Had some keys made here, and the staff was very helpful. The key I needed was strange, but they didnt just give up, they kept at it, and made it happen. I wasnt able to find the keys anywhere, but they had them. All of the staff were very friendly, and courteous. 10 out of 10.

My usual Ace was out of the garden hose that was on sale. I was in the area and called, Brenda answered, they had the one I was looking for. She put it up front for me, got it when I checked out. Nice cashiers. Hose is very flexible and has nicely machined ends. Uncoiled and had minimal memory. $20 hose acts like a $50.

Had the gentlemen in paint go above and beyond to help me locate a chemical. I wish I remembered his name. Left the store feeling good.

The parkinglot could use a fresh coat and the inside is dated and their prices are a little high on certain items plus the staff is not very helpful. Yet they always carry items I need! Whether it is a new hose, or items for remodeling my kitchen/bathroom, or flowers for planting they always have a lot of merchandise to choose from.

Needed help in plumbing dep. Employee called for someone, explained what I needed & he knew exactly. I was in an out 20min . Very nice employees. Small town hardware stores are better than some of those big box home centers

Needed a spare car key to be cut, and because it has a computer chip, not always the easiest service to be found. Referred to this location by another store, and were served by Jerry, who went out of his way to make sure the key was cut properly, and fit into the car locks. Because it needed to be programmed, he took the time to do that process for us, making sure the key was the perfect fit. Thank you, Jerry.

Prices similar to other stores. A little pricey but had what I needed that other stores didnt. Recommend signing up for Ace Rewards. Would shop again.

Kudos to Brenda (the asst. mgr.), Jerry, Matt, and Connor, who spent much time and effort with me when I purchased a Stihl pressure washer. Their patience and professionalism is a credit to this store and their company. All the employees that were there during my visit were friendly and genuinely happy to help their customers. Ace is one of those stores that is fun to go to. Maybe its the layout or selection- there is always something to catch your eye and steal your time. The extremely friendly staff make this a great experience.

Lots of great seasonal stuff

Hardware store with a soul And a great group of people that can repair whatever you need. This is one of the few places that still has the ability to repair something instead of adding to the trash pile. The personnel are helpful and the selection of items is great. There are people around to assist too!

An almost perfect blend of local hardware store and big box. I am here twice a week at least, and have crazy specific/obscure needs from plumbing to electrical to HVAC, auto, and everything in between. If they can keep me happy, I think thats pretty awesome. Some prices are a bit high for the market (hence four, not five stars) but overall very good.

A good old-fashioned hardware store with a helpful staff. Besides the usual tools, garden supplies, and paint you can also buy work clothes or just 1 screw. They also offer repair services for window screens and lawn mowers. I forgot to mention, they have kits and paint for Pinewood Derby cars.

Nice hardware store. I was looking for a specific item in the grilling department and the staff was attentive in helping show me the options. I left to go check a couple other stores bigger stores at the mall but that was a waste of time. This Ace had everything I needed, it was on sale and they also have a Hallmark store in-house where I ended up getting a card and wrapping paper. They even have a high-end line of Traeger grills and stainless tools available which you really wont find at other stores.

I got my Christmas tree here this past Christmas and it was my first Christmas being a family and having my own house. It was a beautiful tree. Thank you Brenda.

We call it The Big Ace (compared to the smaller Mundelein Ace. Both have friendly, helpful staff, the Libertyville just hsd a larger inventory. The other big box home stores dont have the odd little things that a typical Ace has.

Great selection. Hardware section is excellent. They tend to have the items I cant find at big-box hardware stores. Customer service is attentive, but most of the sales reps dont know much -- thats just how hardware stores go these days, not like older times.Overall, one of the best small franchised Ace Hardware stores Ive been to.

They are so good at service! I needed a bunch of an odd product. Not only did they have it but they found the extras I needed at another store and had them waiting at the register when I got there!

Front door was not working, the front door whats under construction hopefully they get it fixed soon the Associates in the store were very nice especially Rodger a very knowledgeable guy

I have trusted and shopped at the Ace location in Libertyville for 40+ years and will continue to do so!

I love this store!!! I love the staff!!! But there is one thing.......they 1,000,000% NEED to put a NO ENTRANCE, EXIT ONLY sign at the drive closest to the store. That way the MORONS who are southbound will stop BREAKING THE LAW and crossing the double yellow lines to get to the store. There is another perfectly good entrance just past it, where 1. your not breaking the law (technically, if you even touch a double yellow line you can be ticketed.....perhaps I should let Libertyville PD know where they can make a whole buttload of revenue!!! That WILL drive sales away from the store tho.....hint hint clue clue!!!), and 2. your not going to potentially cause an accident b/c most of the time the idiots turning (at the wrong entrance) dont put on their turn signal and force others behind them to SLAM on their breaks. Happen almost every day!! (Oooohh.....no turn signal, thats another ticket LPD can write the morons!!!) It doesnt cost much to make ONE sign.......get it done or I will contact Libertyville PD and let them know about all the unsafe conditions being caused right there and that can just stake out that area and bust people ALL day. And if someone so happens to get into an accident there AFTER I post this and bring to your attention the issues that can be VERY simply resolved.....oof! Your gonna have one hell of a lawsuit coming your way!!! So, buy a sign, avoid customer loss and potential lawsuits. Its really not that hard.......

Love coming into this place for end of any season deals. The staff is amazingly friendly and very knowledgeable.

Customer service is average to poor. There are a few guys that are helpful. Staff typically isnt very friendly. Menards is hands down better experience.

The Ace Hardware in Libreville is a large hardware store thats been around for at least 20 years now its a clean and kept very organized the staff at the Ace Hardware are extremely friendly and extremely helpful as they are trained to answer your questions about most common issues.
