I cant rate this place highly enough. Great if you need a refurbished computer or parts for many popular branded systems like Dell, Lenovo, Apple, and others. If you build or repair your own machines, this is also a great place to get parts without having to wait for shipping. Hard disks, RAM, power supplies, even SATA cables, stuff like that. If its not listed on their website, just email and ask if they have it. When I need something today, I check with RTR first.

This was my first experience with Renewable Technology Resources and it was fantastic. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, honest and organized. They took the time to break down the technical jargon into simple terms that can be easily understood for someone like me who is less versed with technological lingo. They explained the facts about my old laptop and helped find me a fair priced replacement that completely fit my needs. They brought my very old laptop back to life but I ended up buying a new laptop and a desktop unit because the prices were too good to pass up. I was in the Lawrence area on business to take pictures of surplus equipment. The memory card from my camera got stuck in my laptop. Card would not eject nor would laptop read the pictures.RTR retrieved the card from the laptop and assisted with transferring contents of memory card while I waited so I could make my flight out of town.Company is very professional and helpful. We have purchased dozens of computers from many many places for family members over the years and this is by far the best experience we have ever had. I have never trusted a business more. For example, one of the computers I purchased was an expensive specialty-built machine (which I expected to cost lots more) so I wanted to prepay, but they would not let me. Every person in this company is cheerful and happy to help with even the most ridiculous of questions. (I think if I had arrived with a flat tire, they might have changed it.) I had many many questions about using my new computer (I am old and not terribly tech-savvy), and any other company might have referred me to the manual, but they were extremely patient with me although I am sure I was annoying. But what my husband appreciated was the boodle of money we saved. He was prepared to spend a small fortune to have the laptop he killed repaired, but RTR found a far cheaper way to keep him computing. On another occasion, I was going to buy a whole brand new computer from them since I had broken mine, but instead they diagnosed it as a broken $20.00 power cord. All the computers we have purchased have been way below listed price. My only complaint with the company is that I couldnt convince one of their engineers to move in with us and answer our computer questions on a daily basis as they arose. I bought a part on ebay from them. After putting the part on the computer I figured out that was not the problem and wanted to return the part.
