Currently, I teach privately at REW Music and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time there so far! I started during Covid-19 and have received nothing but support and encouragement from the staff, owners, and students/parents. REW is constantly looking for creative solutions to problems. I have been impressed with the different ways they keep learning and teaching fresh and interesting. You can truly tell how much everyone cares about the emotional, educational, and mental wellbeing of their customers and staff.

I was a teacher at REW music. This is my first job at United States. But it is really a bad experience! Before I sign the contract. They told me they have 12 student available. After I sign. I only got 1 students last year November. They paid me 46.17! During last 7 month. The highest one they paid me 417.75 . They said I can’t have another job near them! What you want I do? I got my masters degree. Why I can’t be a teacher at other places? Is that means if you are professor a UMKC, You can’t teach at other place? After you quit, you can’t be a professor for one year?! So what you want I do? give up my music career for one year?! That contract is not Legal!!!! I told them I will quit. I also told them I can teach for one more month. Then after two weeks they said I broken the rules(teach at other place, if I don’t teach. I can’t feed my cat !), whey you don’t tell me when I said I could like to quit?. They did not give me my check $161 for June. Also asked me to pay them $210 for student deposit. Excuse me? I could like to pay it to homeless, but I won’t pay you! If you can’t treat your teacher well, you won’t have good teacher forever. Their only care about money, not about student and teacher. If you are a teacher. Be careful to sign any paper!!

Introduction to instruments was great. Very knowledgeable instructors.

I rented a bass clarinet from the REW yesterday. The service I received was outstanding. Paul waited on me and was very helpful and friendly. Also, the Dir of Educ got involved and was also quite helpful. I would highly recommend REW to anyone interested in renting or buying an instrument, and also anyone interested in taking lessons.

Great staff, and my daughters music teacher is very professional.I only wish they had a larger performance area when they do their performances... Standing room only.The place is rather spartan, but Im paying for quality instruction. Ill take function over form when it comes to that.

There was a teacher, her name is Lulu. I preciously had my 2 kids learn violin from Lulu. Because of her, I recommended my friends to go to rew music. And I just heard from Lulu, and how the store tricked her to sign the whether it is legal or not agreement, and yes, they refused to pay her last check. This is not acceptable. Friends, please don’t go to this place. Its also a RIPOFF studio as well. I’m worried how they treat kids now.

As a musician throughout school growing up, and into college myself- I spent many hours in music stores. I did not always have great experiences. The owners and staff at REW are the most kind, honest and helpful people Ive ever experienced in this industry. I cannot say enough great things about this business. Both stores in Lenexa and Olathe are fantastic and under the same ownership. Highly recommend!

The staff at REW Olathe and Lenexa are equally amazing! We were having my sons trumpet repaired and they kept me well informed during the entire process. They made sure they checked with me before making and repairs ensuring they had approval before moving forward. They have been a great part of my sons music background.

Great music store. Honest advice to parents about their children being ready to play an interment! Having people develop their musical talent is REWs purpose.

So, this is the music REW studio. The owner treats their teacher really bad, they hire teacher, and ask teachers to sign a contract that prevent teachers going anywhere to teach, but their pay was toooooo low, ONLY pay 300, PER MONTH! So if you are music teacher, do not cholose this agency. other unbelieve this is that their owner was so stupic, he did not know how to do that.

As we left Rew Music the other night, my daughter asked me why we were there instead of at the Competitor that teams with my daughters school. I was thrilled (as it was a great Business Case Study) to point out to her the differences. Rew Music does business the right way. They take all the time necessary with their clients with no sense of rush or pushiness and provide the best buying experience. She came in to decide if a step up in instrument was worth it, and if so, which instrument. Gabe brought in five Clarinets (3 were used from other locations) and had them all laid out before we arrived for her to try. He went out of his way to not tell prices, so that we wouldnt be influenced to believe one was better because it cost more. He told her what to look for as she tried the instruments... because she didnt know how to decide if one was better for her or not. He patiently waited while she spent over an hour switching back and forth between the Clarinets and deciding if there was a difference and if it was a worth-while upgrade. At the end of the evening, we didnt buy... she needed to sleep on it. Which he was fine with. The next day she knew which one she wanted and I went to pick it up. The entire experience was awesome in too many ways to articulate in an online review. Visit Rew Music and experience it for yourself. If you have a sales job or a customer service job... learn from what you experience at the best music store in Kansas City. This was only one of our great experiences at Rew... and every representative has been top notch.
