My husband and I recently moved and we wanted to have a built-in bar. We did not want to purchase from the builder due to the cost and look. We decided to reach out to KC granite. Janet took the time to walk us through the whole process what would be included and what not would be included in her quote. The price she gave us was extremely reasonable . She walked us through picking out the style type and color of the cabinet, The style type and color of the countertop, The type and style of sink, etc. we set up dates and times for them to come out and install the cabinets and countertop. It was an extreme pleasure working with Janet and the crew and people at KC granite. I would highly recommend going to them for any cabinet countertop etc. needs!!
Huge selection. Cant beat price! We had measure done in the morning and selected granite at KC granite showroom and completed installation schedule in the afternoon. (All same day)I cant wait actual installation next week.
Have referred a few clients here and they have all had great experiences. They have helped me out on some custom shower curb jobs as well. Easy to work with.
Terry was awesome! Knew the product and prices. Steered us in a different direction as soon as he knew it was for a rental. Highly recommend this place!
They installed granite in all of bathrooms and the kitchen. They did a quality job and were in and out fast. Not to mention the price was great compared to other quotes.
Wonderful experience working with Maggie at KC Granite & Cabinetry on our Quartz counter tops. I would definitely recommend working with her. After we suggested our special order Quartz she suggested coming in to lay out how the cuts in the warehouse before the fabricators cut the slabs -- this is critical. They were done exactly how I envisioned & their expertise in matching seams saved us from buying another slab. Our large project required two seams & they are practically undetectable. We are thrilled with our beautiful counter tops!
We could not be any happier with the quality of the service and the product. We only replaced the counter top (with granite) and the back splash in our kitchen. For the counter top, the folks at KC Granite patiently guided us through their store room (of granite slabs) and provided requested advice about what would work and not work for our kitchen. We had many questions and quite frankly the answers were well thought out and easy to understand. After we picked out our slab, they made arrangements for us to pick out which portions of the granite would go where (such as using a particular piece of the slab for our peninsula). Do not underestimate the importance of this step and thank goodness we listened to their input! We then set up an appointment for the install and they showed up on time. Their crew was friendly and all about business (no loitering!) and had our counter top installed in less than 2 hours. The final product has exceeded expectations. For the back splash, we asked for input from KC Granite and received tremendous feedback and ultimately settled on a tile that compliments our counter top very well. No comment on the install because we used a family friend to perform this task (but given the professionalism of the counter top install, we would not have hesitated to use KC Granite).Remodeling a kitchen can be very stressful; KC Granite made the process very smooth and took our worries away. Their unbound patience and diligence put us at ease and left us confident that we made the right choice. We also found their prices to very affordable and would not hesitate to use them again.
I had KC Granite do the tear out and install of my kitchen counters, sink, and backsplash. I am very happy with the job they did. The office crew was helpful and nice to work with. They even let me come out before making the cuts to make sure I like a certain section for the Island or what section wasnt my favorite and to avoid. The demo crew and counter install went off without a hitch. They were in and out in about 3 hrs. Had one seem and its hardly noticeable. Plumbing had no problems with the job, though the timing of it could have been communicated better. The tile looks great and apparently I picked a difficult pattern to put up (herringbone). They were patient and worked until it looked great. Again my only complaint would be communicating better the arrival time of the tile workers. Overall I am very pleased and would recommend KC Granite for your new kitchen.
Did a great job on the granite counters, horrible job on the wall tile. . They had to come back and replace two electrical receptacles which they filled with grout. They used the wrong shade of grout initially. When they came back to fix the sloppy grout lines, they used the correct shade of grout. I now have grout that is two different shades. Not a huge difference but noticeable. One section of grout takes a slight dip, (not level). Jason, the manager who came to address my concerns, said it was an optical illusion. The grout lines vary in thickness and depth. Jason said this was acceptable. The tile workers came on a Friday afternoon and the longer they were here, the sloppier their work got. I voiced concern over the Asian workers ability to understand English. Jason said they were family of the owner of the business who lives in China. So if youre looking for an American owned business or to Buy American, KC Granite is not it. Jason did send out another worker who was able to clean up much of the mess. (Yes, thats three times to get it right). That worker was able to fix much but its still not a professional job. If I had wanted amateur work Id have done the tile myself. There is clearly a lack of pride in workmanship. Jasons answer was to deduct $200 from the cost of the tile job. This turned into a big hassle.Again, the granite counter tops turned out great. Get someone else to do the tile.
This place did a amazing job installing granite in our kitchen, full bath, and 1/2 bath. They helped me pick out what I wanted that fit my budget. Install was professional and very quick! Can’t beat this company! Will recommend again and again.
I have used KC granite 3 other times for just granite. The 4th time I used them for cabinets and granite. I was happy with the cabinet quality. Madison did a great job working with me on design and pricing. The 3D drawings she provided made it a smooth process.Everyone else was great from start to finish. Installers were fast and did a good job. I recommend them to others and will use them again. Thanks
Awesome experience with KC Granite. Jerry was extremely helpful in laying out the granite to highlight certain areas and they were very responsive to my timeline. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.
I shopped for new kitchen countertops for awhile and was about to purchase from another company. A co-worker recommended KC Granite and I stopped in to their showroom. They priced out what I wanted and were a few hundred dollars less for the same thing. They were not pushy and were patient while I decided on what I wanted. The employee that came to measure in my home was on time, pleasant and professional. He took the time to answer my questions before he left for the next job. A week later the installers were quick and efficient. It took them about 90 minutes from start to finish to complete the install. The one seam in the corner is hardly detectable. From start to finish it was a positive experience.
My vanity and sink are fine, but the mess the installers made tracking in fine dust particles on their shoes took me an hour to clean out of the cracks in my hardwood floor. And they were 6 hours later in arriving to do the install than promised. I sat and waited... Wont use them again-too much trouble.
Was hired as a subcontractor to do my tile floor. They had to redo 3 times & its still not right today. Did a lousy job. The lippage in the tile is ridiculous some higher some lower, grout joints uneven. I am having to regrout the floor because they didnt do it right & grout is falling out. its only been a couple of years since they did this. The tiles on my steps are all falling off. Had to hire someone to fix what should have been done right in the first place! I wouldnt hire them to do a floor in my dogs house.
Service and products were both a 10/10!Maggie was a dream to work with!Pricing was also very competitive!
First time in we werent impressed. Next trip and every other time was a total turnaround! They gave us an itemized list of items and cost and were very affordable, beating their local competitors by quite a bit! Their customer service has been great and they are quite knowledgeable.
The sink is off center & cant get the drawer in. They had to grind and left gouges on granite in multiple places because it was cut too long. . They are smaller in back than in the front & they dented & scratched new fridge. The backsplash is shorter than counter & the guy tells me you can just fill it in!! SERIOUSLY! i looked at him & said remove it all. It is unacceptable. Do not want your company coming back!Told they would be there today to removed & when called they had no idea what i was talking about. Terry was really rude when i told him i wanted reimbursement for the damaged refigerator & asked if i had proof!!! Of course i do. Then he started talking fast & said ok thank you & hung up.
The entire team was great to work with! From design to full installation the process was professional and accelerated. We could not be happier with the finished product and would highly recommend KC Granite to anyone.
Had them remodel entire kitchen and bath vanity. There were a few problems with install but we lived with it. The cabinets are not the best quality but they were good enough for what we wanted. Just after the one year mark, a cabinet door began to warp to the point it was very noticeable. I contacted the manager and he told be it was beyond one year and I would have to pay for a new door. Unbelievable!
We have them install new granite counter-tops.The estimator that came out was very precise and helpful. People in the shop were somewhat professional, but due to a large language barrier, it was difficult to communicate with them. This made picking of the granite and placing the deposit a nerve-wracking process. Several times, we were concerned they did not understand what we were saying. It is obvious that with the result, they did not comprehend us or made an error (see below). Either the salesperson or the foreman needs to be able to communicate effectively. They did allow us to purchase a sink from another vendor, which saved us several weeks for a special order. The quality of the work looks to be very good. They did an excellent job avoiding the bad areas of the granite slab we selected. They were on time and nice during the installation. The installation took place within 5 days of our order. However, we did encounter a problem. During the initial visit with the estimator, we told him we wanted a 10 or 12 extension for a stool seating area. Initially we went with 10, and then via phone called them to tell them 12. Unfortunately, they put the extra 2 on the wrong end so that it ended over the drawers leaving only a 10 extension for the stool area. During the installation, they were able to take out the wrong 2 extension such that it had the normal overhang. In addition, they were also supposed to install three brackets; however, they only installed two brackets. When we called them to pay the remaining 50%, we asked for a credited due to the missing square footage and bracket; they agreed. With finer attention to detail, and improved communication, we would use them again. However due to their error, we will use someone else next time even if they are more.
Very helpful, willing to help & explain
My installation was 8 months ago. They were in and out of my house repeatedly due to all of the problems with damaged cabinets and shoddy installation. The supervisor, or so he claimed said the split faces and damaged doors would be replaced. But they only did putty. I have waited for ten days for a call back for a dropping door, a shattered front, uninstalled kick plates and a freezer door that due to their expert designer design does not fully open. Do not waste your money thinking you are saving money or getting quality. They have no quality control or professionalism.
Great service, great product, measured and installed within 5 business days. Very pleased with the project!
I just had granite installed in our loft in Lees Summit today. I called the LS store to tell them I was happy with the job, except for the sink. The guy immediately became defensive and irate.....The guy had called me a few days earlier to confirm which style sink i wanted installed, he started giving me dimensions of the proposed sink. I told him i wanted the same style sink back, since it was a small kitchen area. He told me it would be a little bigger than what i had...... its a lot bigger! If the guy would have just listened to me when i called today, it wouldnt have been a big deal. Instead he wanted to argue with me about what i said and what he said. If i had to do it again, I wouldnt use this company because they have lack good customer service skills,
They are very difficult to work with. They had to make three trips to my house to finish the install. They quoted my granite with extending the bar size. When I decided to have it cut to the original size they would not reduce the price. Final person to install was rude. I wish I would have checked the reviews before I hired. Hopefully this will help you with your decision.
Went into KC Granite yesterday with intention of purchasing granite/installation for my kitchen. When I arrived an employee was helping a lady pick out granite. After a few minutes the lady was finished and left the store. The employee told me that someone would be with me in a few minutes. 50 minutes later I had not been helped. During that time, two other couples and one other gentlemen left the store as they werent being helped. I cant speak to the quality of work done by KC Granite, the reviews I see speak well of their product/service. I can speak to how long I waited without being assisted. If none of the people that left go back, I figure KC Granite lost out on THOUSANDS of dollars in sales.
I would never reccomend this company to anyone. Ordered granite from them and they cut a slab wrong and installed it anyway. They are not replacing the entire slab. Just insisted on epoxying a piece back on to the corner that they mis-cut. The cuts they had to make in my house caused a complete mess and they did not clean up after themselves. Highly dissapointed.
We had our granite counter tops installed and the experience was BAD! The product is great, beautiful granite. However, the crew was rude, cussed in spanish the whole time, set off our fire alarm and did a poor job. Maggie is the only good thing that company has going for them. We contacted her the next day and she did everything she could to make it right. A manager came out and fixed the issues and made excuses for this crew. The plumber was just as bad, had to have him out a second time, sink still leaked and my husband just fixed it himself. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
Friendly service
Cool
Cant give them a low enough score., although we didnt buy from them. We went to their store and the two ladies in the front didnt even acknowledge us coming in. They continued to complain about not being able to do their work and simply ignored us.My wife and I stood around for a few minutes looking a the samples they have by the door but since they continued to do whatever they were doing without even a simple acknowledgement that we were there, we left.If they have terrible customer service when we just walked in, I dont even want to imagine how the whole process would work.
I couldnt get them to call me back. 2 emails, 3 phone calls, I was told I would receive a call back that day - no response. Ill take my whole kitchen remodel to another cabinet/granite company. So disappointed.
They have great granite
Great jobs always.
