Stoops, this location in Lima, OH in particular is my favorite place for repairs whether it’s minor or major they always fixed my problems & helped me get my big rig back to the road ASAP. Best shop around.the bodyshop manager didnt know if he could get me in that day but he asked about my load I told him I couldnt load until it got repaired.he cleared a bay & got to work on it had me fixed in a couple hrs.with a very fair rates. My friend has been stuck here for days. Said they needed to order a part for 2,600 now its over 4,000!!! They know theres nothing these truck driver can do. This just broke our 👪. Ill be reviewing them again in detail on my Facebook page Food for friggin truckers.

Brought in my truck to Stoops Freightliner by tow because it was failing to build air, Stoops replaced an airline that they diagnosed to be the issue while they had my truck for 24 hrs and sent me on my way. The invoice was over $800 for ONE airline replacement!! I broke down again with the same problem 3 hours later. Had to pay another mobile service call and come to find out my air compressor and lines were filled with oil!! This problem SHOULD have been caught at the dealership and it would have saved me ALOT OF MONEY. I’m a truck driver from Canada now having to tow my truck all the way back.I called and expressed my grievance when I breakdown and before the mobile service was called but was made to feel that I must have done something wrong and it was definitely nothing done wrong on their end, and was told to get it towed to another location on my expense!! We drivers are not made of money. These kinds of problems really hurt our families. I’ve had a terrible experience dealing with Stoops freightliner.I would not recommend Stoops Freightliner if you need help, they will take advantage of you and charge you ridiculous rates, and if you have any issues with their service they won’t help you 😔

After hours supervisor was rude, but the tech was great. Day shift was as if you had gone to a different location.

Great place if you got to get your truck worked on

They charged me 482$ for passenger side windshield,3 weeks earlier i replaced driver side in Chicago for 180$ thats 302$ difference.I dont know maybe this one is golden glass............

They lied to me to get me to have them repair my truck. Promised it would be done in 2 days, but didnt even start it until 2 days later, and only then after I called and checked on it and they lied about how far along it was.

Stoops freightliner is a great place to break down very fast and friendly.

This business is very clean, large area for parking. The employees are very polite, friendly and very knowledgeable on semi trucks and various engine manufacturers. I have been business here for alot of years and will continue to keep doing business with Stoops. If something isnt right, or if a wrong part was ordered they go out of their way to make it right with you and to make sure you get your refund for what is owed to you.

They replaced some broken wires for $8 but labor costed more than $900, they charged me triple more. Might be service is good, but charges are too much high, unbelievable

Called to inquire about a part for a 30 year old truck. They answered promptly, and had my part ordered within a couple minutes.

Brought my Volvo, Detroit motor to stoops freightliner in lima. Motor ran fine, just a little over 900,000. Miles on motor.Had a bad oil cooler and a turbo oil return line leaking.So bought a Detroit oil cooler and a new turbo and all the nuts and bolts. Took it to stoops. Was installed, picked up truck.Was pushing coolant out over flow. Busted coolant hose I replaced. Then busted radiator I replaced still pushing coolant, replaced jug on top of radiator. Still pushing coolant. Took back to stoops freightliner in lima told them the problem and Id locked the fan clutch to get it over to them.Was told I had a bad head gasket, ok put one in.In looking for cause of pushing water mechanic tried to heat up motor, took it out side to idle at 15,000 rpm still not working.HELLO the fan clutch is bolted so this mechanic puts it on a dyno with out my permission and has all kinds of problems getting it to shift. Then drives it around of course its pushing coolant and spraying all over with the fan.So he / me byes a new radiator cap, HELLO the hole tank and caps are new.The head is pulled to replace head gasket.Im told cylinder 5 and 6 liner is low and thats problem why the head gasket went bad plus 6 is scored.So I asked what it miced at, they didnt know so the next day Im told their low but with in speck. Ok put the gaskets and head back on.Told it would be done Friday afternoon.Ive got loads ready for Saturday.9 pm comes I call, truck is done mechanic left at 4 but motor has a miss.Miss is an understatement, motor is banging, chugging smoke like a freight train, Ive got diesel in the oil.Remember motor ran and purd like a kitten when brought to stoops freightliner in lima. 8,000. Thousand dollars later Im left with a broken motor that only needed a oil return line gasket and a oil color that I could of lived with.Owner operator now out of business.

I did my engine rebuild at this place, and it broke down again in 1,000 miles. they took care of it w/o problem. they understand drivers too! I cant give five star, Because I spend the extra 20 days without working but I will recommend as a shop for sure. Mistakes happens

They have a good array of parts, delivery time to my shop is the reason for 4 stars, sometimes they dont show up until 5pm.

Good quality work done right and faster than expected

Went in for a/c issues that 2 different loves could not figure out. They called when repiared went to pick the truck up working good when we left but 20 or so miles down the road it quits agian go back expecting to be there all day, NOPE THEY GOT ON IT RIGHT AWAYAND FOUND AN ISSUE UNRELATED TO THE WORK THEY DID AND GIT US BACK ON THE ROAD QUICKLY. THANK YOU STOOPS.

I want to thank all of the guys in the service Dept. As a first time O/O they made my breakdown experience and a bad situation not so bad. They took care of all my mechanical issues along with dealing with the warranty department for me. If youre in the Lima Ohio area and find yourself with mechanical issues I highly recommend them. When other dealer dont have a spot for me after 1 week i call this dealer telling them my situation about dpf on my cascadia 2013 the guy told me bring it here and i check for you today in the same day they fixed. They are nice people you can see from the second floor what they are doing with your truck. After 1 week my truck its running great thank you guys.

All I can say iswow! Been to many dealers and this place is awesome. Customer service is great and so is the parts dept.

We sent the truck with a radiator leak and they fixed it in less than 2 hours, so we didnt waste time and the driver was able to keep with his schedule. Excellent service!

After a warranty repair without telling me, my truck was sent out for a tire. The tire shop did not get to it. My truck was locked up in their yard. I had to find a motel, get to the motel and pay for the motel myself. While clean clothes and my wallet locked up at a place I didnt know my truck was being sent to. I will avoid this place if at all possible in the future

Do not go here your truck will still be broke when you get it back and so will your wallet
