Yum! I just came here for the first time and had their Carolina Dog and a Banana Milkshake.The hot dog was fantastic. The dog had a nice pop when I bit into it-- which is exactly what a good dog is supposed to have! This is the real deal!The hot dog bun came on a grilled slice of Texas toast, which was extremely complimentary to the flavors of the tangy mustard, salty chili and fresh onions.The milkshake was flavorful, rich and creamy, and had chunks of ripe Bananas throughout the mix. Fantastic lunch! Will be back!

First off, the people who run this place are the best. They make you feel like a special guest every time you come in. Second, the food is amazing. Ive traveled all over New England and have yet to find hot dogs as good as this. Do yourself a favor and try this place. Youll thank me later.

I got a classic chili cheese dog! He got a steak bomb! Both were great and we got to play giant checkers while we ate! Cool place and great service! The vanilla milkshake was AMAZING!!!

If you havent been here you are missing out. Come down and get all your favorite style of hotdogs with buns grilled to buttery perfection. Also try some of the other menu items that are out of this world like the steak and cheese which has perfect cheese saturation from first bite to last. The shakes are one of the best in town as well so dont hesitate to come check this place out.

Everything was great, from the atmosphere to the food to the prices. They were so friendly.. even with my rambunctious two year old climbing on benches and making a mess. We got to try the milkshakes, hot dogs, burgers, potato and macaroni salad, and the clam chowder (a must try!) and every single thing was great ..We will be back soon !

Wicked awesome place to get some delicious hot dogs! Prices were very reasonable and the quality was fantastic! The atmosphere is very homey and nostalgic. The shakes are so creamy and delicious. I could only handle a Large but the Freak size sounds amazing! Would definitely come here again for the dogs and shakes!!

Amazing little hole in the wall. Playing good tunes. A variety of options. Cash only. Though they have an ATM in house. The milk shakes are awesome and very filling. The hot dogs are juicy and had the right balance of flavors and condiments. Overall will become a new fav. The staff was full of personality. The chef brought out complimentary. Very yummy Cole slaw. Exactly as advertised, we each had a hot dog and a milkshake for lunch. Lots of topping options. Nothing fancy, but everything youd expect. Consider getting two hotdogs if youre not pairing it with a shake, or maybe three for dinner.

The steak and cheese is very good. But the ice cream, especially the campfire smores one, is soo good.

Stopped in for late lunch, and was pleasantly surprised by the comfortable Boston sports decor and menu. A breath of fresh air when compared to other local spots. Im a transplant to the area so i was instantly impressed. The owner came out from the back and introduced himself and even brought me a sample of another menu item to try followed by a genuine conversation. A must try! Great food and good people!

When we got takeout for our first time here, we ordered one of each to create a hot dog flight. They were all good but the Carolina, Danger, and Dallas dogs scored the highest!We stopped in yesterday because we knew the hot dogs and shakes are amazing, but the friendly staff really sets them apart. Its obvious that they love what they do, and that comes across in every bite or sip of an amazing milkshake. I would give them six stars if I could! Definitely worth the visit!

The food was great! Had the Dallas Dog and mounds milk shake. Will definitely go back for the freak size (large shown below). The games available were a nice touch. Wish they had french fries but the place was cute and the owner checked in on us. Definitely a hidden gem.

Third time trying Shake N Dog, glad to see they are still thriving. We tried the hot dogs and shakes, there good hotdogs. And decent shakes. I wouldn’t say “wow” though. To be honest, the hot dogs taste store bought and cheap and the condiments are not the best. I personally won’t go back because it’s not worth the price for what you get. Cash only makes it less appealing as well. The restaurant has charm and the employees are nice, but I wish they’d offer a better actual hot dog, not a cheap dog that has zero flavor. I know I sound harsh but I’m I have to be honest after trying them three times now.

I’m a little suspicious of the low star reviews. I had a Carolina and a Dallas hot dog. They were massive and delicious! To finish, a peanut butter freak shake. Service was awesome and the owners are super nice and friendly. I dragged a friend from Rhode Island and we both absolutely loved it!

First time there and we loved it! The staff were all really friendly. There are games for kids to play. Hot dogs were delicious. Many different kinds to choose from. But, lets be honest, the real reason to go here are the Freak shakes! I couldnt believe it when they came out. So big and so much stuff in them that you better share with a friend. Well definitely be going back!

This place is awesome. The vibe is nice, the food is awesome- I had a classic veg dog and it was all I’ve ever needed in a hot dog. The people running it care so much about what they’re doing. I had vegan pb and chocolate/pb shakes and they were fantastic, I’m pretty sensitive to dairy and it’s nice to be able to indulge in a shake and not feel like garbage for 2-3 business days afterwards. Can’t stress enough that this place is amazing and I did drive home for an hour after they packaged up my food with care and it travelled so well! Still hot and not spilled the entire way. Can’t wait to come back (:

The food is amazing and worth every minute. The employees are always very friendly and are great at helping you or giving a recommendation for what to try next. They only take cash but their is an ATM inside. It is well worth the trip to eat there.

I remember when Home Depot used to have a hot dog stand infront, and as a kid that used to make trips to the hardware store a lot more memorable. Shake N Dog doesnt just bring back those great hot dog memories its created entire new ones, this place isnt just phenomenal with its service and food, it has an identity that I for one think this area needed more than anything, a new local restaurant that has its own identity and niche that sets it apart from all the other great local food joints.

So I just had the opportunity to purchase some thing from the owner of this company, and he treated me very good, from what I can see this place looks amazing, can’t wait to eat here, you guys look like you’re doing an amazing job, and everything looks so good!!!!

This place is a total gem. Homey yet fun interior, great for being together and socializing. The shakes are great and the dogs are pretty phenomenal...lots of different options for the dogs and most of the toppings are homemade. I love the relish! Owners an workers are the nicest people Ive met. We broke down 45 min way from home n snowing and they allowed us to sit inside the warmth and even after we purchased food which was the best sub ive had they gave us nachos (ahhmazing) refused to take the money . I hope to go back there and thank them again

Hot dogs are awesome! Natural casings add to the tasty snap. Also tried the pasta salad (made with ranch dressing) and it was delicious. Didnt get to try the shakes, but my wife says their chocolate covered strawberry milkshake is next on her list.

The staff were phenomenal To me. The food was incredible. I had the best hotdog and hamburger I’ve had since I’ve been in Massachusetts. I’m from Texas so we know our hamburgers. I felt right at home at this restaurant.

Who doesnt love a good hot dog? This is a great place for a quick bite. They have a really cool, family friendly vibe with table games and music. There is a fantastic variety of dogs to choose from (or you can create your own favorite). We had the classic, cheese, Coney island and slaw. Delicious! The shakes were thick and flavorful. We had a chocolate and a banana shake - crazy yummy! The server and the owner were very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back to try other varieties of shakes n dogs!

If youre expecting a hotdogs like you get at a ball park this is not your place. Almost $7 for a small grocery store hotdog in a bun thats not even toasted and cheap toppings, all after waiting about a half hour for them to cook it. Just go to market basket next time
