My kids favorite Lexington destination, and a must-see for any out of town visitors whether they are children or adults. They have candy you probably haven’t seen in decades, fresh fudge, gourmet chocolates, a nice antique section, and friendly, helpful staff. My favorite treat is definitely the chocolate marshmallow caramel bar from the chocolates counter. Can’t recommend this shop enough!

Great candy. Generally waited on promptly. This visit two staff stood and talked after seeing me come in. Finally I was waited on and a very kind employee finished the box of with a lovely bow.

A long time establishment in Lexington. Something for everyone. A lot of nostalgia for us older folks and candy and toys for the kids. Youll find it hard to see all they have to offer in one visit. I highly recommend this place for everyone.

Peanut Butter fudge is freakin delicious; pumpkin praline fudge is the BEST. Otherwise, youre really just getting that really old general store experience.

So many wonderful candies and flavors I wanted one of everything . Its like a store I remembered growing up with Amazing!!!!!

Please watch the cashier, especially when she or he is ringing up your childs purchase. The cashier just overcharged my son by $5 and I didnt realize it until we left. She also didnt give him a receipt so we have no way to prove it. Ive checked 3 times and she definitely overcharged him. The last item she rang up was entered for $5 but he didnt even buy anything for $5.

Excellant, fun store with great ladies! Lots and lots of take me back in time candy and sodas. A quaint store that rolls back the clock with tons of fun. And very reasonable!! A must to go !!But where are the pigs????? A town that promotes pork, has pig statues but no small ceramic pigs for souviner sales????

I recently visited the candy factory with my children. It was an amazing experience. There is a monumental amount of candy options and vintage candy choices. I have never seen such a cool place that offers candy and vintage decor. I bought an old game that I use to play as a child and it was in great condition!

We absolutely love this place! I took my 5yr old daughter there and tjey had so much candy stiff from when I was a kid. They had so many specialty chocolate candies amd pretzels & so on. They have like 10 kinds of fudge & we got the praline & rocly road and its some of the best fudge I ever had. If you in the area you have to stop by this lovely old time candy store you wont be disappointed!

The staff was so friendly! The peanut butter/chocolate fudge is the best I have ever tasted!!! I also purchased banana taffy, its awesome!!

Small town candy shop with an incredibly cool story that was aired on PBS’s NC Weekend. I took my daughter here on a date and it was perfect. From the made in USA toys to the unbelievably delicious candy and fair prices!! I highly recommend to anybody. Great place to get gifts for birthdays, holidays and especially Christmas.

If you are in Lexington for a few days you need to stop by here. You step back in time to the 50s / 60s when you open the door. You are literally a little kid again in a candy store again. From the old time floors to the nostalgic items throughout the memories will flow. By the way this is a local candy and chocolate store. Free samples and such are offered. This was a great stop as I ended up getting a custom filled candy box with multiple goodies that you can pick. They gift wrapped the box and put a nice bow and sticker on it.

This place has been a family favorite for years.

Its a cute little place but its pretty pricey. Certain things are a pretty good value, so if you shop smart you might get a good enough value for your money. The fudge is good but not worth the price. The person who bagged my items left one of them out, so Im out four dollars that I spent.

The Candy Factory is near the square in uptown Lexington on Main Street. It is the perfect stop for the young, the young at heart, or anyone looking for a little nostalgia from their childhood. One step inside takes you to another place and time when the times seemed simpler and the candy seemed sweeter. The smell of fresh popcorn wafts in the air and candies from childhood will likely be found there. Be sure to ask for a sample of their homemade fudge.

This is a very cute well decorated store with a large selection of reasonably priced chocolates and candies.I would of given it 5 stars since there is nothing else in this town but the lady that helped us was initially quite rude. Eventually she warmed up to us but it was hard to shake the initial impression.

We came here for Mother’s Day! Just like stepping back in time! The creaking floors, the old fashion candy,the wonderful glass cabinets filled with chocolate perfections. Staff was lovely and very helpful, friendly too! I felt like a kid in a candy shop! We will be sure to visit this great place again.

My last experience was so disturbing I will not return. Since it is the holidays, it was busy and there was extra staff. The customer service was TERRIBLE!! The only man working in the store was extremely RUDE and the staff was very clearly singling out who they chose to speak to, assist and express holiday wishes to. Besides, everything in there is way overpriced. No matter how nostalgic the items are in that store, they will never get a dollar more of my money......

I love The Candy Factory! However the only issue that I had was the customer service. Unfortunately, it was not the best. As the man in front of us was leaving, both women shouted out “have a great fourth and thank you”. However, once myself and a friend were checking out, we said thank you and couldn’t even get a you’re welcome, much less anything else. I think all customers should get treated the same. It was very disappointing.

This is a super cute old fashioned candy shop. Its a total gem!! The employees are fantastic. The candy selection is fantastic they even have a whole sugar free section for the diabetics. They have knickknacks & toys too. 5* Love it!! So cute!!!!

Yes. This place is a real treat! For adults and kids alike! They have so many kinds of candy and chocolates and any kind of sweet you would want including vintage treats too!
