I had a spiral perm done 2 weeks ago and for some reason it didnt take. I spoke with the owner about my concerns and he asked me to wait another week and then come back. Well I went back in today and he had the ladies redo my hair. And also used a different chemical. And I will have to say Im very satisfied this time. Great services and great customer service. definitely be going back

Went in for a wash and set. After my hair was washed there was still gunk on my scalp. I showed it to the student and she took me to rinse my hair again when it clearly needed to be washed again but properly. I had to tell her to scrub my scalp as she was only focusing on my hair. My hair is very thick and requires vigorous washing. After the third wash I figured it was as good as it was going to get. When it came time to set my hair they didnt have enough of the gray rollers that would have been appropriate for my hair length so she used purple. It was clear from the start that she had no experience with natural African American hair. She didnt have a wide tooth comb and offered me a dirty paddle brush when I asked to detangle my hair prior to her starting my roller set. Overall I am very dissatisfied with this visit. It took her almost an hour to set my hair. I understand that this is a school but no one came to assist her or point out where she was going wrong. Great price but I wont be returning.

I went in for a trim, told her I wanted a trim, I specifically said an inch or less, no more she cut off 6-7 inches of my hair....I honestly do not know what to write for this review except for what happened. I figured a simple trim could not be screwed up...6-7 inches of my hair...gone. I hate it. I have never felt more uncomfortable. I have never had hair this short, I am at a loss for words. And then she charged me $8 when it says haircuts are $5. I understand it is a school and you risk things when you walk in....but 6-7 inches for a TRIM?

The owner or teacher is rude. I didnt even get to get anything done. I walked in and him and the receptionist are having a conversation (seemed like he was venting something to her because he seemed a little agitated) and neither of the acknowledged me. They didnt even look my way. I stood there for like 20 seconds waiting for them to talk to me, but they continued talking. I turned around to leave and thats when he said can I help you? and I said its ok to what he replied ok, thank you. That, for me, was a sign that I should NOT get my hair done in a place where this happens. Not acknowledging your customers is not ok. Run.

Very professional school, and they are always willing to help with a great attitude. If youre thinking about going to a cosmetology school I would recommend this one.

Finally stopped crying long enough to write this review. My husband helped me take photos of the damage so you can judge for yourself. I walked in a strawberry blonde and walked out with blotches and stripes of red, green, ash and brown.I have to say the girls were very sweet and worked hard to get it right. The problem was the man instructing them. He handled all the dye mixes. Even when the girls and I knew the process had gone wrong, he kept insisting it was just some red in my scalp. I held up strands of my hair with a red blotch at the root, a streak of bleached blonde, and another of copper, and told him thats not scalp.I should have walked out then. Instead I let him mix up two more batches of dye, one to tone down the red splotches and another to tone down the bleachy streaks. You can see the result. The girl next to me fared no better. She kept saying how bright yellow her hair was and asking if it would darken up.The whole thing was a horrifying experience made worse by the condescending and arrogant instructor. If he had even once acknowledged there was a problem, I would have thought it was a fluke mistake. But he kept saying it was fine and that it would tone down after a couple of washings. The girls in the shop knew better. I had strands of hair with horizontal stripes of colors not found in nature. There was nothing soft and subtle about it. I knew they felt terrible, but it was really out of their hands. I asked one of them if they would walk in to a job interview with this hair ( I have one scheduled), and she sadly shook her head.I hope my experience helps prevent others from making the same mistake. I was betting on the five star reviews, and learned the hard way. Tomorrow I go to a professional design studio to see if they can do anything to repair the damage.
