Talpa is the place to go if youre looking for good quality meat specially for Bbqs. They also corn hand made tortillas that are delicious. The store focus is on Latin America food products but has a feel of the Mexico super market. Here you can find everything you meed to make a traditional spanish meal from the condiments to the vegetables and the cut of meat. I suggest you go check it out.

Nice store, well stocked, girls at the meat department could have given better service, I asked for some meat and lay went to the back to get it and gave me some awful looking stuff, wish I had looked at it before I left the store.

Cool place. Shiny and clean. Jumbotron on the wall playing a concert. Meat counter staff didnt speak English, its a frickin Latin market! Very helpful, no issues getting help with what I needed. I know where Im going for authentic Mexican ingredients from now on.

I have a bad experience whit the food but I don’t want to give a bad review because the place and the owners have nothing to do only the people work on the kitchen making what 10 an hour don’t care, I ask for carne asada and I get a carne asada but old like the cooked day before and don’t waste it .

I drove 30 minutes, to taste the food, I ordered a carne asada, the rice had an ugly taste as if it was no longer good, the meat did not taste anything, the food was not good, then I ordered 2 pounds of wings the wings were dry and no taste,

Pretty much only go here for meat but they have plenty to offer. There are numbers for the meat line but Ive yet to see them use it. Pretty much walk up and wait until it seems like your turn. The fajita preparada(cs) meat is pretty good and the centro americano corte or something is awesome but it is like 9.99 a lb.

All I wanted to do was get some meat to grill carne asada on this lovely Sunday. The people working in the meat department never attended us and there was about 5 people working. I don’t understand why they helped every other customer except me. Worst experience ever. Now I have to drive to la Potosina and hope for better customer service.

Youll know youre in right place if you see a pair of giant black smokers in the parking lot going full tilt grilling up some $9.99 Adobo Chicken. Youll want to buy some from the guy right off the grill but they dont allow illicit poultry deals in the parking lot. You have to buy them inside at the La Cochina meat counter where youll discover this place does a lot more than delicious grilled chicken.This market is worth a stop if youre in the area. Dont miss their cooked meats counter on the right.

I saw the reviews on the restaurant inside, so decided to try it out. Best tacos Ive had in gwinnett County!Heads up to all my non-speaking Spanish people. They dont speak much English behind the counter, which I wasnt expecting, but I was able to translate enough for them to understand my order. Nice staff though, they were patient while I tried placing my order!The tacos are overstuffed with meat, and are fairly priced compared to other taquerias. I had the pastor and asada tacos. Both were good, but my favorite was the pastor. Salsa Verde was great! Would definitely order tacos again from here. Will be prepared next time with my order already translated!

My husband came in for the first time to buy some groceries for dinner and after he cooked we noticed something smelling so awful. They sold us expired bacon. Our entire meal went to waste. $32 thrown away of food. Never shopping here again!You could get people sick by selling expired food!!!!!

This place is amazing. The produce and meat department are always stocked and well maintained. The restaurant is always busy but the food is amazing.

When the store first opened,everything was very well,usually came because of the bread,it was really good.Until all of the sudden the bread became trash.The bread was not as good as it used to be,and it is hard and crunchy,they were soft and good back then.Very disappointed with this

Some people will say people need to adapt and speak the English language, I personally embrace being around people from a different culture and experience theirs. I enjoyed the food court and did my groceries there. Cool Place.

Rosa, who is in charge of making fresh juices, will help you and make you really enjoy your time at Talpas.

All is good but yesterday, Sunday July 5, 2020, I had a bad experience in the meat department. The guy was rude in speaking to me and made me feel bad. Customer service is number one always I had never experienced rudeness from Mexican business, until yesterday. If it ever happens again I will complain right then and there.

I come here every other week to get my groceries. I will say that their meats aren’t the best but pretty good and prices are fair. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican bread you won’t find that here but their bread is still delicious! They also have pollo asado they make outside on a grill and it is amazing. I would definitely recommend

One of my and my familys favorite place to go eat. The wait is never too long and the food is always delicious. You get a great amount of food for the price and the ingredients are always super fresh. Ive had a few of their dishes bit I almost always stick with the Mojarra frita (fried fish platter) it comes with rice, beans and a side salad. All of the different salsas and sides really make this place great. They have tons of limes, grilled jalapenos and onions up for grabs. The selection of bottle sodas as well as the palapa stand with fresh fruit juices is a must try. My favorite is the spinach and pineapple flavor.Their tacos are equally delicious, the asada is good but I like the al pastor one the most. The meat is juicy and it pair perfectly with their salsas.Their milanese torta is well sized and very crunchy. overall I dont have any complaints about this place as a restaurant. They also have fresh produce that I grab from time to time and a bakery as well. Check them out if you have time. They also smoke/grill whole chickens from time to time.

The best Tacos in GA! Best tacos I have had ever! And I have had so many tacos my whole life! Tacos de carne asada are my personal fav. wy stuff each taco enough to even make another taco with the extra tortilla under your tacos. I would travel pretty far where I am from but to get a taste of these tacos are just soooo worth it. And dont even get me started on the staff here, super nice and sanitary. The place is very clean, the music is lively and the over all place is pretty nice. Great for any person who is not Hispanic as well, so much to see and explore, you will have so much fun seeing everything they have to offer.

I like this place. Would give 5 stars except the churros (although they were good flavor wise) they werent fresh and were actually pretty stale. Also couldnt find coconut soda.

This has become my favorite Saturday dinner spot. Ditto to everyones comment on excellent service and cleanliness. Also, the food is fresh and you cant beat the price. If you enjoy fish, try the Tilapia combo platter with refried beans, rice and salad under $10.00. The soups are hearty and a meal alone. The traditional dishes and tacos are great eating. On Saturdays, the smoked chicken makes a great take home meal. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing. You can even do a little grocery shopping there. Fruits and vegetables are very fresh. I bought some T-bone steaks that were really tender and tasted like real steak. I just stopped in about a month ago and wondered why I didnt know about this gem before!

My family and I are from California where Mexican food is prepared normally and tastes good and where there are competent people to cook food. Here in Georgia, food is terrible, even the food the south is known for (i.e.soul food). Anyways, we found this supermercado a few months ago when we were out and about and were curious to how it stacks up to Cali supermercados. We were pleasantly surprised how good the food was, especially the meats like carne asada, carnitas, chicken etc. Perfect seasoning and the sides like rice and beans were very authentic tasting. Tortillas are fresh and cooked on the spot inside both flour and corn and it reminds me of back home. The horchatas and aqua frescas are amazing as well, very authentic tasting and the guacamole might ne the best I ever had. Only negative I can say is that the taqueria where you order carnitas, beans, rice etc is a mess and very disorganized. The workers primarily speak Spanish, which is fine, but cater more to the Hispanics who come there than anybody else. Ive waited way too long in line a few times for beans and rice when someone after me ordered 3 times what I ordered to include the same items I ordered and received their items before I did. If it was a little more organized where people werent cutting in and out of line and waiting 20 minutes for something that should take 5, this would be a much better experience. Still really really good place to go for quality and authentic Mexican food.

Food was amazing service was great except for the lady charging at the toco stand... wouldnt let my dad get salsa after he was told he could by one of the front cashiers. Aguas frescas were SO GOOD!

Finally something wonderful to anchor this little strip mall. Weve enjoyed Taqueria Los Hermanos there for over a decade, now a gorgeous, clean, slick new market has opened up in the same shopping center. As my 11yo said, This is not like Nam Dae Mun at all! Which is great since NDM is located on the other side of 29. Talpa has plentiful fresh made food, dining area for eating hot food on the spot, scoopable ice cream, fresh-made tortillas and salsas, and a meat section to drool over. Produce is beautiful and cheap, staff is exceedingly friendly, honestly it was like a Hispanic Publix. As I walked in the store through a cloud of fresh tortilla aroma, the cashiers all looked up and beamed at me as they said, Hello, welcome! I will be a regular there for sure!
