Usually come here for my crochet needs, but came this time for a cart this morning. Bought the cart & the lady up front who rang me up offered to let me pull up my car to the curb so she can put it in there. I’m 36 weeks pregnant & can’t lift a certain amount. I didn’t get her name but she definitely made my day. I really appreciated this lovely lady’s kindness more than she knows! 😊

If you are trying to organize your life or just want to draw, paint or craft they have everything you need. My last visit I was just looking for planners. I was able to get these two Happy Planners using a coupon for 40% off I found online. They also sell all the stickers I used to decorate the bigger planner. The happy manner items are expensive BUT you can use the Michals coupons on them. They also have a good selection of seasonal decor that frequently goes on sale. They have a ton of other craft stuff as well. Check out my pictures!

The staff was polite and helpful even though they were pretty busy taking down and putting up shelves as well as rearranging the aisles. Also, though you would think itd be chaotic, as a matter of fact it was just the opposite. There was a nice feel to the store.

Michaels does a good job of providing us with the basics that support creative endeavor ... which frees us from a lot of the not-so-fun grind stuff that needs to get done if we want to show off the stuff we like to make.Today, frinstance, I picked up some pre-cut mats for some photos.Also: they seem to have established good protocols for keeping themselves -- and us -- safe during the continuing pandemic.

I love Michaels because they always have exactly what Im looking for. And if I cant find it on my own, the staff are very helpful. Their seasonal items are wonderful as well! From baking, to art, to school projects, to stationary, you can find everything you need at Michaels.

Love it for crafts. Always check online for coupons! They can scan from your phone and usually you can save 40% off an item.

Michaels is great for art supplies. Walmart has been short on painting supplies, and drawing inks for calligraphy. Michaels has all the things you need.

They have great pick up options for merchandise. This store does have a smaller selection than others, but still great.

Limited stock of the supplies I want. Its not bad, but I wish we had an art supply store competitive with Blick in Johnson County. Its a great store fore crafts supplies, though.

It is a great store. But the people I spoke with didnt know much about the store. Im going to assume they are seasonal employees.

Great service and cleanliness, especially during a pandemic. The employees are always willing to help and when doing pickup the orders are brought out really fast.

Love this new location!! Easy to find everything and almost all of their items are reasonably priced. They have frequent sales too. Staff is always very friendly and helpful.

SO many nice things for crafty people! I walk in and am swarmed with ideas for things I could make. Watch the ads for best prices (esp. for things like artificial flowers). Helpful hint: shop early for best selection of holiday items (Halloween, Christmas, etc)

Pricing was good but never experienced a store feeling the need to watch ME in the store n depts. I shopped while searching for what I was needing. Plexiglass which was not there. Resin items were not found but each dept an announcement was broadcast advising the area was being monitored.. For; what if Im not familiar w the store layout n where everything was.. 95th n quivira was the location. Out of ALL stores I shop Ive never had an experience as this. Spent 60$ in this store. BECAUSE Im one who DONT like shopping nor crowds of PEOPLE

Visited today had a hard time getting my reward coupons up. Instead of making suggestions she told me I would have to pay full price for everything. (Ive been in competitor stores and they will let me use Michaels coupons and their coupons) I told her I wasnt going to pay full price for the knitting needle I needed and I would have to go elsewhere. She just looked and me and told me good luck with that. I know holidays are tough when your checking people out. But try to be pleasant.

Store was out of so much product. I did purchase a couple items, only to discover chips out of them and other pieces broken. I have found some cute things here, but in my opinion, it doesnt hold a candle to Hobby Lobby. The staff is not very friendly either. (Atleast they havent been the times I have been there.)

Helpful finding what I needed.

Took granddaughter to get some jewelry making tools and items. Was able to find what we needed right away

Lots of arts and crafts supplies for all ages and many levels of expertise. We were disappointed, however, by how scattered things were. For example, we were looking for ways to hang our pictures, but hooks/command strips/were not in a central location but scattered on end caps of two different sections of the store making it very hard to find the right items for our needs and make comparisons

My 1st time at the new location. Much better than the old Metcalf store. Better layout and lighting. They must be under different management because the staff was very courteous, I was greeted when I came in and had 4 different employees ask if I was finding everything. Staff was all busy, not hanging out. It showed in well tended shelves and full stock. At the old location I had a few run ins with them over items supposed to be in stock and not out on the floor. I had to go to the front registers usually to get someone to help, and then it was like pulling teeth to get anything accomplished. Kuddos to the current management and staff. I was impressed.

I was looking for the dye and they had what I was looking for but it was very expensive.

Its ok. It was really hot inside and they needed more cashiers.

So this is a new location for Michaels and still has that new store smell going on. It was a so much fun figuring out where everything was located. The yarn section, my main goal for this visit, was in the back left corner of the store and let me just say wow! Such a nice variety of yarn. I will ne making my way back to this store again. I unfortunately didnt find what I was looking for and had to go to Hobby Lobby for it. I was looking for a bigger crochet hook for a blanket and its understandable that Michales didnt have it because they dont sell the thick yarn that requires the big hooks. Wither way I did love the selection of yarn available and all the goodies there were to see with this new store. This is the first craft store Ive seen cary items specifically for the cosplay crowd and I thought that was very interesting and well honestly way to go Michaels for being diverse and carrying products for their crafting needs!

Found it difficult to navigate, but that was likely because its such a new store. All the associates I spoke with were quick to help and take me right to each item I needed.

I went in for one item, left with 4! Love this store. They have everything you need and even things you didnt know you needed! Lol

Worst Michaels Ive been to hands down. Not only is staff not helpful and kept creeping on me like I was stealing (unfortunately with the hair color, prejudgments are strong despite the THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of dollars Ive spent at Michaels). Im used to that unfortunately but what was a turn off was during their 90% off sale, they slashed through the barcodes and had their own on there charging much much more. I will NEVER spend a dime at this location again

Exciting news: opening day is April 5th, 2019No more driving across town to get the Arts & Crafts you know and love from Michaels!

The staff and manager were awesome and very helpful as always at the Overland Park store across from the mall.
