Royal Garage was fast and efficient in fixing my garage door cable. Very nice and professional!I will definitely use them again.

I really want to provide a good review because I truly feel they are a good company, thus my reason for hiring them, but I really cant.It started from the beginning. I was told items were in stock in the warehouse but then had to wait 6 weeks for items to arrive.Then taking time off work yesterday to let the installer in between the 8 and 10 time frame they provided. The scheduler said theyd probably be here by 9:30. At 10:10, after I had arrived at work, they messaged that they were enroute. No communication that they were running behind. I provided the code for them to get in.Upon completion, only half of the grids were installed in the windows. I contacted company and was told they would send someone out today. 6pm, nothing. No call. No grids.And during the cleaning of the garage that I had to do, I found one of their screwdriver bits. I was hoping to get that back to the installer.Finally, one of the panels had been dinged already.Again, I think this is likely outside of the norm of their standard business practices and I get that people have bad days but this was more than just one day.But the positive is that the garage doors themselves are outstanding (minus the grids and the ding) and they are so quiet opening. Im sure my neighbors appreciate it!

Repairman did quick work on replacing a circuit panel. After the repair he explained the cause of the problem and how the fix would require us to reprogram the opener. He also pointed out a problem he noticed with our outlet that we might want to check out (it was not an issue involving the opener).

Royal is a first class experience, from initial engagement to project completion. Our garage door hit the front of our car - not sure how that happened. We used their user-friendly web site during off duty hours to convey key information and send in pics. The actual owner then responded and ensured he had all information before providing a full set of options. We called several times after he emailed initial bids with pictures. We then coordinated the initial visit by the tech, then the garage door was installed in a matter if a few hours.The Royal team is all about informing the customer and providing the quality in what they say and do. The door is rated R-12 and so far very impressive. They do not try to sell you anything you do not need. Rather, they help you make your decision based on your needs and resources. Absolutely awesome service and response from Vicki in the office and Melvin the tech doing the work. I highly recommend them! Put our new doors in some years ago and worked flawlessly until 0700 this morning when one spring broke. Manual lift didnt work as a side cable had also jumped the reel and was jammed. Cars were trapped in garage. I called when they opened an hour later and before 0900 a serviceman had called to say he was in route. He immediately did a temporary fix so one car could be pulled out and is now replacing the springs etc. Very very very happy and appreciative of Royals response and their employees conscientiousness.

I called Royal Garage Door around noon today to schedule an appointment. I was pleasantly surprised to learn they could come out this afternoon. Dale Kessler showed up and went right to work and quickly diagnosed the problem with the opener. He had the parts on his truck and continued working while I made a quick trip to pick up my grandson from school and was finishing up when I got back. It was great to have the garage door functioning and he adjusted and oiled the door too so the neighbors down the street don’t have to hear my door open and close anymore. Excellent service experience with Melvin Bingham from Royal Garage Door. Not only Melvin fixed the issue for which we made the service call, he went an extra mile to check if there are any other minor adjustments needed for both the garage doors. He even lubed the moving parts/joints to make sure the doors glide easily when opening/closing and also inspected and made sure the rails of both the doors are secure and aligned.I will continue using Royal Garage Door for my future needs. And I prefer Melvin for all my futures service support needs.Due to an oversight, an issue was not addressed properly in our earlier service call for a broken end-plate issue. The issue still persisted even after follow up service (no charge service). I had started wondering why did I call Royal Garage Door. But, Melvin’s approach to the issue removed all my doubts about our the dependability on the Royal Garage Door.In my last two years experience, I have noticed that from answering phone calls (Vicky) to fully resolving issues (Gary), this group of very humble people provide very good customer experience. Unlike Overhead Garage Door, Royal’s estimate was Free. They were fast giving the estimate, which was very reasonable. The installation happened quickly and was done well. There was a small issue that I noticed after the installers left. I sent an email and picture and within 30 minutes I had a call, and then 5 minutes later, one of the installers was here to fix the problem. I would definitely recommend this company!

Did not resolve problem despite stating the make of garage door opener when setting appointment. When they promptly showed for appointment with good notification, they were unable to repair our model of opener. Expensive disappointment. The variety they would replace with would necessitate a new remote, key pad and garage pad at extra expense as we have two cars.

Our door opener was struggling in the cold and failing to open the door. Eric from Royal Garage Door tuned up the torsion springs and lubricated all critical components in 30 minutes. Now the door is opening quieter and faster than ever. Eric was very professional, and he showed me some maintenance tips to maximize the life of the door. The service fee was very reasonable, with no pressure to replace things that dont need to be replaced yet. I will contact Royal Garage Door again in the future. Highly recommended.

Tried to collect sales tax on a LABOR ONLY job in Missouri. When I questioned it, they said that I was welcome to find another installer. After asking the direct question via email to the Missouri Department of Revenue, Taxation Division, Is sales tax due for the installation of a garage door opener, they replied that Installation labor is not a taxable service in Missouri. I sent Gary at Royal Garage Door a screenshot of this official answer, and not only has he not apologized and thanked me for this information, but he has not even replied. Worst customer service ever.

Melvin arrived on time & quickly diagnosed problem with jerking garage door - sagging panel. He fixed it by repositioning the braces closer to the hinge locations which reenforced the panels and that seemed to eliminate the problem. The door is opening & closing smoothly currently. The company I hired out to repair the damage (a car went into our house and pinned my husband) contracted out Royal. The project manager told me they would be there to fix the garage doors on a certain day, and from both companies, I got a no call, no show and didnt come until a few days later. Due to covid, I completely understood, the no contact and entrusted them to help themselves in my garage without my presence. Once, they were done, I didnt get anything to notify me the job was done or to review the job with me. They just up and left with my doors unlocked, a mess all over my garage (metal shavings, some white substance was everywhere, screws and misc. parts). They also left the boards that kept our garage openings closed, on my grass in the sun and left them there. Luckily the company I hired, came and picked them up. One of the garage door openers was slamming into the motor head after the work, and I did reach out to my project manager and let him know. Gary, from Royal called me once my project manager finally reached out to him and he was completely rude to me, because it had taken a few weeks for him to hear about it. I understood, but he continued to want to blame me for the part being broken, and I kept assuring him, it was not like that previously before the accident. That side was half up when the car and my husband impacted into it, and the neighbors came to help me get it closed until it could be looked at and fixed, so it did receive more hit than the other side. But he wanted to argue and insult me over a $15 part. I called Overhead Door and they were kind enough to walk me through what to do and get, so I will be using them, as I normally would in the future. My family runs a small business, so this kills me to write this, but being a woman that is juggling a house, kids, a husband that needs around the clock care, the way Gary treated me in my situation was of utmost disgust. A simple, Im sorry, but that part I dont believe was part of the accident would have sufficed, than how he handled the situation. Reading reviews, its good Royal doesnt practice this bad behavior often, and I was just the lucky one. On a POSITIVE, the garage doors themselves are well done and look great!

Service, was ok. Beware of extra charges.**response to owner reply ** - unfortunately in my case the tech that came out drove off while I was trying to close the other garage door. I called the office immediately when I couldnt get the other door to close.If you use this company, you should watch the tech work and make sure that all things are 100% in order before the leave the premise.

It took a couple of service calls to get the right diagnosis but once the part for my overhead opener was installed, the technician went above and beyond to fix a roller at no charge as well.

I called them at 2pm and they were here at 730 pm that same day to repair springs broken on door. They weigh your door and build you high quality springs on site. They offer the best warranty (6years) of anyone around. Justin and Mike definitely know what they are doing and are excellent people to deal. They even replace the bearings in the rollers while they have it disassembled. If you need any garage door work done these are the people to call. The springs are rated at 35000 cycles. Excellent job was done in less than 1 hour. The even looked at my second garage door and clean and oiled it so it quieter. Thank you Justin and Mike.
