In a world of ongoing blandness with many big box stores, it’s a real treat to get good old-fashioned, one-on-one service and being treated like an old friend though it was my first time here. I came here to get arch support insoles, but did not expect the jovial presence of 81-year-old owner Bob—loving his job and doing what he does best since 1955. Even wearing a mask, you can “feel” his smile when he laughs and gets jokingly witty with customers. I watched as he paid complete attention to each customer to make it a personal experience. My turn was no different. Top-notch service. This is more than a shoe store. It’s a time capsule of joy.

I purchased a pair of z-coil shoes 2 or 3 years ago from them & love them!! Ive needed some minor repairs done to them & they are always great & very quick!! I will return for as many as I need.

Caution*** They do not stand behind their products. Paid $185 for boots, that when they came apart less than 7 months later (and werent worn for 2.5 months of that due to COVID) they blamed it on us as they said they werent cared for properly as they should have been treated with leather stuff, although when selling us the shoes did not tell us they needed special treatment. Actually told me that it was common sense to know it needed to be treated with leather stuff..... so not only do they not stand behind their products but they expect you to be shoe pros.... we shopped local to get specialty advise and clearly did not... Offered to sell more shoes to us at a discount but will not stand behind their expensive shoes.

Back when I was a single mother going to college days and waiting tables nights I brought in my combat boots to resole. They put two different size soles on so one didnt fit anymore, also stole my shoelaces, told me it was my fault for not knowing to take them out, then sold me laces which only went half way up. They treated me very hatefully, condescending to me for not knowing how to do their job and having my laces stolen, destroyed my awesome jump boots which should have lasted me another couple decades and Im glad to finally have a platform to share my experience. Not good people.

Had a pair of boots repaired here. One of the only places left in the area to fix boots. They did a great job and got them done in a timely manor. Would highly suggest them forShoe repair!

Great Customer Service

Not the most friendly service. Took in a pair of suede shoes to ask about repairs. They said they couldn’t do much to fix them, but gave me no suggestions or even an attempt to help. Made me feel somewhat dumb for coming in. If you like kind customer service, I can’t recommend them.

No service. Cant wait around with 2 little girls that need shoes. 2 employees, 1 other customer and cant even get a Hello for the first 10 minutes. Pass.

Stopped in Bob Johns to see if they could fix a crooked tongue on a pair of boots and thinking I would have to drop them off. The woman working took a look at the boots and went back in shop and 15 minutes later boots were repaired. Cant ask for more than that.

Ive always had the best care at Bob Johns. Im now 74 years old and Bob Johns has been my main shoe man since before I was 16 years old.
