Honestly, this is the best experience I have ever had with a Penske Rental, and our company rents from Penskes in multiple states.I spoke with Matt to set up the reservation, and once I arrived Jake helped everything go smoothly. Both were personable and professional. The truck was ready on time, and I was in and out within 10-15 minutes. They have some great people working at this location. Keep up the good work! Your customers appreciate it.

These guys were great. The truck was ready and very clean when I got it. They didnt nickel and dime and were very reasonable about the rental. I would definitely rent from them again. Actually, they would be my go-to anytime I need to box truck.

Why Penske doesnt market more aggressively to the DIY mover is beyond me lol!The team at this location are very professional, friendly, polite, and go the extra mile to accommodate every detail of your rental, be it near or far, without hesitation. Upfront and honest pricing, no surprises or hidden costs...what youre initially quoted & reserve is what you pay. Nice AAA discount plus active & veteran military discounts, that stack. Very fairly priced additional coverage insurance options, that honestly surprised me, and gave us great peace of mind for our 750+ mile move in a 26 diesel beast WITH an off-ground tow dolly attached.A gentleman in a suit got down on his hands & knees, unprompted, to attach tow dolly chains to secure our car, even though there were service/mechanical employees right there...in more, appropriate attire. Provided invaluable information on exactly how & how not to maneuver the size equivalent of a semitruck we had just rented and explained the physics & natural laws of driving this prodigious vehicle. Plus, it was a brand new 2019 truck that was surprisingly comfortable and had bells & whistles you wouldnt necessarily expect for example, Bluetooth, USB & heated mirrors. Cabin was more than spacious with easily adjustable seats & steering column.By far the best moving truck rental service we have ever used and definitely the best priced. Beating their major competitor, you know the one where U-DIY by hundreds of dollars and we sacrificed nothing for it.May still buy moving supplies with the other guys, but will only rent a truck with Penske for any future moves!

How is it that you schedule an appointment for Thursday afternoon to have your truck serviced and by Monday morning the service still isnt complete? Mind boggling. If I had my way, I wouldnt patronize this location. POOR SERVICE

I have been a customer there for over 15 years. I really like the people that run this place. Always helpful and they do the best that they can do on help a driver out. I would rate this Penske the best one in over a 300 mile radius of Kansas City and Ive been to them all.

Everything was great, they had a truck available right away when our reservation at Uhaul didnt go through for reasons that were unavoidable.

The Penske crew are great people just trying to get in and out with parking a tractor trailer is a very pain it gets very stress full

Brother drove from Vegas in there great trks then drove 2 NE with it.

Delivered trucks there, extremely ticky during inspections but who wouldnt want to be on a new truck. They dont provide you anything at all, bring your axle pans and plenty of wood. Always park Z-wings in the rear so a wrecker can get you.

I fk w Penske but I bet a fan mounted in the corner of each box truck back in trailer would be good for business. Even movement of hot air would be a blessing bk there.

Took a truck there at 9.00 am on Thursday. Check engine light was on. They said they would look at it by six. I called back later and they said they couldn’t do it to wait till morning. Called again in the morning and Joey said they can’t do anything until Wednesday. This guys didn’t even look at it to diagnose. Took it to a different location in KCMO where it took them 20 mins to diagnose and 1 hour to fix! My black people keep off 😡

The staff at Penske is very professional and they really keep there trucks maintained. The best rental and lease options hands down. Troy, Megan,Amanda, Tomas etc are all wonderful to work with. I wont take my business anywhere else

I particularly like the kind of repair service Penske locations delivered when I needed their equipment fixed...both in shop and on the road.Ive found the folks at their call centers very helpful and proactive in getting me back rolling (cmv).

Penske website has 16 foot cabovers listed for $250 a week at my local office. When I called, they said those are $800 a week because of a liftgate, Really!? That was not even an option on the site. I expect better information on a website. Very unprofessional.

Pre-trip truck very closely have had them send out rental trucks that have drivers seats that are bearly attached to base, leaking air lines tires that are borderline out of service. Ect----

This is the 2nd time I have used Penske to move instead of U-Haul. The first time we used Penske it was flawless and totally affordable - but this time was an absolutely disorganized nightmare. From calling the call center to book to returning the truck it was a giant mess. First off, the call center agent booked the wrong truck and time and told me the confirmation email would be incorrect but not to worry, she had all the info corrected....okay so I trusted her. The price was steeper than last time but that was fine, I understand with time prices change. The morning of our move we left plenty early to get there on time to get our truck and get our move going, we had friends and family at our old address waiting on us to get back to start loading. When we arrive to the Lenexa Penske location I realize about 10 mins prior I had missed a call from a man Dan who worked at the location...at this point im already sitting in their parking lot - I call back to see what he needed and as it turns out they did NOT have my truck and he was calling 20 MIN UTES before my scheduled pick up to let me know that. I dont use my phone while driving so of course I didnt get the courtesy call. I booked A WEEK in advance to ensure this did not happen. He proceeds to tell me another location has the truck I need and invited me inside to talk about it. Thats when I realize that the call center agent did indeed book THE WRONG TRUCK - not the wrong time. I asked for a 22 ft truck she booked me for a 26. I explain to Dan i do not need a 26 ft - and lucky me they dont have a 22ft for me EITHER. So I have no choice but to go to another location to get a truck.... which he tried to smooth over by saying it was just down the street .... maybe one of his reps could have gone and got the truck for us, now that would have been customer service, but nope, he just showed us a map. The truck is charged mileage and of course im irritated at this point because my new pick up location is even further from my house which will result in more mileage ontop of the inconvenience. He offers a small discount and I am annoyed and just need to get my stuff moved as it was my ONLY DAY OFF to get it done so I agree and leave to go get the truck. He sends me with no paper work but assures me he will call the location and give them a heads up that we were coming so that my truck would be ready to go so I could be in and out.........mkay so I get to Home Depot to pick up my truck and the girls behind the counter are too busy dealing with other employees and damaged products and what not that it takes around 3-4 minutes for us to even be GREETED. I then proceed to tell them my situation and go figure, THEY WERE CLUELESS!!! Which makes me believe maybe Dan didnt call afterall. I offer to call them and the girls tells me NO she will just call Penske customer service....ok.....so then they realize theres some reservation number someone did indeed call and tell them about but didnt leave anything more than that, just a number. The plug in the number and its a reservation for a LARRY not me. Not my reservation. So then we go thru her calling customer service and explaining the situation to them all over again, I am literally on fire from anger at this point but knew it was not this girls fault so i did not take it out on her. She finds my name and reservation and then asks where is my paperwork or stuff......um what stuff? no one gave me stuff. She prints it off and we walk out to the truck that I know for a FACT she did not get ready because she didnt even know we were coming. Whatever, we go back in and then she asks me where is my drop off location, I tell her this point I dont have a damn clue because everything else has been wrong. She offers to call customer service for me again, no thanks I just want to freaking leave and I can call all by myself to get the same info, so I pay her and she is very very nice and we are on our way.... Guess my review is too long and will post the rest following this.

Its better and cheaper than other rental truck, but we had headlight not working they did a repair it 15 min when we were on the way in their repair center, better to check before accepting truck, do little inspection on any rental truck
