Honestly, when first time they call me I google Apria and saw low review rate and I hesitated to make business with them. I started calling other different companies but I found Apria price for the cpap is the best, plus they allow payments. After they call me several times I decided to go with them. I spoke to Kevin and he scheduled my appointment and he was flexible and helpful. I went to Lenexa office and everything was ready. Rob was professional and very patient, and explained everything and answered all my questions. In a few days I found that the mask I picked up is not comfortable for me. I called and they scheduled a fitting appointment. I went to the fitting appointment and Kenisha was professional too and very respectful and helped me pick up the right mask. Then, Apria called me after few days for follow up. Thank you Apria.

Zero to very little education on using devices. Machine just dropped off at my house and had to navigate use independently. After 5 months, still not getting any positive results from use and now being charged for not using enough. I dont know many companies with worse service. Take your business elsewhere if possible.

I’m not a patient. I use the VA, but they stopped reading cards for CPAP machines and I needed my card read for my DOT.Kevin instructed me to go into their office and they would take care of me.I went in, they were able to read the card and give me a report on the spot.Quality customer service, especially since I am not even a patient of theirs.Thank you Kevin and Apria.

Apria mailed me a CPAP machine they said had been approved by my insurance (after a sleep study with Blackstone). I had no idea this had been approved because my physician never discussed the results of the sleep study with me. Evidently Blackstone put in the request. I did not WANT this machine, and EXPLAINED that in detail several times with Aphria. i DIDNT WANT IT; IT WAS NEVER USED; yet they continued to bill my insurance company and me! For 6 months now they are still billing me. I am going to report their fradulent billing to my insurance companyt, because as of today 12-11-20 they are still billing me for something I RETURNED TO their office several months ago. I told them my doctor and I never discussed the results yet they said I had OKd the purchase (rental) by something they emailed me requiring a signature, implying my doctor had approved this. Not sure how my doctor could approve this without ever talking to me about it. They have BILLED my insurance monthly since July despite the fact I NEVER USED IT; was never turned on, OR TAKEN OUT OF THE BOX. They kept sending emails saying the unit WASNT TRANSMITTING, and I kept telling them it was because I wasnt using it, and it had never been taken out of the case! These people are predators! They dont care about the facts or their customers.

Apria was great in my experience with them.Doctor called their office with the prescription and I was called by Apria in less than 24 hours to set up an appointment to come to their location. All done within a few days. Much better experience with them than another medical supplier I was referred to.

The 1 star reviews are reviews of the “customer service” call center. This College Boulevard Apria office is top notch. I was treated kindly and with respect. The respiratory therapist that assisted me was great. She knew the equipment and explained it clearly and concisely. It made getting my sleep apnea equipment a pleasant experience.

Wow, I have never had an experience with anyone this incompetent! It took a couple months for them to receive the doctors orders. They refused to allow me to use my CPAP over 5 years old. Let me tell you why: Because they can bill Medicare every 5 years. So they force you to purchase from them. Then they didnt verify my address - either on the doctors order or by asking me. They almost shipped $1,000 worth of equipment to a 20 year old address in the ghetto in a different state. I did not want to have them bill my debit or credit card. I was told there was no option. When I said I wanted to mail a check, I was told that they just cant handle that. I said, so if I mail you a check, you wont cash it? Frustrated, and in need my equipment, I thought I would take a chance. BAD DECISION. My invoice clearly lists one amount due. I was charged more. Then a couple days later, I was charged through my bank AGAIN. I called the main number and they then told me that there was nothing they could do. I finally got them to reverse that charge, but they cant refund the difference of the first overcharge. As soon as I can, I am returning the equipment and hope to be rid of this company forever. The equipment is nice, but this amount of stress is not worth it. I fully expect, that despite telling them to cancel my credit card information, and despite having set up checks to mail to them earlier than the due date, they will charge my card. DO NOT trust these people. My sister works in healthcare, and they are bad everywhere, apparently. Absolutely awful and predatory practices. I want this nightmare over with!

I was using Apria for my cpap supplies. They are the worst. The billing department is shady at best. You can order everything via Amazon for less out of pocket. Pass on Apria

I’m exhausted with the whole experience. I am close to the dang office and want to just pop over there to get my new machine. You can’t even get ahold of the office even if you call their direct line. I understand 7-10 business days but come on! I guess not breathing up to 60 times an hour is no ones problem but my own 😕

I recently had a great experience with this company. Truly excellent customer service shown by an Apria employee. Shawnee Mission Physicians Group (best primary care office in the area!) ordered a nebulizer for me as I suffer from asthma. 2-3 days later a gentleman called me, attempting to deliver my machine. He had called my work and cell a few times trying to get ahold of me due to an address miscommunication. He went as far as offering a workplace delivery, as it was on his way home. That would have been off the clock. Luckily, that wasnt necessary. He found my home in the end. This gentleman was truly concerned about my health and went above and beyond the norm to do his job. Thank you!

Would give a zero if possible. Have been a customer for almost two decades. Apria refused to sell me a new CPAP outright using my insurance and tried to force me into a rent to own contract that would have cost me hundred$ more out of pocket. Bad service and a customer last attitude. If you do business with them expect the worst and you wont be disappointed.Update: After trying my best to do business with Apria they flat out refused to sell me the new CPAP and all related supplies as a straight purchase using insurance. Home Care Med in Lees Summit had zero issues taking care of me. Is it any wonder Apria has such a lousy customer rating? There are other choices for consumers; at some point Apria will realize that.

Too bad I cant give them a zero or negative rating. Absolutely the most difficult, non-responsive, least caring and totally apathetic health care provider EVER. In addition to the corporate services provided (nearly non-existent), the Lenexa office couldnt be less worried about their customers. When I start looking around for other DME suppliers and describe the horrible treatment received from Apria, everyone says they hear the same thing. Fortunately, my doctor steered me away from Apria and to a good DME supplier. So glad to be done with these people. Oh, and by the way - theyre a clip joint as well. Found my CPAP supplies about 30% cheaper by doing a little comparison shopping.

Very difficult to work with. The operator you talk to to order your needs need a lot of training. Ask to speak to a superior and was not able to talk to one. They most likely are hiding.If I knew the challenge I am dealing with, I would have not used this company.

This is the worst place to get supplies..I was told they were ready to bring my crutches the day of my surgery i said lets do it the next day. I was told they would be out that morning. I called to get the time they were coming an was told they had to order my crutches.. WHAT...its seems they tell you anything...I told them how I was rating this as poor. Never again will I recommend or use there service.

Beyond furious with the service from this company. please, use literally ANYONE ELSE! they lied to me about the equipment they were sending, lied to me about my benefits, refused to return my equipment after i received it, told me i would not be billed, billed me months after the fact, still would not return my brand new, unopened, unused equipment, then told me nothing could be done because i had exceeded the 30 day return window. ive wasted hours on hold with their customer service and billing departments, and everyone tells me nothing can be done. this is the worst company i have ever had the misfortune of using, EVER!

After 5 phone calls, I finally managed to force customer service to do thier job! I requested home service and Customer service asked me Dont You Drive? so I guess my wife has to drive for an hour through highway construction since apria cant be bothered... Lesson learned, time to start looking fo another company.

Working with Apria has been excruciatingly unproductive. My doctor sent my order to them over a month ago. They have billed my insurance and my debit card but have not shipped out my machine, will not tell me why it hasn’t been shipped or when it will be shipped. Every time I call I am placed on multiple holds exceeding 5 minutes each and transferred to other departments. I have been told each of the past 5 times that I have called that it will be looked into and I will be called back by the end of the day on rack of several days and have not received a call back. Save yourself the time, money and frustration - find a cpap provider that doesn’t route all calls to a foreign call center where customer service goes to die.

Been waiting several months for my product. My product has never moved forward on ‘intake’, been told to wait for a phone call in “a couple hours” about 4 times without a call back. I even had insurance and Apria on 3 way phone call to complete ‘intake’ process, still didn’t get order filled.

The process of getting a CPap machine for an elderly family member has been beyond irritating. Customer Service receives zero stars for taking the detailed information and no follow-up. Our process started with Apria in December 2018; the machine was picked-up mid February and paid for. The machine has been in use for 3 weeks and now the hose broke; another 10 days to wait because replacement parts are shipped by mail. Honestly we can drive to the Lenexa office and pick it up in 10 minutes. Apria will not give you a direct phone number to the office you need to work with. Like previous post have stated; we are routed across the nation. Apria, at least respond to a phone message or email.

The branch manager was very rude to me. Apria health clams that for first 30 days you can try different masks and its free of charge to change a mask. When I went there they gave me a demo mask and when I asked them to replace it the branch manager said sorry we can just change 1 mask in 30 days. When I asked her to show me in writing she said that she will not do that. They charge very high for every thing. You can get the same thing for half rate from Amazon or other websites. Its the worst company to work with.

Zero stars.... absolute scum of the earth bottom of the barrel company. They cant even tell you what their supplies cost. When asked what supplies would cost if paying cash with no insurance they literally couldnt tell me. Place is a joke! After going elsewhere to CPAP supplies because I realized I could get them cheaper elsewhere without using insurance they decided I owed them $96 for orders from 8 months ago. They claimed that they miscalculated what Humana was going to pay. Funny because theyre so in bed with Humana that Apria is the only DME provider they let you use. Then it takes them over half a year to decide that they didnt bill everything correctly. I had statements from those orders that showed a zero balance after what I had paid. They didnt care about that and sent me to collections. I finally paid the $96 to get them to stop calling. Then they fraudulently billed my new insurance (Aetna) for 2 CPAP machines in August and September of 2018. I purchased my CPAP from them in May of 2016 and use the same one still. This company is a prime example of how jacked up our for profit health care system is.--- update... .figured out what they did. When I sent them the $96 that had been sent to collections they didnt know how to apply it to my zero balance account. (I sent the money to Apria, not the collection agency.) They rang up 2 cpap machines 2 months in a row and then billed my old credit card on file the $4 difference of $50 deductible each time. Ive turned this over to Aetna for them to investigate but this is just unbelievable.

Customer service is non- existent. Have to go to warehouse for oxygen tanks. They wont deliver. Well warehouse not open weekends. So if you have an emergency Apria wont help.

My mother had to go thru this co. For oxygen. The guy that came, at first was rude but then he became ok and approachable. She had to change to another co and called to have apria take back their stuff. The number they had for her was wrong, was told was corrected like a month ago. They set up to take today between 8 and noon. She was suposed to go in to work after. Called repeatedly and left messages. No one would answer, even when i blew their phone up. She called the after 5 number and the guy got mad and said im IT, how you get this #. Was on the sheet apria guy gave her. The next # she called, He said it was changed to tom. She sat home ALL day! She has a dr appt and work tom and had to call several ppl b4 finding this out. She asked what # they have, no one fixed it and they called wrong #, again. Very unprofessional!

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!! Customer service is a complete joke. They barely speak english and will transfer or hang up on you if they dont have the correct answer for your question.
