequate space was to add new closet space in the room. Luckily, we had one wall that only had a dresser. So we bit the bullet and decided to take on a major closet project. We spoke to three different companies. It was helpful for us to get more clarity on what we wanted and see what our options were.With the first two companies (state/national companies), the salesperson wanted to know our budget before they would talk with us about the project - before they would show us anything or learn about our needs. Not surprisingly, they both gave us bids that were right around the budget number we had given them. This was not the case when Scott from The Closet Doctor came out to our house to meet with us. He looked at our space, learned what we were looking for, drew out options, checked to see if they met our needs and gave us a bid.We went to the showroom to see the products in person. They were very similar to what we had seen with the other two companies. The warranty is great (note - one of the companies only offered a one year warranty, while Closet Doctor and the other company offered limited lifetime warranties).The bid from The Closet Doctor was MUCH more reasonable than the other two bids. So with good products, a strong warranty and a great price, we chose The Closet Doctor. We also liked being able to support a local business.We had a glitch during the install related to measurement issues. Jeremy, the lead installer, was great. He made sure that the needed material was reordered and that everything would be correct. He was very helpful and checked in whenever he wanted to make sure that he set things up exactly as we would want them. We had him move the position of a couple of bars and he was happy to help.The measurement glitch did delay the timeline on getting our job completed, but Scott, Jeremy and The Closet Doctor team took care of us. They apologized, kept us informed, got the new material as quickly as possible and made sure that we were happy with the finished project.We had a new system put in one closet, another closet turned into a bank of shelves (it wasnt really deep enough to be a closet) and a wall unit put in that included hanging space and drawers (so we could get rid of our dressers). The material and color is exactly what we picked out. We are extremely happy with the finished product.If we ever decide to take on another closet project, we will definitely return to The Closet Doctor.

DO NOT use Closet Doctor for commercial use. We contracted with them in 2015 to build custom cabinets for our supply room. I chose them because Wade was great and we needed the 500 lb capacity for publications and paper that would be stored in our supply room, which was not only disclosed, but visually shown to Wade during the design process. Their cabinets DO NOT hold up to 500 lbs weight. They do not even hold 250 lbs weight. The cabinets began to sag immediately so I called them out to address; yet after fighting with Derrick the owner for more than 3 years to make these cabinets function (we now have several shelves that have broken completely and unusable) they are now claiming we are abusing the cabinets and using outside of the normal use. Wade and Josh the installer were fully aware of what we were putting into our cabinets before we even executed this job and I am furious that Derrick the owner has been so unprofessional and difficult to work with. He hides behind his people and his receptionist to do his dirty work. I dont know how they can say they have 4.9 stars, and imagine they simply delete all of their bad reviews. Below are just a few photos. They use tiny metal pins to support all of the weight on the shelf which over time, digs into the shelf. When I asked for a solution they put cams on some of the shelves but not all and said to not put that much weight on the shelves (I am figuring they may hold up to 100 lbs not 500 lbs). The shelf with all of the boxes on the floor was a shelf with the cam. Derrick refuses to acknowledge that his 500 lb capacity claim is wrong and he also does not listen to his technicians who offered better solutions, yet he will only go with the cheap solution, which obviously failed. DO NOT use them if you plan to have any weight on your shelves.

This is our second time using Closet Doctor, we were so impressed with their staff, quality of work, the end results, and of course the pricing; that we used them again in our new home. We completely redid our master closet and we couldnt be happier. We got it designed just the way we wanted it, and it turned out great! I wouldnt hesitate to use them again, and highly recommend them.

We have had all are closets done as well as 2 offices and are very pleased. Derek was very responsive to our concerns and desires. Great team of workers. Love are new office.

The Closet Doctor designed and installed a beautiful office for us. My husband and I are both professionals and needed identical work space. Scott L. worked tirelessly with us to design and come up with the perfect plan. His crew consisting of Jeremy and others are amazing. Scott also built for us an entertainment center that matched our brand new kitchen cabinets. We had other estimates but Closet Doctors estimate was much more reasonable and we did not have to wait 3 months as many other carpenters were telling us. Closet Doctor also provided cabinets for our home - I cant say enough about this business. We have referred many neighbors to them.They get back to you by email, follow through on promises and resolve an concerns you have. Pictures will follow.

We had an install done and liked everything except the ironing board install. The cabinet door did not fit properly nor did it close all the way. We called the company three times and requested someone come out and look at it. All we received were reasons they could not come. They did give my husband some suggestions and because he is a great handyman he was able to fix their mess. The customer service once you have paid in full is terrible. Make sure you are 100% happy before fully paying.Update: Derrek (the owner) called us this morning regarding our concerns about the ironing board install on July 19, 2013. He apologized for the delays in contacting us. He offered compensation for the ironing board install. We explained we did not want compensation. He seemed very sincere and at the end of the call we felt that in the future he has put in place measures to address this type of concern. The product was great, we love our room and now feel we would refer this company.

My wife and I had garage cabinets put in last month. We’re very impressed with how great they turned out. We would highly recommend this company. Great people too work with!

Scott came to measure and bid my new construction for closets and a walk in pantry. He was thorough, efficient and patient with my questions! The closets turned out well as I expected and the pantry turned out amazing! The envy of many who come and see the pantry. The installers were tidy and careful to protect my carpet and flooring. Of course they were courteous and even corrected a quality control install concern before I even noticed or complained. For someone with a cautious budget like we had, it was worth going with them as the professional and not trying to DIY it myself. Don’t do it yourself or try to use inferior material, their zero percent financing is also helpful.

First rate garage cabinets and install. You can tell they know what they are doing when they show up then they installed my custom made storage cabinets. I had some needs for deeper cabinets and was worried about strength but these babies are rock solid, no scrimping here. Very impressive from beginning to install. A well run company.

My wife and I are really sad. We feel tricked by bait and switch tactics. The salesman [turned out to be the owner] was very nice and professional when he came to our house to give a bid for the job. I had three other companies scheduled by my building contractor, but I cancelled the others after seeing the wood samples he showed me. There was a sample that matched our existing cabinets that I picked.When the closet system was installed the color looked terrible and does not look like the sample. We payed $2500. and they look like cheap junk. Do not get suckered by this product. What looks like beautiful wood on their website and salesman samples look nothing like them when the product arrives at your house. When I got home from work and saw it I thought there was a mistake. The only mistake turned out to be using the closet Dr.

Bought a queen wallbed for our guest room from The Closet Doctor. It was installed today and it is AWESOME. Wonderful craftsmanship, plus it is a beautiful piece of furniture in the room. We couldnt be happier with the finished product. It was a good experience from beginning to end. I would highly recommend buying from them.

I have enjoyed my newly organized den for over a year now and wonder how I ever survived without it. This is the first time I have had enough file drawers to keep all my files for home business, genealogy, travel planning and other miscellaneous files in one room. Not only file drawers but my computer equipment, book shelves, TV entertainment center and a handy and beautiful wall bed complete this special room that meets all my needs. Thanks to Closet Doctor staff I was able to explain what I needed and they were able to show me a computerized picture. After picking out the wood and counter top samples and making a few adjustments, I was comfortable with the plan. It did not take long to have the pieces constructed and since I was having family for the Christmas holiday within a few weeks, I was glad they were able to install everything in a timely manner. There is even room to enjoy Wii games in front of the TV and my grandchildren love playing there. Thank you, Closet Doctor, for a job well done and you left everything neat and a satisfied customer.
