For the record, Im sure the actual company is great, however their ability to hire competent people in this day and age is the reason for such a low review.We were directed towards Factory Direct because of a certain surplus in an appliance. Upon arrival, we were told that we would not be able to pick up the appliance due to no employees working in the warehouse. We were told we could not load it ourselves and the employees on the floor could not do it.An easy sale that would of been profitable, resulted in a no sale and us driving to a mom and pop shop.Hire people willing to do what it takes to make a sale.
The showroom consultant we worked with was pleasant but almost IMPOSSIBLE to reach by phone! The customer’s service here is lousy both in person and especially over the phone .. RUDE, UNFRIENDLY and unwilling to be very helpful. The only reason we used them was because it’s who the builder went through. I would not recommend my worst enemy to this place.
Receiving is nasty.Got here at 1pm.They say,they will unload me tomorrow at 8am.There was no truck at the docks but they say no room.Spend the night at 8am I checked in.Got a dock still there at 11am,and yet they say if you check after 11am they wont take you.Crazy.This GE I load got loaded at Grand Prairie,TX with a 5hrs delay monday. hoping to get empty b4 2pm Wednesday.
Sorry, have to change my ratings, because of bad customer service and follow up. We order all our appliances from here, we picked up most of them, less the fridge that was delivered. Fridge arrived damaged, dent on visible side, inside freezer liner was all cracked, ice maker bin was shorter than normal so all ice cubes were falling behind it. So we called, sales rep said will order a replacement and will give me an. Update. Guess what, I was waiting almost 2 months for that update, I called back to see what is going on, they told me the fridge will be delivered on Friday, by several people there, until today when they called back and said is no fridge available for me. So after 5 people told me that a fridge is available for delivery suddenly is not. Plus that I was waiting 20 min on the phone for customer service, Im waiting on hold still.

Worst customer service. Very rude staff . I was going through a major renovation in my house and was referred to them by the designer and contractor i was working with wanted to purchase the appliances and chandeliers . No one from the staff greeted us even after we spent good 30 minutes at the showroom and after that we asked for help 3 times and no staff member came to help us . Eventually we walked out without a single person even asking us if we needed any help.I wonder what their attitude would be after they sell the item and even if they would ever stand behind their product. I will not recommend this place to anyone who has a self respect and dignity .

This is my 3rd time visiting the show Room and again I was not greeted or assisted at any time that I was in their store which was about an hour and 15 minutes. It appeared that all the sales people are chasing the money of anyone who was redecorating their home. The perception was that I surely couldnt afford to purchase much by myself and so all other couples were attended to Before & After I arrived. I left the show Room without being assisted or even acknowledged by any employee including the greeters at the front door. This will be my last time that I ever step foot in this store and I will continue to go places that give great service such as Nebraska Furniture Mart or Furniture Mall of Kansas or Home Depot. For the record, I had at least 6 or 7 employees walk by me and never acknowledge or say any words.
I almost begged the gal at the front desk to let me buy something, but she simply laughed and said the staff was too busy and to come back later. Unfriendly, unhelpful, not going back.

Complete waste of my time. I was there for a complete kitchen for a new build. I think I was sized up upon arrival and wasn’t given a sales person - just told to go look around. I did, took some notes and was passed over by next available sales to the next customer. Half the items didn’t have prices on them and there was no one to answer questions. Judging by other reviews, perhaps I dodged s bullet.
This place is a joke. We spent a small fortune on appliances. 1 was installed improperly by them. Took over a month to repair and still not repaired properly. Water line hookup on refrigerator not complete. Still not fixed. Dishwasher has bad seal and leaks. Not their problem even though brand new. Still not fixed, cant even use it. Go anywhere but here.

Bought appliances here as part of a new home build. Purchase and install went fine, but obtaining service for our Miele coffee machine has been a joke. While FD was more than happy to sell us an extended warranty on it, when we called they told us the contract wasnt with them and it is not their problem. Off to Miele they sent me, who then tells me that Ferguson handles servicing for them. When I called Ferguson back, they told me that is not correct and I will have to call Miele back and explain to them that Ferguson no longer does service for them---Really? Can I do any more work for you, maybe schedule some of your techs or clean up the showroom? I shouldnt be the one running all this down--if you sell a product, and an extended warranty, you should be standing behind it---now, over two weeks into the process I am still calling multiple departments within Miele trying to get service for my coffee machine. This was an expensive purchase, including the service contract, which FD clearly profited from yet Im now being told that I am basically on my own now that they have my $. This isnt the way to do business, and frankly calls into question my whole experience with them. I would exercise caution in buying appliances at FD--ask if they service them. If they try and sell you a service contract, ask them who provides the service? Who is responsible etc?
I was given options and given a number to call, to get get woodwork done to possibly get the oven I want instead of, just a few options that would fit.
I purchased a dishwasher that is under warranty. It has been 7 weeks waiting on the part to come in. That is outrageous that it has been that long. Worst service by all means.
Great showroom
I had mixed experience in here. My first experience was not good. I was there shopping for an entire set of kitchen appliances for renovation. The sales rep (I wont name names) judged us based on our appearances and was skeptical about our choices. So I gladly took my $15k business to Best Buy Pacific Kitchen, where I received outstanding customer service. The second time I was there I was buying smaller items for bathrooms. Alex helped us out tremendously and the overall experience was great. So I guess it depends on who you work with. The other problem is they keep buying up all the other businesses in the area, so its almost a monopoly in town. You lose pricing power as a customer when this happens.
I purchased a dishwasher and the 5 year extendeded parts and labor warranty. I have had nothing but problems. I have been wating for 5 months for a service call. In my opinion junk product and junk warranty! Order # 2201329. Post will be up until dishwasher is fixed!
Buy all our appliances here. This tile replaced our aged dishwasher. It was installed the next morning. Love the machine and the service. Sensing all our friends.
We purchased all of our kitchen appliances here. They matched prices and gave suggestions for comparable items if something was out of stock by the time our build finished. The install and delivery didnt go as well as planned for our beverage refrigerator, but the other appliances and refrigerators came as planned.
We worked with Anita to pick our all of our appliances and lighting and she was so kind and helpful. The best experience by far of all the selections we had to make for our new home.

The store was very clean and well organized. However, we received terrible customer service (no service provided). As soon as we walked in every available sales associate just stared at us, no one offered to help. As we were walking through the showroom, one sales associate ( I won’t name names) would not even move over so we could get through an isle. He just stood there and carried on a conversation, with another sales associate, and ignored that we were there. As we squeezed passed him, making sure to politely say “excuse” us, still nothing, totally disregarded us. The staff was so intentionally rude, I’ve never experienced anything like it. It was so thick. It reminded me of what my grandmother said it was like for African Americans during the 1960’s. I have on very few occasions experienced this level of racism as I did today at the Lenexa showroom. I rarely write reviews unless they are positive but this had to be said. When we were leaving the front receptionist (who was not there when we arrived) could tell we were unhapppy and asked if we needed help. She seemed descent. I wanted to tell her about our experience but my husband gave me that “don’t even go there look” so I just said, no thank you and we left. NEVER to return. Minorities beware...do not give this place a dime, because they clearly want US in there space.
Factory Direct appliance has helped us twice when appliances have quit on us. Once with a washing machine, and then again the week of Thanksgiving when our fridge went out. Both times, I called told them what had happened, what I was looking for, the budget I needed to stay in, and they helped me find the right appliance right over the phone, with a delivery the very next day. 5 stars for Factory Direct Appliance.

I had originally called the store regarding prices and Bill was the salesperson who took his time to help me understand the types, styles and performances of many different vendor ovens. I went into the store the next day to view the ovens, and again, Bill was very patient and informative; I bought the perfect oven for my cooking needs.

I was told by another store that the match for my electrolux washer was discontinued and could not be found anywhere. I was devastated because I had spent a lot for it and now could not get the matching dryer. I was told by a friend to call Factory Direct and Daphne saved the day! She was so kind and helpful. She had her electrolux rep call and find the appliance and was able to order it in that day. The price was comparable and the service was excellent. I will be buying all of my future appliances from Factory Direct
Bought a Samsung refrigerator from Factory Direct. The ice maker quit working less than a month after the warranty expired. After doing some research found out that this is a common issue with the model we bought. I would suggest purchasing elsewhere as Factory Direct is peddling defective appliances and will refuse to correct the mistake.
The sales experience was terrific. Our salesperson met our highest expectations. On the delivery side, the communication was horrible. We had to call the delivery supervisor to get the drivers to put our range where we wanted it. They apparently have a policy of only dropping in the garage if they are not performing the installation. We did get it where we wanted it, but it wasnt easy.

We have been trying for 2 weeks just to make an appointment with Ferguson/Factory Direct. The website booking system is broken and when you call you get bounced around to different people or have to leave messages for someone to call you back. The people that do call you back are not the ones who can book virtual appointments and that person doesnt return calls. Todays call from someone else who couldnt help was the last straw, thus the 1 star review.

We purchased a new home in May 2016. The GE appliances were sold and installed by Factory Direct out of Lenexa. In addition, we purchased a $2,000 GE refrigerator from Factory Direct prior to our move-in date.The refrigerator was delivered but was never properly set up by the Factory Direct installers. The fridge was not balanced resulting in leaking doors and a frame that crooked when you looked at the door. GE had to send a technician out to resolve these issues.In addition, the refrigerator was one year old in May 2017. We have had four several calls since purchase. It quit working after seven weeks and the ice maker system has been completely replaced (three separate parts) because each part failed after a subsequent part was replaced.Factory Direct installed the gas countertop but never tested it. None of the burners worked when we moved in. Once again, a GE technician service call.The microwave has failed and been replaced seven (7) times since May 2016. GE is as frustrated with these poorly made units as we are.We were warned not to use the self cleaning feature on the oven because the coolings fans are prone to failure which in turn bakes the electronics.We had the GE dishwasher replaced with a Bosch dishwasher prior to closing on the house. No problems with Bosch!I have sent three letters to Factory Direct in addition to four phone calls and their response is crickets. Their is no service after the sale. You are strictly another sale to them and what happens after the sale is no concern to them.Two lessons learned:1. Never buy GE unless you love service calls and the time lost and wasted waiting for a Technician to tell you that hell have to order the parts and hell see you in 7 to 10 days.2. Buy from Nebraska Furniture Mart or a local appliance store. Factory Direct has no interest in maintaining or servicing their existing customers. You are just a number.
