The U-Haul at 95th and Marshall Drive has the best help in the world. Out of all their locations that I have used this one is definitely top notch.A young man named Mike did the hook up. He had PLENTY OF TIME to go over with me how to unhook and drop. Answer all my questions. Sooo courteous.Then the gentleman at the counter, Chris. Actually made me feel like “I” was important as a customer. Not just someone to take the money. Shove them out the door.I highly recommend this location.

I called the 800 number and was on the phone 3 times confirming a truck and appliance dolly. Drive 55 minutes one way to pick them up. Upon arrival the store employee told me they had no dollies, and the phone reservation staff doesn’t have access to that info. No solution was offered. I went back out to the parking lot and called local rental centers for a dolly rental, found one and went back in to get the van. The store employee said he found a dolly and sent me down the highway to pick it up at another UHaul location. Kudos to the employee for making things work, but zero for UHaul for not being better organized and informed.

Phone Number directs you 100% to out of town customer service after A long wait. They 3 times made an appointment for installation and never had the part. Missing work and scheduled pick up ride takes $$$ and peoples time with is not respected. It’s been 3 weeks and multiple phone calls and emails to Chris manager for 1 SIMPLY REQUEST. CALL ME BE BACK AND COMMUNICATE!

After the truck was sent back to U-Haul, the gentleman did an inspection but did not report that there was almost $200 worth of merchandise still in the back of the truck. I called uhaul when we discovered that the items were still in the truck and it took uhaul FIVE DAYS to return my call. I even called in twice. Of course by that time my items were thrown in the trash. I talked to a representative and the only thing they can do is offer an apology. Wouldn’t you think that at the inspection, the gentleman should have asked if what was in the truck belonged to us?

Wow! Never thought Id be writing a review for a Uhaul. Great experience with the pick up and drop off of our U Box! Everyone was super friendly and got me in and out quickly even on a very busy Saturday! Great people!

Chris was an amazing help getting me a 27 truck for a last minute move. He worked with me for 3 days until we could get it unloaded and returned. Great communication...no need to go anywhere else!

Took me longer to reserve my trailer than it did for me to use it and bring it back. Sigh...Called them to make a reservation. I was on hold for 30 minutes and then when someone finally answered they immediately hung up on me. Then I called again and waited a further 25 minutes before someone finally answered but it was someone at corporate, not at the location. I wanted to know if they had a trailer available. Since I couldnt talk to anyone at the actual location, the lady on the phone insisted on my name, phone number, address, email address and credit card before she could tell me if the trailer I needed was available. It literally took a half an hour. So - I spent an hour and a half reserving a trailer, which I picked up at 5:30. I waited in line to pick it up for 25 minutes so I didnt leave until just a few minutes before 6. I returned the trailer at 6:45. Sigh.During my time in line I got to listen to some band practicing in the back. I dont know who allows a loud band to practice during business hours when it clearly impacts the customers in the lobby. Very unprofessional.The girl at the desk was friendly enough and the guy outside was very friendly as well.Overall, Id never come here again unless it was absolutely necessary like it was this time. I always rent from the one on 79th and Metcalf but they didnt have what I needed. They answer the phone themselves, have plenty of help at the desk, are friendly, and and tell me if they have what I need without all the hoopla. And theres no band practicing in the back.

I went to get my propane tanks filled. Went to the place. No one offered to help. I was left alone for at least 20 min. Then I got inside the shop I saw young lady with a man walking around not doing anything. I asked them can some one help me plz. They said OK but not really. Like they doing me a favor or giving it to me for free. I font my tanks filled up. The young man didn’t turn the knot on my tank fully on close position. It leaked all the gas while I’m driving home. Thank god no one smoked close to my truck. Other wise would have caused serious damage. I don’t recommend any one to go at this location. And if u do. Check after the employee. Don’t trust him. No experience and not interested to work. Believe me they don’t even deserve 1 flag. Rude workers.

I swung by this location because their appliance dolly rental price is very reasonable. The people inside working are very friendly and helpful. They had what I needed and made the whole rental process very easy. Id recommend doing business with them.

I would advise you to take your business ANYWHERE besides this U-Haul.I setup an appointment to get a tow hitch installed on my car for 2 pm on a weekday. The morning of, I wake up to find a missed call and voicemail. I get transcribed voicemails, so here is what it said:This is Sam at the U-Haul in Lenexa. I was calling about your hitch reservation that youd put in. I was just calling to see if there was any way you could drop it off sooner than two. If you could, give us a call back a (phone number). Thank you.I tried calling back multiple times, but just got forwarded to a global customer support line. At 10:38 am, I received another phone call from them. I picked up the phone, but they immediately hung up on me. I tried calling back, but again got forwarded to customer support.Strangely, I then received an email my appointment was now scheduled for 10 am! That was 38 minutes ago, but I guess they can just do that?I remained on the line with customer support, who then reached out to the location to try to get Sam. They could not, so they left a message.Around 11:15 am, my wife and I decided we could probably run by very quickly to drop off my car between meetings. After driving 15 minutes, I finally got another call from Sam.This time, Sam claims there isnt anyone to complete my order today. Despite saying in the earlier voicemail that I just needed to get there sooner, suddenly they need to make me drop off my car some other day.Im not going to reschedule an appointment with this place because I obviously cant trust anything they say. They wasted our time and didnt seem to care.

This UHaul place was nice. Bigger than most I have seen and they have storage too with security cameras. There were a few people in line when we arrived. Checking in to get my uhaul was good, they sent me a text in which I was able to use to check out the uhaul before driving it off the lot. They have lots of cool packing options, like tape with labels on it, like living room, etc! Overall the process was easy. Thank you for taking care of us!

We have used this location twice, and are truly pleased! We reserved our truck online (I highly recommend doing this to ensure availability!), so the pick-up process was so easy. The first time renting, we opted out of the insurance they provide, but the second time we purchased the $14 option, and it gave peace of mind--those trucks are BIG!The employees are polite, efficient, and have a great sense of humor. Well be back! Highly recommend!

Best U-Haul location in the KC area! The staff is very knowledgeable and very friendly. They will help you get what you need, quick, and get you on the road. I had a concern with a service truck and they replaced within minutes without any issues. Again, the staff is amazing and extremely helpful. Highly recommend that you use this location if looking for a rental!

If I could give a zero I would! Take your business to Penske! Very rude customer service. They messed up our 48 hour reservation and made it a 24 hour reservation so we were charged late fees etc, they put a hold onto our account for over $300, they NEVER answer the phone and you have to wait 15 to 20 minutes for the uhaul service to answer, and the general manager Chris was very rude on the phone and called my husband a stupid cracker 😡

I cant say enough about this group. I wish I could remember the names of the two that helped me. They were a mother & daughter that just made my day so much easier. I had the worst day of moving with a company that I will never hire again. I ended up needing a storage unit after renting a truck from here and it was like they understood what I was dealing with and took care of me so I had no more issues. I will never go any place else when I need storage or a truck. Thank you so much!!

Ok, I was moving myself out of a 3 bedroom house earlier this month, ALONE. I packed up all my heavy things in a 10 foot U-Haul truck and took it to storage. It took me two days instead of one to get everything into the unit. I did not go over the mileage I said. Actually I was under. There was no damage to the truck. I called them up and dropped it off right when they closed the next day. These people waited an extra day then charged me for 3 days of usage and all these extra fees including the safe move surcharge. The thing that really took the cake is I called them and was speaking to a representative while I was dropping the truck off. They hung up on me! I’m never using them again, telling everyone I know, and thank god I moved out of the area because this is an experience I never want to repeat. I completely understand getting charged another day. That is fair. There was no damage to the truck because it sat in the driveway the entire time I was moving except when I had to use the lawn to turn around, no trees around and nothing to hit the truck. Before you work with these robbers, beware. For real.

Very busy place but very helpful staff. I have rented trailers here several times and have always had quick service and easy drop-off.

Oh my god this place. Its so efficient. After my experience I had with public storage, this place was heaven. Made my reservation and appointment online and they had me in and out of there within 5 minutes. The only thing that took any sort of time was them describing to us how we could maximize our efficiency and minimize our cost. If I would have know they did storage as well, I would have come here to store my stuff, even if it is ever so slightly more expensive than public storage. To check our truck back in was also super fast. They looked at the truck for any damage, checked the gas and mileage, and refunded me money in less than 2 minutes. It was so awesome.

The staff is generally friendly, unless you make a claim on their insurance. If you do, they are rude and will try to guilt you into not making the claim. The last time I dropped a one way truck, the woman looked at me and said in a condescending tone, “oh we’re aware of you.”I’m giving them two stars, because the outside staff is friendly and efficient with returns. They will also give you time to double check the truck and sweep it out. They’ll loan you a broom if you ask for one.

Ive had excellent experiences both times I came here. The first time, dropping off my truck, they were very quick and professional. Later, they were closed but saw me at the locked front door and rushed to help me, even though it was clear I was only returning unused supplies. Awesome customer service!

Go to this location over the one on Metcalf. Better service. Been to both and each time this is true. If you rent a trailer make sure your lights work before you go get it. If the lights dont work after hooked up And depending on who helps you there, you may or may not get help in correcting your problem. The lights on my trailer rental did not work when connected to my truck. But, it was an electrical failure in the trailer, not my truck. So, be prepared.

Made a reservation complete with all personal information, 3 contacts, payment info, etc. went to pick up my vehicle, and had to re-enter all of the information again. Pushing my leave time back 20 minutes. The vehicle was literally empty when I picked it up and when I asked the representative they simply said sorry and shrugged. Allegedly I’ll get reimbursed for any fuel I return it with but judging by my experience so far I doubt it. Now I’m on the phone trying to get info on the movers I rented through U-Haul who have not contacted me, have taken my deposit, and won’t answer my calls. U-Haul has had me on hold for 15 minutes and when I got a representative, she didn’t ask any information from me and simply said “I’ll put you through to customer service” and put me on hold again. 17 minutes on hold and counting. Do yourself a favor and use any other company

Great people, last night went to return a car transporter and a nice pick up truck it was already 7:45 pm and this two young ladies were more than willing to help me unload my vehicle they were extremely knowladgeble and guided me unloading from the trailer and provided support and Supplies to accomplish such task I was able to breath again after seing my Supra on ground safe and sound with out any single scratchCongratulations to those two young ladies in the Lenexa location

In the middle of a rainstorm they filled my propane tank. The employee wore what looked like a company-provided, full coverage rain jacket... Nice they thought of their employees that way.

Customer service was rude when I called about a $30 refund, it was for charges held on the account since I paid with card. The nice lady that check me out after picking up the vehicle said it would return instantly. It didnt so I called, I only used this service because I was in a pinch for time. I wont be using them again. Unnecessary rudeness.

This is a very big facility. It is kept very clean and secure. They need expanded hours though. Sometimes it is difficult to get in under their time restrictions.

Completely and totally awful. The text message confirmation of the appointment---haha! We showed up at 7AM and the place was CLOSED (apparently Zach rescheduled the appointment for us without saying anything). Then we showed up at the rescheduled time and U-Haul did not have the right parts. Apology? Please, that would be too much to ask.

Knowledgable, friendly, helpful and caring people work there. They always try hard to get you the right vehicle, trailer or accessories for your move.

Have been going to this U-Haul location for 7 years and Ive never had a single problem or complaint. The only thing I wish they start doing is renting the new trucks! Every time I go to rent a truck there I get a ~1992 model with 300k miles... I want to get a new truck!

If I could give less than 1 star I would. The owner of this location was rude and confrontational to a paying customer. He even elevated the confrontation to the parking lot and defied me the customer to do anything about his bad attitude. I will never rent here again and would suggest if you want to be respected for your business to do likewise.The employees were great, but the owner is a jerk, trying to elevate our disagreement to a physical level. Take your business elsewhere, to another u-haul location or another company. Teach this guy a lesson There is a u-haul at 78th and Metcalf and another in Olathe not far away. Do not support a jerk.

This is by far the worst uhaul in the country we called for help with directions and the manager that answered the phone didnt say anything about no trucks available after we show up he says no trucks available when clearly there was 20 plus trucks there we only needed to rent it for few hours we call 800 number she makes the reservation go back in the place and we were refused a truck because we work for United Van Lines the Manager said he was so sick of our company and hated renting to us mind you we are in Lenexa Kansas and are from St. Louis I have never been talk down to like this before now we have to drive 6 miles to different uhaul and are late to our job how rude this is not customer service we generally rent 4 or 5 trucks a month never been talk to like this before

I flew in from Virginia to help my dad move and they didnt reserve what they said they did. The gentleman was smug, rude, and Chris Smith made rude and crude comments.I would call multiple times to confirm if you have to use them ( also we did that so just be careful)

Completely incompetent people. Wasted a ton of my time. I would go ANYWHERE else. They set an appointment for a hitch install 2 weeks in advance, confirmed it, and then changed it the day before without telling me. I showed up for the time they revised it to and they did not have the correct parts. They then tried to confirm another wrong date. Cancelled the installation.

I had a terrible experience at this location. This location is run by a bunch of high school teenagers as a job after school. Im extremely disappointed by the service. There was no professionalism at all. I was not warned by the $80.00 deposit that you had to pay, nor did I get a receipt of my refund by e-mail because no one ever obtained this information. When I called the store they let me know they did me a favor because I paid with a credit card that they didnt charge me $100.00 I would never go back there again and do not recommend it to anyone.
