I brought my 1962 Healey Sprite to these guys back in the spring for a complete paint job. Unfortunately after applying the paint, over the following few weeks it began to react with the original paint and red began to leech through the new white paint. This caused the car to look like it had a horrible rash!! I alerted Maaco and they made arrangements for me to return the car after a summer of driving, and they would use a water based paint. Needless to say eventhough I was frustrated, Maaco came through and got the car to the level I desired for a cost that was fair. I learned alot especially about paint prep. If you think paint will hide imperfections no mater how small you are wrong!! Prep, prep, prep!Thank you Guys!

We were given an estimate for repairing a dent and repainting two panels. The paper quote said there might be dust in the finish and that sanding and polishing wasn’t included. We were concerned by this and asked prior to the work being done what this meant. We were told that the work being done would make it look just like the rest of the car. When we went to pick it up it looked horrible. The paint finish was bumpy, there were clearly dust particles in the finish and it did not look like the finish on the rest of the car. We were told at that time that making it look like the glossy finish on the rest of the car was not a service they provided. We asked them why they told us it would look like that when we questioned before the work began and were assured it would match. They couldn’t give us an answer. They did hold it for another day and worked harder to polish the finish. When we picked it up the next day it looked much better, but n close inspection, you can still see some of the bumpy “orange peel” finish.We plan to take our car in to another body repair shop that we feel will do a better job to finish this repair. I wish we had never taken it to Maaco in the first place. If they were clear about what you were and weren’t getting, our review would probably say something like, “inexpensive body work, but make sure you know what you’re getting.” But with the estimator telling us that the work would look the same car, we were misled. Incidentally, the language on the estimate is vague compared to other estimates we got, which is why we asked for clarification in the first place.

They were super up front and honest about what a new coat of paint would and wouldnt do for my truck. The price was great. Service was great and they finished WAY sooner than I was expecting. I will 100% be going back next time I need something painted!

Had a mid 2000s Toyota Corolla painted here, they did a great job! The quality of the materials they used seems to be on par with other more expensive paint shops. They were open and up front with me and communicated well (something rather rare in the automotive industry these days).

Jeremy and his team were absolutely great to work with! Upfront on the cost and time to repaint our vehicle. Drop off was after hours and very convenient. The job was scheduled to take five days and I was able to pick it up in three. The paint finish looks fantastic, and the post-paint instructions were very much appreciated. Would definitely recommend and will use their services again if needed.

Bring your debit card if possible bc they charge a credit fee (3%) and dont take checks.I came in for an insurance-covered repair and repaint. Its an older car, yet Maaco suggested we paint the whole car for a reasonable sum more (out of pocket) to help extend the life of the car and protect against rust spreading. It turned out great -- the car is all one color (instead of the insurance-repair portion looking different) and looks so much better. Its not perfect-- there are some minor spots youd see with a close inspection(but dont bother me), and a bit of paint on the car key, but we are fully satisfied with the professionalism, responsiveness of the employees and the quality of work.

I brought my old 80s Toyota pickup in to have a full respray quote on it. I had done all the body work myself, and they were the only shop in the area that said they would paint it. They had thousands of colors to choose from and I dropped it off a week later and was surprised to get a phone call from one of the managers (Jeremy) who told me to come down to check it out just a few days after dropping it off. I got to see it just a few hours after the clear coat was applied and I have to say it turned out amazing. From the final block sand to the clear coat, the painter and everybody else in the shop did a fantastic job. I chose to have a seal coat, primer, base, and clear coat applied and am very happy to say it was worth every dollar. The overall cost was less than 1/2 of what most body shops charge and they still did an amazing job with it. Would highly recommend this shop for good customer service, fast turn around time, and quality painting and auto body. 5/5 stars.

The factory paint was beyond rough on my AWD Chevy Express van but after installing a high top I wanted it to look better. Layton Maaco helped me affordably do that by painting the entire vehicle in a colored bed liner. The prices quoted was the price charged. The timeline for completion was accurate. The quality was on par with the expectation set by the shop. I enjoyed the straight forward honest approach the Layton Maaco uses. I would not hesitate to recommend this location to anyone.

This was my second time using this Maaco location. And again, they knocked it out of the park! The first time using them, I trusted them with the rear fender on my Harley Streetglide. They nailed the paint and color perfectly! This go-around, I asked them to get rid of some rust in my wheel wells and on the roof of my F-150. Jeremy suggested some armor protection on the roof. It turned out awesome! I am so pleased with this team of professionals and the work they’ve done for me. I will definitely be using them a third time in the near future for additional projects. I hit a deer a few months back and decided to fix it myself. (Tons of work, probably wont do it again). When I got everything wrapped up the last thing was just the paint which I knew for sure I couldnt do myself. I called around and got a few quotes. I got one quote for around 5k, one for up to 2 or 3k, and 3 cant really tell you over the phones. This Maaco was the only shop to give me an honest, up-front estimate of around $1,000. Not only was it the fairest priced, but I appreciated that they could just tell me what it was probably gonna cost. I took the car in and in half the time they even estimated it was done. And costed exactly what they quoted me. I have to say, they did an absolutely perfect job. Like perfect. I had areas I was concerned about from just myself not doing a good enough job fixing the car, and they made those disappear. These guys do an excellent job and are pleasant to work with. Hopefully I dont hit a deer or need any more body work soon, but if/when I do, this is where Im going.

This place is awesome. The owner goes out of his way to provide excellent services and value. He is very knowledgably and gives good advice. He goes over everything with you and pays close attention to detail. I came in for some help with some decorative plastic molding coming off of my car. He looked over it with me and offered to fix it on the spot. He stayed after closing time to do the service. He was very kind and helpful. Will definitely be going here again for any body work in the future for any of my vehicles.

Being an auto dealer for over forty years and having used Maaco in the past I am still reeling in disbelief at the poor job that was done matching paint color to a 2009 BMW x3. The paint color match is so poor that the vehicle is unsellable in present condition. When i brought it back to have them look at it in person I was told they would not do anything period! I sent pictures of the BMW to the owner of the Sandy Utah Macco with a full explanation of what had transpired. He told me that I would have never seen the vehicle looking that way, his shop would have repainted it before I was ever called to pick it up!!! Please note these shops are owned individually and different owners have different standards...I learned an expensive lesson,

I appreciate that they got rid of the old manager and his crummy helper. I had my truck painted 2 years ago, and I spent $4,068 on a great paint job to be done. What i didnt know was that they covered the rust on my bed with the chrome fender flares without telling me that the rust was severe. Now, 2 years later, Im having my truck done at Hatchs in Layton with new bed side skins, and Im back in it another 3,500 bucks. I do appreciate the new manager telling me that he couldnt fix it with his current staff, but it just makes me sick that it didnt get fixed right the first time. Also, once I washed it, the passenger side rust completely caved in, so you could tell they just painted over it.

Hands down 10/10 recommend! I used this location for repairs to the bumper of my vehicle after being rear ended. The owner was very polite and explained all fees to me- prices were more than reasonable. The repair center quoted me 3 days to accomplish the repairs and had my vehicle done on time. When picking up, the owner gave my son a crash course in auto body detailing which made him feel so special. My car was returned looking good as new. My work van doors needed some attention and getting it back as fast as possible was important. Jeremy had told me that it could take up to 3 days but that they would do their best to get it done in 2. Dropped the van off at 8 AM Monday morning and got it back at 4.30 PM on Tuesday, which was perfect. I was going to call someone to drive me back after drop off and Jeremy was kind enough to give me a ride. Everything at pick was smooth and everyone was courteous. Doors look great. Ugh I feel so bad writing a bad review, but I had went in there so get some trim work done and had been quoted $100, awesome because I was tight on money. So the guy I had talked to told me to come in anytime during the week and it should only take a couple hours, but he didnt get my name down or anything. I went in on my day off and it was someone different and I had explained what the previous guy had told me they would do. She barely listened to me and was mad about how late I came in which was totally understandable and I stated if they couldnt get to it in time that is okay I can find another day to come in. They did it and I came in before closing paid and went home. When I got home I noticed that they did not do what they told me they would and it looked so bad. So I called and spoke with the first guy who quoted me he apologized and had me email photos of what happened. So I emailed him and never heard back. So that was kind of unprofessional and upsetting because I have heard such great things about them ): So now Im out 100 for something that looks so bad

What can I say, other than wow. Ive always been a car guy, and there are few people I trust with my car. I brought my mustang in a few months ago for some dent repair and paint and was impressed. I decided to take a leap and have them paint my whole car. After getting it back today I just cant stop staring at it. The color was exactly what i wanted, and the quality is fantastic. I recently purchased an old RV and have started to renovate it. I had them paint the bottom portion because it was all faded. They did a great job and had it back to me when they said they would. I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs some work done at a fare price.

Very disappointed. Watch the bait & switch. Called three times. Spoke with a female associate. I explained I needed a trunk lid painted because the clear coat was beginning to come off. I was told if I bring the trunk lid in (off of car), it would cost $200 plus tax. I brought the trunk lid in and all of a sudden, the $200 quoted price was no longer valid. It was now higher. I was never told over the phone that they would need to see the trunk lid. It was a pretty straight forward job. Bait & switch. Dishonest and poor business approach. Be honest and clearly tell customers that you cannot give quotes over the phone. I wasted my time dropping off and picking up the trunk lid to take it elsewhere. I will never return.

Been trying to get my van fixed for a while after this maaco painted it. Ive been in on Saturdays when their website has said they were open and no on ebay there. Ive called a number of times and havent gotten through. Corporate maaco and the maaco problem dispute line have told me theyve call me back after a case was opened. I hope they do but havent heard anything. I paid a bit of money for this maaco to do some work on my van and paint it and its chipping in quite a few places. Theres also two dents on the car that werent there when I brought it in I noticed the day after I picked it up (picked up the van in middle of a big rain storm).I was glad this place did so much work to the van but it doesnt really seem worth it with it chipping off. Would be a bummer to pay this much for the work then have to go to another body shop to fix the problems with this paint job. I hope it can get resolved.

First things first is Jeremy and Julius where nothing but good dudes with me and took good care of me. But a few issues I had (probably had nothing to do with them) but communication was a big factor that was lagged on causing major headaches and stress for me because the job was definitely not what I wanted done but if communication came in account with this it wouldn’t of been a problem. Jeremy did make it right in the end and did an outstanding job on his end for taking care of me as a customer. But besides the point 2nd time I went to go pick up my vehicle I specifically wanted a few little things done on the vehicles flares such as rubber inserts that my old ones had but were not installed. Next day later I inspected the work when more light was out. paint started chipping. parts of the flares had already been cracking (drove it 3 miles from shop to my house and parked in garage) in order to put the new flares on my wheel spacers had to be taken off For some reason which I was okay with them doing. But whoever at this shop took them off and put my wheels on tightened All lugs WAY OVER exceeded amount it should of been and stripped the f**k out of 3 of my wheel studs which was a struggle to take the lugs off and put them back on once spacers were installed. Overall the work was okay not perfect but okay. But other than those issues huge Shoutout to Jeremy and Julius for taking care of me and my car as much as they could. Would recommend these guys another time

The service was timely and there was great communication throughout the process. Maaco in Layton did a terrific job with repainting my van and they were very good with guiding me through decisions along the way to have the best finish. I took in a 1998 Honda Accord that was looking really rough. No major body issues, but the paint was peeling all over the top, And the car just looked really bad. Its going to be for one of my kids, so I didnt want to spend a ton of money, but I wanted it to be something they werent ashamed to drive. Not only did Maaco deliver, they went above and beyond. They helped me track down a replacement cover for my trunk. They were extremely professional and gave me a great deal on the package I chose. And when it was all said and done, they actually finished the work three days earlier than anticipated. The car looked fantastic! My son whos going to drive it had tears in his eyes and was extremely grateful. It was a great experience, thanks to the guys at Maaco in Layton. I highly recommend you give them a try.

I had recently purchased a surplus state vehicle with bad oxidation on the roof and trunk. There was no extra paint to salvage so I had to take it in. We discussed a paint job that would cover the oxidative areas with quality paint and could blend in with the parts of the car that weren’t damaged. It was a very reasonable price for the job and I’m very pleased with the results! The paint blends well and no one would have thought that it had been oxidized before. If you ever need a paint job for a car, check this business out! And be sure to get recommendations from them — they know their cars well.

I would recommend the Layton Maaco location without any reservation as they approach their work in a professional, helpful and quality manner. Last year I had my truck painted in a Arizona Maaco location. Subsequent to the performance of the work I moved to the Layton area and a fender emblem (installed with double sided tape separated) from the fender and was lost. While the Layton location did not receive the financial benefits of the original work, the manager accepted the warranty issue without complaint and immediately addressed the issue and replaced the emblem. This business is an asset to the community.

This is the third car that I have had painted at macco. I was really impressed with this paint job. I did a color change and went from black to an alpine white. And I will say that it has been over 3 months since I have had the car painted and it looks great holding up to the Utah weather. This was on a bmw convertible, and the white looks great with the black top. The detail that was taken to make sure there was no overspray was top notch. It looked like it came from the factory.. Jeremy was so pleasant to work with and was very knowledgeable about the whole process.He was professional and has great customer service. I will say that you get a really great paint job for the price that you pay. It is a great value. I have had paint jobs in the past where it did not turn out they way I was expecting like overspray, painting over dirt etc this paint job had none of those things.
