I just want to say this is my second review of this place because I took my first review down due to the owner coming down to our home and telling me to take it down very rudely! Well this one will stay put I’m no longer afraid of the rude owner of Home Max! Don’t buy from Home Max due to there being scripture on their boards and Bibles in all their homes because we thought this place was a Godly based business but boy was we wrong! My husband and I waited until he was 53 and I was 48 to purchase our forever home only to have our hearts broken! This business is a joke. Once they sale you the home and they get their money they are done with you! We have had nothing but trouble with our home. Right now we are dealing with our floors being uneven and I mean really uneven it’s horrible. We’ve tried calling and even emailing and no response whatsoever. They don’t care once they have their money. For anyone that has had good service out of them I’m happy for you but for us this house has been a total nightmare and it’s not even been two years yet. Think long and hard before you purchase from them because it all sunshine and rainbows and then once they have their money they have no clue who you are!

My husband and I purchased a new home from Homemax and have been thoroughly pleased year after year. We actually loved the model so much and decided that our new home would be a duplicate of that model. We are so glad we chose Homemax to purchase our new home. Homemax went over and beyond to make sure that our home was perfect for us from picking out our home to delivering our home and then the awesome set up. We thank you again so so much! Professional Staff and great after sales service.

Don’t expect any quality of service after closing. We are having issues with water and mold underneath our house, been going on for well over a month. I reached out for help contacting the manufacturer and the on-site subcontractors and I’ve gotten no support. Won’t return my calls, barely respond to emails and when they do there is no solution offered or next steps given. No one will take responsibility for the problem. Everyone is playing the blame game and HomeMax won’t do anything to help mitigate the problem. Not to mention we are still waiting (4 months later) on warranty work from when we moved in because our service list wasn’t sent to the manufacturer until 2 months after the warranty started, when we were told it had already been sent. I had to call and follow up about why we hadn’t received service, only to be told they never received our work list. If you expect any type of follow through during your one year warranty period, this is not the place to go.

So thankful for Jay and everyone at HomeMax! They made us feel like family from the moment we walked in. It’s refreshing to deal with a company that genuinely cares about what you are looking for in a home, listens to details and follows through.They have been there to answer any and all our questions along the way. The HomeMax team walked us through this journey and delivered a dream into a reality. So I must not have looked like someone seriously wanting to purchase a home today. I went in and at least 4 employees sitting around. One handed me a sheet and said these are what we have. The houses were either barely 1000sq ft or 2000sq ft and up. When I walked back it they said that was quick. I said I was looking for something in the middle then I was told they had 2 in that I could go back out and look at. So I did . There was one I had questions about. Some houses have different options available and the piece of paper I was given showed that the bedrooms had different closet options. I went into this man’s office sat down and asked if they could get the home with the different options. He quickly said no that’s how it comes said they had gotten that one in just to fill the empty spot on the lot basically and they were not ordering anymore of it. Then he said sorry. Never once did he ask me what I was looking for or if there was anything he could help me with to help me find a home. I guess they have enough customers that he didn’t feel like he needed my business. He didn’t offer a business card or anything. So thanks for the big ol city customer service. I definitely wouldn’t send anyone here who actually wants help with choosing a home.

Bought our new home from Homemax in April of 2020 (delivered June 2020) after loosing everything we had in a house fire in December 2019. Ever since we moved in to the new house we have had nothing but problems. We were never told that our house has almost no wood structure to it. Its mostly styrofoam and rated for 50-60mph winds. Mind you we bought a 76 ft long single wide and we live on a hill. After trying for over a month we finally had someone come out to re-level the house after it settled some. 2 weeks ago we found a leak under the house. Called Homemax and after several days they had a plumber call to schedule a time to come out and check out the problem. Plumber said he couldnt find any broken pipes or plumbing issues. He thinks it was a problem with the AC unit inside the house and it leaking through the floor. So we called Homemax back to get them to send an Air conditioning company out and now they tell us that there is nothing they can do bc our house is no longer under warranty. So now what are we supposed to do? Its obvious that the leak under the house has been going on for quite some time now but they dont seem to care or feel that they have any responsibility in the matter. Very unprofessional staff all around. I received email between staff members that called my husband and I nasty and unpleasant to deal with all bc we were persistent in getting a response from someone about work needing to get done. Homemax says they are all about customer satisfaction and customer service but in reality they are just out to take your money and screw you over. After loosing everything we owned and watching our house burn we felt violated all over after dealing with Homemax. Worst experience we have ever had.

I brought my home cash 6 yrs ago. Within the first year I called with complaints about one of my windows having trouble going up and down from being unlevel, nothing was given or done but an excuse. Also theres a leak through the seam of roof, called Fleetwood who said that was on the ppl who set it up. Again homemax says they only have warranty on structure for ten years but only a year warranty for Fleetwood homes. Nothing was ever done! All in all excellent customer service. Poor setup and service. Also never got a copy of certificate of origin. When I inquired about it he said it costs 50 dollars. I do not recommend!

We stopped by tp look at the homes. We loved that we could go on our own and explore so we could freely discuss things between us.

We have had a very positive experience. The staff was courteous and professional. We had looked at many places. Homemax was slightly more expensive, but quality service is always worth the cost. I appreciated that they not only had Bibles open in each home, but also lived the word. It was refreshing to share our faith. They were always there for our questions. And even willing to print documents for us, since our computer and printers are all in storage. We highly recommend HomeMax for anyones housing needs. And a BIg Shout Out for Micah and the Guys. This place is one of the worst mobile or manufactured home places I have ever been to. They really tried to put the squeeze on my son and his Girlfriend.

Employees are always professional, polite and helpful. Love the set up that you can view the homes by yourself and take your time doing so. Everything went smoothly with our purchase.

Very helpful and inviting staff. I felt like I was hanging out with friends. No appointment needed. Prices in houses and lot is very nice. Highly recommend any of the sales staff, Jay, Trey or David.

Bought our home from Home Max several years ago. Great atmosphere on the lot with climate controlled models to tour. We were able to completely customize everything about our home. Raised our ceilings, pitched the roof, customized room layouts, moved bathrooms. The process was very smooth from the initial visit through the customization, and closing. Very energy efficient. 4 bedroom 2 1/2 bath occupied pretty much all day every day, our power bill rarely exceeds 180 per month. Would highly recommend Home Max and a Destiny built home.

Jay, at homeMax, is amazing! He has ensured that every issue was resolved quickly and even resolved a couple of items that were not builder issues.The other mobile home businesses in town fudged on the financial aspects and I found out I had savings.The price is more than fair and paperwork Handled quickly and efficiently.A minor issue was the whole house ventilation had condensation and wet the ceiling so I disconnected it and insulated it.My wife and I are enjoying the house and recommend them to anyone who doesn’t want to fool with the sales men attitude

I have looked at a lot of homes over the past two years but just couldnt bring myself to even come close to a purchase until I went to HomeMax. The quality of these homes are far above the others. Not only is the quality and design much better for lifestyles of today but as you walk through the homes there you will notice more of a real home with sheetrock walls and very well made floors. I really loved the way they even have the inside of the cabinets finished out with shelves even on the bottom underneath the counters, recessed lights under the cabinets. I also discovered when you purchase a home from them it is all inclusive rather than having to pay out of pocket for the set up and delivery, this certainly made things a lot better for us. They really do help you in any way they can, they also have Mortgage brokers in Lexington, SC to help you every step of the way which was my preference. After a signed contract and a $1,000 deposit HomeMax sold my house from under me. When confronted manager Jay Collins told me who ever gets the loan first gets the house. Unbelievable! Dishonest shady people! Do not do business with.Edit after reply*You just said it yourself! Another salesmen took a contract on it. Unbelievable. How can you sell the same house to 2 different people? Thats not how to do business! You can not sell some one else something after there is written and signed contract aswell as a cash deposit! Ill make sure to tell everyone I know NOT to do business with you

They do not honor their word. I should have taken the advice of family members that previously purchased homes here and are still waiting for home repairs months later. Trey in the front office is especially rude but “that’s just his personality” per another employee. Gladly taking my business elsewhere.The owner Dave did reach out and apologize for Treys rude manners. It’s a shame when your boss has to apologize on your behalf....I would wholeheartedly suggest Lexington Discount Homes right up from this lot if you’re local, or if you’re closer to Augusta then I’d suggest Rainbow Home Center.

After searching various mobile home dealers for a new home to replace our daughters home that burned, we found Home Max and the home that was perfect for her and her family. Jay spent a long time with us reviewing the attributes of the home we picked out and planned to order, discussing pricing and sealed the deal when he advised that they would handle the set up and installation of our home from end to end. Our daughter and her family was called to come look at the home and provide their approval. The deal was sealed and the order was placed. Jay and Dave was so helpful and understanding as we paraded various family and friends through the display model and we were very grateful to them for allowing us to do this. Any questions we had, which were plenty, were promptly answered and their contractors had the installation completed in the time frame we requested. The trauma our entire family experienced was made more tolerable by the helpfulness of Jay and Dave and their staff and the wonderful Destiny home that our kids and grandkids are enjoying today.

A complete mess! My wife and I started looking for a home early summer last year and found our dream home at HomeMax. Now we are ready to make a deal. The salesman that we liked is no longer there. The deal we were working on is gone. We got no negotiation on price. We searched the internet for Destiny Homes dealers and found Rainbow Homes in Augusta GA. They were almost like family in their willingness to work with us on price and options. The difference in bottom line price is about $18,000. Check out Rainbow Homes in Augusta GA.

My son, myself, and my parents were all treated like family. After reading some of their reviews I was shocked to read one customer accuse them of being racist!! My son is mixed, simply not a true review on their part. Any business can be churchgoing and have bibles in each home and that doesnt mean anything unless you follow through on your actions and how you treat people. This business follows through. Hate I purchased a home from here .Over a month later I still cannot move in because nothing had been set up correctly and completely the first time. Now the house still will not pass inspection. I am tired of having to call over and over so I can actually be able to live in the house I purchased. Plan and simple, the best place in the world to purchase your new home. The people are AWSOME.

Salesmen were really nice and very helpful before the sale. Once the sale was done....no help at all. Destiny homes are very poor quality homes. There are MANY issues with our home and we have been in 8 months now and not one thing has been fixed. When we contact Homemax they state that it is a manufacturer problem and we need to contact them. We had issues with the set up of our home....the 2 sides are obviously not even and they would not even stand behind the company THEY hired to set up our home. Told us we are responsible for contacting them. If we could do it all over, we would not get a Destiny home from Homemax. We would pay a little more and get a better quality home. Homemax does not stand behind what they sell and we are very disappointed in the many issues we have with our home. My advice, if you buy from Homemax do not move in or close until ALL issues are resolved. Do not sign any papers until you do a walk through and make sure all issues are corrected. Dave contacted us but still nothing was done. Its sad that nothing has been done and we have been in contact several times over the last year and still they dont care. They got their money

I traveled from gaffney sc to get my home with Homemax because I hate that where I live my only options were Clayton and Oakwood for a mobile home and Im so glad I did ..Homemax got me the exact home I wanted for a price and payment I could afford. We talked to salesmen that were unprofessional today. When we got to the place I went to the restroom before walking around and the salesman told me before I went in Wash your hands! Excuse you sir but I am NOT A CHILD. Then after walking around we came in to the office to discuss what we liked and had questions about with another salesman that came to us. So I asked him about having the porch steps less steep and he laughs then calls me a Sissy I understand this was suppose to be a joke but it was unprofessional under the circumstances. He answered our other questions and all, but didnt have any motivation at all in it. I felt like we were keeping him from something he wanted to be doing else where. The sad part is we really liked their modular homes and their deals but due to having them be so unprofessional we will go to our very professional and cares about us salesman Frank at Aiken Housing! Who says he can getf us a better deal anyway.
