Difficult to make appointments in LIlburn office and once you are there you will sit forever crowded shoulder to shoulder in a dimly light area for an extended period of time. I finally gave up after over an hour and walked out. If you do have enough patience you might finally get to see the doctor but why even bother with an appointment if you have to spend so much time in the dark hole.The front end of the practice is truly horrible. If you value your time, go somewhere else.

I was charged for a contact lens fitting that I did not receive. I called multiple times over a 3 week period to get this resolved and after multiple calls (with ridiculous hold times as well) I was told by a woman named Latoya that what I was charged for was the actual contact lens prescription. She was condescending about it, thats not what I was told more than once previously, and Ive been wearing contacts and glasses since the 1st grade and this is the first time Ive ever heard this. I was also told multiple times previously that someone named Kelly Underwood it was a valid charge based on the agreement I signed. Even though she did not take the time to call me and tell me, I had to hear it from someone else multiple times. I have no problem with an agreement, but you better provide all the services Im paying for, signed agreement or not!! I know I never received a fitting because the practice does not carry the lens I wear. I will NEVER go back here and I will NEVER recommend this practice.

I had an appointment scheduled for this past Wednesday (8/18) and I simply had to leave because I could not sit and wait as I have done with my past two (2) visits at Thomas Eye Group - Lilburn.My appointment was for 1:40 pm, I left at 2:15 pm. Most people may think, but that was only a 35 minute wait, but this has been happening for years. Even if I had been called back precisely at 2:15 pm, I would know I would have been there until 4:00 pm or later.My son and I started going here back in 2005/2006 and we were faithful annual patient until the wait times started getting longer and longer for no obvious reason. I returned as a patient about 7 or 8 years ago and experienced the same long waits that drove me away and then silly me went back again 2019. Every part of the process was just ridiculously long and please do not even think about trying to look at the frames for your eyeglasses. Someone please tell the associate in that area that you can “multitask and you actually leave a customer to browse and try on frames without completely ignoring all the other “potential sales” standing there.Please note, I have always liked Dr. Alan Brown and he is a great Optometrist, but management there is a breakdown in your process somewhere from the online appointment scheduling, to the patient portal updates, to the automated lobby check-in, to the lack of front desk acknowledgement, to UNEXPLAINED LONG WAITS.

If I could actually get an appointment, I may have a better review. Yesterday, I completed an on-line form to schedule an appointment then at the end it said someone would contact me. They have not. Today, I tried calling and listened to a recording -- over and over -- that said your call is important to us, please hold. I hung up after 16 minutes. : (

I wrote a long review but I deleted it. In short the doctor was very short with me and did not seem very thorough. Then I waited over an hour to try and buy a pair of frames and was suddenly told somebody else made a appointment before they got there. So in short I left without any new glasses after over an hour wait because the one man was just too busy to handle the customers. The atmosphere just seemed a little off but maybe everybody was just having a bad day

Ive been a patient at the Thomas Eye Group for quite a few years and I wouldnt want to be serviced by any other place. Dr. Brown has always been very informative, thorough, he listens to you and treats you with care. I guess they call it great bed-side manners but Ill call it great patient/doctor relationship. Ive never had a bad experience here and I recommend the Thomas Eye Group to anyone who expects professionalism and great customer care.

Everyone had a very Professional Demeanor. The Doctor was very thorough in examining my eyes. I suffer with Glaucoma in both eyes.He explained all my tests that had been done by the personnel within the office for measurements and looking at the back of the eyes before he examined me. I was very pleased with my test results.

My experience with Thomas Eye group was very positive. The Dr. was very honest and told me the truth that my eyes had not changed since last time I got glasses and was very upfront. The guy that ordered the glasses was willing to give me good service when I decided I needed computer glasses. The people working there are very awesome, friendly, and helpful. This has been the worst optometrist experience I’ve ever had! They don’t answer. They just transfer you to the next person only for them to not answer. They have poor attitudes. All I want is my contacts that I’ve been trying to get for months now. They didn’t even tell me that my brand was on back order and I had to come up with my own alternative until I receive them (I still don’t have them). Guess I’ll be holding my broken glasses up to my face while I drive until I can get my contacts. I was disconnected twice and on hold all this time just for someone’s voicemail. This place is just so trash and terrible!!! Think I’ll just order my contacts and glasses off another site. Any suggestions? Please comment !

Can I just say how impressed I was with the office itself... the easy SAFE check in and social distance friendly waiting room is ideal during this pandemic. Now the staff..top notch! This was my first visit and I did have to wait an additional 20 minutes past my appt time HOWEVER I was informed of the delay without having to inquire and that spoke volumes for this office. The first person I encountered, Pilar, she was so friendly and informative that she eased my concerns immediately. Celise who did my field vision test was very patient as that was a long exam and she also addressed my cconcerns as well as just very personable. Dr Cobb took his time to explain my results and what to expect going forward. He also explained which lenses might work best for me. Xavier was very courteous upon checkout and it took less than 5 minutes. I then had to see Michael in optical. For the short time I waited I was able to see how he really went above and beyond for the gentleman in front of me. Top notch customer service. He extended the same courtesy to me as well which I must say has been lacking during the pandemic at other offices I had to visit. Overall 5 stars for

I was in the facility just 10 minutes short of two hours. I don’t know what the industry standard is for time in care, but this seemed long. Of course my routine 15,000 car maintenance took 60 minutes longer than it should. Maybe things just take longer.

I was very pleased with how smoothly the Lilburn office ran-- at reduced population density due to Covid, but still humming along. Staff was friendly and proficient. There was a bit of a struggle signing in-- the kiosk presented me with an insurance name which didnt match my coverage, but the actual insurance name wasnt in their data base. Some sort of subcontractor thing with the insurance company (VSP).

Dr. Carlisle is The Best Eye doctor and Surgeon I have ever known, however there always is a bad Apple in the bunch! All his Assistance are very kind but the guy in the front desk, Xavier I think I spelled it wrong ( sorry) all I can say is, “If you want RESPECT, then you need to learn how to dish it out”! He had me waiting over 1and 45 minutes past my appointment time and took others with a later appointment that had the same Dr. Also,When a employee tells a patient “ BE QUIET AND LET ME FINISH “ it hurt to the point that the 2 doctors Assistants had to comfort me cause I was crying so bad, another good example of a younger person not having Respect for a Senior!Yes, times have changed, and if people would have a Personal Relationship with JESUS CHRIST, then that Love would follow through to the human Race! That’s what sinners need, that’s what Christians need! I have been using this clinic for my daughters regular checkups for last 3 years.But so far i feel its just money making for them .. service and curtsy is least to expect.Every time i have to call billing department and to request to adjust balance.While seeing doctor i away pay co pays and later get billing on the name of all wide verity of tests ... Its all rip of charges... Keep milking your wallet by referring to various doctors withing the group and doing various tests without any conclusions ....Totally frustrated ....

I saw this group for the first time yesterday. They were awesome! From the first person at the door checking temps until the last person, Michael, who discussed frames. Dr. Brown was very aware and listened to me closely. I felt he was concerned. He was also thorough in telling me the exam results. Great experience!

All precautions for COVID were in place according to recommended CDC.My visit was a follow up to eye surgery 6 months ago and received an excellent report.Everyone was very professional and very friendly and nice.My eye Dr. was AWESOME. I have been going to Thomas E Group for 35 years and have never had an issue with anything. Their staff as always been professional, kind and always willing to make sure that all your requirements have been met. My husband has been going to another eye doctor closer to where we live and since they have opened multiple locations their customer service and concern for you as their patient has gone down hill. Great experience. Was referred by My Medical Dr. I needed a Great Opthalmologist. I had one in Queens N. Y. With the pandemic, I didnt want to risk flying. So I had to find a Eye Dr ASAP! I was directed to Thomas Eye Group. I made a appointment. And was assigned to Dr Cobb. He was Excellent, and explained everything. The Staff was Great and a Shout out to Mike that does the frames and eye glasses and his assistant. The staff is Great! I cant wait for My follow up. They sanitized the check in machines after every use. They practice social distancing. They were wearing mask. This is important to me becausei am high risk.they accessed me quickly and efficiently. I appreciate that because I dont really want to be around people too long. I thank them for this. I did wish they told me how much money I needed before the visit, because I am on a budget. Next time I will call before to see how much I may need.

First time at the facility and from the beginning of my appointment with Dr Cobb had a very nice approach from staff and the rest of service went out of the line of just a service to a human touch with not just being another number but a REAL sense of that kind of a not just professionals but my feelings from there where outsurpassed by the confidence of being treated like a human being, its been 24 hours from that and I have a total of 180 degrees of change in my life from pain and suffering from a terrible experience from previous surgery done by butchers totally away from this practice. Amazing in depth care! I wouldn’t even think about going anywhere else. Ditch those Walmart and cvs type eye exams, here the provider is an actual ophthalmologist (eye doctor) and they run all the tests you could think of. Dr. Brown is absolutely a cool and friendly doctor as are his nurses. Such friendly staff! This was my first time ever coming to an eye doctors office and im glad i got to choose them as my primary eye care office. I felt really well taken care of.

Overall, my experience was super - Thomas Eye Group does a great job. They have strong COVID protocols in place and the assistant that took me back was friendly, knowledgeable and had a great personality. Dr. Brown was incredible as well - took the time to listen and make sure my vision correction was the best it can be. The only sour notes were a.) the person performing to retinal scan - she was condescending (telling me, in a childlike cadence) to put my little chin on the chin rest of the machine and impatient (snapping at me to open my eyes after the blinding light made me tear up) and b.) the contact lens attendant who was dismissive, did not listen and showed no empathy to my concerns.

Ive had quite a few optometrists over the years as Ive moved around. Dr. Brown may be my favorite. Everyone I encountered in the office was extremely polite and attentive. My anxious 5 year old was well taken care of. Dr. Brown was great with her, explained what was going on with her eyes and our options very clearly (her previous optometrist did not mention her lazy eye or start treatment). Im very pleased with their offices and would definitely recommend them to others.

First of all Im a registered nurse so Im very focused on how businesses are dealing with covet. They greeted me at the door with the smile, a masked employee with a temperature check. Next there were very few chairs in the waiting room to promote social distancing. I felt safe. I was not near anyone and I was not out there a long time. I took this time to pick my glasses. Michael and the lady with the pretty leopard boots from target help me pick out the most amazing glasses while I waited for my appointment. Once I made it to the back I watched everything. The young lady super tall very intelligent wiped down everything in front of me also reinforcing that the things were wiped before I came. I did not feel rushed. I didnt feel any anxiety about catching anything. Once she was done she put me in another waiting room with only three chairs although I was in the back I still did not feel any anxiety as this area was promoting social distancing. When I was called from the back to get my eyes dilated the back waiting room filled up. I was amazed how the employee said... stay in this room while I find an empty exam room. she was ensuring I did not get any additional exposure. she came back placed me in a exam room. within a few minutes my exam was extensive but complete. I felt involved in the outcome . the doctor made sure I understood about the computer glasses vs the everyday glasses. he was so professional. the funniest part was at my checkout ... the two frick and frack at the checkout had me laughing so hard... another patient jumped in front of me.... too too close... they nicely redirected her to go to the next window... they apologized .. I loved the way they professionally handled. she really did not mean any harm she was just a bit confused as to where she was to go..... I loved my experience .. I have been with thomas eye group for about five years and they give great service... check them out at a location near you .... they take all forms of payments and flexible appointments. you wont find a better group of eye professions in Georgia. hurry up and use your insurance benefits before 2020 ends.

This reviews for the eye center. Do not ever buy eyeglasses from this place. I am very cautious when I buy eyeglasses and they need to last me for at least three to four years even if my prescription changes. I dont have the affordability to be able to go spend hundreds of dollars on glasses non-stop. The glasses that I purchased were a little bit more in the expensive side because I speak in front of conferences and need to have glasses that look well on my face. They broke within a month from pieces coming unglued, and when I came in to get them to fix it or correct the issue, they told me to go by super glue. so I had to purchase different glasses with the same brand online that were even better than what I had purchase at Thomas eye group. I came back in to have her help me adjust the glasses before them not falling off my face, I told her I didnt like the way she adjusted them, and she told me I could fix them myself. They never responded phone calls, they never listen to you, and I would never recommend this place for anyone. The woman that works on glasses has zero customer service in zero help. maybe if they corrected this they might actually have a decent place for people that want to go get glasses. Youre better off going to Walmart with more respect

I dont feel that the people were engaged or as courteous as Id like to have been treated. But in fairness, it was first thing in the morning. Dr. Brown was great.

Signed in quickly. Didnt wait long to be called. After dilation, waited in room with others for quite a period of time. Taken to have eyes photographed; waited once again. Didnt wait long for Doctor to come in. Things went quickly from there. Total time there was around 3 hours though.

We have been to Thomas Eye Group at least 4-5 times in the past year. While most visits are unremarkable, there is often at least one staff person who gives poor customer service. This time there were 3. The first person who called us back, while never technically saying anything wrong, had an attitude as everyone, including us, annoyed her. We have dealt with her being inconsiderate before and so I just ignored it. After she dilated my sons eyes, she directed us to a darkened waiting room. Every single seat was full, so I let her know I would be sitting somewhere else. After I asked, she let me know the wait might be at least 20 minutes. After nearly 40 minutes I started to get up to check with the front desk when my phone buzzed in my hand. It was the eye doctor calling. Apparently a soft-spoken woman who mispronounced my sons name had been calling for us in another waiting room and never bothered to look in the chairs where I was sitting. When I told her I had been there all the time she implied that it was my fault for not listening, even though I was sitting directly in front of the checkout where other employees had already seen me and checked on me. Then I found out that she had called my husband first, even though I had given them my contact information at check in, and had been incredibly rude with him as well. When I calmly mentioned what happened at the front desk, for the purpose of making sure our contact information was correct in the system, she, too, had an attitude. If any of these people along the way had simply smiled and said Im so sorry for that mix up all would be well. At the end of the visit, we were there for over 2.5 hours. This seems a bit excessive, even including the wait for my sons eyes to dilate.I know what it is like to be in customer service. I know some days are hard and you really dont care about the customers petty problems. To have three different people with such an attitude on one day, plus the random 1 we run into on a typical visit, tells me there is a problem with their training. I left the visit tired, discouraged, and not wanting to come back. If possible, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Super easy check-process and my appointment was on time and not rushed. The staff was genuine and communicates effectively with each other and with patients. You can tell they love their jobs and it translates in the form of customer service. The facility was very neat and clean and I felt cared for. Best of all, I saved over $300 dollars a yr by switching to TEG. They have a new patient for life!
