We were used to Good Lebanese food from Canada and could not find it in San Diego until now. Healthy, big portions (especially the plates), we get the falafel and kofta (meatball). Excellent hummus and make sure you ask for some toast potatoes and garlic sauce, as it’s not on the menu.

They say online they are open until 6pm. It seems really odd that a place that serves dinner/lunch food closes before dinner, but whatever. So we decided to try it. We got here at 525pm and learned they had closed at 5. Their sign was still out. Super disappointing experience. Update your hours.

Not bad! I work around the corner and never knew about this place until I googled lunch near me today. This little hidden spot shares space inside the Shell minimart and there are a few small tables inside as well. The gentleman who took my order also cooked and packed my food to go, the kitchen is completely visible so you can see every step and ensure freshness. I ordered a gyro with rice, also asked for no tomatoes or onions and got a lot of both ☹️ but I do realize my order is unusual so Ive got no issues taking that stuff off myself. The whole process from order to take-out was easy, fast & I appreciated it for that. Id definitely eat here again.

3.5 stars. For a restaurant that is at a gas station and also serves as a gas station store, the food is surprising good. Ive had their chicken gyro and my cousin had their lamb wrap. He thought the food was good. The lady behind the counter was quite friendly.

Cozy little counter inside a mini mart, but fresh Mediterranean food at great prices. I almost airways have the Mediterranean chicken pita sandwich, which is grilled chicken, pickles, and sauce. Everything combed with fries or salad, and if you ask they will split it and give you both.Ive also had the Kaftah and it rocks. You can get ordinary sandwiches etc if you prefer, but why waste a opportunity for good med food?

Little hidden fresh fast food gem. Has good burgers and sandwiches, but the mediterrean is what makes this place a hidden gem. One star off because its in a gas station market so not the best ambience.

Its strange that its inside a gas station, but I tried the gryo and it was super good. The fries were also good, not McDonalds good, but at least they had less salt on them and I could enjoy them without ketchup. I highly recommend this place.

Whelmed, not over, not under, just, Whelmed. The actual place is located inside the Shell. You order straight when you walk into the doors and pick up is to the left. The Deli menu takes up 85% of the menu leaving just the left sliver for their Mediterranean dishes like kafta, gyro, chicken and falafel. The family who runs it is friendly, but they don’t do well when it’s busy. The décor is still a gas station, the wet up of the menu is weird because you really can’t see the whole thing from anywhere because the ceililng is way too short to design that way, my guess is vents were place for the grill. The case is great, if they had more variety, it’s just plates in a window, not dressed up, not fancied, maybe 4-5 at most. You are better off eating outside in the sun than inside.Yeah sure they have a basic American deli, but those BLT’s are basic, the turkey club makes me want to go to Subway, like super boring because your better off going to Green Leaf which does everything on their deli menu better.Too often I want Indian food, but end up settling for Mediterranean food. I think it’s really just a naan craving because I actually like Mediterranean rice more than the more basic Indian Basmati. Their cedar rice has nice aromatics, but usually sits too long and is a bit hard/sticks together. Taking the shape of the bowl it was in. The gyro are not cut from some huge rotating spit like you think it would so they quickly grill on flat top. It’s seasoned, but it ends up more fried than roasted to finish. You taste the herbs, but don’t smell them or see them. The amount given is usually hearty. Salad is basic with a strong dressing I’m not a fan of. The hummus is good, but the ratio on the platters of tsaziki and hummus is strange. Tons of hummus, very little tsaziki. Pit bread is good. They hit it with paprika at the end, but they usually use too much. You can really taste the lemon which I like. The value on the Mediterranean dishes is great. Their portions on dishes and plates are great, but just getting kafta, skewers or gyro might not be the best idea. It’s a great place if you really don’t want to walk to Chipotle or across the street, but if you really want Mediterranean or Greek food I suggest you go elsewhere and if you really want Deli sandwiches Green Leaf is better.

First time having a gyro and it was DELICIOUS!! My dad had the kafta with salad which tasted delightful as well. Although it is a bit odd that it is located within a gas station, the food is FAR from the typical hotdog and microwaveable burrito.Im visiting San Diego with my dad. A couple days ago, he had mediterranean food from The Marketplace Grill in the plaza across the street and he wasnt much of a fan of the food AND the price. His chicken plate there was about $18, whereas a plate here would be less than half that price with much better quality and taste.Good eats doesnt always have to be at a fancy shmancy place.
