Its a classic diner. Quick, greasy, very friendly. Limited menu, but it has all the standard diner fair. Eggs were a bit overcooked both on the omelet and scrambled, and the hashbrowns were flavorful but too soft. Got one top up on coffee while we were there, but no one offered to refill out water cups.Ive had better breakfast for the same price elsewhere, but for a quick meal this still hit the spot.

Im a bit of a food snob (being from Jersey and all), so right off the bat Im very critical of the food I choose to eat. Walking in and Im greeted right away with a smile and shown to a table. The place smells awesome. The food comes quickly and if you look at the pictures you can tell that the chef took pride in his dish. This isnt just some old generic Sysco food delivery stuff. This is farm fresh, locally acquired food stuffs. The foot traffic seemed to be all locals, and its usually the local population that knows where the best spots are. I will be going back again!

The Lebanon Diner has the lightest fluffiest Belgian waffles I have ever had. Believe me these are NOT an Eggo. It comes with strawberries and whipped cream if you like and maple syrup. One fills the plate and cures that need to have a splurge every once in a while. One of the other must have things when I go is the corned beef hash. Made from scratch it is hands down the best hash I have ever had. Corned beef hash can often be very salty however theirs is not. They have come up with a recipe that has all of the yummy goodness without feeling like you drank a whole bucket of brine with it. It has nice flavor and it has a pleasing consistency as well. The DIner is often busy with local patrons who come back again and again not only because of the good food but because the staff is friendly. They are located on the end of the mall close to the handicap parking spots and their door has a push button to help assist in opening the door for those who may need it.They have both counter seating and tables. Its a nice place to have a cozy breakfast, lunch or just some coffee with a friend. Im told their lunches are very good too ( I only say it that way because I am hooked on their breakfast). Dont just take my word for it though. Go and check it out yourself. Enjoy !

There are five diners in the upper valley, each with their own quirks, strengths, and weaknesses. Ive frequented them all many times. The Lebanon Diner consistently rises above the competition with top notch service, food, and company. When you sit at the counter and watch the owners greet the majority of customers by name, youll know that this diner is truly a local institution.Usually there is no wait to sit at the counter and the wait for a table is always less than other diners on the weekends. I dont usually enjoy diner coffee but the brew at this place is quite good. The menu is concise and delivers consistently on quality. On the weekends they offer eggs bendedict, which I highly recommend. Where this diner really shines is the atmosphere. If there were ever a breakfast version of Cheers this would be it. Recalling one morning, the entire place got caught up in a debate on surviving the zombie apocalypse. Conclusion: if the zombie horde is headed your way, make sure you fuel up first at the Lebanon Diner.

Perfect. We had toast, a breakfast burrito, home fries and pancakes. Everything was awsome, but the pancakes were the best Ive ever had. Super fluffy and flavorful. The locally sourced real maple syrup was the icing on the cake.Well done to the very friendly staff, youve got a repeat customer here.

I come here all the time. Its definitely a place that youll feel more like a local if you go here. I always like the food and everyone feels like a friend. The decor is unique too. Go earlier and youll be more likely to get your desired seating as this place does fill up fast. For me, that adds to the atmosphere.

My boyfriend and I went here for the first time today and were blown away by the fantastic service and AMAZING food. They were very busy when we first got there but were promptly greeted by one of the wait staff. We waited a few minutes for a table but not too long. We ordered fairly basic breakfasts, but the quality of the food is outstanding and the French toast was the best we have ever had! Our waitress, Lauren, was spunky and super sweet! We will definitely be returning to the Lebanon Diner!!!

Slow to be seated, slow service, no coffee refills, my order was wrong (potato hash instead of hash browns), 2 orders came out then we had to wait almost 10 minutes for the rest of the food. Most of the food wasnt great (over cooked eggs, Hollandaise sauce was strange, potato hash was soggy, French toast seemed more like just toast), and it was hard to get anyones attention. They ended up giving us the meal for free, so that was nice of them. But I probably wouldnt go back.

Ive known Karen and Andy, the owners, for probably over 10 years. Great people, but even better food. Lauren is one of the servers, who I have also had the pleasure of knowing for a very long time. Food is straightfoward, and just about everything comes with fries at lunch. My favorite is the burger wrap, as long as it is a day without mushrooms. Breakfast is pretty creative, with a fun spin on traditional meals and a rotating specials menu. Plus nobody looks at you funny for showing up in Pajamas.

Stood waiting 20 minutes which was fine based on the reviews..Yet I am wondering what the people who reviewed this place were smoking ?1. Maybe get some bus buckets to clear a table instead of making four trips two plates at a time ?2. Maybe everyone in the place could learn to pour coffee so the customers who stood 20 minutes could have a cup ?Waited another 20 for a cup of coffee.. while 4 customers leaving were cashed out.3. Breakfast was mediocre at best..In all aspects.. cant figure out what the big rave was about the hash or the Eggs Benedict Hollandaise..4. Ill give it a two points for the staff being cordial.5. Sorry..been to alot of placesAnd if I had known I would have hit the truck stop instead..6. Hate to give a bad review but its my honest opinion.7. 47 dollars for 3 and I left a ten dollar cash tip considering.

Review №74

The food is awesome (Im in love with their vegetarian Eggs Benedict, made with spinach and tomato); The waitstaff is always very friendly and really on top of their game (they never forget if you ask for something like cream or ketchup, and they even here those little comments we -- the patrons -- tend to make, like Ill ask her for a refill when she comes by next time, lo & behold, they will show up with that refill BEFORE you ask for it because they tend to hear you say those little things, even when youre not speaking directly to them!); The ONLY reason Im giving them 4 stars instead of 5 ----> YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT FOR A TABLE. Ive never gone to the Lebanon Diner and NOT had to wait. For me and my spouse, its usually not a big deal to wait 15-20 minutes, but I fully understand how that is going to impede some customers. I see a lot of people walk out because the line seems overwhelming. And theres very limited seating to begin with, so when you walk in and find yourself the 3rd group waiting for a table, you may want to just go try a different establishment that day! We live extremely close to this diner, so we just walk over from our house and, like I said, a 15-20 minute wait or so is about the same amount of time it would take for us to walk back home, get in the car, and drive elsewhere, therefore, it makes more sense for us to just wait. I will also add that it is cramped, most tables are for 2 people ONLY (as in they CANNOT accommodate more than two persons due to the layout), the counter/stool seats are limited to about 10 people, and even after a table is cleared and wiped down, its probably not going to be CLEAN. I was just there yesterday morning (and, yes, of course, Sunday mornings are probably the worst, or one of the worst, days to go due to the sheer number of people looking for a bite to eat after church, or the typical New England Sunday Drive crowd...etc.) and we waited a good 20 minutes for a table (and thats only because the mother and child in front of us opted to leave), and though I actually watched the young lady clean the table with a damp cloth, there was noticeable pieces of food still smeared across the table top. I know this is going to be a huge turn-off for a lot of people, but Im just not that high-maintenance....and I used to be a waitress (in a previous life, 30+ years ago)...so I can tolerate A LOT when it comes to these extremely fast-paced, high turn around, crowded, busy, loud, teetering on the edge of madness diners. A little smear of egg on my tabletop isnt going to stop me from enjoying a very yummy Sunday morning breakfast at a reasonable price --- I can handle extracting a napkin from the tabletop dispenser and wiping off a little food debris myself, if need be. The waitstaff in this joint are going a thousand miles per hour, literally flying from one end to the other, all while keeping your order straight, your coffee refilled, your needs tended to, and most importantly, keeping a smile on their faces while they do it!!!! I wish I could give them 4 & 1/2 stars because thats the rating they truly deserve. And, since I have not mentioned them yet, KUDOS to all the cooks here too --- they operate in full view of the patrons in a teeny tiny space and I have never once heard anyone raise their voice or show any degree of hostility to their fellow cooks, the waitstaff, the bus boy (or girl) or anyone else. Its truly a marvel to me how the 7 or 8 or 9 people they have working in that galley kitchen at any given time can function at all, let alone functioning without tempers flaring, plates breaking, injuries occurring and orders being screwed up. I couldnt do it for 5 minutes, so really....a big, happy, smiley 4.5 stars for the Lebanon Diner. It is our go to establishment for breakfast out, and that wont change unless theres some unforeseen catastrophe!!!! Thanks for reading my review and I hope it helps you understand what the Lebanon Diner is like and whether or not it is right for you. : - )
