We just had our house loaded up and crated. Read the reviews while watching them work and can say it was a terrible experience just like most of what I read.The guys were nice, but left their truck running out front blasting music for hours, which Im sure all the neighbors were thrilled about.The crates already had mold on them, so that was awesome for loading our mattresses (or ANYTHING) into.One of the guys were literally punching and kicking our mattresses into place in the crate. Noticed they were dragging things to the truck instead of carrying, so we sat in a chair outside and magically they fixed that major issue.Damaged our door taking a treadmill out and as the scratch happened the guy says get some, floors are terribly scratched, and Im sure most of our packed stuff will be in terrible condition when we see it again in months.Thanks Army for using a 2 star company.

I have used affiliated multiple times over the past few years. They have always provided fast and friendly service. They have moved my grandparents from their home into a retirement home. My grandmother can be difficult to please and she was thrilled with the way that they handled her belongings.Recently, I had them come and pack up some belongings to store. I was impressed with their service. Two men showed up and they carefully packed up my pool table. It was put into a crate for storage. I was impressed at the way that the men took their time and made sure that each piece was carefully wrapped. As they were finishing, I walked out to their truck. Everything was placed securely. I had absolutely no worries about any of my items. I know that they were packed by professionals.I would highly recommend them for any packing, moving and storage needs.

If your military, call your moving inspector and request a change of companys because theres a 90% chance that your items will arrive to you broken to pieces or if your part of the other lucky 10%, you wont ever see everything you own ever again...

Pardon my lack of enthusiasm here. This agency wants to get a $10 000.00 job done for $50.00, and it shows. Cheapskate, on everything they do. I’ve been on the receiving end of that.I suspect an intellectual deficiency in management, but I have not had the privilege of speaking to one of these privileged souls.Maybe a visit by United van Lines Corporate would help to get things straight,.........no?There’s a Globglogabgalab lurking.Welcome to Lawton, Oklahoma.

We called these guys kind of last minute, but they said no problem and scheduled our move. On the day of the move they arrived on time and got right to work, they informed us of everything throughout the entire move and in a matter of hours had us moved completely across town. I highly recommend these guys, I just dont recommend calling them last minute like I did, although they took it in stride. Again these guys are great, and are truly professionals. Great job guys thank you!!!!!

This is my first review ever. I am taking the time to write this review because of the horrible experience I had with this company.My house hold goods were scheduled to be picked up on a tuesday, when the truck arrived they told me that they went over weight on the previous move and did not have enough room on the truck for our stuff. This meant we would have to do an overflow shipment. That wasnt too big of a deal to me.Affiliated said that they would be by the pick up the overflow at around 1pm. After waiting and numerous calls, 2 men showed up at 9pm. It was so late, that all they did was an inventory. They insured us that someone would be by firsy thing in the morning. Well, they didnt show up until about 1130 and thats where the real problems started. The two individuals who showed up to load our last 2k lbs of mostly furtinure, took about 6 hours to do so. They were also extremely unprofessional. They fought and cursed at each other the whole time, and at one point were yelling at each other in our front yard. The driver, when taking apart our desk was beating on it and broke it so bad that we cant put it together anymore.When our overflow shipment arrived. Our driver told us that the forklift operater in his fascility told him that when he offloaded the crated from the truck coming from affiliated, they were so badly broken, that they had to put our furniture from one of the three crates on pallets. The driver that picked the three crates from affiliated also said that he got the crates from affiliated badly damaged and he had the documentation to prove it.When opening the 3rd crate all of our stuff looked like it had been thrown into the container. Litteraly thrown on top of each other. Our 800 dollar rowing machine, our lawn mower was put in sideways so that oil drained into the carb, our 300 dollar blackstone grill was badly bent. How can any moving company allow a crate to be packed like this. Avoid at all costs. This was a military move, so I cant pick. However, I will be making a formal complaint.

Pack date 25 August 2016Unfortunately being that I am military I didnt choose my movers. This is the second time I have been moved by the military and the first time was phenomenal and I was moving a 3 bed 2 bath apartment and they were so amazing!! This time I am only moving a barracks room. Which is basically a master bedroom and I already have two boxes that are already packed because I didnt unpack them myself. First of all, they were supposed to contact me the day or two prior to the pack date, Thursday. I was unable to get in contact with anyone and I had to go to my transportation office to actually get in touch with someone the Wednesday before. They told me they had not gotten to scheduling and to call back around 4:30 or 5 that same day. Mind you this was scheduled the week prior. Anyways, when I called, Raymond (who I spoke with), told me he still hadnt looked at the scheduling but looked and proceeded to tell me they would be there around 1. He then asked me if I would like a call if something changes. I said yes. So Thursday, they did not show up at 1 so, around 2 I called and Raymond told me that they should be on there way at that he would call them( so much for calling if something changed). He didnt ask to call me back nor did he even try to call back and let me know anything. So another hour goes by and I was about to call and ask where they were and the finally showed up. Now no one said sorry we were late or anything. Instead I showed them what was needing to be packed and they huffed and puffed because they didnt bring enough supplies or boxes. As I was watching them pack I slowly grabbed things that I did not ruined and decided to take them with me.They were very rough with my breakables and packed my stuff in a very rough manner. I feel like they wouldnt want their valuables packed in that same manner! As I was watching them I was getting more and more upset. I grabbed somethings that I refused to let them pack and continued to watch. Now, in the middle of this they had to call someone to bring more boxes. So they told me they would wait outside until the other people showed up. Which is fine. But I did tell them everything that was being packed the day before but I guess they didnt put that into consideration?? They left everything in a whirlwind and walked out. So since they didnt want to clean up their mess I did it for them. I would think that being that they are working with military they would be a little more respectful... Never mind I would think being that they are a professional company they would be a little more respectful! Im very disappointed in this company and hope the army drops their contract with his company and finds people who have a little bit more pride!

Up front: this is a long post, sorry.Dont ever use Affiliated Van Lines (sub to United) to move you (if you have an option). I am in the military, and this has been the worst pack and load experience in the 30+ years Ive experienced it. Im on my FIFTH day of pack and load, and only got done before 2200 one time. The company is so mismanaged the packers and loaders cant keep up.Here is my timeline for those curious:26 June, 0700: at house, waiting26 June, 1930: first Packers show up, work until 2200 when I tell them to go home. They had been working since 0700, and were noticeably tired. I never received a call to tell me where the crew was at any point during the day.27 June, 0700: at house, waiting27 June, 0830: Packers show up and pseudo finish my household goods packing at 1530.28 June, 0700: at house, waiting28 June, 0830: Packers show up for non temp storage before household goods have packed or loaded. This element was scheduled for 1 July. I call dispatch to notify them of the mix up and ask them to return Monday. My home is not prepared for non temp storage.28 June, 1630: truck shows up to begin loading and finish packing big items, again without notification of where my crew was. Two of the six crates to ship my stuff to Germany are literally falling apart. Truck driver has to leave to get two new crates, returns two hours later. Call it a night, albeit incomplete, at 2315.29 June, 0700: at house, waiting. This is Saturday, and the day AFTER my household goods shipment should have been complete. At 1430, finally lose my cool and call the dispatcher to find out where my crew was.29 June, 1600: crew shows up to finish packing and loading. Day is finished at 2230. I had to personally repair crates that arrived, as the sides were completely off.1 July, 0700: at house waiting for non temp storage packers to arrive. At 1030, loading crew shows up to load what they presumed was already packed. Loaders do not know how to pack, but spent the day doing it anyways because packers are unavailable. So here I sit in my home again at 2100 with an incomplete job and AT LEAST an hour of work remaining.I will say that the crew that has shown up has been polite and professional with me. They have been careful with my belongings and I appreciate that.Fort Sill inspectors have been notified, and I intend to take this further so it doesnt happen to anyone else, at least in the military. Please pray for my property. I am not confident in the capabilities of this company.

I would not recommend this company..I had a simple in town move..that went terrible gun safe was dropped off truck..bed set was secretly damaged as well as damage to both my old home and my new home...I figured the insurance would do the right thing but sadly that didn’t happen after the damage to the gun safe and both homes..I was only left with 255 that doesn’t even cover the adjustable bed frame that was destroyed..and after talking with insurance I have gotten no reply after they sent their letter..so unless you want to pay to have your home destroyed I would not recommend this company..cause now I am stuck with paying out of pocket thousands

We had a complicated move because we had many antiques and art work and lived on a mountain road. Not the normal household items. The packing was thorough (Thanks Delores). The movers worked hard and took excellent care to prevent any breakage. Very efficient team. We went over the initial quote and yet they stuck to the amount originally quoted. Big thanks for a very good move.

We are military and this was set up through the military so we were not able to choose the moving company but if we had the opportunity to we would not choose this one. They were a day and 2 hours late to come pick up our shipment. We were told the day they were originally supposed to come that they would come in the afternoon but they called later in the evening saying they couldn’t come due to a scattered thunderstorm and had sent their crew home. Then they told us we would be a morning pick up the next day between 7-730am which also did not happen. They came two hours later after we called several times. They also were told to pick up another load before ours which I was told that ours was first. The customer service with this company is horrible and so is the communication. I do not highly suggest this company to anyone! Save your money and look else where!

After waiting for 9 days for my delivery, the day finally arrived when we would receive our shipment. Only after calling this “company” (albeit ill managed), they informed me my shipment would arrive after 1pm. It is now 5pm and I am still waiting. Their customer service is reprehensible and assured my family and I our shipment would be on time. This company gave me the appointment and failed to meet their own prescribed deadline. This alone should say how they treat customers as well as how poorly they organize themselves.

Absolutely no stars!! Horrible at everything. After being scheduled for two weeks. Their Guys overslept so they were more than an hour late. When I called to complain,they were not willing to work with me in any way. Putting my family in a bad spot. Then at the last minute the manager called off her workers because they felt they could not work with me because I was upset. Well yeah I was upset!! Who wouldnt be? I wouldnt let my worst enemy use this company. Dont waste your time.

MILITARY/ANY FAMILIES- Please stay away. Request any other moving company. Just heed this advice. Customer service has been some of the most horribly rude interactions Ive had with any company and we genuinely interact kindly with everyone we meet. Weve been around the ringer, been cut off on the phone & placed on hold after being asked to detail our issues, been lied to by an aggravated woman saying Ive talked to your spouse multiple times about this when we had not even called to check on our shipment yet. We feel unnecessarily disrespected and upset that this moving process we worked so hard to make positive has been trashed by this company.The movers were a fantastic team of capable men who were courteous. The packers were swift (and violent with our belongings) but acted like they were severely inconvenienced by their own jobs and seemed to have been fighting amongst each other silently, making us feel like strangers in our own home as they were packing up.

Giving these deadbeats 1 star is a compliment. My wifes review is in her former name which is why the owners say they cant identify her, if they want to check again, they can look up Sally Ray. Also the name of the so called manager that called the crew off was named Stacy. I was loading things in my truck the whole time my wife was on the phone with her, and although she was upset with them, she was not cussing or yelling at her. Actually her review is very nice. It all started with the first call that morning saying that theyve had several people call in sick so the were only sending a 2 person crew but cutting the rate to $125. They were supposed to be there at 9:00 AM. By 9:30, still nothing so my wife called them and was told that one of the guys overslept and the driver was going to pick him up, this shows you the kind of people they have working there. Around 10-10:30 she gets a call saying theyre at 11th and Gore which is only 10 minutes from our house. Another 30-45 minutes passes and theyre still not there, when we get a call saying theyre trying to find our house. Its 1 block off of Flowermound in a common neighborhood so my wife tells them how to find it (basically 1 turn and then another). After more time has passed and still nothing, she calls back and asked to speak to a manager which is when she gets wonderful Stacy and was told the drivers were being called back. All was not lost though, because we called City Moving and Storage who sent someone out immediately to assess our things and within an hour was back and packing and the move was completed late that same day. I also had a friend who was going to use Affiliated but after hearing of our experience ended up using another company.

Military Experience: JPPSO coordinated with Affiliated Van Lines to move my household goods to my incoming assignment. The movers were supposed to unbox the contents so that items can be inspected. The lead member of the group protested this and ordered his team to leave. One of the things that JPPSO briefs the military is for the movers to unbox everything. My wife Skyped me when I saw their behavoirs and the aggressive manner they took placing my items in my house. They failed to setup my furniture too like JPPSO briefed. To my fellow MILITARY members, when JPPSO selects a moving company for you, do not have them select Affiliated Van Lines of Lawton.

This has been the worse experience ever in life! I do not recommend this moving company at all especially for MILITARY FAMILIES! yes they arrived to pack on time but was not very good with handling my living room TV, the guys that came complained majority of the time about how they hate their job and how they are over worked, I got rushed to get a place in my new state so they could deliever 4 days early just to find out they delivered only 10 things out of 58things, cause they lost more then half my stuff, I was told my shipment was going to be a direct shipment, but some how in 1 day my stuff is Lost now me and 3kids will have to suffer not having dishes, pots and pans, vacuum, microwave, or anything we really need in our home... my husband is overseas stressed!!! About this matter, they brought my kitchen table with no legs, a tray to a high chair but no high chair, my baby stroller with a wheel missing, please do yourself a favor save the stress and the tears go to somebody else if anyone wants to keep up with whats going on feel free to contact me.

20 plus years in the military and this is the worse move ever.Long story short - they did not bring the packing material or crates to do even a 7K move. Its 1930 Im half packed and I have no idea if they are coming back tonight with the stuff or in the morning. RAY the dispatcher told me its not his job to take the heat for it so a little heated I ask to speak to his supervisor so he laughs and tells me not too many people in the office above him but I can call back in the morning and he hangs up.I recommend all the military personnel that have been screwed over by this guys file a complaint with transportation if enough of us complain they will lose their contract.

One of the worst shipping company I have ever encountered. Well, first of all, I need to clarify: the shippers were very friendly and helpful and had the curtesy to call me an hour before they arrived to deliver . HOWEVER, customer service was absolutely horrible. The moment you run into a issue with your shipment, not only were they not understanding, they were actually rude! The representative that I talked to said Im going to end this conversation right now....this is not our problem, YOU need to figure out a way to make this work and tried to hang up on me numerous times. When I asked her what she would do if she was in my situation (considering that she claimed to have years of experience working with cases like this), she just kept trying to redirect me to someone else, saying that was not her problem and not her job to help me. Never will I ship anything with them again because I dont want to run the risk of having to deal with customer service.

They tried to charge me $25 dollars an hour to go through my crate when it was already three weeks late. Also wouldn’t let me go through the box that i needed to make sure I’m taking the right one. I got the one that said Mil gear. I ended up taking the wrong one. Had no military gear in it and is again trying to charge me $25 to switch it. They not delivering until the 9th

I havent finished unpacking, but our HHGs were delivered yesterday. My couch was taken out of my house not wrapped in plastic, I asked SEVERAL times why it wasnt wrapped, are they going to wrap it in plastic and when. I was told and assured that my couch was going to be wrapped by the driver because it was required of him. Well, my couch was NEVER wrapped! We had SEVERAL things broken. My husband and I were also told the driver wasnt there to pick up our stuff because he couldnt get on post. In OK the only reason you wouldnt be able to get on post is 1. you have a warrant 2. you cant pass a background check :/ So, they packed our stuff on 2 different trucks then transported it to the company and unloaded and repacked our stuff once again! Broken things I get; trucks bounce things break. But, my issue is, ALL of it couldve been prevented if the items were actually boxed or properly wrapped! I.E my authentic handmade spear by an Indian art designer, my daughters longhorns, my daughters piano etc, etc. Very disappointed in this move, and its our 3rd PCS in the 10 years my husband has been in the service. Im grateful were able to get our things moved for us, but with a headache like this Id rather have the headache of doing it myself and know our items are being cared for. You know the saying treat people how you want to be treated? Well, I think this company should apply this saying to their company orientation. Treat others HHGs how you would want your HHGs treated.

Horrible company terrible service...They NEVER COUKD GIVE US A LEAVING DATE CORRECTLY QUOTED US ONE PRICE AND IT TRIPLED BY THE TIME THEY PACKED OUR STUFF....NOW WE STILL ARE WAITING TO SEE IF AND WHEN THEY WILL DELIVER OUR THINGS WHICH COUKD TAKE UP TO 17 DAYS!! I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN IN LIFE...RENT A UHAUL HAVE THEN LOAD YOUR THINGS AND THEY WILL UNLOAD IT TOO...YOU JUST HAVE TO DRIVE THE TRUCK!!! IF I COULD I WOULD GIVE THIS COMPANY A NEGATIVE RATING!!!

NO STARS!!!! zero!! horrible. If you are in the military, try not to get this company. They packed my stuff and delivered it. I had, HAD!!!!, a 6 piece sectional couch which they lost 3 of 6 pieces but since they only inventoried it as 1 piece, i did not get reimburse. Also missing was glass pieces of a TV stand. again, no reimbursement because they did not even write it down in the inventory. Damaged upon delivery was multiple furniture but their inventory sheet stated it was damaged prior to the move. so again not reimbursement. Then they send 3 people to move my house hold goods into the house. HORRIBLE!!!! 1 was too old to move anything. the 2nd didnt know English couldnt read fragile on the box which had plates, drinking glasses, etc. so of course this guy places 90 pounds of weight lifting dumbbells on it and breaks some items. again, no reimbursement because they labeled the glass as damaged prior to pickup on the inventory.....no reimbursement. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. HORRIBLE!!!!!!! ask for another company. i warn you now.

In a word.... Nightmare (a terrifying or very unpleasant experience or prospect).Affiliated Van Lines of Lawton, OK was contracted for the final segment of my military retirement move which involved picking up my household goods from non-temporary storage and delivering them to my new residence.Sounds simple enough for a trucking company. This is what should have happened.Dates are confirmed. Bill of Lading all set.Trucking company has truck, trucking company picks up boxes, trucking company drives to new residence, trucking company unloads boxes.Didnt quite go like that. This is what really happened.Dates are confirmed (I have the emails). Bill of Lading all set (again, I have the emails)Trucking company doesnt pick up boxes, trucking company doesnt drive to new residence, trucking company doesnt unload boxes, trucking company doesnt contact customer, customer contacts trucking company from empty house on scheduled delivery day, trucking company gives excuses excuses excuses and cant understand why Im less than happy, boxes still in storage, no resolution in sight. THE END.Now of course Im back to navigate the night-terror government bureaucracy that took 2 months of the type of devotion that only mothers and combat veterans understand to get the shipment scheduled in the first place (The government bureaucracy debacle is a whole other story). Hopefully the government will reschedule quickly and with a different carrier. Of this I am not so optimistic as I just retired from a big government bureaucracy and am painfully aware of the ills of big governments.The good news is when I called Affiliateds claims department she offered to buy me some paper plates to hold me over.Last night I had visions of Affiliated Van Lines employees resting comfortably watching Matlock on a 70 inch plasma from the comfort of their sofa after a home cooked meal eaten off of fine china and looking forward to a comfortable nights rest on their Sealy Posturepedic while I ate chinese take-out on the floor from paper plates watching youtube on my phone dreading a terrible nights sleep in my sleeping bag on the floor.Great Job Affiliated.... You Nailed It!
