The Extra Storage on 8101 Lenexa Dr Overland Park Ks is a great storage unit if anyone is looking. Great and reasonably monthly prices. I simply got on the website and purchased a nice size climate control, dual security access code entry ( one at the gate/another to the storage building) storage unit.The gentleman at the front was pleasant and did great at answering all of my questions and concerns.Extra Storage was super easy to setup and convenient, I’m really looking forward to continue to due business with them. I would highly recommend that you would too.

The gentleman that helped us move our rv here for winter was really helpful and honest. Its a really good company cheep prices and all that good stuff 😊

I have had experience with Extra Space in KC (KS) and DFW (TX) areas. Managers at both locations were very knowledgeable and helpful with info and reminder calls when needed. Easy access with clean facilities and plenty of carts to help move storage items around. Now, if the owners could just keep costs down - then it will be a 5-Star review!

Local facility is clean, located favorably, and staff members are helpful. Do yourself a favor and speak with a human being regarding internet pricing, how rate increases are handled, and what floor your unit is on. They will assist with these and any other questions you might have. You will then make a better educated decision 👍. Would recommend this site.

I’ve been a customer with this specific location since about September 2020 when it was still Beyond Storage. The facilities and management have both been amazing and easy to work with. The Manager, Billy is always super helpful, cordial and provides excellent customer service.This is my first time using an indoor climate controlled storage facility and I have been very impressed with the cleanliness of it and how easy it is to get to and from my unit. The building is always nice and cool and smells like freshness.My unit is on the second floor but there’s always plenty of carts around and there’s 2 or 3 different elevators available. Outside the facility you’ll enter your PIN to get past the gate and into the actual load/unload/long term parking. There is a ramp with a long driveway to park and I’ve never had any issues finding a space to load or unload.You will of course need to provide your own lock but you can also purchase one in the office.The only downside I can think of is that I believe when this space was still Beyond you could access the facility 24/7 an with Extra Space they changed it to a fixed time during the day (6am-10pm).I would 100% recommend this storage facility to friends/family if they need some extra storage.

This storage facility is the best! We have had 2 units here since 2016. I had looked at several other facilities before choosing this one. Very clean, very well-maintained, and very secure. Billy has been really nice to work with. He’s been very responsive as to any questions we might have. Highly recommend!

Great place for storage from personal items to business equipments like trucks, RVs and cars. 24 hour secure access and a great location off the freeway makes this an ideal place. Friendly staff is a plus. Highly recommend.

First and last time renting from this place.First things first, upon moving my stuff into my unit I asked if I could pay 2 months in advance. I was very vocal about this and repeated it multiple times. Even after changing units I tried to pay the difference in advance but my payment was not processed correctly so my attempt to pay in advance was pointless. The next month even before my unit was even due I informed this facility that my payment would be late because the money I was going to use to pay for my unit had to be put towards fixing my car! Little did I realize they would charge a late fee anyway. Ive rented from other units where they will work with you on payment, especially when I tried to pay in advace and it didnt process correctly, to no fault of mine. Forewarning if your more than 35 days late for any amount they will send your unit to auction and you will have to pay additional fees!I wish I knew before moving my entire life (apartment) into this facility.

We rented a 10x15 unit to store our things in during a temporary living situation and we could not have been more happy. All units are climate controlled and they had plenty of carts available to make the job easier. The lift was spacious enough for at least two carts (our unit was on the second floor). The site even had a unisex bathroom that was nice and clean as well.All of this without even mentioning Billy! The manager was fantastic over the phone and in person when he came to greet us upon our arrival. He checked with us that everything looked good and answered our questions and was overall so friendly and courteous. All in all a fantastic storage location worthy of a detailed review like this one!

I just rented a unit, and the store manager, Billy, was so helpful and kind! The unit itself has large, garage style doors at both ends, so moving things in and out will be really easy! I’m very satisfied!

This storage place has been through changes in Mgmt etc. Since Jan 2021 I have run into the following: Poor Customer Service. Bathrooms with zero toilet paper, no liquid soap and hand sanitizer, broken down elevator for over two weeks. My brother sent an email expressing many concerns and he was never contacted to discuss his concerns. One thing is sure prices keep going up here. Also lack of cooling on the second floor. Blowers are not consistently working in the building. It is supposed to be climate controlled but does not feel that way. Thermostat’s are also covered over for some reason so you cannot see the temperature. The saving grace is the units themselves are quite nice. Watched maintenance staff walk past a puddle of water on the floor etc. Location is nice but I do not recommend Extra Space Storage !!!

Extra Space Storage is the BEST storage facility. Its really clean, climate controlled, well taken care of, & Billy in the office is so professional, & helpful. Always quiet and clean, except the restroom seems to always need some form of attention, but not renting the bathrooms. Not happy of the price increase that came with more limited hours of accessibility.

This is a wonderful storage area, it is temp. controlled, clean, safe and secure. Highly recommend if you need to store your stuff.

I was there for 5 months and they skyrocketed my monthly rental saying it was current market pricing but they did it a month early and I didn’t get a notice. When I called them on it, they got upset and weren’t very customer friendly.

I’ve rented a unit here for years and now that Extra Space Storage took over they increased the rent significantly!! To top it off I was NEVER informed it was going to happen!! So I called the manager and he basically said I either had deal with this new amount or look for a new facility!! I DO NOT recommend this place!!

This was a wonderful experience from start to finish! Climate controlled, easy access, plenty of carts, very clean facility. The rent is super affordable compared to other well known companies. If you refer someone, they get a month free and you get a promotion as well. Well lit hallways, bring your own lock and they recommend the round ones for more protection!The staff is very easy to work with as well.

Isnt it crazy how we will tell people what they want to hear just to not cause any waves in our present business arrangement. After posting a great review which Billy himself asked me to do, I returned from a week stay at the hotel next door and was putting things back in my storage I had temporarily removed during my stay nextdoor. Someone who had visited their storage said we were doing nothing but sitting in front of my unit. That was a lie because I had just worked on my storage and was taking a short break. My two sons are witnesses to what happened. The employee there whom I had never met before told me I was loitering. I have been paying $150 a month for my storage for 16 months and I called the district manager and never got a call back. I found out today that I have one day to move my stuff out or lose it. I am appalled! They know that I am houseless and they are totally discriminating against me for that reason alone. All of the 4 women who worked at this storage when I first stored my things there quit and walked out on this new owner all on the same day. I went through losing my daughter to suicide. Leaving a physically abusive husband. Losing my home and now you are going to end my lease on my storage. The reason was given that we were sitting in my diningroom chairs and the other renters were fearful for their safety. Give me a break!! Dont risk your personal treasures with these jokers!!

Very glad I found Beyond Self Storage in my quest to shop for a better facility. Not only are the rates reasonable, the space is cleaner, bigger, and actually feels climate controlled. Quite the change from my last experience at another storage company. Additionally, Rachel was kind, accommodating, helpful, and followed up consistently. If youre looking for storage, this is the place to go. Walk into their gorgeous lobby and ask for Rachel. Shell hook you up for sure.

Very high security! If thats what you need this place definitely has it. Great price for climate controlled units. They need to be a bit more transparent about certain policies and getting into a unit is a bit of a headache, but Im very satisfied with them.
