I love the quality of the service. However, I dont like the gel used because it cakes up white between some of my twists. Next time I will bring Jam shine. I think it woks better and looks better.

Normally, it makes a guy nervous going into a hair salon asking someone to braid his hair. But They made me feel right at home and THAT’S what keeps me coming back. The shop is outstanding! Everything is clean and sanitized and it smells AMAZING. They are also very gentle with your scalp and hair; I’ve been to other shops in the area, and they always rush and yank your head all over the place. My hair is healthier and longer than before. I HIGHLY recommend this place to everyone.

TERRIBLE ATTITUDES! Don’t argue with me about what your site CLEARLY did not state especially if you’re sitting there looking at it with me. Waited 30 mins for the braider who was supposed to be braiding my hair first off. Then for y’all to tell me it’s an extra $20 just to use two different colors of hair. Then tell me it’s the same price for box braids across the state of GA and it’s definitely not. I’ve never been THERE specifically so obviously you charge a different price. The way she was pounding on my head to just part it and then kept going back and forth with who I assume was the owner about pricing, that’s just not ok. Arguing with me in front of everyone in the salon when it initially started off with me waiting 30 mins, a discount should’ve already been your first offer. The lady who was actually supposed to be braiding my hair was actually there but was working on someone else. Lol like I’m glad other people had somewhat of a great experience because I DID NOT. Mind you I’m pregnant so dealing with that is not something I want to do. Gladly walked out. DONT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH A TERRIBLE ATTITUDE!!!*To your reply, I walked in at 10:02am per my Uber drop off so don’t sit here and lie like I was 15 mins late. YOU, the owner, MARIE is who I booked with and you were there doing someone else’s hair. So let’s start there. You know good and well I didn’t curse at anyone so again, don’t sit here and lie. I probably should’ve the way BOTH OF YOU were standing over me arguing with me. Stop lying Marie! Your attitude is terrible to be a business owner. If I booked with you I expect you to do it. Not me arrive 2 mins late and have to wait 30 mins to even sit in the chair with someone else when you were clearly there when I walked in and I know it’s you because your picture is on the site. And just because I don’t look like I’m pregnant doesn’t mean I’m not. So again, goes to show how terrible your attitude is. Also, you said you don’t have a business phone. Being that I called several times, your voicemail is clearly you speaking and stating “thank you for calling Unique African Hair Braiding”. Y’all are just terrible with customer service and never answer a phone number you have listed EVERYWHERE. The fact that you know you’re lying just shows you don’t need to own a business.

I have short hair but my knotless braids look really good. I’m so happy and Mary is such a nice person. This is my place to go to get braids from now on.

I apologize, I must be mistaken for someone else.I brought my son in to get comb twist, they agreed they would do it, when I got off work I called and no one answered or replied

I first went here on Monday March 1st and though the service took hours for 6 braids straight back, they listed a very long time and looked phenomenal!!! 4 weeks later I booked an appointment to have my two sons hair taken down, washed, and rebraided... though I was scheduled for 3 I had to wait an hour while 4 women worked on 2 separate women’s hair including one who came in after me. The women I seen this time were not the women that were there initially when I first went but I still proceeded... my youngest was washed dried and braided in 2 hours (4 braids straight back) as for my oldest his hair was taken down and out under water and left sitting while the women proceeded to eat and walk around the plaza outside... after literally 3 hours and 52 minutes I just told the women it was getting too late and I’ll just pay them and leave... upon getting home it was obvious that they purposely matted his hair for whatever reason making it impossible to detangle... when we were there they were complaining about the gel in his braids until I told them someone in their staff did the hair. From the start I could tell for whatever reason they didn’t favor my children. I’m not sure if it was because they were mixed or what but the attitudes where very unprofessional and flat out piss poor so now, 13 hours later he’s having to miss school so that I can find a REAL salon to hopefully fix the wreck these women did... to the women working on 3/1/2021 I’m sorry because you did a great job but the staff from 3/28/2021 needs to be replaced immediately or this business is running into a wall at 100 miles per hour with no brakes.

Great service, friendly staff. Exceeded my expectations and gave me some beautiful braids. Not as painful as other braiders I’ve been under. Braids are also a reasonable price considering all the work and care going into my hair.

I love my knotless braids. The ladies did a great job. My braids are not too tight and they care about your edges. Mary is very sweet and understanding. She listens to your concerns and is very knowledgeable about the health of your hair not just giving you pretty braids. The shop is clean, comfortable and soothing colors. Its not crowded with people everywhere. Ill definitely be back.

Got a sew in here and I loved how nice and pleasant atmosphere in this shop is!! The staff was very friendly, the shop was clean and beautiful! My hair is gorgeous! They took my passion twists down, washed my hair and installed my sew-in! I was there was a while but with all I had done it was well worth the time and money! Very reasonable!

I got box braids yesterday. The young lady who did my hair chopped up my braids when she was trimming, had an attitude and never apologized. I went back today and Ms. Juli fixed it for me. Ms. Mary, the owner, came in (she was not feeling well) and apologized many times about the behavior and lack of care from the young lady. I really appreciated that. Ms. Mary and Ms. Juli are the reasons I give them 5stars. They saved the day. The young lady however, should be terminated immediately. Im all about young black woman getting a coin, but sis needs to stick to shampooing and sweeping the floors or find something else to do with her precious time. I would come back and ask for Ms. Juli or Ms. Mary. That other chick... *insert side eye here*

I came into this shop at 730 pm after a major braid disaster. Half of my hair was braided in small micro singles and I needed my hair finished before the next day . Mary and her wonderful team of stylists took me as a walk on and finished my hair quickly and neatly. The atmosphere is great and the work is amazing ! I will definitely recommend this shop to anyone and will be coming back !!!
