I’ve been using City Music in Leominster for a variety of gear for years now, guitars, they beat internet price on a Marshall 50W head n cabinet, I’ve bought pedals along w/other accessories. Great selection for the beginner, (you can buy a well made Washburn acoustic for $200 amongst others) to intermediate level up to the professional musician. The staff is great…Dan and John in sales know their stuff. Oh I almost forgot….it’s undeniable, indisputable and irrefutable!!!….there is NO BETTER GUITAR TECH around and he’s on staff, his name is Doug….he RULES! 🤘🏼
The entire staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. It’s readily apparent that they genuinely love what they do.The prices are ridiculously low, and they’ll match or beat competitor’s prices. They even went above & beyond to fix a special order guitar that was damaged during shipping. The guitar tech was an absolute wizard. After buying gear from big-box stores for the last 25 years, this will be the only place I shop from now on.
This place is great! I love the vibe when you walk in. Everyone was super helpful. I got my sons trumpet cleaned up and ready to play and learned a lot about it too. We will go back here every time for our instrument needs. Also they have lots of cool stuff, tons of guitars and guitar accessories, ukeleles and tongue drums! Its worth checking out even if you dont need anything!
Incredibly kind and helpful staff. they always know how to help with any musical dilemmas. the lessons are amazing. i’ve only been taking lessons for a couple months and i’m so much better than i expected. 10/10
Everyone is so helpful. Most knowledgeable.
Staff is very helpful and friendly, clean spacious location. Ive purchased 3 used pedals from them so far, but they were practically new B Stock and sometimes still in the new wrapper and boxes! Their webstore is easy to navigate and they honored the prices and availability displayed. Well worth the drive out to see them, Ill be keeping my eye on their inventory.
Dan steered me in a great direction once again. Great staff in this store.
They not only had pedals nobody else had in stock, but had them cheaper. Really dig this place.
Great prices and great service. Excellent selection of pedals
Always great buying strings and other accessories in a real store. Support your local music stores!
This place rocks. The staff are next level, and will even call around to their sister store(s?) to make sure you get the product or answer you are looking for. They also offer lessons. I honestly cant wait to go back. I have purchased multiple guitars, drum kits and amps from here, not to mention general supplies. Will be posting a picture of the most recent Schecter I picked up from here.I plan on going back very soon because now my partner wants to buy her new bass here.
I go here every Tuesday for my guitar lesson with Andy Cummings. All the staff is always great to talk with.
Ive been coming here since they bought out the old Fitchburg music, excellent selection of instruments and exceptional service
Friendly retail staff! Very helpful, let me play a new Fender. Im left handed and they had a selection for us Left Handed folks. Teachers are awesome! Check them out!
From start to finish, I had a horrible experience. Staff lacked professionalism, decency and knowledge. I found staff to be condescending and rude. I highly suggest to take you and/or your family’s instruments and lessons somewhere else.
Fantastic store. Fantastic customer service. Gave me $90+ DISCOUNT because the box the item comes in from the manufacturer was slightly dented!! I have bought from them before this transaction and I very likely will do so again and again!! Thnx Steve!! c
Dudes always rude and smug know it all bummers
Great selection and the people are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. My granddaughter loves her ukulele.
Really great service here! The attendant was very helpful and friendly and I felt really good about my whole experience.
Five out of Five would recommend. We had a hiccup with a guitar part we ordered, and there was a mix-up in communication. The owner and employees were so gracious about fixing the problem and ensuring customer satisfaction. Great team, great support, great store.
Excellent service everytime I go in, no pressure, just help if you need it. Best music store around !!
Wow - Ive found the staff Ive interacted with to be extremely helpful and knowledgeable, the prices to be great, and Ive found them to be willing to bend over backwards to be accommodating. I have found just the opposite at Guitar Center. Im a big fan of supporting local business, and City Music is one of my favorites.
Great experience! Really friendly, knowledgeable, helpful staff.Jay was so friendly and great. I purchased a digital piano and other items through them last December. They were more than accommodating and offered an easy no hassle layaway plan AND let me pick up on Xmas Eve. I thought their prices were as good as if not cheaper than other places I looked. When I picked up, they found a way to get the items for less than I originally thought I would pay. Love this place! Going back for Easter presents now.
I have bought many bigger priced items here and they always manage to get me a better price. Very nice guys who are willing to help you out within reason of course. I highly recommend trying them before a bigger name or online.
I cant say enough good things about this business. These guys went out of their way to find a particular amp I was looking for, which is an example of their excellent customer service. Skip guitar center, and stop by City Music. Youll be glad you did!
Very rude when it comes to buying instruments. They say on their website will buy your used drums. Thats BULL! it shouldnt matter how top notch the brand is. Sell it to someone who wants a drumset but doesnt have the $1,200 to spend on one.I called them yesterday and asked them if they would be interested in buying my used drumset that has been used only a few times. Came with everything! When the guy answered he was very rude, I told him about the set and he was like thats a basic set and we only take high quality sets.
I have taken guitar lessons here for years. Their employees are nice and willing to help. Their prices are good. Their lessons are 1 on 1, so you get help personally on whatever problems you have.
Brought in my guitar for a loose jack, asked to lower strings alil w/ neck set up, i had medium jumbo frets.. he shaved those down, high frets dont evan work, charges me extra to mess up my whole neck, says it was a curtisy
Im surprised to see such a negative review. Honestly, the owners and staff found some amazing instruments for us at very competitive prices as well as throwing in a few free items. We have purchased three guitars, a ukulele, and a keyboard for our family through City Music. They are the first place we go because we know theyre quite knowledgeable, offer good deals, and very pleasant to deal with.
Home of all musical instruments
I worked with Nancy to get me a pair of Shure headphones with an in-line mic. There was a little hiccup in the ordering process but it was handled amazingly well and with a customer first attitude. I was super impressed and will be making additional musical purchases at City Music again. THANK YOU!
Great prices and the dudes and gals in there are helpful and nice.
Music stores rock and this place does too!
Very helpful, nice people, private sound proof rooms for lessons
Very kind and professional. Outstanding quality work and customer service.
I love city music this the best place to go and I love the guitar center I love both of these places
Best store ever. Period.
City Music has been a great store to deal with. Weve purchased a ukelele and mandolin from the Leominster store and were very satisfied with the help we received in choosing which instrument to purchase. The sales person was very knowledgeable about the instruments and which one might be best for our needs. We had plenty of time to try out the instruments on display and didnt feel rushed into making a choice. The prices were competitive. Im also happy to support a local business which gives back to the community by hosting its FutureStars Showcase where local musicians compete. City Music has also donated money to the Leominster and Gardner public school systems.
Great selections. Lessons available for many instruments.
Not customer friendly. We drive an hour + to go elsewhere.
