I thoroughly enjoyed the entire Christmas tree π² farm experience when I joined a family group to watch their annual tradition. All types of evergreen trees from very small to very large grow naturally here on many acres of land across many fields with intermittent grasses, 2 ponds, and semi worn paths. People spread out to search for their perfect tree and they want to be sure about their choice of tree. Once a tree is claimed, a designated family member uses the saw provided by the farm to cut their tree at the base of the trunk. The tree is then carried back to the main tree business headquarters when they pay for the tree commonly costing $30-$40. Then the farm provides a complimentary service preparing each tree for its new indoor home using a tree fast vibration and shaking method for 10 seconds to remove loose needles and safely securing its branches in netting to protect it during transportation.
Absolutely love this place. Its the perfect Christmas family tradition. They have a great selection of trees to chose from. On top of that, they design a yearly ordament that comes with the purchase of your tree. Collecting these through out the years had been a fun way to highlight the familys yearly adventure!
We went for the precut trees and they had plenty. One type of tree to choose from though. The only negative about this farm is that they dont tie the tree down to the top of your car for you, (which we did not know before arriving here). This prices are the same as anywhere else. In the past years we have gone to Big Tree Plantation. Better selection of tree types and they tore it down for you. Back to Big Tree for us next year.
Sadly, limited on full grown trees this year. But you can get a nice 4ft tree for $43
Good old fashioned tree farm. Simple but very friendly. Grab a tarp and a saw and just head out into a field. You pick the tree and cut it down. Take it back to the lodge on the tarp. The boys put it on the shaker and wrap it up. They provide twine to help secure it to your car but that you do yourself. Check out, get a free annual handmade ornament, and some free hot chocolate. If it has rained it will be muddy. Good trees at a very good price. You just cant beat a nice family tree farm.
Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Relaxed atmosphere. Great experience, will definitely be back!
We have been coming here to cut down our family Christmas tree for over 15 years. There is a great selection of the trees. The farm is big enough that we go to a different section each year and have never had an issue finding a tree that we did not love. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, and you cannot beat the price for the tree you get (we get a large tree). Our children have gotten their pictures taken in the sled since they were babies. We love the handmade ornament and hot chocolate that comes with the tree. Coming here to cut down our tree is one of our favorite annual traditions.
Great experience. Fun family safe setting. Very well set up. Best prices in area for a live Christmas tree that you cut your own. They provided all what you need. I loved it.
Awesome family-owned and operated place. Today was our 5th year going, great experience every time and great prices! Also if youre looking for the perfect tree this isnt the place for you. But each tree has character, and with some pruning looks π
Great family experience been coming for years its been family run for generations. Every year they have a new hand made ornament with each tree purchase we collect them every year! Dont forget to get yours when you leave!
Dont listen to 1 star.We have gotten trees for the last 10 years. In different states like Indiana and Wisconsin. This place is as good as any. Plenty of saws and good staff.Cheapest prices we have paid in the past 5 years. Also got a free ornament!!Trees could have been better but we found a great one!
Nice enough people, but I cant in good faith recommend going here this year for a Christmas Tree. The selection of cut your own trees was really awful. Most that looked decent need another few years to grow before they are actually ready to be sold. The ones that were a good size were either partially dead already or so mishaped that no one would want them. The place was generally disorganized as well, as there was no way to tell which type of tree was where. We, along with several other people there at the same time, left without a tree. We went to a different farm that had a great selection, so its not due to the general weather conditions in the area; just not a well maintained tree farm.
Absolutely horrible. They are not kid or family friendly. They are rude!Canβt direct people where they need to park, horrible selection of trees. They wonβt bring the trees out from the barn and wonβt let you go into the barn to look. They donβt help you cut down the treesThe bathrooms are down a muddy hill that we fell down and there is no lock on the bathroom door. There doesnβt seem to be much privacy.
Weve been coming here for the last 4 years and have had wonderful, family experiences each and every time.
Love Berningers! Please remember, they DO NOT open until the day after Thanksgiving!
Have been coming here for years and its always great service and good time.
We love this place. Very helpful. Great service.
Great family tradition β€
Been driving 30 minutes to go to this family run tree farm for 25 years at this point. They couldnt be nicer.
Our favorite tradition! we love this place.
No saws, walked all over and couldnt find a good tree.
Good selection and good price. Plus each tree come with a free ornament.
No fir trees over 4-5 ft tall. Lots of pine though.
Absolutely beautiful tree selection!
The prices cannot be beat! Purchased a 9 pine for $35-$40 and it included a free ornament!
Super nice people & very helpful
